Grounds and ExteriorLocated several miles outside of the southern outskirts of Coronet, the academy has large expanses of forest outside of the eastern, western and southern sides of the high stone walls that surround the academy grounds. A gated entrance on the academy's northern side is the only opening in the outer walls. The academy grounds are largely open save for the intermittently spaced meditation or ornamental gardens on the northern and southern sides, and there are approximately 120 yards between the outer wall and academy, making an unobserved approach difficult. A large, enclosed hangar with it's doors opening to the east is situated on the southeastern side of the academy. The front, northern entrance, to the academy is situated at the top of a stairwell leading up from the grounds and at least one Jedi Knight or Master is stationed at the front entrance at all times, with at least an additional Knight or Master also being stationed in the hangar. The hangar has an exit leading onto the southern grounds.Video monitors are positioned on all sides of the building and the lighting within the gardens and on the building is designed to prevent the chance of an unobserved approach across the grounds. The camera feeds are monitored at all times and the lighting is meticulously maintained. Additional cameras are located in the public areas of the academy, specifically near the entrances, in the corridors and outside of certain areas including the archives, council chambers, infirmary, dining hall, infirmary and armory.Ground Floor The front entrance opens onto a long hall with branches to the east and west located beyond two stairwells that lead to the second floor.
The eastern corridor leads to the dining hall and hangar, with the western corridor leading to the new student center, lightsaber and basic Force training classrooms. The southern portion of the academy's first floor is occupied by additional classrooms, administrative offices and conference rooms.Second Floor The upper floor is where the council chambers, guest quarters, dorms and archives are located. The dorms are on the eastern side, the guest quarters in the center and the council chambers and archives on the western side.BasementThe basement is where the infirmary and generic training rooms are located, along with a small armory where blaster rifles and other weaponry are stored.

Hyatt Ashton, a tall, broad shouldered native Corellian with a muscular boxer's build that even his loose fitting khaki tunic and pants and brown hooded outer robe cannot fully conceal, crosses his arms over his chest as, from atop the steps leading from the grounds to the front doors of the academy, he watches an elderly, brown furred female Bothan lead a small group of learners and initiates through the ornamental gardens adorning the grounds towards a clearing where they will be drilling in lightsaber technique under the Bothan's instruction.
When the Bothan, Master Fervse'dra, and her charges have gone from his view, Hyatt turns his blue eyes from them to gaze out watchfully over the grounds.

Terra slowly made her way from the entrance hall out into the academy grounds, as was routine for her in the mornings. She had always preferred to be outside while meditating, finding the fresh air and peaceful nature of the grounds outside the academy to be far easier to meditate in than in some room inside. She hadn't seen Serrin yet, though she didn't need Ashla's guidance to know that her teacher probably wasn't too far away. Terra almost never rose earlier than her master.
Sighing softly, the young woman took a seat in one of the meditation gardens and closed her eyes to begin her morning communion with Ashla.

The Corellian Headmaster, one of three that make up the triumvirate that are the institutional leaders of the premier academy of jedi learning in the galaxy, Will Son'tir steps out into the open air and gives a big stretch and a huge inhale, giving an observer the feeling that Will has been stuck inside for quite sometime. . .

Hyatt grins a lop-sided and distinctively Corellian grin as, once Master Son'tir has emerged from the acacdemy, the bearded Master commences to stretch and yawn not, in Hyatt's estimation, unlike a bear that has only recently awakened from hibernation. Well aware of Son'tir's thoughts on he prefers to be addressed and how a Jedi should conduct oneself, Hyatt takes a moment to adopt a shoulders back and chin up posture of military attention before, the crooked grin not leaving his face, saying in a voice that could carry well over the sounds one might find on a battlefield, a voice that, nonetheless, contains the hearty cheer that Hyatt is known for, "Master Son'tir, a good morning to you, sir! I would have thought, Master, that you would have already set out to right wrongs and slay dragons both proverbial and literal. Taking the morning off, are we?"
Grounds - Meditation Gardens
Having been strolling idly on the banks of the reflective pool in a small, shaded copse of trees not far from where Terra and I customarily conduct our morning meditations, I, when becoming aware of her presence, make my way from the pool to where she has taken her seat and, dropping silently into a kneeling meditation position beside her, close my eyes and enter into my own communion with Ashla. We have long since passed the stage where Terra requires my guidance for something as integral to the life of a Jedi as meditation and so our mornings nearly always, save for those times when she has questions or I wish to give her a topic or subject to meditate upon, begin in the quiet of our personal meditations; this morning is one of the quiet ones.
After a time, which passes in the seemingly timeless manner true meditation can pass in, I surface from my meditation and, habit making it instinctual I suppose, can see and sense that Terra has done so as well. My left lekku swishes to curl around the outside of my hip as, without rising for the time being in case Terra has anything she would like to discuss, I say to her, "Good morning, and then ask the by now sure to be familiar question, Tell me, what have you returned with this morning from your communion with Ashla?"

Terra opened her eyes as she came out of her meditation and smiled."Good morning."She shrugged at her teacher's question, one that she was asked almost every morning after a meditation. Ashla hadn't really shown her anything during her meditation, at least nothing important enough to share. Sometimes she would see things, but most of the time, it was just a peaceful moment to start the mornings off."I didn't really...see anything this time."

Master Will Son'tir finishes his stretches and cocks an eyebrow to the slightly younger Corellian as he brings him self to attention. Will spins on his heelsto face his chest at Ashton; Will's tongue explores the inside of his mouth, cheeks and lips as he squints in a assessing manner-- appraising the clear precision and discipline Hyatt is exhibiting. "It is after breakfast." Master Son'tir said as a matter of factly. "That is a BEFORE breakfast activity. It is already done." Will takes a snap back hand slap towards Hyatts tense midsection as if to say, cut it out. "What so you, bud. How are the crops growing?" referring to the padawans who are conducting their routine meditations in the Gardens just outside the front entrance. Will crosses his arms across his prominent chest and listens with genuine intent. As a Headmaster of the Academy he truly is concerned about the progress of the upcoming classes of knights that are preparing for their trials to knighthood.

Tilting my head to the side with a frown more theatrical than sincere when Terra reveals that Ashla revealed nothing of great import to her during their communion, I ask rhetorically, "Nothing at all? Well then, I say with exaggerated gravity as I stand, Perhaps tomorrow morning I shall have to return to my custom of giving you an area of focus to see if, by focusing on it, your meditation proves more productive? Smiling to reveal that the threat was an idle one as opposed to one that was meant in any earnestness, I shake my head to underscore that fact and then, beginning to walk along a path leading from the garden we are in towards a nearby ornamental rock garden, wait until Terra has fallen into step beside me and, casting aside the playful tone as I turn to one of the areas of our recent focus now that our lessons have gone from learning of the Force and what it means and requires of one to be a Jedi to a focus on Terra learning of herself so that she might learn to better exercise the self control being a Jedi demands, ask Terra, Have you had any success in your efforts to recall more of your past? Of the . . . missing time that you have been unable to account for?"

Hyatt smiles, managing to avoid laughing aloud only with a supreme effort, as Master Son'tir answers the question he had been asked with customary vim and vigor and no small amount of hyperbole. "Before breakfast? Most impressive Master. As always, Hyatt adds with a bow, and then, adopting a less bantering tone, answers the question that had been asked of him by saying, The crops are doing well, Master. For the most part at any rate. I am sure you heard of Ak'sa Den'prone's dismissal? The lad was more suited for the Agricorps, I think we all knew it. Still, I must confess I was a bit sad to see him go. On the other hand, Master Teb believes that her padawan, Vaayla, will soon be ready to face her Trial of Spirit. We may have another Knight soon I believe; Vaayla will be a good one. Resting his chin on the knuckles of his right hand, Hyatt pauses a moment and then adds, One area of possible future concern, one I trust you're already well aware of Master, is the decrease in the enrollment of initiates we've seen of late. We may want to look into tasking Investigators to make a more concerted effort to seek out potentials."

Will rubs the tasteful stubble on his chiseled features as Hyatt gives him a breakdown and concerns about lower enrollment as of late. Will snorts as the younger Corellian provides the suggested related to the Investigators. "Yea, if you can ever find those gits. I haven't heard from Zane since his knighting. Ungrateful twit, saving the galaxy in ways we don't yet know."
Will's thoughts drew not only to his former Apprentice, but during the time when he was a younger master and galavanting anonymously through the galaxy in a similar fashion; understanding the life he lives. He shakes off the concerns and nostalgia and focuses back on Hyatt. "But I will drop your concerns to High Councilor Pulastra, next time I SEE HIM." Will winks at Hyatt; a clear Corellian understanding as frontline warriors defending the Republic, it is a common conception that High Council rarely meets and allows each of the masters to administrate in a . . . decentralized fashion this moment. Still, Will respected the Council; especially his twi'lek counterpart that now resides in the Gardens with her Padawan this moment. "Have you shared your concerns with Mum?" Will cocks his head to the twi'lek Headmaster.

Of the . . . missing time that you have been unable to account for?" Terra smiled at Serrin's dire threat of a more structured meditation, and got up to follow her down the path leading out of the garden. She took a deep breath, savoring the fresh air and tranquility of the gardens, something she always appreciated having come from the filthy slums of Nar Shaddaa.
Her smile faded quickly when Serrin asked her if she had recovered any of her lost memories, of which she hadn't. There was only the very small bit she remembered from a nightmare she had, but that felt like so long ago, and she barely remembered it at all. Even so, it wasn't something she ever liked to talk about, mostly because she was terrified of what her past might hold. What little she knew was not pleasant at all. Her eyes lowered to the ground and she shook her head."N-no...I still don't remember."

Hyatt, pretending to rub the tip of his nose with an oh so serious I am listening intently to the pearls of wisdom you are dispensing expression, laughs soundlessly when Will, dispensing said pearls of wisdom, which sound oddly more like pearls of good natured griping than of wisdom, and then, nodding to convey agreement with the griping, suggests, "If we cannot find those we have, or think we have, perhaps we ought to look into finding a few more that we'll keep a better eye on? Investigators I mean. Shrugging as though to suggest it may not be his place to make such suggestions, Hyatt moves on, following Will's gaze towards where Master Roma, or the Mum in Will's concluding question to Hyatt, is walking towards the foot of the steps with her padawan and shakes his head, confessing, I haven't mentioned it to Mum as yet, no. It looks like I'll have a chance to do so in a moment here though, doesn't it?"
Meditation Gardens
I nod, lips pursed in thought, when Terra reveals that she has met with no success where recovering her lost memories is concerned. That she has continued to be thwarted is mildly troubling; as I cannot be sure that her lack of progress is due to apprehension on her part or the extensiveness of the repression or other mechanism involved in her inability to recall her memories. Neither possibility is comforting; the former suggesting that Terra is allowing her fear of what she may discover to prevent her from sincerely making an effort to search her mind for the memories and the latter indicative of some form of manipulation. If Terra is to successfully complete her Trial of Spirit, she will need to be as prepared for what she might face as possible; something that her present inability to recover her memories prevents.
As we begin walking up the steps towards the entrance of the academy after making our way through the gardens, I see from the expressions and postures of Will and Hyatt that one or both of them may have something they wish to say and, as I have a message to relay to Will as well, elect to remain silent for the moment on the subject of Terra's memories. Reaching the top of the steps, I incline my head in a bow meant for both Will and Hyatt and then smile as I say, "Good morning to you both. Turning to address Will, I note with an exaggeratedly surprised tone, It is so . . . strange to see you standing still, Will. Are you feeling well? With a laugh, I continue, It is fortunate that I've found you in a rare stationary moment, now that I think of it, as it saves me the trouble of trying to track you down to tell you that I'll need you to pencil in a meeting on Coruscant soon. There will be a ceremony held at the temple, elevating a Knight to a Master, and the Council has another matter that we wish to discuss with you personally."

Will smiles broad to both the female jedi making there way up the stairs and legitimately giggles at Serrin's genuine attempts at Corellian humor; she will get it one day. What some might find enthusiastically curious is that the jedi master clasped his hands behind his back and began to stride in step with his twi'lek counterpart. Will winks at Serrin. "You know I do what I can to give back to the 'Old Folks Home.' What does the stuffy bunch have for me this time? And which knight is stuck with the sorry task of elevation?" Will's mocking sarcasm included the High Councilor, but her relative youth was apparent with her serenity.

Terra was glad when Serrin didn't inquire any more about her lost memories. To be honest, she hadn't really given it much effort, partly because she was afraid of what she would find, and partly because she didn't know how one would go about it. How would she go about getting them back when she didn't even know why they were missing in the first place? Maybe if she knew the reason why they were gone, then maybe they could find a way, though the prospect of remembering wasn't exactly one she was excited about.
She remained silent as they approached the steps leading up to the academy entrance, spotting both Master Son'tir and Knight Ashton there. She politely inclined her head, like Serrin had done, but she continued to remain silent while they conversed.

Playing straight woman to Will's comedian, I give him a dubiously skeptical arch of the thin ridge of muscle over my left eye to teasingly suggest I am uncertain whether he is attempting to be humorous or skirting the edges of irreverence with his glib statement and queries and then, after a pause as though deliberating whether to answer said queries, answer in an even tone that suggests I have elected to answer as though the questions were not glib, "Knight Matango, though he is not, as yet, aware of his impending promotion. As for the council's business with you, that, I allow a hint of a smile to curl the left corner of my lips upward as my right lekku swishes playfully behind my back to, in one observant enough, reveal my amusement with the council's decision to conceal what lays in store for Will on Coruscant, is something that will be revealed to you when the time arrives for it to be revealed to you."
Awaiting Will's reply, I turn towards Terra and, as it was something I had been planning to tell her soon, tell her now, "As you may have already surmised, we will be journeying to Coruscant soon. It will be your first time, I believe, at the temple there, will it not?"

Terra looked back at Serrin and nodded, having never been to the Temple(that she remembered), though she had been to Coruscant once before. That hadn't been a pleasant trip, but this time it would be better. And she would get to see the Jedi Temple for the first time, something she had looked forward to since reading about it a few weeks ago."Yes. I mean...I've been to Coruscant once but I never saw the Temple..."Knowing that she had already told Serrin about her first visit to Coruscant, Terra opted not to spell out the details, even if that left Master Son'tir in the dark. Maybe Serrin would fill him in later, but she didn't really feel like sharing it again.
Terra had never met Knight Matango before, but it seemed he was about to be a Jedi Master. She wondered if she would ever make Jedi Master someday, though that was most certainly a long ways off. There was still quite a lot to do before she even reached Knighthood, but she couldn't help but think about what it would be like to be a Jedi Master. Someday she would make it...

The jovial anonymity towards the direct reason for their trip to Coruscant was uncharacteristic of the young twi'lek High Councilor. But Will gave Terra an inquisitive eye; as if the Padawan may be the cause of her master's anonymity, Will did not push the subject, Will did furrow his brow in a visible cue of confusion and took him only a moment to find composure; and then realized who 'Knight Matango' was. Will raised an eyebrow.
"Adi? Really, I figured that the Council was opposed to his ascension. Something about him being too impulsive. I think he has served this Order with . . .relative honor." Will's thoughts flashed to those Watchmen who have conscripted into the Order, and their tenure of service. . . . . . . anyway. "Not to mention his expert tutelage of jedi today." Though, when Will thought about it, didn't fit. "Though they were L'Ange Noire jedi. I believe the Apprentice he has now was assigned to him by the masters on Honoghr." Will had a hard time recalling any memory of any Order masters on Honoghr; it was, however irrelevant. He shook it off and regained composure once more."But there is undeniable valor on Yavin IV; but, as I spoke to him after the evacuation, he seems to have taken much of what transpired at Yavin . . .personally." Will allowed Serrin to take from that whatever she may. "As did I, Serrin."
Will took a breath and as glimpses of memories came into his head about the fateful battle on Yavin Station, the one that was doomed before it even began. The flamethrowers that the insurgent team used to scorched untold dozens of innocent personnel on Yavin Station; all honest workers trying to do nothing but make their own way in the galaxy. The red strobes of emergency still filled his eyes; and the pained screams still filled his ears. By the time Will made it out of the Station, he made it planet side, which all he was able to do was assist with the evacuation just as the Mandalorians were closing in. "I know you weren't there, Serrin; but the plan was dead before it was started. And I know what you are going to say; "serenity, serenity, serenity, peace, peace, knowledge, peace, peace;" sometimes it isn't that easy. And I know you understand that as well, with our own brush with insurgents." Referring to, of course, the full attack from the New Order of the Eye that left many of their own dead. "And we understand that after time, understanding and clarity, the Force heals. . ." it was then that Will had an epiphany. "I guess we need to just show that to Matango as well."
Will throws a sideways grin towards Serrin. "Thanks for your help, Mum; you always no what to say. I will depart immediately to Honoghr. I needed to check in with the Watch anyway. I only dropped by here to check on the 'stock' and take a breather from Dac and those pesky Quarren terrorists that always pop up." With a wink and a more than cocky two-fingered salute he departed the company of the Corellian jedi and went to find any random snubfighter with hyperspeed capabilities and just as soon as that fighter had safely gone through its preflight checklists, it departed into the Corellian sunset out to the Eastern side of the Outer Rim towards Honoghr. . .

Will's customarily rapid-fire and pause free delivery of his response to my answers to his questions, added together with his signature immediate departure, mean that my responses to his response are limited to the non-verbal variety: a mildly surprised arch of an eyebrow when he greets the news of Knight Matango's impending elevation to the rank of Master with mild skepticism, a pensive and sympathetic frown when he refers to the events on Yavin, a nod of agreement and reinforcement when Will states that time and Ashla will heal the physical and psychological wounds events on Yavin left on all those that were present, an amused curling up of the right corner of my lips when he thanks me while addressing me as 'Mum', and, finally, a bow of my head in lieu of a farewell bow as he makes his hasty exit.
Taking a deep breath that gives way to an amused laugh, I shake my head once Will has left, my lekku uncurling from around my hip to drape behind my back beside its twin, and then, with a nod to Hyatt, who resumes his post at the foot of the steps, begin walking into the academy as, referring to her comment about not having yet had the opportunity to visit the temple on Coruscant, I say to Terra, "Perhaps we will go to Coruscant a day or two prior to the meeting so that we can spend some time at the temple; it is . . . inspiring, to say the least, to walk its halls. You will, I imagine, also enjoy visiting the archives. Now then, I continue as we continue down the entrance hallway, deciding to allow Terra to decide what shape our training will take for the day in order to provide her the opportunity to address any areas of her apprenticeship she might believe are in need of address or reinforcement, what would you like to focus on today?"

Terra had remained silent as usual while Will and Serrin had conversed, and once he had left, she followed her teacher into the academy. At Serrin's suggestion that they head to Coruscant early to tour the Temple before the ceremony, she smiled and nodded, eager to see the Temple after having read quite a bit about it already."That would be nice." As she thought about the day's training, she remembered that she hadn't eaten breakfast yet, having gone straight to the garden for the morning meditation."Um...can I think about it over breakfast?"

A hooded figure approached the academy from the road on foot. His stride never faltered as he made his way to the gate, but anyone could tell that this was one of the last places he wanted to be at the moment.Four months... it has been four months since last I saw this place... He says to himself, almost as if trying to remind himself that it had even happened. As the figure got closer it became apparent that he was wearing a robe of one of the apprentices, though it was in such ill repair that no self respecting learner would dare wear it. Hesitation clouds his mind, and a very faint aura of darkness can be sensed by any with the talent.

Seeing as how this particular area of the universe is happening after Yavin I am enjoying a pleasant stroll around the grounds in my blue robes, whistling an almost merry tune when I come across something curious. On my way to join my fellow Corellian Jedi talking together I almost bump into what appears to be an apprentice, unfortunately the ragged younger man seems to be emanating a much different presence than most of the students at the academy. Nodding to Hyatt that I will take care of it I position myself right in front of the other man and silently stroke my greying beard for a moment before speaking. I don't believe I have seen you around here before, what is your name? Although it wasn't uncommon for me not to recognize the face of a student, there was just something off, almost dark, about this particular man.
