Jade had been thinking of a long hot shower as she felt a bit battered and more than a little tired as well as emotionally strained following the interview with Diamonte. She did not think he had made the right choice. However, everyone reacts to trauma and loss in their own fashion.
She thought she'd heard her name called in an accent that was not only familiar, but special to her. Although, it was one she had not expected to hear this soon. Jade turned and espied the owner of the second of a pair of carefully matched rings. Of course, she would not have admitted that her heart very nearly skipped a beat. If she'd been younger or more vain, she would have run in order that he not see her in the state she was currently in. However, as the case stood, she refrained from running into his arms and proceeded at a just barely more than sedate pace in his direction.
"Z'har!" as she leaned into him and wrapped her arms around the much taller Zabrak's torso for a close hug, before stepping back to take in his appearance. She smiled, sparks dancing in her eyes even though she was tired and a deep bruise tinged the lower side of her left cheek down towards her neck. Her outer robe was definitely sagging instead of occupying its normal meticulously draped position, in fact, it was nearly falling off her right shoulder and she was definitely a bit dusty. "It is good to see you," she said, in warm, relieved tones.

-Z'har Jade.
*A quick glance over her disheveled appearance led him to the conclusion that she had been sparring. He gently brushed a finger along the bruise. *
-Z'har You look like you have been having fun. I was just on my way to the archives here. One thing I will give Jedi is that they keep rather impressive records on nearly everything.

"Fun is one way to put it. I have recently met one who calls you 'buir'...it was highly entertaining." She informed him with an arch smile.
"The archives here are fairly typical, but not as impressive as the Great Archives on Coruscant, or the Library on Osarian. For most things, it suffices though." And that brought her to something else, something even more complicated. The complications she had run from back on Galantos and Osarian were minuscule compared to the challenges that loving a Mandalorian had now. Jade slipped her fingers into his hand and faced the problem directly. Both of them had decided this was worth it, but Z'har had not known what had taken place on Coruscant yet.
Emerald green eyes gazed at him, concern and love reflected in their depths. "Z'har, you thought being involved with a Jedi Master was challenging..." she hesitated, trying to think how to phrase the question that was in her mind. Converting thought to speech sometimes was a bit tricky. "That meeting was summoned to elect a new High Council for the Jedi Order." Raven-black eyelashes obscured her eyes for a moment as she blinked, "I'm a High Councilor now." Saying it somehow made it seem a bit more real. It was not a position that she had looked for, and the result had surprised her.

-Z'har Hmmm, Probably not Marcos or you would have more than just that bruise. Aya is unlikely for other reasons. I take it that you have met Marsune?
*He paused to think about her last statement. That would, in fact, make things rather interesting. It would not, from his point of view, change anything though.*
-Z'har My jedi politics may be a little rusty, but unless I'm mistaken, that puts you roughly on par with one of the Mandalorian Clan Lords or a Republic Senator does it not? Unless of course they just decided to go all out & make you the Grand Master. Either way, congratulations are in order. Unfortunately I didn't bring any of my private stock with me on this little expedition, so something publicly available will have to do.

"Oh? What is this Marcos like that you have such a little opinion of my abilities?" she challenged him lightly, "He attempted more than that upon first meeting, however, he forgot to consider the difference in our heights before trying a kiss in Keldabe fashion." Jade chuckled at the recollection. "I am afraid I punched him rather hard in the stomach. You didn't tell me, you had a Gungan 'child'?" she inquired.
Then, more seriously, glad that he could not in his current form sense the extent of her relief at his answer, she replied thoughtfully, "I've never considered it in comparison to other authority structures, but I suppose you are roughly correct. Within the Order itself, the status of High Councilor is higher than Republic Senators, although we do serve the Republic itself. Grandmaster would be a most unwelcome turn of events..."
"It may however have a silver lining. It is less dangerous for you on Coruscant, and likely will be easier to see you." She looked up at him fondly. "I have my own resources here...perhaps those congratulations are due later this evening, when we are alone?" She knew he wouldn't miss the underlying invitation, and she tightened her grip on his hand for a second with a sidelong look up at him from under long dark eyelashes, revealing a sudden flash of emerald green fire.

*The pair slowly wound their way through the twisting paths of the Gardens. Despite the prominence of the planet & his wide travels, some of the samples on display were not ones that Z'har had seen before, or at least was not familiar with.*
-Z'har It is not that I doubt your abilities. However, Marcos is someone that even I would hesitate to get into a physical fight with. As for the floppy eared squirt, he didn't show up until after we last parted ways. Beyond that, we were too busy ... catching up with each other to bring up everything that has happened since then.
*The man stopped in front of a large flowering shrub of some type & took a moment to carefully observe the purple & blue flowers.*
-Z'har I am uncertain if I would feel welcome on Coruscant. The last time I saw it was a very long time ago, & not under the best circumstances. A private party would certainly be in order for an event of such import. Though, that does bring up the question of if I will need to secure my own lodgings. I have not been on world long enough yet to go about that.

A smile twitched at the corner of Jade's lips. Indeed, time on Mondder had seemed to simultaneously stop and speed up. "We still have a lot of catching up to do yet, after all, we went separate ways for many years, and I am interested in you and your life." She noticed his interest in the local flora, and decided that eventually he'd have to visit the Lastdark while here on Corellia. She would enjoy taking him there, and it was famous in its own right.
She stopped next to him, concerned and looked up at him a bit curiously. "What happened?" She had thought that it would at least be as safe for him as Corellia, and possibly even more so. But there was something she didn't know of it seemed.
Jade slipped an arm around his waist. "Stay with me. It will make private celebrations more convenient, unless the quarters of a Jedi Master are beneath you," she teased, "in which case there are guest rooms if you prefer?" Her suite was fairly spartan, and definitely downright plain next to the luxury of his residence in Mondder.

-Z'har A bit of ancient history to most. My last visit to the planet was well before we met & ended with a rather large man hunt after me. Apparently some rich noble woman's husband was rather distraught that I had made off with a box of her jewelry, that or it was the fact that he stumbled in while I was easing the loneliness she felt at her husband's absence. One of the two. Anyway, I'm certain that no matter how bare or ... decorated your quarters may be, the will be comfortable enough for my tastes.

"Easing the----" Jade quickly turned around so he couldn't see her expression as she attempted not to laugh outright in his face. She'd felt a momentary flicker of an emotion she couldn't identify at the time, but then she was distracted by a mental image of the unflappable Z'har being discovered in flagrante delicto with a posh aristocrat female and having to run for it. That was not the sort of thing that one's Jedi training normally covered.

-Z'har Yes, that was a very long time ago. But then again, some of those families are rather impressive at the grudges they can hold. Anyway, the only reason I had palmed the jewelery box was that my ship need a refuel & that seemed a rather simple way to get it. To be honest though, I didn't expect the wife to be home either. A little quick thinking, a little flattery & some nice sleight of hand & she didn't even notice the box in my pocket until it fell out in the rush afterward. Luckily for me, I managed to grab it before it hit the floor.

"I can imagine," and she could. It was hard to keep a straight face when looking at him right now, but she could most definitely picture the situation. And it was another aspect of Z'har's personality. She hadn't thought him the type to use physicality as a distraction technique.
Grudges. Some cultures had a history of multi-generational feuds between families arising from similar grievances. Jade's break with her family had been different, but she understood only too well how deep a true grievance ran in familial politics.
Silence fell between the two of them as they skirted the lake, heading slowly back towards the Academy proper. The diminutive female was thinking, and she didn't have anything to say at the moment.

-Z'har So glad I could amuse you.
*A slight grin mirrored his words. The walk around the body of water was leisurely, occasionally interrupted by moments spent examining one plant or another. There was mainly silence, but it was a comfortable, relaxed silence.*

Jade only spent a token interest on the plants within the garden, though when they passed behind a large tree she took a moment to examine other things that generally don't grow in a garden.
"If you had any idea just how much..." She found him very amusing indeed. She suspected there was far more to his life than he had ever told her, and she would be interested in knowing someday.

-Z'har I suppose that it is my incredible good fortune to a have a great wealth of interesting stories from my past them.
*& a fortune of stories he did have. Earlier in life he had been tempted to settle down as an author & sell books on his adventures. Fortunately for his current situation, he had instead joined up with a somewhat minor Empire on the Outer Rim. One that had eventually been absorbed by the growing Mandalorian Empire. Which had led to an invitation to a certain Ball.*

Kulaan was still slightly surprised that Johun had dismissed them to wander on their own. Kulaan had followed Von out of the hangar but had been unsure of where she wanted to go. She remained outside the hangar until she noticed Von vanish into the base, off to wherever might suit him. She hesitated another moment but decided that surely their would only be so much trouble he could cause and their certainly seemed to be enough people here to be able to handle him, she hoped. Finally having decided to not follow Von she turned instead and found her way into the meditation gardens. She smiled not really knowing exactly what she would find here, but was quite glad to see several trees and quite a bit of open area. There were a few tranquil fountains creating a slight bit of background noise she walked around them not avoiding them completely but at least far enough away to not get wet.
Looking around she spotted a few people here and there but all those that she could see were occupied, either meditating or looking through a book, paying no mind to anyone else. Glancing up she saw a likely looking tree and with a quick glance around she jumped up onto its lowest branches and quietly worked her way up finally reaching the branch she had spotted. It provided a clear view of most of the garden and some more structure of the base. Outside the base provided a much clearer vista then was available on Felucia... which when you looked out all you saw were more trees. Finally settling down on a spot she relaxed, one leg dangling off the branch the other stretched out across it her tail looped down but came back up to rest just above her knee. Leaning back against the trunk of the tree she sighed thinking about what had happened in the last few days.

Von remembered how Johun reached out in the force with him and how it felt. So smiling he attempted the same thing with Kulaan. He could feel her nearby but didnt feel like looking for her.
Kulaan, I know your out and about but would you be willing to look over a sparring match I met someone who has a hint of dark side on them and I want to see if they are still tapped into it. I want to know if you can over look it and bring it to a stop if I get a little out of hand.

Still gazing off into the distance her ruminations were interrupted by the very person she was thinking of. The unexpected coincidence coupled with the shock of hearing Von in her head, a very creepy notion to her indeed, startled her enough that she shook slightly. It was enough however to dislodge her from her branch and she scrambled with much rustling to maintain her precarious hold while attempting to hear what Von was saying.
Von! She shouted his name out loud quite annoyed with him right now. Couldn't he keep his urges in check for just a couple hours while Johun was meeting with the council. Adding to her annoyance was the fact that she was still unable to communicate so well through the force and was thus unable to reply immediately.
Regretting her annoyance she glanced around hoping she hadn't disturbed anyone's meditations but the area around her seemed clear enough. Turning her attention to the tree under her she quickly spotted her path down. Grabbing her pack which had been resting on the next branch she swung with one hand down to a lower branch and quickly jumped off that on to the ground landing softly. Slinging her pack over her shoulder she checked her lightsaber was set properly and started to march off towards the base trying to calm herself and she sought out Von. Would he proceed right to the training halls without hearing a response? With a sigh she entered the base thinking that it would be the best bet to try to head him off there anyway. Hopefully she could find it soon.

Johun entered the Meditation Garden. He sat cross-legged in the middle of the garden. He reached out through the Force, feeling for his new Padawans and summoning them...

Reentering the gardens she felt Johun waiting in a slightly different area than she had been in not too long ago. Spotting him she went over and sat down as he had keeping the sun to her back. She had been having an interesting day so far and was beginning to wonder what else was going to be in store. She didn't expect Von to be much longer but it was Von and she wouldn't be able to say with complete certainty what to expect from Von. Nodding slightly to Johun she hadn't said anything, but it would be clear she had a lot on her mind.
