After his explanation, the girls looked to one another once more as if they were speaking among themselves, a fact that was very much true. The look from Raine was still obvious in her dislike for the idea.
I know it's irritating, Raine. But we did come here, so it's only right they test us to see what we are capable of and for them to teach us what it means to be one of them. We can't expect to just come here and do things our own way. If that was the case, then we should have just stayed out wandering the galaxy or set up our own home somewhere
Kindra and Yuri gave a nod, agreeing with Bekka while Raine simply sighed in defeat. She might not have liked it, but Bekka had a point. She would just have to suck it up and just go with it.
"Alright, we will finish unpacking and meet you there. Zion gave a bow to the four women as Kindra gave a response that they would go along with itVery well, I shall meet you down in the training arena out in the gardens... With that, Zion headed out of the Hangar Bay to leave the ladies of KYBR to unload their personal effects and find their rooms. Zion meanwhile headed through the Temple and out into the Gardens. While they were nothing too impressive just yet, but if Ashara was to be believe that would be changing soon.
Zion came to one of the stone archways and made his way down the stairs to the arena floor below. Two sides of the Arena were slanted banks of seating, while the third and fourth were open to the lake that the Temple sat upon the edge of. Zion came to a stop as he strolled across the arena floor and reached the opposite side. Gazing out across the lake as he waited

The pace was a bit slow as the girls unloaded the necessities from their ship. Following the map that had been given to them, they made their way towards the chambers they had been designated to take. The minutes passed once they arrived, slowly working their way through their things as everything was put away.
Dragging out the waot for the intended meeting as long as possible, KBYR made their way towards the garden and stood before Zion when found him, ready to get things moving forward.

Since dismissing Kalene for the evening, Ashara had been meditating and peering into the Force, sensing many things. But soon a feeling of unease roused her from her trance. Something had happened, something that was causing more than one being in the temple a great amount of stress. Standing, the hoofed woman stood and began to follow the trail laid out by the Force. She was swift, as the more she dwelt upon the feeling, one of those in distress was her padawan. Her hooves struck the stone and sent echos down the hallways, but as she approached the location of the disturbance she had felt, she slowed down, not wishing to perhaps cause further panic or harm by her sudden presence. At the corner of the hall, she stopped and looked down it as subtly as she could. It was empty? But she was sure, this was the part of the Temple that had produced the disturbance. She turned to leave and investigate another hall, but heard a door hiss open. Turning back, Matthew was making his way out of his room. Perhaps he knew something. He did seem distracted.=Ashara=Mr. Di’Nova! A word if you would please. The Forcespawn called after him from her end of the hallway, now in full view. Have you seen my padawan? A young human woman, a little younger than you. Of course. Matthew couldn’t get three feet out of his room before he heard a familiar voice strike his ears with a sense of urgency. The funniest part of it, though, was that the boy had been in enough sorts of colorful trouble in his past. Things he would hate for any of the Knights to find out about him. Despite all those experiences, though, nothing sent more adrenaline through his veins, his heartbeat racing, than Ashara’s voice calling out to him and echoing off the walls of the empty corridor.Aww, kriff…It’s not like he could ignore her, though. With the galaxy’s best poker face -- or at least the best one that he could muster, Matthew offered boyishly charming smile in Ashara’s direction as he closed the gap. He hoped that he was controlling the shakiness in his knees for her not to notice.Ashara... Hi... he fumbles. He would have immediately transitioned into some sort of smooth correction that she should call him Matt, but her revelation silenced him faster than a blaster bullet through his brain. O-Oh, you have a padawan, huh? Of course Kalene had to be Ashara’s padawan. He could have smacked a palm to his face if Ashara wasn’t standing literally right there. Is she, uh… about yea high, flowing dark locks, a stunning honeyed gaze, and perhaps the most innocent creature to have graced the galaxy? he asks, painting a rather particular and sensualized portrait of Kalene. He then chuckles as he goes on to say the unthinkable after a description like that with, I can’t say that I have. Matthew exhales a nervous sigh, knowing right out the gate that Ashara wouldn’t let him get away that easy. He leans a shoulder up against the wall and looks up at Ashara with a sense of dismay.Alright, no, I’ve seen your padawan, he mutters, shoving his hands in his pockets. I asked her to show me around the Temple, and… well, as you can see, that… wasn’t able to be arranged. She needed to, uh… pass out…? Probably a little overwhelmed by her, uh, training? Training. Sure. He’d go with that. If there was one fault that Matthew had, it was his inability to lie to a pretty face. The Force knew how many times he got into trouble in the past by not keeping his mouth shut when he needed to. With a little improv wordplay, he did his absolute best not to allude to the truth that happened moments before.

It didn't take a Force Sensitive to sense something was off about Matthew. He seemed like he was in a state of, what? Shock? Fear? All the same, Ashara's golden eyes burrowed into his, whenever he looked her way, otherwise she stared him down. The feeling of unease was unmistakable. The woman took a few steps closer as he began to describe Kalene. Their was a flash of anger in her eyes as he said he hadn't seen her. Any other time it may have gotten a smile out of her, but not this time, she could feel her own concern for Kalene rising. She hadn't thought she pushed her that hard today? But perhaps it was any number of things, but Ashara was determined to find out, and wouldn't let this boy stop or distract her. The Force Spawn stopped, just a meter from where Matthew leaned against the wall.
=Ashara= My padawan is a very special young woman. And just so you know, if I found out she was in any sort of trouble or... being taken advantage of, I would tear this Temple apart at its foundation to protect her. She didn't know exactly what was going on, but making some quick judgement as to Matthew's perceived nature and character, she just wanted to leave him with that warning. Now, if she went to take a rest, I will go and check on her in her room. Thank you, Mr. Di'Nova.

It wasn't but a few minutes after Matthew had left that suddenly Kalene began to stir. She grunted a bit as her eyes opened and she pished herself up. "That was strange."
She thought back recalling her dream. Movibg down the halls, running into a new person and handsome one at that. She remebered feeling so embarrassed. It wasn't until she began looking around that she began to notice the area she was in wasn't her room. "This..this isn't my room. Where am..."
Suddenly, Kalene's face turned red again as it clicked that her dream had been reality and that she was more than likely in his room, lying on his bed....
Jumping up in a panic at the thought she began to scramble, working her way towards the door.

It was as if those eyes were like suns of their own. It felt as though they radiated a heat which made the corridor very, very uncomfortable. At least for him. It didn’t matter that he did everything in his power not to look at her. Only a fool would have been able to pretend that her fierce concern wasn’t actually there, and Matthew was far from a fool. Still, he tried to keep his cool… all up until Ashara was about to make her leave for Kalene’s bedroom.Alright alright alright, Matthew breaks.Hesitantly, he takes a step away from Ashara to put more space between him and her. Usually, it would have been the other way around, and he would have been further closing in the gap. The sudden flash of those exotic yet oh so incredibly pointy horns on her head, though, made for some not so pleasant imagery in his head as to some of the many, many things he was sure she was capable of doing to him to back up that warning. Either way, he knew that if he let Ashara not-find Kalene in her room, there was more of a likelihood she’d do far than get him kicked out of the Temple than if he just tried to explain the situation. Zion was more of a sucker than he was, too, which only spelled further disaster. No matter how panicked, his only option to retain a sliver of hope that all would resolve in some fashion of hilarity was to fess up that, accidentally, he somehow managed to cause her padawan to faint.Ashara, I swear on my mother’s life that I didn’t mean to do it… I was just talking to her… and then she just… I don’t know what in Chaos happened… I swear I had no idea how fragile she was… Matthew chuckles nervously as that once sly smile became an uneasy one. He was sure he’d awaken that demon in her now, although this wasn’t exactly what he had in mind when he had joked with Zion earlier. He could only hope he could talk her down, once his head stopped spinning and he could collect his thoughts to provide a better, less condemning explanation than the one he just gave her.

A few busy and excited chirps sound from the astromech. Kalene may have tried to get up and work her way towards the door, but the R2 unit rolls himself out in front of her just as she stands to her feet.Quickly, Zeo runs a quick diagnostic over the girl, a visible green light rolling over her from the top of her head to her feet. The light then vanishes, and he resounds more excited chattering as if to catch her attention or even to attempt relaying some kind of message.

Her gaze then quickly shifted forward as it rolled in front of her, causing her to stop suddenly and stumble backward where she tripped over herself to the ground.
Pushing herself back towards the bed, she was panicked for the moment mostly due to the surprise Zeo gave her. After a few seconds, she was able to grab hold of her breath and regulate it. Pushing herself forward onto her knees, uncertainty found her face as she looked at the droid. "Um..beep, beep, boop, beep, boop, boop, beep......Um..sorry, I..I don't speak droid." She scratched her head at her failed attempt to communicate with Zeo, knowing that no matter what the droid said, she'd never understand and probably appear stupid.

"Master Morviael, there is nothing to concern yourself about. Our demeanor as a group can be off-putting at times, to be sure, but only because of the things we've typically dealt with just wandering the galaxy. But make no mistake that when we decided to come here, we knew that in order to be welcomed, we'd be required to uphold the ways of whatever order we joined. We have, indeed, come from different backgrounds and have seen much of what you felt. That is why we decided to come here and see what it meant to be a Knight of Karabor. Show us what it means, and we will listen. If it is a path we wish to take, you can count on us to uphold these ways. If we feel it doesn't fit with us, we will depart on good terms."

Show us what it means, and we will listen. If it is a path we wish to take, you can count on us to uphold these ways. If we feel it doesn't fit with us, we will depart on good terms." Zion watched as Bekka stepped forward from the group to speak on all of their behalf's. Reaffirming all their commitment to learning about the Knights and their desire to try fit in, should the Order fit with their agenda. He felt a wave of relief pass through him, as his smile returned once moreI would ask forgiveness for an old man's wariness... I have waged battle for far too many years, and will, on occasion, underestimate the strength and will of youth... He gave a short bow then, before lifting his gaze as the moon started to appear in the east, while the sun continued to set in the westGiven the time, I will keep this explanation as straight forward as possible: You are each familiar with the Force, the Light and the Dark... Such aspects of the Force exist. But there is a spectrum of life in between them, in which we all exist. Seeking to maintain a balance between Light and Dark. But where others believe that one side must be utter destroyed for balance to be maintained, they could not be further from the truth... Light and Darkness must exist in equal strength, for balance to be achieved. You cannot have one, without the other. Life cannot exist if either side is overwhelmed. That is what we seek to achieve.. A balance between the light and the dark... Zion motioned from the setting sun to the rising moon then. The two celestial bodies sitting in perfect harmony across from one another in the sky. He then motioned to Kindra, Yuri, Bekka and RaineYour group is a perfect example of this. Light and Dark, The shades in between... That is what we fight to protect. Many of us stride within the light, while others stride within the dark, working toward the same goal. Let yourself fall too far into the light, and you can commit atrocities just as easily as someone that slips too far into the dark. The ancient Jedaii Order saw the truth of this. And while I would not claim we are by any means a true return, the philosophy remains the same... He paused a moment, letting them absorb the information. Perhaps they had heard it before, or such was the first time they were hearing it. Once he gave them a moment, he continued onTo that end, we will move against any side that has set the scales too far to one side or the other. And right now, the First Order and the Sith seek to cloak the galaxy in darkness. It is they, who we fight against. But we do so on our terms... We do not have a code like the Jedi or Sith, instead, we follow three basic principles: Honesty, Valour and Loyalty... Be honest to yourself and others, for honesty is the fastest way to prevent a mistake from turning into a failure. By being honest, we can fight together and overcome whatever challenge we face... Stand strong in the face of danger, no matter the foe. For the cost of failure is all life... If you stand, we will stand together. We pledge ourselves to balance and life itself. We protect those that cannot protect themselves. If you commit to a task, see that task through to the end... Zion stopped for a moment, certain he had perhaps talked for a little longer than he had intended. His gaze shifted between the four women then to make sure each of them had been following along. Letting them take the moment to ask him any questions or make any comments they might have

The girls listened intently, any look of agitation, especially the type seen upon the face of Kindra and Raine faded. They knew the importance of the message being expressed and wasn't about to make light of it. And he was right. They knew of the differing views of the Force, each of them coming from different walks. It was through one that the others came to truly understand. They had crafted a balance within themselves as a group that was held together by said trust and honesty. They all held the others in check so that one didn't become driven by their power or lost in any particular way.
As he finished speaking of the principle of honesty, the girls said nothing, waiting for him to continue. There were no questions, nothing to be said or interjected. He spoke with clarity on the matter and didn't over complicated it, nor dumb it down. It was stated in a way that helped best convey the message spoken.

Ashara froze as she heard the sound of Matthew's voice. She turned slowly. First her head, then her whole body. A shift came with it in the Force as the golden eyes fell on the boy yet again. The light that once filled this hallway seemed to stifle and darkness encroached in. The more Matthew stuttered the closer Ashara drew to him. He was attempting to confess to doing something to her padawan, the person who meant so much to her. And then he got to his last statement about how "fragile" she was. Her eyes flashed and her hands shot out and the Force wrapped around the younger force user and would hold him there, allowing her to close the distance. With the Force, she then lifted him off his feet to hover right at eye level with her, only an inch apart. And through gritted teeth, that now that he was closer, Matthew could tell were more than a little sharp.=Ashara=What. Have. You. Done. With. Kalene! If Matthew wanted to run, the constricting grasp of the Force around his body would have made it very difficult to do so. Even if he could manage to shatter her hold on him with his own Force abilities, it would take a clear mind for him to do so -- something he didn’t quite have at this exact moment in time. When he's lifted into the air, Matthew whimpers, nearly begging:Ashara, I swe- But not like begging would do him any good. Still, he had a chance to salvage this, right? Then again, those gritted, sharp teeth of hers weren’t exactly reassuring. It was odd, though, that he could even fathom how adorable she still looked as angry as she was...Taking in as deep a breath as he could manage to settle his erratic thoughts, Matthew manages to get something of a rational answer out to Ashara’s exclaimed question that was clearly more of a demand for an answer than a request. She’s safe. I swear. She’s just in my bed. Yeah, rational answer. Not quite. He didn’t realize how damning of an answer that was, too. At least, not until the words came out. He was sure Ashara would take that the worst way possible, so he backtracks before she has a moment to crush him. Or bite his head off -- either figuratively or literally. We were talking. She fainted, and I, uh... I panicked. I didn’t know what else to do…? He cringes as he awaits the worst reaction possible from Ashara. This was going much more horribly than he could have ever predicted. He had been through a whole lot in his short life. Usually, talking his way out of fiascos was his forte. From actually managing to make a girl faint into his arms, though, to this rather risky encounter about it with a woman unlike anyone he had ever met -- Matthew was definitely far, far, far out of his element.
Zeo's beeping caught Kalene's ears, causing her steps to slow suddenly as she began to look around. Her sudden awakening and realization of where she was kept her from truly taking in her surroundings. This kept her from noticing the droid and as she looked away in her attempt to find the noise. Zeo chatters excitedly with some repetitive beeps to Kalene’s attempted communication with him. It was a shame that the girl couldn’t understand him, but the droid seemed to appreciate her attempts. Although his master -- friend? His programming confused whatever the boy was to him at times -- had simply asked that he watch out for her until she was awake, now that she was, Zeo had completed his duty and was free to do as he pleased. It wasn’t against his programming to interact with the world around him, and this girl seemed friendlier than any other hooligan the boy had previous intermingled with. If his programming could compute with it, she seemed friendlier than even the boy himself. However, there was a language barrier. A trick that the boy had picked up over the years of having Zeo. The girl didn’t have a shot at learning it in a few minutes, and the boy had decided against a vocal synthesizer ever since he picked up on the binary language. Zeo’s circuitry, however, managed to find a solution to the problem in exactly 0.003 seconds. He rolled around the girl, before nudging her onward with his front, third wheel. Hopefully, she would get the hint and look in line to where he was trying to nudge her towards, to find Matthew’s belongings piled in the corner.Among those things, an old yet handy datapad.

It was something she wasn't expecting, the droid to close in on her as it did. Without warning, Zeo had rolled around her and began pushing her, causing her to suddenly become a bit frantic. "Hey, wait! What are...What Are You Doing?! Wait! Stop!" Ultimantely, she had little choice but to give in to whatever the little droid demanded of her for it was either move or get shoved towards the ground.
After a few nudges, she was directed to the corner. Just what did this machination have planned for her? She ended up tripping a bit on herself as they reached the corner, causing her to fall forward and into Matthew's things. There came a large thud as some of the stuff fell around her. It was when she turned that the datapad fell out of its spot and into her lap. She looked at Zeo, still frantic before noticing it was now making motions with some of its tools towards the datapad. She looked back and forth between the droid and the pad before it finally clicked.
Calming down she held it out to Zeo. "Were you wanting this?"
"Hey, wait! What are...What Are You Doing?! Wait! Stop!" The words cut throw the walls and door, clear enough for the pair to hear. Soon after came a large thud of someone falling into something hard. Whatever was happening, it was clear something hectic was going down within Matthew's chambers.

Ashara nearly relented and began to lax her grip on Matthew. A reasonable explanation and she had proven her point. That is, until Kalene's frantic words broke through the wall. The Force once more rushed through her and into her grip on Matthew. No longer simply gently holding him aloft. She was squeezing him. She closed her eyes and tried to peer through the door, but her anger and fear were clouding her vision.
=Ashara= What is going on in there!?
She swung Matthew around so he could open the door with one hand, but she was still not letting him go.

She swung Matthew around so he could open the door with one hand, but she was still not letting him go. As if Matthew wasn’t nervous enough, Kalene’s muffled words through the wall were enough to make Matthew break out in a cold sweat. Thank the Whills that she was safe and awake, which could have been beneficial in proving his innocence, except… well, whatever that damned droid was up to, it wasn’t exactly helping his case at all.Damn it, Zeo… Ashara’s Force hold on Matthew might as well been a rancor’s. Matthew utters out a pathetic whimper, his words squeaked in Ashara’s constricting hold. His hand even twitches as though attempting to reach out towards the lightspawn pleadingly, but her grasp was too strong to really move. Without another option, if he valued his life, the boy opens his door, which resounds with a whoosh, to allow Ashara access. Wanting to beat her inside to clear up any other brushes with misunderstandings and bad luck, Matthew physically struggled against Ashara’s grasp with all his might, yet to no avail. It simply reinforced that one constant he was met with all his inconsistent life:Never mess with a woman on a mission.

The R2 unit hobbled excitedly back and forth and whistled encouragingly as Kalene picked up the datapad. Words or not, eventually the girl would compute what it was he was trying to show her. There were only so many solutions she could have come up with anyway. The only terrible thing -- time was short. Eventually, the boy would return to his room, and at that point, Zeo could calculate based on his prior heart rhythm and vocal patterns that he was nervous about this girl and would probably seek a solution of eliminating her from his space.Communicating through an internal link between the droid and the datapad, the handheld unit lit up in Kalene’s hands. It was all for nothing, though, as the hiss of the door shook the otherwise silence of the room, and light poured in from the corridor into the dimly lit bedroom.

Ashara's golden eyes settled on Kalene and a wave of relief rushed over her. Immediately she relinquished her hold on poor Matthew and ran into the room and embraced her padawan. As she held the young woman, she channeled some of her own energy into the girl, just in case she was still feeling weak. After a moment she let go of the girl and knelt down to look her in the eyes.
=Ashara= Kalene, are you okay? I was worried for you.
For the moment she seemed to compleatly ignore the droid and the boy, focusing fully on her young charge.

Kalene's attention was quickly distracted from the activated datapad as the door suddenly opened. In a bit of a panic, she dropped it and scambled to her feet, not knowing who it was. She could only assume it was Matthew. Who else could it be and where else could she have ended up.
She was even more surprised and thrown off when it was Ashara that bust through the door, the random hug and flow of energy suggesting the Forcespawn's state. As the question came, the girl was uncertain of how to really answer. "Oh, um, hi, master. I'm fine. Was just heading back to my chambers for the night, when I ran into Matthew."
It was a moment later that she noticed him in the doorway, unaware of what had just transpired. "Oh, um, hi, Matthew. I, um, sorry about, um, this." She motioned to the pile that had been knocked over. "I..I didn't mean to! I'll get it cleaned up!"

Matthew exhales a sigh of relief as Ashara’s grasp on him breaks free. The boy slumps against the wall as her figure rushes into his room to take hold of her young padawan. With his hands on his knees to keep himself propped, he takes another beat to exhale, his gaze lifting to the ceiling as if to ask the Almighty Ones why they dared to make fun of him in such a cruel fashion. With another sigh, though, Matthew pushes himself back up and, as calmly and cooly as he can manage, takes charge in joining the party so-to-speak happening in his bedroom -- a point he notes to use against that Zion Morviael one of these days.
Hey there, Kalene, Matthew nearly responds, seemingly exhausted and out of breath.
Placing a nervous hand on the back of his neck, he forces a welcoming smile and banishes all of his earlier panic from his face, to no avail. His smile was replaced with a quizzical look soon enough, though, as Kalene's explanation leads to him to find all of his stuff scattered about. Ashara’s outburst already took its toll on the poor boy. Panic was now easy enough to race through. It would show well enough on his face as he rushes through the doorway and waves a hand over his scattered belongings. Using the Force in a display that appears as easy and natural to him as breathing, the boy brings each piece to float simultaneously into the air to find their places among the far corner, before they would settle back into the place in the time it took to exhale.
No worries…! he laughs, the last thing to find him being the datapad, which instead found a home within his left hand. Easy enough taken care of.
Zeo whirls sadly before turning and rolling back to the other corner, away from the rest of the group. Before anything could be said about the droid, though, Matthew breaks back in with a nervous persistence.
So… as you can see, Miss Varik here is safe and sound, so… if you ladies don’t mind… Could we, um, move this happy little reunion to the other side of my chamber’s door...? I don’t mean to be rude, he corrects hastily, I just… still… wanted to explore the Temple tonight. That is, the flash of his brilliant blue eyes turns to Ashara, if I’m still… welcome to do so after this… minor fiasco…
Matthew laughs as nervous as ever as he braces himself for whatever weighty silence may come at the hand of his judge, jury, and executioner. He might be young, but he wasn’t stupid enough to believe that he was out of the woods just yet. Out of all the nonsensical occurrences he had been through in his short lifetime, this one definitely would be a story he would carry for the rest of his lifetime.

It was clear from their expressions that they had been following along and listening to his message. With the daylight rapidly vanishing below the horizon, Zion knew time was running shortPlease, take a knee ladies... He drew his saber hilt then, the silver blade activating with the trademark snap hiss of a lightsaber. He took a step forward and, assuming the four women had taken a knee as requested, started passing his blade over their shouldersI induct you as a Knight of the Order of the Temple of Karabor. To serve with Honesty, Valour and Loyalty. When you arrived, you were sisters only to one another... Now you are sisters to all that call Karabor home... Rise Sister Kindra, Sister Bekka, Sister Yuri, and Sister Raine... He deactivated the blade and clipped the hilt back into its place upon his beltWe stand as family now... Now, I think I have taken up enough of your time for one evening... Go relax, train, and enjoy yourselves... Tomorrow you can choose to train with the Paladins, the Crusaders, or the Mystics. Perhaps they may have a thing or two to show you... or perhaps you will show them something... For now, have a good night...
