Smiling now. Ashara was pleased at how easily Kalene seemed to be grasping Force Philosophy.=Ashara=Yes, exactly. We must follow our hearts, to do what is best for the universe as a whole. Right now the Galaxy is still recovering from the devastating war between the First Order and Galactic Alliance. So we must aide it how we can, by being healers, guardians, or just a stable presence in the lives of the people. As far as your abilities with plant life goes, their are many things. You can greatly increase the speed at which things grow and manipulate how. Allowing you to cause vines or roots to rise up and entangle those who seek to do you harm. And we have observed how you can make growing things flourish, and exceed their normal limits. Now imagine helping a peoples through a drought. You could make their harvests perhaps yield three fold what they normally get! Once you are finished eating, I will take you to the archives, where we may learn more about your abilities. Kalene hung onto each word that Ashara spoke, doing her best to grasp everything the first time through. Even with her excitement flowing through her again, there was that twinge of nervousness that resurfaced upon the mention of the war and their part to play in aiding those that had been caught up in it. It was quite the responsibility to do such work. Was it too much for her? Did it truly set upon her great expectations that needed to be fulfilled? She'd be lying if she told herself otherwise. But unlike before, she kept her calm and composure. She had to remember one thing: she was young and just starting out. The only thing expected of her at the moment would be to learn and grow. No one who went to school was expected to do any tasks they might be learning, only to learn them and be prepared for when they had taken in all there was to know about their planned future.
Then came the talk of what she could do with her plants regarding the Force. Help them grow brighter and faster when all other situations would keep from natural growth or even use them against her enemies. One one side, she hoped she'd never have to use plants in such a way. Then again, she was curious as to what else she could do with them outside of just making vines grow to ensnare enemies. As she learned more about the abilities, she'd have to experiment and see.
Finishing off her food, she looked to the woman with a smile. There was so much to see: the rest of the temple, the archives to learn more of her abilities, and, of course, the area Ashara wished the girl to start work in creating a vibrant field of flowers. "I'm ready whenever you are."

Zion remained impassive as the boy gave his word that a month would be enough and that he would not do anything to defile the temple, on his honor. As the boy bowed, he took note of the name he used to introduce himself. Matthew Di'Nova. Zion continued to remain silent as Matthew continued his over exaggerated introduction. A small smirk forming for the first time since this meeting started. One that remained firmly there as the by inquired as to what Ashara's name was using a turn of phrase which he himself would have once used. He had to hold the greatest poker face in the galaxy then, as Ashara latched onto the choice of word and acted offended. The grin growing on his face when she at last burst out giggling, no longer able to hold herself together.
He shook his head as he smiled. No matter how stern or unimpressed he had been before, there was just something infectious about Ashara. Her ability to put him into a good mood was quite unusual. Though he had experienced it a couple times before, this was somewhat different. Something he suspected that had to do with her unique history. He let out a sigh and settled his gaze on Ashara That much... I can confirm... He turned his attention back to Matthew then. Certain the boy must have almost had a small heart attack Once you are done almost dying, I can show you around the Temple and we can sort out a room for you to stay in...

Any eye brow raised as Matthew Di'Nova turned. Ashara knew what the boy meant with his turn of phrase, but it would be no less fun to make him sweat just a little bit more. Feigning insult, Ashara rest a hand on her chest as if wounded. Then, in the most offended voice she could muster:=Ashara=Is that all you see when you look at me? A creature? A monster? Simply because I am something you have never seen before you think- you think- She couldn't finish the sentence as she started giggling at the no doubt panicked face of Matthew. After a moment to let that sink in she said replied. My name is Ashara. And it will take more than flattery and flowery words to win me over. Certain the boy must have almost had a small heart attackOnce you are done almost dying, I can show you around the Temple and we can sort out a room for you to stay in... Aww, kriff. That was usually a phrase that got its equal share of eye rolls and blushes alike, but Ashara’s reaction was a first. Just as expected by the two, his initial reaction stemmed from a momentary panic that sent his stomach dropping like he swallowed a black hole, and his heart leaped into his throat. Of course, she was different; she was unlike anyone Matthew had ever met. Damn it, damn it, damn it. He should have been more careful about his word choice. A thought Zeo seemed to share with a few amused clicks in binary. If there was one thing that Zion and Matthew immediately shared, though, it was a poker face that could beat out some of the largest underground crime lords trying to pull one over on their victims. However, what Matthew couldn’t hide was the visible tension, the single step back, and the flicker of worry in his eyes, something that dissipated just as quickly as Ashara’s change in demeanor. With her giggle, all of that panic and tension melted away.Well, aren’t you something else, Matthew sighs to himself as he glances a once over Ashara, and with that, his disrupted smirk widens to an impressed grin. Don’t you worry, sweetheart. If your standards were that low where that's all it took, I’d make it my life’s mission to show you that you were one in a million and deserved better anyway. And with that, Matthew shrugs a shoulder to turn his attention calmly and smoothly from Ashara to Zion. To have a room arranged was just what the doctor prescribed, especially after the latest fiasco in getting the clearance codes to land here, and a tour of the Temple was high on the list of ‘things Matthew needed to do’. It was almost comical in its own way, the way that the boy seemed to shift all too fluidly between flirting with the woman to being overtly respectful towards the man. With a firm nod of his head towards Zion, Matthew shoves his hands back in his pockets and addresses him, I’d appreciate that, sir. Getting lost in here my first day wouldn’t do too much for my case with proving my worth to you now, would it? ‘I can show you around the Temple.’ Matthew didn’t bother asking if ‘I’ could be turned into ‘we’. Surely, Ashara had other, better things to do than grace them with her presence. Although he certainly wouldn’t complain if she did. No matter the decision between the two, though, Matthew strides towards Zion, giving Ashara one final glance over ending with a beguiling smile, before he was in closer proximity to the man who again commands his full attention by title alone. After you, sir.

Ashara raised an eye brow as Matthew continued to shower her with praise for doing nothing. Her tail swished back and forth with large motions, similar to that of a feline.=Ashara=One in a million? Zion noted Matthew's reaction: the slight step back, the tension, the look of horror in his eyes. But just as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared. The boy quickly shifting gears back into flirt mode. While things might not have started off on the best of footings, there was something unshakeable about how much Matthew was growing on him already. The boy's cockiness quickly showing as he tried to further impress Ashara, something the woman shot down quite quickly. Zion smirking as he shifted his gaze to meet hers Thank you Sister Ashara... I would not wish to deprive your Squire of your presence further, I will handle this... He gave a bow to Ashara then, sneaking a wink in her direction before turning and guiding Matthew across the hangar bay. As the two made their way through the Temple, Kalene made sure to not only map out the entire layout of the building in her head but took note of the rooms and the value of each of them. If she was to learn to utilize the Force and become someone like Ashara and fight for the galaxy and uphold the mission of the Knights of Karabor, she'd be within these rooms often as she worked to become more than she ever thought possible.
As the day passed on and the tour started to reach its end, they finally arrived at the archives. Kalene's eyes widened in amazement. So much knowledge sitting right in front of her, all within reach of her fingertips. Never had she thought such information existed, much less it all existing in one place. It made her feel as if all the knowledge in all the galaxy was here. It took a minute or so for Kalene to settle enough to register the woman's comment before finally asking a single question. "Where do we begin?"

The forcespawn guided Kalene over to a desk that had a small terminal attached to it. With a few button pushes, Ashara demonstrated how to call up any of the digitally stored information as well as how to get the librarian drones to pull requested reading materials. In a few minutes, said materials were brought over to their table. Kalene would notice that only one of the texts was on the Forces effects on flora, while the rest were on philosophies ranging from Jedi to Sith.
=Ashara= Before we can start diving into harnessing your powers, you must first have a basic understanding of our guiding principles. Let's begin here. Opening one of the books, Ashara would begin teaching Kalene many different approaches to understanding the Force, and why each has something to teach and thus why balance is important.
==A few days later==
Ashara had been diligent in her instruction of young Kalene. After getting the purely philosophical out of the way, Ashara had brought Kalene out into the garden she intended for her to work in. Now typically this is when the Master attempts to teach their student in how to connect with the Force through meditation, but Ashara had something else in mind. She turned the girl loose on the gardens. Every tool, plant, or anything she needed was provided. All the while Ashara urged Kalene to keep her mind open as she tended her charge. Finally, after having to excuse herself to greet the new comer, Matthew, Ashara returned to the garden. She sat down cross legged in the grass, assuming a meditative stance, before speaking to her student.
=Ashara= Feel the energy passing from the Force, through you, and to that bush, there. Do you feel how you are all connected, not only in the mundane way that these plants produce breathable air, but how even they have a spirit, a life of their own? How every act you do to help them seems to help you? But note that should a garden or forest be left to only grow, it will choke itself and end up being its own demise. This is why gardeners are so important, and in nature, why brush fires are not always a bad thing. It is how Balance is maintained.

Perhaps you can tell me what you have heard about us? If anything at all, beyond simply that we exist here? Although Matthew doesn’t say anything more to this woman known as Ashara, something about her words clearly catches his attention. Now next to Zion and awaiting further instruction, the boy allows his gaze to linger just a bit too long upon her, as though studying her, and an ever-present smirk rests upon his lips. Granted, there wasn’t anything puzzling about her words; her very appearance mixed with her unique presence spoke volumes. So her words weren’t exactly surprising. The way he looked upon her, though, it was as if there was something more he wanted to quip back at her, but held his tongue. When Zion spoke, ready to guide the two away and leave Ashara to her business, Matthew offers one final, respectful bow of his head towards the woman.A pleasure meeting you, Sister. The way he emphasizes the word, he doesn’t hide his youthful amusement to it. I would be honored if you’d grace me with your presence again sometime. Turning on a heel and not looking back after his farewell to Ashara, Matthew picks up his pace to remain in line with Zion as he leads the two throughout the Temple. A few rambling beeps and clicks from the R-2 unit in Matthew’s vessel grabs his attention briefly, though, and with a wave of his hand, he dismisses the worried chatter from the droid. We’ll be back to get ya unloaded, Zeo, he calls over his shoulder. Just sit tight for a minute longer. It wasn’t like Matthew was overly concerned about impressing Zion at this point. Ashara played a wonderful role in keeping the older man’s mind open towards the idea of giving him a chance to prove himself. He had a month. As far as Matthew was concerned, a month was generous; he would only need a week to do the job. Still, he didn’t want to waste his or Zion's time, so the matter of his droid was a matter for another moment in the day. Zeo had been through much worse than just being strapped tight in his ship anyway, so he should count his blessings. At least the tour wasn't filled with awkward silence between settings. Information. History. Matthew did everything in his power to keep his eyes trained upon Zion as he spoke about the people who built this Temple, clearly sacred in his eyes by that rather rough first impression. Information was one thing, but history wasn’t exactly Matthew’s strong suit. Every time he let his gaze drift to take in his surroundings, from the corridors to each room and their purpose, Matthew felt like a chunk of Zion’s words went in one ear and out the other. And this was just the ‘as simple as possible for now’ explanation. Hopefully, there wouldn’t be a test on this later. To stay on the safe side, Matthew made note of the Archives Zion made mention of, and the fact that there were texts he could access, whether legally or not.Stopping at the balcony, Matthew takes in a deep breath and pushes his hair out of his eyes to get a better view of the main atrium and making note of where each path seemed to lead. Then came the questions. Matthew narrows his eyes as he thinks briefly on the little bit he did know about the Knights of Karabor. Although it wasn’t much, he hopes it would be enough to prove that he didn’t just fly all the way out here on a whim.I was informed that you sought to break away from the usual warring between the Sith and Jedi -- the Ashla versus Bogan argument -- and sought a more neutral territory with it all, Matthew begins as he continues to look over the atrium. He pauses to make note of a location that catches his attention before adding, Your woman confirmed as much, at least in part. Matthew then turns to catch Zion out of the corner of his eye and offers a knowing smirk. ‘Your woman.’ Whether or not the comment has any truth or made in error, it isn’t exactly important to the boy. The quip alone was worth it. Continuing, Matthew doesn’t miss a beat.I’m not exactly interested in any holy war between the light side and the dark side, so when I found out about you, I decided it was worth at least checking out. Leaning up against the protective railing that wrapped around the balcony, Matthew relaxes his stance and shoves his hands into his pockets. So with all that said, if there’s any other pertinent information you feel I need to know before I dive headfirst into this Karabor Knights thing you’ve got going here, I guess now’s the best time.

The days passed by after the visit to the archives, lessons ever about the philosophies of other orders. Part of her was disappointed as she was ready to learn about the Force, how to use it, and what it could do to further improve her gardening. Each day she woke up excited for those lessons, only to be met with more philosophy. It wad rather boring, yet, Kalene always listened intently, knowing it was just part of the greater whole she needed to learn as a member of the temple.
After a few days, a change came to her studies as they moved to the gardens where she was meant to work. After what she had learned, she had almost forgotten about this specific task. It was a nice reprieve fron her lessons as sge knew that while she was getting the basics, it would require a lot more time to fully be aware of the ways of the other orders.
Kalene puf her mind to work, thinking about the layout and plants sge wushed to use. There were quite a few options to go with based on the way the garden was arranged. Soon, Ashara departed to tend to some business aroubd the time she had a few optons she wished to run by the woman. Instead, she continued to work, looking at what else she could do so to bring them up when the woman returned.
Nearly half an hourcwent by before Ashara finished her business, moving to a seated position and immediately speaking. The whole time, Kalene had kept her mind open, trying to understand the Force and ger connection to it. But they were lessons that had yet to come, leaving her uncertain in how to go about it. But with Ashara's instruction, Kalene took a deep vreath and closed her eyes. It wasn't much, at least, in her mind to feel the Force, but it wouldn't keep her from trying. Apparently, with the wzy her plants grew, the Force was already fliwing freely through her without needing to try.
That was the key to it, to feeling the fliw of the Force in herself. It took several minutes, the time spent trying to quiet her mind, to relax and let go before she could feel something different, sonething flowing. Just as Ashara said, she could feel it branching out to the bush, to it hanging in the air. It was faint, but she was certain this was it. "I can feel it."
When the woman spoke of balance and how it related plants, Kalene nodded, understanding completely. If through all those lessons it could be summed up in such a way, then she'd figurevthings out much quicker tgan she thought.

A smile formed on Ashara's lips as Kalene said she could feel the Force working around her and through her.
=Ashara= Now hold on to that feeling. Remember it, every part of how it fills you down to the very atoms that make you up. Now follow that feeling, let it guide you. Trust it, allow it to keep you safe. And with this you have taken your first steps toward Knighthood! Settling back into her own meditative stance she could sense that during her departure Kalene had questions. What questions did you have for me?

Kalene remained silent for some time, focusing on the feeling she now had. She worked to lock it in her mind, to memorize it so that she could always remember the feeling for next time, letting connect so much faster and easier. It was a strange sensation, to say the least. Yet, at the same time, it was comforting.
With several minutes passing in silence, the girl opened her eyes and looked to Ashara, forming the thoughts for her questions. "I was going to ask what kind of setup you'd like to see here in the gardens. Perhaps any changes to the overall layout, things to add any particular flare?" The questions and ideas were certainly within Kalene though she wanted to first see what the woman had in her thoughts. If any of the plans of Kalene's went through, it would mean some serious renovations. Additions of a waterfall, some small creeks, a fountain, nice stone or marble pillars, or some benches.

The Smile widened on Ashara's face as she looked over the garden and the work that had already been done. Moving up to stand next to Kalene.
=Ashara= I envision a place of calm and reflection. With a space for the whole order to gather, but also some private alcoves and back garden paths for those seeking more privacy. Other than that, let your imagination run wild, after all, this is as much your garden as anyone else. I want to see what you feel. Listen to the Force. It will help guide you toward the decision truest to you.

Kalene thought for a moment as she looked around, trying to place some of her thoughts into words. Facing the entrance to the gardens, she started off by pointing to the right. "Perhaps we can build a waterfall over there that can recirculate the water and let it flow into the center where it'll turn into a pond with a fountain in the middle. From this pond, pathways can be created for the water to run around the gardens, placing something over the pathways so people can walk over them without the issue of crossing the water. Perhaps some lights in the walls of the trenches for setting nice moods for nightly meditations? To the left, we could build a small amphitheater so we desired, gatherings can take place here. Maybe some marble pillar holding hanging baskets could be added as well. As for the alcoves, use trees and vines around archways to give someone a more solitary place to relax and meditate and feel as if it is just them."

Zion studied Matthew as they stood atop the balcony overlooking the atrium. He moved forward himself, resting his elbows against the railing as he leaned forward slightly. His head turning to the side to look at the boy. A smirk forming at the mention of Ashara being Zion's woman. A statement that was not entirely true, but one that he hoped would one day be accurate. He shifted his gaze back out across the atrium as the small handful of students and Knights that already called Karabor home milled aboutI'd advise you don't ever let Ashara catch you calling her 'my woman', otherwise she might be a bit more serious about her reaction than in the hangar bay... He was still smiling as he turned back to look at Matthew, certain he had the boy's full attention right now. Even if it seemed like half the information so far had been quite lost on himYou are well informed for the most part. We do not seek to aide one side or the other in this war. The Jedi and Sith are both bogged down in their dogmatic ways, that they have been blinded to the one truth: Life demands balance. Both light and dark. One cannot exist without the other. It is our goal to ensure that balance remains as best as possible. To that end, we are in this fight together as Brothers and Sisters... Now, regardless of what you have done before, you will be Squired to a Master or a Knight to gauge your skills and train you to be one of us. I intend to give you every possible chance to succeed, and perhaps by the end of this month you'll be well on your way toward becoming a Knight... I think that's about all I have for now, unless you wanted to ask anything further? Otherwise, I can show you to the dorms and where you will be staying for the next few weeks.

As for the alcoves, use trees and vines around archways to give someone a more solitary place to relax and meditate and feel as if it is just them." Seeing how excited this all made Kalene, Ashara couldn't help but feel her mood rise even more. It was amazing watching young people, like Kalene, be so passionate about such creative and constructive things. It was a passion she hoped to foster, and turn to the betterment of the galaxy. Though from the sound of it, Kalene could simply be turned lose into any empty lot in a city and be a great help to the community. On top of all this Ashara liked the ideas she was hearing.=Ashara=I think it sounds lovely! I will secure any resources and help you require.

With the approval from Ashara for such a design, Kalene gave a smile. "In that case, I'll work out a design plan for it as well as everything I believe I'll need along with some support I trust to help me with the project. I should have everything finished in a couple days."
The girl looked around as she took in the gardens, letting the ideas she had take life within her mind. It would certainly be a vibrant area when everything was done. Smile remaining, she looked back to the woman. "I guess that just leaves whatecer else you had in store for my lessons today." The excitement was clear in her voice as she was to continue learning and growing.

Ashara could see how eager Kalene was in this moment. So the Forcespawn resolved not to disappoint her apprentice. The horned woman sat down on the ground cross-legged and invited Kalene to do the same opposite her with a hand gesture. Using the Force, Ashara then brought a small rock and held it between them, turning it over and over with the Force before setting it down on the ground.
=Ashara= It is not just Plants and Animals that are connected to the Force, but all things, even Rocks and Minerals. Once you learn to control this Force energy, you will be able to manipulate the world around you with it. Just as I have done with that rock, and just as you will one day do as well. But we shall start small first. I want you to recall how it felt to touch the Force. How it felt when you felt the plants earlier. Then I want you to pin-point this rock and grasp it and try to lift it.

I think that's about all I have for now, unless you wanted to ask anything further? Otherwise, I can show you to the dorms and where you will be staying for the next few weeks. As Zion moved next to him to lean forward against the railing, Matthews eyes followed, shrouded by a mess of black hair. Although it gave the illusion of the boy craning his neck to do so, for the most part he didn’t seem at all bothered by it, save for removing his hands from his pockets to support himself by propping his elbows on the railing. 'Don’t let her catch you calling her that.' Matthew half snorts, half chuckles at the warning.Oh, I’d look forward to invoking a reaction like that from her. Don’t you, Master Morviael? he teases, his smile taking on a more mischievous glint. Keeps you out of the line of fire, and I get to have the fun of seeing just how much it takes to turn an angel like that into a demon. There was an odd presence about Ashara that lurked in the back of Matthew’s mind, setting off a trigger within a sixth sense of sorts. It was familiar in a certain way, piquing the boy's curiosity. Thus, his particular choice in imagery. Alas, he had already sworn to himself before reaching orbit that he would play nice once here. With a shrug of his shoulders, the boy lets out a defeated sigh and falls serious -- or at least more serious than before. In part, it hid the sudden wash of relief in knowing that the information he received about these Karabor Knights was true enough. Then again, that was short-lived in knowing someone was going to be assigned to him. More people involved always complicated things.I have no further questions, sir, he states firmly, feigning rather believable confidence. Pushing himself forward from the rail, the boy turns on a heel to keep his eyes on Zion. I’ll just wait for your instructions with whom I’ll be squired to, to begin my training, and go from there. It sounded as though that would be a task for at the soonest tomorrow. It would offer plenty of time to arrange to get Zeo out of the ship, get settled into his room, and for some extra exploration of the grounds. As much as there was a lingering quip in his head regarding that preparatory school comment from earlier and comparing it to all this arrangement, he left well enough alone, at least for now. Matthew revealed nothing more than that familiar, perpetual grin as he waited for Zion to lead the way.

But we shall start small first. I want you to recall how it felt to touch the Force. How it felt when you felt the plants earlier. Then I want you to pin-point this rock and grasp it and try to lift it. Doing as Ashara did, Kalene took a seat before her, crossing her legs, ready to begin the deeper lesson in the path of the Force. She watched the display as the woman brought over a small rock, letting it turn between them before setting it down. The girl's eyes stayed fixed upon for a short while until the Forcespawn started speaking again, her eyes meeting the woman's. Each word she hung on, not wanting to miss any of the details within it, seeking out those tricks, tips, and deeper meanings. Her eyes glistened, reflecting her eagerness to learn and grow, to make the most of the gifts bestowed upon her by the universe.
Being given her instruction, Kalene nodded, closing her eyes and reaching out with her feelings, seeking to remember what she had sensed early and reconnect to the Force once again. Letting her body grow still, she let go of herself, calmed the questions and excitement raging within her mind. It was far from an easy task, even after feeling it once before. Living with a certain understanding, seeing things a certain way, they started to harden in the mind as reality. So many new opportunities and abilities lay in wait, all which defied logic. Deeper and deeper she let herself slip, falling passed her doubts, her fears, her curiosity until there was nothing but the emptiness, an emptiness was simply that, clear and free of chaos, open to anything.
Minutes ticked on, her mind feeling nothing but the emptiness. She was here, but it wasn't enough. She needed to reach out and so she did. She felt as if her spirit was pulling itself away, flowing out of her to entwine itself with its surroundings. With each passing moment, nothing came. But she refused to stop. She had felt the Force before, so she could again. She had felt the plants around her, the presence of her master, all without delving into emotion and letting herself fade into the existence around her.
It was then she realized what it was, what was needed to reach out. Letting herself become part of her surroundings, letting herself fade into it, she felt herself get pulled along by an invisible energy. At first, she couldn't feel anything, merely knew she was being pulled along. But slowly, she could feel the flow, the way it moved around her, through her. How could she have never truly felt it until now? It was still weak in her mind, but she could sense it, feel it flowing through everything, in all things. She couldn't help but smile as she let herself dwell upon the feeling, taking in the life that surged through it.
She continued to let herself reach out into the flow of the Force. She could feel it, surrounding everything. But how would she use it to lift the rock? Ashara didn't explain the details how, but should she rely on the woman to explain everything? She needed to figure things out on her own sometimes. That would be what was necessary to grow. As she let herself flow into the Force, she began to feel the things it surrounded, the solid objects that blocked the current. But within living things, the current flowed through them, each person having their own current as well. Letting the thoughts formulate in her mind, she took a chance. She focused upon her own energy letting it flow out of her towards the stone. It was slow, minutes passing on. Finally, her energy reached the saber, wrapping around it as if she was gripping it in her hand. With the Force wrapped completely around it, she beckoned it to rise. So it did, the rock levitating off the ground to rise and float in the air between them.
Her eyes opened slowly so as not to break her focus. She wanted to see it for herself, to know that she really did it. And there it was, right at the height of her eyes. She gave a soft smile to Ashara though she said nothing. It was but a small item, but even so, working to control the flow of the Force, to lift such a simple thing and hold it steady was still a difficult task. A few times as she sat there, it shook or dropped a bit as the girl hardened her focus. She wanted to hold it as long as possible, adapting to the feeling and the focus required.

Making their approach towards the temple, the Aegis-class corvette passed directly over the city of Dearic. Even at their height the girls could make out the beauty of the city below them. Coming here already seemed a good choice. They hoped it remained that way.
Reaching the temple, the craft lowered itself and landed atbone of the landing platforms, uncertain if it would fit into the hangar bay. As the systems began to power down, the four women departed the ship and waited at the the foot of the boarding ramp.
