-Z'har Surprisingly few thanks to rebreathers & armour beacons. Plus not many managed to land forces on the planet in the first place due to the orbital defenses.
That is a rather admirable trait, one I hope you will express to me if the need should ever arise for you to stick a knife in my ribs.
The tone was mainly joking, but the intent behind that last statement was deeply felt.

"Selaya...move," Ael declared, accompanying her words with a vigorous push to shift the muscular feline draped across her lap. Feeling pins and needles tingling in her lower legs, she turned back to face Z'har, green eyes meeting his own black ones as she leaned against him. She smiled slowly as she reached out and gently brushed her fingers along his jawline.
When she spoke, her voice was a low whisper, meant only for him, "My dear Admiral---with all your other advantages, you ask this of me as well?" One dark eyebrow arched mockingly, though sparkles danced in her eyes. "You are taller, stronger, and faster, not to mention other things, and you think I could pose this much of a threat?"
She moved closer, seating herself with him, and draped her left arm along his shoulders, while running her fingers through his hair with her other hand. Finally she kissed him.
"Fine. I'll do it."

Z'har's reply to the woman was equally low.
-Z'har My dear Jetii --- that is one fight I doubt I could begin, let alone win.

"Really?"
His answer intrigued and surprised her. While she was confident in her own abilities, she was also pragmatic in her approach to life.
"And why is that?"

Z'har was silent for a moment as he twisted his fingers through Jade's hair.
-Z'har Must I truly spell it out.

Ael was silent for a moment before answering, and when she did it was with a slow smile. "Am I truly so dangerous? So distracting that you cannot focus on other things?" She slipped her fingers through his hair till she reached the tie he used to keep it back from his face. She deftly removed it and let his dark hair fall loose before running her fingers through it.

Leaning forward ever so slightly, Z'har captures Jade's lips with his own.
-Z'har More than you can imagine.

After a few moments of silence, Ael finally replied, "I don't know about that. I can imagine a great deal..." but all the same, she smiled warmly, sparks of light dancing in her eyes as the two of them enjoyed a quiet evening together.
"I assume you know that isn't all one-way by now though." She shrugged. "I wouldn't trust just anyone with my life, and I did rely upon the word of a certain old acquaintance," she slid her hand to his bicep and squeezed firmly before poking him in the chest. "Of course, I wouldn't deny that I have never courted death at certain points of my life."

-Z'har You assume correctly.
For a while longer Z'har just relaxed in Jade's presence. Eventually she would have to rest, one of the drawbacks of being flesh & blood. Z'har had, however, set aside a few datacards worth of research data from the archives here to look over during that time.

"It is getting late," Ael whispered to her Zabrak companion.
Though she could have stayed up later, she decided against it since there was work to be done the next day and ruefully got up. Her joints were a bit stiff, so she stretched them out, before quickly changing into a loose robe.
"Join me?"
Ael knew he did not need sleep, but that didn't mean that she had to be alone until she fell asleep necessarily.

-Z'har Well, you were gracious enough to let me bunk here. I might as well enjoy the bunk.
The light nature of Z'har tone made it clear he was teasing Jade

She rolled her eyes in reply and slid over closer to the wall to make room for him. "Oh I wouldn't call it gracious," she replied as he joined her, "a toll shall be levied, and if you are unable to pay---well then," the diminutive female smiled slowly as she leisurely folded her hands behind her head.

Z'har changed into his own sleepwear, little more than loose pants, before joining Jade in the bed. His tone when he got around to answering still held the teasing edge.
-Z'har A toll? Oh dear, I hope it is not too expensive.

"Oh it is vastly expensive," Ael replied deadpan, turning towards him and reaching up to run her fingers gently down his chest. "You'll be paying for some time to come I daresay." The corner of her lips twitched, as she solemnly winked at him and then smiled.

It was much later when the sun began to brighten the edge of the sky. The only light in the room was from the dim datapad that Z'har was steadily working his way through. The only sounds were the light breathing of the two living beings in the room, as well as the simulated breathing of Z'har himself.
Dawn was not much longer away, & Z'har had nearly finished the stack of datacards he had copied from the archive. He was not sure what Jade's plans for the coming day were, but he would have to at least take the time to visit the archive for another stack. The subject that had kept him occupied through the last night was a general overview of the history of the known Force based organizations. So far he had not seen anything outstanding that might suggest another had managed to achieve the same state Z'har was now in, but he did manage to pick up on several hints that he would look into in greater detail with the next stack.

Sometime in the wee hours before dawn Selaya slipped out of the room to hunt for food. Jade herself woke up as the sun was creeping over the eastern mountains. She looked over at Z'har, still ostensibly reading through data-files, though she doubted he had been 'present' the whole night, or what was left of the night after she'd fallen asleep. However, it didn't really bother her as she propped herself up on an elbow, kissed him lightly, and then got up and began her typical morning routine: stretches, shower, dressing, etc.
While twisting her hair deftly into a low knot at the nape of her neck and fastening it with the jet and gold hairsticks he'd given her on Mondder she finally turned to look at him.
"Plans for today?"

Of course, by that time she had already gained his attention enough that he had set aside the datapad. Especially during the stretching.
-Z'har Well, unless you had plans for another tour of this lovely planet. I had planned to stop by the archives again. After that I was thinking about rubbing shoulders with the locals in the academy.

She had a good idea of what would catch his attention, and she most definitely used that to her advantage.
"I have to make a trip to the archives," Ael replied musingly as she looked up from her datapad. She'd picked it up to skim through the recent information on the academy itself, most notably the notations of recent arrivals and departures. "So, if you'd like we can go that far in company," she looked over at him with a smile and flash of green eyes, "and then I'm sure we'll run into each other later."

Standing up, Z'har stretches out as well, though his body never succumbed to discomforts.
-Z'har Well, then. Allow me to cover myself & we can be on our way.
It wasn't much longer before he was dressed in a similar manner to what he had been wearing his first day here, though his shirt was a light blue colour today.

Ael smiled fleetingly at the idea that he was implying she might not allow him to wear clothes. However, within a few minutes it was time to deal with the day. Before they left the room though she took the opportunity to kiss him in a lingering fashion while they were still alone.
Moments later the two of them left and headed towards the academic side of the complex housing the archives.
