The only exposed area of the complex, The Remnant Courtyard is aptly named. Once, it was an area of convocation. Now, whatever struggle left the courtyard abandoned turned this place of one-time accolades into an open-air memorial for those who chose to remain behind and defend the compound.
Foliage has regrown around the fallen rubble giving an eerie calm to dubbed courtyard.

The peaceful, eternal rest of the dead.
The courtyard was evidence of a long stay here by first the Old Republic, then subsequently the Empire. Tombstones adorned the ground, and an entire wall seemed to be devoted to small, rectangular burial chambers. Many of the tombstones were knocked over....some by violence, others by time...still others it was difficult to tell. Walking through the ancient shrine to the dead, Jedi Master Adieumus Matango was in silent contemplation. The disheveled ruins of the once-great courtyard laid before him as he entered, and leaned upon one section of still-intact railing on the upper walkway. Adi had stopped by the hangar on his way to the courtyard, and removed a package from one of the storage compartments on his fighter. He untied the silver cord carefully, unfolding the black silk that encased the object. Contained within was a jet black katana, one that Matango had acquired in a less-than-ideal manner.
It was the katana of Dace Concordia....known as Lord Iniquitous at the time he buried this weapon in Adieumus' shoulder so many years ago, and now he was dead. Just like so many others at the hands of the Mandalorian onslaught, Dace had been killed...beheaded by Manda'lor Intalbo. The news had struck Adieumus pretty hard....Dace had always seemed invincible, unkillable.
And now? He was gone.
Slowly, almost reverently, Adieumus pulled the weapon from its sheath. Touching the black blade, the familiar warmth of the weapon was gone. In its place, an un-natural chill that sent shivers up the Arkanian's spine. This weapon had always symbolized something between himself and Concordia....a respect that is bred between two men who are battlefield rivals, opposite sides of the same coin. Having someone like "Lord Iniquitous" to protect yourself and your family from is quite a motivator to get better at protecting them. Even AFTER Dace had come back to the light, there was still that friendly rivalry...that deep respect...
...The Mandalorians had taken that powerful light from the Jedi.
Raising the weapon above his head, Adi whipped around, slashing the base of a ruined pillar in two. The stone took a moment to slide downward, and crash to the ground. A single tear slipped down Adi's cheek, and he gritted his teeth. Why? Why did the Mandalorians have to do this?? Was it so deeply embedded in their philosophy to kill? Maim? Destroy? To take the lives of so many innocents? Were they really that insecure in their own lives that they had to take them from others, like some intergalactic bully?
For the first time in a very long time, Adi had lost his cool. He had brought the katana up, then down...time and again...sometimes cutting pillars, sometimes marble slabs, growling and snarling as the weapon fell over and over. Each slice through the hard stone was Adi venting his frustrations at not being able to protect them, protect each of them. It was this failure that he was reliving with each stone-shattering blow from the black metal. On one particularly thick slab, the weapon stuck in about three quarters of the way, and didn't make it through. Releasing the handle, Matango dropped to his knees.
"Why,WHY Dace? Dammit!! You left before I could get answers to SO many questions...Why did you have to go and get yourself killed??"
"Because they are questions you can answer yourself, Nephew. I've never known you to be such a crybaby. You are better than this."
His head snapped around, looking for the source of the voice. It was Dace, Adi was certain of it...but how? Even now, Matango could hear the familiar chuckle...
"Get up. Get UP, you idiot." Strangely enough, Adi felt himself being lifted off the ground, as if someone put their arms underneath his from behind, and pulled him off the ground. "Stop feeling sorry for yourself. You have too much to do right now to be on your knees wallowing in self-pity."
Matango's head cocked to the side. Dace was -dead-....was Adi losing it? Hearing voices wasn't good, even in the world of the Jedi. Unless you were Master Yoda, or your last name was Skywalker, force ghosts weren't that common to see. Yet, he still felt that sensation of being pulled from the ground....He didn't imagine that....So what the kriff was going on? He continued to look around, and suddenly, he felt a very hard smack on the back of his head.
...But there was not a soul there to be seen....and no more words were hanging on the air....but the gesture was taken as it was supposed to be taken. Dusting himself off, and wiping his tear-streaked face with his shirt, Adi took a deep breath, clearing his head. Whether or not it was really Dace was irrelevant now...the voice was right.
He needed to get his head out of his ass.
Turning back to the massive courtyard, Adieumus reached his right hand forward, and opened it. Closing his eyes, he projected the force out, and into the floor of the courtyard...wrapping it around a single statue in the middle. It was a bust of someone that Adi did not know, but its pedestal was still standing nearby. Slowly, carefully, Matango lifted it, and placed it back where it belonged. He repeated the action a few times more, methodically setting things back up the way they appeared to belong. After about ten of these smaller statues, he turned his focus to the row of columns along the left side of the upper walkway. He closed his hand once, then flung it open....causing three of the columns to lift back into the their former positions rather quickly.
He was starting to feel better already.
For an hour or more, Matango moved through the courtyard, lifting what he could into place, and basically tidying up. He paid special care to the tombstones of the fallen at the one end of the floor....bowing his head in reverence for each of the lost souls that called this place their home. Even though their sacrifice was made long before any that were here, they deserved the same respect as any other who fought for their cause, and perished.
Sweating, tired, and mentally wiped out from the long stint of intense force use, Adi panted, leaning against one of the pillars he had so recently put back in place. Reaching his right hand out, he felt the force wrap around the hilt of the black katana, still embedded in the stone. It first vibrated, then slid out of its stone prison, flying into Adi's hand. Reaching out with his left, he felt the sheath fly into that hand as well. Wiping the blade clean, Adi slid it back into the sheath quietly, and tossed it up over his shoulder.
"The sacrifices you all have made will not be in vain....I promise you that. Goodbye, Dace....It was an honor knowing you. May you find the peace in the afterlife that you never could know in life."
He was speaking to what appeared to be thin air...but it was more about acceptance. He was finally able to let go, and remember why he had come here in the first place.

Ak-Akari turned off his camouflage a few dozen feet away, leaning against one of the intact pillars. He'd entered silently, so used to coming and going unobserved that he found it second nature. He was sure Gregory was going to chide him for thinking he could avoid the AI's surveillance, but he felt comfort in anonymity from the people around all the same. He'd just come in recently, so he hadn't seen much of what had just happened. He had heard Adi's heartfelt goodbye though, and he thought it might be more tactful not to mention it. He pulled the mask off of his face, allowing the air to swirl in and allowing Adi to see his face as well.
"I was told you'd be down here, I wasn't told you'd be redecorating though. Everything alright here?"
There was concern on his face, but not too much. The Jedi were a tough breed if nothing else. A show of too much concern could do just as much damage as nothing at all. Besides, there were things to be done, not much time to dwell, best to not encourage it.

Adi's head snapped around, and he nearly got into a ready stance. He hadn't noticed anyone coming in, he had been so deep in his thoughts. Relaxing immediately at the sight of Ak-Akari, Adi nodded, and smiled.
"Yeah, it's fine. Just had a little bit of cleaning up to do is all. I was actually just about to call you, though. I need someone to get to the Honoghr sector of the Eastern Outer Rim to warn them of the danger that is sure to be headed their way. I am delaying the attacks for now by a few days. I can't let my need for retaliation compromise my position as Jedi Watch Lead. If you would be so kind as to take Knight Starfield with you, he has pretty good knowledge of the planet. He also has all the clearances you need to get into the restricted areas, I believe. If you can get word to Ice, she will take care of the rest."
Sighing, Adi pulled a smoke out of the beat-up pack in his pocket. He had tried to quit these things several times now...but it was one of the two bad habits he couldn't seem to let go of. Lighting it, and taking a drag, he exhaled.
"I, myself am going to Corellia, and get warning to them. Alkor will go with me. We need to get the message out that the Mandalorians are coming, and for them to get ready for absolute hell."
Sitting on a nearby step, Adi rested his arms on his knees. His face was tired, the dark circles forming under his eyes. How long had it been since he had slept? Four, five days maybe? He couldn't remember. He had been keeping himself going for days on caffeine, nicotine, and THC...and it showed. There had just been no time to sleep, too much to do....
...And a lot more to do yet.
Looking to Akkie, he realized something. Ashla had been building this team for several years now. Akkie had been somehow drawn into the conflict on Ossus, and had kind of tagged along with Adi since. Sure, there were times that the man wouldn't be around, but it seemed when he was needed, he was there.
"The force seems to want us to keep working together, it would seem, eh?"

Ak-Akari let puzzlement show on his face for a moment, then it dissolved into a thin if somewhat disappointed smile. He had been hoping to see some action, but he knew that what he had been assigned was just as, if not more, important. Still, it felt more like babysitting duty than anything, not so much for Starfield who held himself as quite the capable individula as for those back in the Jedi Order not able to take action. He shook his head for a moment, clearing the thoughts that were building up. You couldn't think negatively when it came to your place in a war, you had to just do your job and trust in others to do so.
He crouched down by Adi as the man sat, preferring to remain relatively on his feet. Closer in he could tell that the newly designated Jedi Master was barely holding together. For a moment the thought crossed his mind to hit him with a sedative and have someone else carry out the mission, but he knew that he didn't have the authority to give orders anyway. Hell, he was barely a part of the chain of command. But besides that, sedating the leader of an infiltration and strike unit was not likely to make friends. So instead he reached forward and clapped his hand on Adi's shoulder.
"I suppose that's one way of looking at it. I've never felt that the Force has given me much direction in life to be honest. The silence of it's voice is matched only by the belief of those like you that it has one."
He chuckled quietly, then rolled his head.
"Don't mind me, I'm just not used to being around so many Jedi and like minded people. Everyone with so much certainty of the fact that there is some kind of guiding power out there, some voice that leads them. It's... unsettling to me. That must sound odd to you I suppose, about as odd as all this seems to me. I'm sorry, not isn't the time for philosophy."
Ak-Akari sighed then, giving in and sitting down next to Adi finally, like old friends rather than the mere acquaintances that they were. He cringed a little at the smoke, inwardly disapproving but saying and showing nothing. It wasn't his to judge nor was it his to say anything, especially when his main complaint was simply that he couldn't stand the smell.
"All the same, we do seem to keep running into each other. Maybe there's a reason, maybe not. Fact is, I want to help and you seem to be the only one doing something, and that's rare in this universe. "
He shook his head, falling back into memory.
"Did you know that I avoided the Jedi order, even spoke out against them for years because I believed them to be nearly as harmful as the Sith? Too much infighting and stagnation, so many different factions amongst themselves, no organization, all the while pretending to still be protecting the people under them. At least the Sith were honest about being treacherous leeches I figured. Things have changed a lot now, the order unified as it is, and the fact that the mandolorians have even bothered with you proves it. Still, I can't help but feel that you, this little group of random misfits here, are the exception rather than the rule. "

It hadn't been the first time Adi had heard that one of the teams he led was 'the exception'. LAN, various strike teams....they all had been a little...different. It was just how it all played out. It was the role that Adi was used to filling. He usually didn't think much about it, he just did it. Recently, however, he -had- been reflecting on it.
Noticing that the smoke bothered Akkie, Matango crushed the butt out, and stuck the extinguished smoke in his pocket. Absentmindedly, he thought to himself that he should probably get one of the electronic ones, just to avoid situations like this.
"Story of my life, Ak. Everything I do seems to push the boundaries of what I know...what others know, and what they are willing to do. Sometimes, I wonder if I was put in this galaxy to play the counterpoint role. I draw people to me that are exactly what you called them...ragtag misfits. I've also learned that those so-called misfits are some of the most skilled for the jobs intended."
He was dead serious. Anyone that tended to flock to Adi, there was generally something...off...about them. But that didn't matter much to the Arkanian. He just figured he was a weirdo magnet, and dealt with it. Besides, the ones that were a little crazy tended to be the ones you want in your corner when things went pear-shaped...
....They most certainly were pear-shaped at the moment.
"Y'know, I shared your feelings for the Jedi Order as a whole for a long time. With LAN, we supported them for the most part, but still kept our distance as much as we could. It was only when the Jedi truly came together to form a united order did I decide to bring my old team into the fold, so to speak....right around the time you and I met on Ossus. The transition hasn't been easy, I'll tell ya. Hell, I haven't seen my family in so long, I can't remember when it was
I miss them."
So many things had been taken from everyone here, not least of all the freedoms and life they had enjoyed before this war had begun. Families had been torn apart, shattered by a 'Holy War' that none of them had even expected...all because a prejudiced, narrow-minded fool had planted seeds of hate in their minds. This common theme for fighting a war was getting very old already, and the war hadn't even entered its second week yet....

Ak-Akari nodded, a little surprised that Adi shared his own views on the Jedi but then again nothing about Adi seemed to be a normal Jedi. Perhaps that is why he was drawn to work with the man, or maybe it was just what he said: Adi was one of the few with the leadership ability and drive to actually be proactive in this galaxy. Ak-Akari had the drive to be sure, but he would be the first to admit that leadership wasn't anywhere close to his style.
"Glad to know where we stand then. Maybe we're more alike than I first thought."
He sighed then rubbed his face for a moment before going on.
"I have to say though, I'm sorry about being away from your family. I can't say I sympathize, but I understand that it must be hard. Never really had one myself you see. I was raised by a small community, turned out to be some kind of weird Sith experiment or something. Hell, I don't know what it was, but it certainly wasn't the innocent little backwater I'd always thought I grew up in. I mean, not everyone was in on it, but no sooner had I left than I found out that the people I had thought were my friends were in fact a bunch of wannabe Dark Jedi."
He pulled out his lightspear, the shaft collapsed into itself. He extended the by now scored and burnt metal casing, inspecting it.
"Tried to bring a few back, never really did make a difference. The only one of them with any real power gave me this and left me on good enough terms, though I doubt that we'd see eye to eye if I were to run into him now. Probably figured I'd be back for more or some shit. Doubt I'll see any of them again though, that group had some bad people after them, bad debts. Wouldn't be surprised if they were all dead now."
He put the lightspear down, not putting it away yet but just placing it lightly on the ground. His left hand instead slipped into his pocket and started fumbling with something there, almost nervously. After a moment he withdrew it again. Now wasn't the time, they had too much going on. He could deal with his own mysteries and personal problems later. He took a deep breath.
"So, my life to that point a lie, my friends irreversibly corrupted by the darkness or dead, I went into exile. Travelled around, stopping for food, water. Trained a lot mostly. Can't say I regret it. Something comforting about being alone, not having any connections, you know? After so much betrayal it just felt right. But the more I travelled the more I saw. Mostly I just saw a lot of pain and after a while I just decided I couldn't stand by anymore, so I went to the Jedi hopping that they had changed from the order I'd seen when I was younger. Ran into you on Ossus. The rest you know."
He shook his head again, forcibly pulling himself out of his memories. It wasn't that they were secret or anything, he just didn't want to dwell. He forced a grin on his face.
"Dammit Adi, what is it about you that just gets me talking eh? I'd ask if you did some sort of mind trick on me, but trust me, I'd be the first to know if you did."

I didn't know what Dad was thinking as I left, but i was glad to be flying on my own free will… and not in some lab of his, or in that suitcase. I don't think I knew quite yet he saw as my "Most powerful"… but for now I just had to enjoy things.
<<And nothing if more enjoyable than fresh air… even if i can't breathe>>
Finding my way through the mazes of hallways out to the surface I found myself some open area. Scanning i saw a yellow dot that i think represented Brother Allistar, but then I saw two beings in what seemed to be a place of memorial to the fallen. I dove myself as silently as i could down to a perch to land. It wasn't in any attempt to be stealth on my part… but, i just didn't want to disturb the two men from their talks…. it would be rude of me. and Dad kept teaching me that being rude was wrong.
But as i landed i overheard bits of conversation… including bits of the conversation that spoke of "Family".. not that this concept was foreign to me… but I didn't like that fact that While i JUST got to know a nice lady… I got called away so that Dad could take care of things here. I felt a sadness in the pit of my being as i betrayed my location by uttering a small phrase
<<I miss Mommy>>

Miras inhaled deeply as he entered the courtyard, savoring his first taste of fresh atmosphere in what felt like years. It was refreshing, too- being out in the open after such a long stretch spent crammed into a cockpit. Running a hand back through his shock of black hair, the young Corellian shot a glance over at the two older men who were deep in conversation. Probably best not to interrupt them now; it looked...involved. He found an unoccupied corner and sat with his back resting against one of the pieces of rubble that littered the courtyard.
The Jedi would no doubt find him when he was no longer busy, Miras reasoned. After all, Adieumus had to have felt him arrive. Pulling a battered pack of cigarettes from within his robes, the padawan shook one loose and lit it. Smoke curled lazily from the corners of his mouth as he heaved a contented sigh and settled in to wait.

Adi chuckled as Akkie noticed that he talked more around Adi. It was the same for a lot of people...he just seemed to bring out the conversationalist side of people. Just from the emotions on the other lightsider's face, it was brutally apparent that he didn't share this with just anyone.
Adi felt truly honored.
"I really don't know, Ak. People just open up to me. Maybe its just my lot in life to be a sounding board...and I don't mind one bit. Comes in handy once in a while, ya know?"
Matango smiled as Puck flew around the courtyard, and came to light nearby. He was a very welcome sight...a phoenix risen from the ashes. It was a metaphor really...what had the youngling had to suffer? What trials had he to endure to come back to this world? It paralleled the plight of the Jedi at this very moment. Right now, they were merely ashes...a shadow of what they were just two weeks ago, and made so by the Mandalorians....same as Puck.
It was now time for them to rise from the ashes...and become something far greater.
The young Jedi learner that Adi had for some reason asked to come along for the ride entered the Courtyard, and politely waited nearby. Waving him over, Adi grinned.
"I see we share at least one bad habit...hopefully, we can break that habit together, eh?" Adi pulled a smoke out as well, and lit it. Yeah, yeah, he had just put one out. It was a stressful time, cut the guy a break...

He saw the wave and hauled himself to his feet. Brushing off his robes as he crossed the courtyard, Miras approached in time to hear the tail end of their conversation. He grimaced; a sounding board? The very thought threatened to renew his headache. Still, despite Adi's apparent touchy-feely nature, he was rumored to be one of the more accomplished warriors the Jedi Order had to offer. If he could pick up a few tricks from the Master, then it would probably be worth tolerating his good-vibes demeanor.
He joined the group, nodding once in greeting to the man he didn't know before turning to Adi.
"Sounds like quite the bonding experience." He replied with a marked lack of enthusiasm. Taking another long drag off his cigarette, the youth blew twin streams of cloudy white smoke out of his nostrils and fell silent, unsure of how to continue.

He seemed to have a bit of an attitude. Good...the ones that were the strongest of will tended to make the best Jedi...it just took patience beyond belief, a stronger will than possessed by the student, some good old fashioned discipline...
...and a lot of Endorian.
For but a moment, Adi chuckled, then snapped to his feet, and in less than the blink of an eye, stood mere millimeters from Miras' nose.
"BOY! You better walk a much tighter line than that if you intend on making Jedi Knight on my watch! This isn't your cushy little spot at the Academy. The Jedi there? They are pussies. I saw something about you, felt a different vibe when you and I met...that's why I had you follow. Don't make me regret that decision already."
Adi stepped back a single pace, but his eyes stayed transfixed on the padawan. The iron will garnered from countless battles with seemingly endless foes in the name of the Jedi Order was shining brightly from the ice-blue orbs.
"So, are you capable of what I think you are? Or are you just another hack that belongs at the bottom of the barrel?"

His mouth curled into a sneer as Adieumus unloaded on him, but frankly he was too shocked to speak. Was the man unhinged? The sarcasm in his earlier comment might have been in poor taste, but it had also been barely there, easily construed as simple absentmindedness. To provoke such a response...Miras was fairly certain the Order had sent him along with a mad man. He bore the shouting in silence, wearing an expression of disbelief, and when it was over he simply flicked his cigarette away and nodded.
"Yeah," He replied, face settling back into its usual sullen mask. "I'm capable."

I was spotted… shoot.
Actually i was glad at the spark of the smile on Uncle's face. I liked attention… not so much that i would go and do something DRASTIC… But i liked to be payed attention to, especially when Daddy was either worried about me…
<<hi Uncle… Daddy sent me out here to check up with you…>>
Then a moment of weakness shown as i shuttered at how often i heard the phrase "My own good" when relating to Daddy and his worry for others beyond himself.

A grin slowly spread across Adi's face at Miras' reaction. He still had a little fight left in him....that was good. He also knew when to back down a little....also good. Something, however, needed to be done about those grubby, shabby, and SO out of style Jedi robes the kid was wearing. They were -so- 45 ABY..
"All right then, Kid. You stay by my side, no matter where I go...except the refresher. I like to do my business alone, thank you.
I have some things for you to wear. Those robes just aren't gonna cut it. Now...Let me introduce you to someone.""] Turning to Puck, Adi gestured to the little creature. He -was- odd looking...but his speech sounded somehow older. It was obviously beyond Adi's understanding as to exactly -how-....but that was all right. Sometimes you didn't need to understand something. Sometimes it was best just to accept it.
"This is Puck. He has been a good friend to me, and was pivotal in the initial defense of the Yavin Praxeum. I probably wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for him."
Sure, it was a slight exaggeration, but Puck did assist in a very valuable fashion by retrieving that datachip. That would prove an extremely valuable asset here in the near future.
"Puck, I would like you to meet my new student, Miras."

It had been a long time since I'd seen the sun. I had been running through the smelly and often wet tunnels underneath the complex and between walls almost since our initial meeting and as a result I wasn't exactly in the best condition myself. My many pocketed jumpusuit had a dozen or so minor tears and rips as well as a long gash across my left leg that exposed the white skin underneath along with a long scar that although new looked almost fully healed thanks to my rarely used, but rather good, skills at healing. My unkept beard and hair, peppered with grey, made me look more like a hobo than a jedi. My familiar half-smile breaks through the grime to reveal my white teeth as I notice the small gathering of people in the courtyard and make my way to them.
My condition didn't bother me in the slightest as I stopped about a meter and a half from the group. Many jedi these days were very concerned with looking like the shining light of justice that they believed they were, but me, well I never really cared what people thought, besides I look like exactly what I am, I disheveled old drunkard who happens to do something right from time to time by accident. I keep my position, waiting to be invited in, or stoned to death as a stranger, before just breaking into the conversation in progress. I had some great news to share about my work, but I didn't want to ruin anything already in place, besides by now they may have forgotten I was even here.

I smiled shyly. It was just like uncle Adi to exaggerate what i did. he had a habit of promoting everyone but himself. taking off i circled around this new student before landing on Uncle Adi's shoulder. I didn't know how to politely interact… i DIDN'T quite have a hand with which to shake, so i used every joint of Articulations and flourished a bow.<< Hiya, I am Puck.>> noticing the new robes he had received i began to sniff around. It wasn't that i thought something was off… but rather Dad often spoke of having something little to go with an outfit. a small clasp or something. suddenly whatever sensors i had for this went off alerting me to something<< Mira Mieru, over here.>> I flew towards one of the pillars that were now sliced down. from what i could sense, after an inch or so of concrete the core of the pillars were opal.<< Dad could make you something that could go with the robes if you bring a supply of this opal to him>> though in my own mind, i already had a design in mind.

"Understood."
Nothing short of dumbfounded by Adi's behavior- going from polite one moment to screaming in his face the next, and then right back to his mild mannered self- Miras simply nodded. He thought the man might have a bit of a sense of humor but at the moment he was too disoriented for it to really register. Still, he couldn't resist a sigh of relief at the mention of getting new duds- these Initiate robes were rough, heavy, kriffing stifling, and they chafed.
Turning to the creature that alighted atop Adi's shoulder, Miras raised an eyebrow. What the hell was the thing? Some xeno life form he'd never encountered or even read about- and that was surprising, given the extensive amount of time he'd spent in the Corellian Academy's archives, poring over every tomb and piece of data he could get his hands on.
"Nice to meet you...Puck."
Turning his head to follow the odd creature as it suddenly flitted away, he caught the eye of another man, this one just approaching the group but hanging back. Meeting his gaze, the Padawan nodded wordlessly.

The lesson had been learned, apparently. Good, that meant he wanted to learn. The look of confusion was enough to tell Adi that he had Miras exactly where he wanted him at this point. Puck mentioned something about opal, but Adi had no idea where to get some right now....He didn't think there were supplies of the material just laying around here on Carida...especially on a former military base...
He had found stranger things in places far more odd though.
"I'll do that, Puck. I'll go see him as soon as I leave here. Miras, grab yourself something for breakfast, and have Gregory show you where my fighter is. I have a second set of cargo pants and a t-shirt in there I think...maybe even an extra pair of shoes. Pants might be a bit long, but you can trim them as you see fit. Give me an hour, and join me back here. We have some things to work out as far as your training regimen."
Master Frantz entered the courtyard now as well....dirty, and tired looking. He had been busy for some time, and many things seemed to be up and running now. Between Mike and Dia, this base was actually becoming liveable rather quickly. Nodding to the senior Jedi Master, Adi waved for him to come over.

As soon as Adi aknowledges me I make my way over, flashing my customary half-smile to everyone present before pulling out my flask and letting a little bit of the wonderful liquid inside slide through me before silently offering it to anyone else present (including Puck, although Monte might not like that too muchy) just simply holding it out in between them all a silent "if you want some grab it". Turning my blue eyes to Adi I don't even bother trying to bow or salute or any of that mumbo jumbo before speaking.
Well the good news is the 'freshers are working again. I say with a smirk, as if to make him believe that's all I had been doing. On top of that our air filtration system should be able to remove more of the stale taste we've been experiancing, plus now 70 percent of the lights work as opposed to the one or two that actually functioned when we first arrived. A deep booming laugh escapes me as I bring up my last bit of news, adding it on the end as if it was an unimportant afterthought. And most of my new "security systems" Yes, I did just use finger air quotes there, so sue me. are up and running. In truth they are security systems in a sense although "traps of great destruction and lots of flamey things" would probably be more accurate.
