It is a dark hour for the Jedi order. After escaping the siege on Yavin, newly minted Jedi Master ADIEUMUS MATANGO calls several of the best and brightest to a new secret operations base on the colonial planet of CARIDA. Many heed the call at the first sounding, such as Jedi Master MIKE FRANTZ, and AEL JADE. While others, like Jedi knight DIAMONTE TUHLUTE refuse the call, still in mourning for his lost companion PUCK.
Choosing to take a more aggressive route in order to destabilize the Mandalorian Fleet blockading Yavin IV, Jade is dispatched to destroy a beskar mining and distribution facility, in hopes that cutting supplies can draw the blockade away from Yavin IV.
However, Death Watch Leader DRED VIZSLA contacts the leader of the Mandalorian forces, ASHRAH INTALBO regarding the involvement of the Jedi. In his hatred for the Jedi burning in his mind, he dispatches the venerable and feared TAUNG H'REL to track down and destroy the small Jedi combat force in retaliation. With his sights set on Carida, MAND'ALOR INTALBO intends to send a message to all force users in the Galaxy....

Three ships descended from orbit, their shape was aggressive and angular, mirroring their larger distant cousins the Keldabe class battleship. It was not necessarily these ships that were the danger to the no longer hidden, but well concealed, Jedi Base, it was what they carried within. An entire Mandalorian airborne assault group, backed by heavy artillery. The three 900 meter ships settled down into the jungle, from hatches and hanger bays streamed Mandalorian Elite Airborne Assault Troops carrying heavy repeating blaster rifles and slug throwers in MAAT/CG assault vehicles, heavily upgraded versions of Clone Wars LAATs, escorting them were Bes'bev gunships, Legcutter assault craft, Royal Air Cruisers slinging a turbolaser underneath the sleek aircraft, and at last, 200 Pirimm'uliik droids that set off immediately through the air to begin softening up whatever defenses the Jedi may have in place. The beastlike droids resembled their old cousins, Basilisk War droids, modernized and upgraded, with almost the same level of bloodlust one might expect from something called a beast.
The heavily armed mechanical beasts fanned out in groups of 20 flying up the valley walls to get some altitude before turning towards the Jedi base 20 kilometers to the north.
Once the ships were on the ground other vehicles began to appear, large lumbering vehicles, 20 heavy Ram'or with turbolasers and 20 with ion cannons lumbered after their smaller escort vehicles and troops as they moved up either side of the valley in order to gain a height advantage to view the Jedi Base and cover it with direct fire. The smaller mulit-barreled vehicles that were escorting the larger vehicles were Abiik'aranar mobile anti aircraft/infantry fighting vehicles, ready to shred infantry, aircraft, and light vehicles alike with a sweltering amount of fire from four rail cannons and four medium laser cannons. Whole trees are knocked over or simply shot out of the way, crashing to the ground with thunderous groans of protest as the vehicles pushed up the slopes enough to get a line of sight on their target area.
Troops that werent on the MAAT/CG assault craft fanned out in front of and amongst the vehicles to protect them as aircraft began circling overhead, and on the far side of the Jedi Base upvalley, waiting out of range and out of direct line of fire from the positioned artillery vehicles.
Five hundred Taung Airborne Commandos and Taung exited the Nasryaec and cloaked, quickly winging up out of sight to high points on either side of the valley, managing to get to observation points just in time to see the Pirimm'uliik droids make their first pass over the Jedi Base, spewing emerald bursts of laser cannon fire on par with that, and indeed shared by, the Empire's notorious TIE fighters.
