The dining hall of the academy, which is located on the first floor and features large buffet style counters with cuisines from many different cultures and cafeteria seating.

Terra's enthusiasm and readily apparent, singular focus on consuming her meal prevent, for a time, any conversation and so, content to nurse my Naris bud tea, I do not interrupt my Padawan as she eats, instead considering the matter of how we shall proceed with her training should she not come up with any ideas or suggestions of her own; we are nearing, I have begun to sense, the final leg of our journey together as Master and Apprentice, the time for her to face her final Trials drawing ever nearer as her knowledge and skills progress. Terra has, even from the beginning of her time here at the academy, demonstrated an ease with certain aspects of her training - the art of the lightsaber, for instance, and some of the techniques of working with and through Ashla - that has, to me, always suggested that her missing memories include some previous training she has no recollection of and yet which has facilitated the smooth acquisition, or re-acquisition if my suspicions are founded, of those skills a potential Jedi Knight must acquire before moving from Padawan to Knight.
That, even after all the time that has passed since she began her training, Terra seems no closer to recovering her lost memory, could mean that those memories are well and truly lost to her for whatever reason, or, even less comforting, it could suggest that she has made no true effort to disinter them for whatever reasons of her own; fear of what she might find among the possible motivations for the lack of effort and certainly the most prospectively concerning. With her Trial of Spirit fast approaching, if I am gauging her readiness for the final Trials correctly, it is becoming increasingly paramount that Terra make an honest effort to probe her memories so that, should they not be lost at all and prove to contain things that would merit her concern for what she might find, she is not blindsided by anything within herself that she might, had she recovered her memories, have better prepared herself to confront during the Trial.
When I see that Terra has finished her meal, I smile, arching an eyebrow in amusement as I ask rhetorically, "Hungry were we? I do not suppose that, whilst you were seeing that your stomach was been seen to, you have determined whether there are any areas of your training that you would like to focus on as we come nearer to the time that you will face the last of your Trials?"

Terra smiled a little at being asked if she had been hungry and shrugged."A little."Her smile faded as her thoughts continued to dwell on her upcoming Trials, still wondering how one could best prepare for them. She had always felt overwhelmed a bit when thinking about her future within the Jedi Order, feeling that it always seemed like so far away, yet she had already completed two Trials and had progressed well in her training.
She sighed and shrugged."I'm not sure...I mean...I know I'm doing well, but..."She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly to calm herself before continuing."I just get so overwhelmed when I think about it. Being a Jedi Knight, I mean."She giggled nervously."I guess I'm still not used to thinking about my future like this."Slavery back on Nar Shaddaa felt like a lifetime ago, but as much as she would hate to admit it, it still affected her, even though she had been working hard to distance herself from that life.

Having detoured slightly to let Selaya roam outside in the gardens, Jade finally entered the Dining Hall of the Corellian Jedi Academy alone. She quickly spotted Serrin Roma seated and in the middle of a conversation with a young female who seemed to be her Padawan, not yet a Knight. To Jade's eye she seemed not to have attained a level of self-confidence conversant with that step in rank. However, she was fully aware that rank and status were sometimes poor judges of one's character and achievements.
She headed over to the cafeteria-style counters and began selecting some food: a solid, juicy-looking steak (probably bantha?), salad, and a tall glass of Corellian ale. Balancing the plate on one hand, she held the glass up to the light and analyzed the colour and clarity of the liquid contained therein before taking an experimental sip. Obviously the result was satisfactory as she followed it up with a much deeper drink, and made her way over to Serrin and her Padawan. Hmmm. There were plenty of open seats. However, the question was, whether to sit next to Serrin which might make Terra ill at ease, or to sit next to Terra, facing Serrin---a situation that might possibly make Terra feel just as uncomfortable. Shrugging nonchalantly, she stepped over next to Terra and sat down facing Serrin at a slight diagonal angle. It was much more comfortable to talk directly to someone in front of one's self instead of constantly having to turn sideways. She nodded in greeting to Terra, and half-bowed to Serrin.
As soon as a convenient pause in the conversation appeared, she spoke quietly, "Greetings, Serrin, and," she paused as she had never really met Terra, "to you as well."

Terra smiled back at the woman now sitting beside her, having no recollection of their ever meeting before. The woman clearly knew Serrin, though, and she was content to sit back and let them talk and wait for Serrin to introduce them. But as she leaned back in her seat, the burp that had been building up since she had finished her breakfast finally broke to the surface, and was out before she could stop it. Her hand flew up to her mouth and her face turned very red as she squeaked an apology."Oh! Excuse m-me!"

Jade stifled a surprised grin at the outburst, though since Terra had turned away it was unlikely that she'd have noticed. She arched an eyebrow quizzically over at Serrin. To be sure she was not offended. Unexpected things could happen to even the most dignified and polite of beings, so, she overlooked the temptation to poke fun at the expense of one who seemed to be unduly embarrassed. Instead, she smiled in a friendly fashion and introduced herself, "I'm Ael Jade---though everyone calls me 'Jade.'" It had been awhile in fact since she'd actually used her genuine first name in referring to herself. Noticeably Serrin and Yseult were the only two exceptions she had made in some months now, years if one did not count a few isolated instances. And this young woman, if the registry was correct, would be "Terra Kiros, I presume?"

Terra turned back to face Ael, still red from embarrassment. Despite Serrin being more lax on things like manners when it was just the two of them, Terra herself always tried to be polite as possible anyway, mostly as a way of distancing herself from life on Nar Shaddaa. Not to mention how important first impressions were when meeting someone new, though to her relief, Ael didn't seem to be offended. She managed a small smile as the woman introduced herself as Ael Jade, or just Jade."It's n-nice to meet you."

As a seasoned warrior Jade was used to making snap decisions based upon initial impressions; however, she was also more than aware that a cursory impression could be very different from the reality of the matter. She was not sure how to restore Terra's momentarily loss of self-confidence though. It had been some time since she dealt with young people. Jade didn't feel like she was 'old' per se, but she had decades of life experience behind her. And when confronted suddenly with a situation involving those who were much younger than herself, as in nearly two generations removed, she occasionally found herself at a bit of a loss.
"Likewise, Terra. This is delicious, isn't it?" She replied, gesturing to her own half-eaten dinner as she attempted to place the young woman at her ease. She'd led a military life for many years before becoming a Jedi, so her 'sensibilities' were not offended in the slightest.

Terra smiled again, looking to her empty plate for just a moment, which just minutes ago had been heaped with food. She was relieved that Ael didn't seem to mind, though now that the moment had passed, it seemed kind of foolish to her that she had made such a big deal out of just a little burp. Seemed like she had made quite a big deal out of almost nothing, but it was over and she decided not to think further on it.
She nodded. "Yes...well it...was anyway..."She giggled a little, glancing again at her empty plate.

Down the great hall from the front entrance, the Dining Hall is a popular place for learners and padawans to gain nourishment and comiscerate over their studies, where knights come to get an extra cup of caf while doing their research on their next mission; where the masters come to discuss the politics of the galaxy as well as the vision of the Order.
These days, the Dining Hall is relatively quiet due to the lack of enrollment at the academy, just a few learners scattered around the tables, older learners. Those who have passed their proficiency exams but have not been placed with Masters or knights who are absent from the academy due to the Order being streyched then.
Still, the Hapan Deputy Administrator strolled past the long lines of tables to the trays and the buffet lines and offered the Twi'lek dancer a tray before grabbing her own and beginning to assemble a healthy salad. "You will have to forgive me, but I don't recall receiving your name Miss? . . ." Isra Bel awaits for a response. . .

The twilek answered with a nonchalant face, as if she was answeing something about the weather.
-5- "Five, I am Number Five."
She chose differently then the jedi. She took meats, sauces, steamed or grilled vegetables, but very carnevorious. To end it off, she helped herself to juice. Taking the closest awailable seat, she started in on her food.
-5- "Took a while to get here, and I hate living on fast food... so... you jedi are in a war, no? With the Ironclad? My masters want to help, of course, against some help on your side."

It was only a small struggle against her natural Hapan habit to be repulsed by the this woman's eating procedures. She kept her jedi serenity about her. "Number 5? intriguing, why do you not have a name? I have a working familiarity with twi'ek culture, they typically have names. And, if you don't mind me asking, what brings you to our humble institution of learning?" Isra politely works on her salad awaiting Number 5's response. . .

She blinked at the woman. She had just said why she was here, she have been saying it for some time now, and with no reply. She closed here eyes to find the words that would befit a simpleton or one of the gamorreans back home, and finetuned it to still sound diplomatic.
-5- "I have not earned a name yet, just a designation. I come from a more... forgotten part of Twi'lek cutlure. As for why I am here, is because of your war with the Ironclads. I have said before, my masters have information and help they can offer your order, because they rather see you survive this war then the Ironclad. I am the envoy they have sent. Of course, they have a price, but not in money. For starters, they demand twenty Spiral Class boarding shuttles, or their equalents that can break through the a capitolships shields and hull. The ships would be used in the war against the Ironclads, so it would not be used on inocent civilians, as you might judge it would."
Her voice was cold, and she had even stopped eating, waiting for a reply. Allthough she knew it would not come at once, she was made ready for a long wait and a longer negotiation, but she was armed well for it... and armments were to be coming in. Every night at six Standard, she would have to be alone to see if one of the Mistresses would contact her, or if the First Banshee would.

Without losing an ounce of composure to the clear irritation that. . .this one is demonstrating, "It is that reason precisely that I ask what you are doing here. Who is your master? And why do they choose to subjugate their servants in such a way that they are not provided with a identity-- so much so that they are even robbed of a personality and something as simple as name. The nomenclature of a numbering system to signify . . .well insignificance is simply abhorring." The Hapan jedi takes a breath. "Whoever does this to their subjects, I can't help but to think what kind of ally they would be to the Jedi Order. Though I am not a Master of the Academy, nor am I member of the Jedi Council, I do not see how an alliance with an seemingly overlord as the leader can stand. Beyond that, he sending a slave shows how serious he is to an alliance. Now, though I do not wish ill will or disrespect to you or your master, but surely your master would not believe that sending a slave to propose an alliance with the Jedi Order would be permissible?" Isra's jade eyes steeled, though her expert face should appropriate levels of empathy to Number Five.

Her annoyance gone, now. She smiled. This was the exact reaction CEO P Bateman had prepeared her for and she knew inside, that this was the wish of her Mistress... she had a sickish love for messing with others, and even if it did not help her cause she knew why one of their sisterhood had to be sent. Nobody else was trusted enough by the Mistress. She looked the jedi deep in the eye and started on her story.
-5- "I was a servant slave on Sanex before my master found me. My master at the time was a cruel being, enjoying the torment of others, his family, his pets, his slaves. My master raided slavers that were known to treat their slaves badly, he found me with four broken ribbs, a bad flu and my left broken hand. He healed me up, and took my past away by taking my name and giving me a number. I once was Twenty Six, and I have worked my way to become Five. I yearn my name, and I am my masters loyal servant for taking away the bad and giving me all the good of life. That is why he sent me, because out of all his other servants, he trusts me.
As for why he is not here, is because he is gathering the information that can win your war, and save many lives while his own is in danger.
And yes, he does enjoy provoking people, and I appoligise for that."
She started eating again, content with her little monologue. Bateman had told her to go as close to the truth as possible without actuallly serving the Mistress and Juvex, and so she did. The only lies she had used thus far were the gender of her master and the planet she had lived on before this life.

The Deputy Administrator takes the apology with graceful bow of her head and continues. "Thank you, for that apology; however you have-- quite skillfully-- avoided answering my question directly: who is your Master? What does he know of the Mandalorian attacks? And why does he feel as if his own life is in jeopardy?" Something about this did not feel right to the young Hapan jedi, perhaps just a little more questioning will lead her to what needs to be found. . .

She giggled a little as if the jedi had spoken a good jape.
-5- "Please, I thought it was obvious... I am instructed not to rell you. My masters would like to be incognito, for reasons they hold dear, and I dont question them, their wisdom and leadership has never failed my trust. But I guess you want to know if this is a Sith farse to pull your strings, is it not? It is not. We hunt the sith with greater ferocity then you, I would be led to believe. Even I once slaughtered the underlings of a sith with my sisters on ryloth, destroying his base and freeing many slaves."
She left out the part where they kept some of those slaves to later become sisters... but that is not for the jedis ears.
-5- "I was instructed to tell you just enough to make it a game... again, one of the many provoking jests of my masters, and for me to appoligise."
This time her appoligy was not fully sencear. She was shining with playfullness, being the gamemaster of a game to be played... childish, yes, but still, she held the cards and for now she had the privilidge to be childish.
-5- "I should be contacted by one of the masters soon though, and in a day or two, at a given time, you will be able to speak to one of them, if you would wish. I am sure they want to speak to you."

Still apprehensive about this meeting, the Deputy Administrator looks to the twi'lek former . . .and still current (?) slave. "Very well, I will reserve judgement on this matter until we are able to make contact with your master. Until then, enjoy our accommodations as a guest of the academy, and you are free to contact your master. Is there anything else you might want to discuss over this meal, Number 5?" Still getting use to the lack of a name, she just needs to use it more.

-5- "Yes, a freebee from the master."
She then did something very not dining room etiquette. She reached in between her breasts and pulled out a parchment. The paper was rolled together well, and her hidingplace perfectly hid the item. She rolled it out, and Isra could clearly see a womans face in mandalorian armour. It was painted well, although not a perfect work. The armour was well ilustrated but the face could need some more details.
-5- "Every one of my sisters has a skill. Some can hack, some sing, dance, pilot, repair, cook or hunt. I can paint. This woman needs to be found, for your and our sake. She is the key to the mandalorian leadership. I only saw her once, that is why the picture is like this, I had to paint it from memmory with the help of my sisters who saw her, but this is a lead none the less. I know that Yavin is hard to reach, but you surely have a way with the Force, you need to get your jedi friends to look into this. Search for her on the battlefield, in the front, we are searching for her behind the front. She may be one of the ways to win this war with less bloodshed then what it allready has taken."
She didnt know it, but the woman she looked for was Sidara Vercopa. And what Isra didnt know is that she was Corr Vhetts woman. 5-s tone turned more casual from her seriousness and continued her carnivorious lunch.
-5- "And your meat is overcooked."
She giggled, meaning this as a joke.
-5- "In all seriousness, I dont want to be a freeloader while I am here. Not because of honor or whatever, I just hate to be bored. If you give me a task, any task really, I will keep myself occupied and out of trouble, as if I was a new servant or whatever that you people keep here to cook your food and wash your undies. Less questions for you, and less questions for me. I will be gone a couple hours around noon though, walking the woods."

Entering the dining hall, Jedi Knight Kay'li Raganella glanced around the nearly-empty room for a moment, then walked quickly over to the stimcaf dispenser, and poured herself a foaming cup of the energizing drink. Stirring in a little cream, she turned her attention once more to the occupants of the room as she raised the foam cup to her lips. Over near the far end of the buffet line, she caught sight of her fellow Knight Isra Bel, the Academy's deputy administrator, engaged in conversation with a Twi'lek stranger. The strange woman was not dressed in typical Jedi robes, nor did Kay'li sense an especially strong force presence from her. Her curiosity pricked, the young woman crossed the hall, her outer green cloak swirling gently with each light footstep.
"Hello, Isra." She said with a smile. "Who is this?" Taking a seat at the table shared by the Hapan and the Twi'lek, she glanced at the parchment which the visitor had just unrolled, and was somewhat surprised to see an apparently hand-painted portrait of a Mandalorian woman. The Mandalorian's facial features were much less detailed than the armor itself, but neither were familiar to the young Jedi watchwoman. Not having heard much of the conversation that preceded her arrival, she wondered if this had any connection to the war brewing on the Rim, or if it was just another of the many missing persons cases that seemed to find their way to the Jedi Order.
