Rendili orbit (after the occupation of the planet by the First Order)
The shipyards of Rendili were busy as usual, when the Wisp entered the orbit of the planet. Accompanied by a Gozanti-Cruiser, which delivered new Tibanna Gas the Vindicator-class cruiser was so far imposing, even for a minor ship of the First Order. Eventually the Gonzanti would soon leave the safety of the escort ship and make its way towards the planet's surface. Under the watchful eyes of Rear Admiral Jenia Kasalle, who watched the scene from afar her Lambda-class shuttle it slowly began to vanish, as it came closer towards one of the many imperial cargo bays on the planet, where it would transfer its cargo safely towards an armoured truck. Kasalle knew the mission already in brief details, as she would meet here the first time Captain Harris Wendel, a young man from Kuat within his mid-twenties. From what she had read within his profile, Wendel was a diligent although sometimes a careless man when it comes to fulfilling his orders. One of many Navy officers, who got appointed because of their boldness within certain events and payments of his parents towards the academy. Nontheless most of his missions, which were mostly cargo missions were so far successful.
Jenia shook for a brief moment her head in thoughts of what to expect, when the Lambda-Shuttle reached the small hangar of the Wisp. To her surprise, Wendel was already waiting at her outside the ship, having apparently prepared some sort of Stormtrooper parade for her. The Rear Admiral only rolled her eyes, when the shuttle had landed, as now she kinda knew what type of officer Captain Wendel apparently was. Without a word she left the shuttle in order to prepare herself for the worst.
"Ah, Admiral Kasalle, it is an honor for me to see you aboard the Wisp", Wendel began as he gently offered Jenia his arm with the best widest smile, the freshly-shaven man with his darkbrown hair, which featured his half-bald head, could come up with, "I hope your journey wasn't too unpleasant, although I admitt, that I actually expected you to bring your flagship with you." "First of all, Captain Wendel, I wish your troops to go back on their routine, as we don't need parades during a convoy mission", Jenia replied coldly, while making clear that she wasn't amused about the officer's little play in order to impress her, "And secondly, yes, the Banshee is currently docked at Kuat because of new recruitments into my new fleet, along with the usual procedures and responsibilities, which come with a Victory-II-class Star Destroyer in terms of management. Hence why I have the time to inspect the captains under my command. You have been told by the Imperial command already that the Wisp will be one of our fleet's escort ships?" "Oh, uhm... of course, madame, and sure, madame!", Wendel brought out, as his wide grin vanished briefly in order to show a slightly worried expression on his face, before he only quickly nodded towards the squadron captain to do as the Rear Admiral told, "I ... uhm... my apologizes, if I have insulted you. But yes, I was told about my assignment as a part of your fleet and will gladly take this opportunity in order to make both you, the Emperor and the First Order proud! It is an honor for me to serve finally under an Admiral, whom I can show my true potential. You must kinda understand, that these cargo missions were kinda frustrating to do, when considering that there are better opportunities for a Vindicator-cruiser in open battle against the Galactic Alliance scum. May I show you around the ship?" "I'm well aware how a Vindicator-class cruiser functions, Captain", was her cold reply, as she already was frustrated by this nonsense talk, "Just lead me to the bridge and there you can tell me any of your problems with cargo missions." "Uhm... of course, madame!", was all, Wendel brought out before he lead Kasalle slightly more silent towards the bridge.
Meanwhile the Gozanti-cruiser would arrive eventually at its destination and transfer the valuable shipment of five carbonite blocks, full of Tibanna gas, into an armoured truck, where four Imperial security men would already wait to deliver it safely towards a weapon facility, outside of Edethor.

As the Wraith made it's way into orbit, Roark was standing in the cockpit, leaning forward. He saw the open expanse of space before him. He knew that the Equinox would be appearing at any moment to recieve them before they hightailed it out of the system. They knew that by Imperial protocol, they would be intercepted if they waited around for too long. The Equinox appeared out of hyperspace as if right on cue. The two ships quickly docked and the carbonite was quickly transferred to the larger corvette. Locke made his way up onto the bridge, and was about to give the order to jump to hyperspace when the Wisp crossed in front of them alongside it's support ships. "Oh dear. Prepare all the weapon systems and start calculating a jump! Once they open fire on us, we're dead!"

"... and that's so far how we organize ourselves here on the bridge of the Wisp, madame", Captain Wendel ended his bridge tour jovial, while Jenia merely stood there with her arms crossed, her expression being so far still neutral. Over the last hour she had listened to Captain Harris Wendel's report regarding the Vindicator-Class cruiser he commanded and his crew, thus making it painful for the Rear Admiral, as she noticed soon enough, that Wendel wanted to get on her good side for probably more than just fleet matters. Looking at the salesman-grin of the half-bald officer, she was only again tempted to shake her head, if it wasn't for his reputation and his records so far. Kasalle had already seen a lot of bad Imperial Navy officers within her carrier, witnessed them from her point of view as an Ensign to the point where she was appointed a Rear Admiral. And yet, despite his behavior, Harris Wendel was a capable man. Diligent, dutiful, charismatic - the only mistake she saw was that the man didn't knew his place and had grown overconfident, now that he was promoted to being more than just being a regular captain, whom you sent out to keep the First Order's cargo safe. As much as she held a grudge against him, Jenia realized that Wendel was pretty much clay within her hands - a man, who can still be shaped into a useful tool within her navy. Yet she hoped that the opportunity to show him his mistakes would eventually come soon enough, thus bringing her up to a point which still bothered her.
"A well-functioning crew on a well maintained cruiser is something I value indeed within my fleet, Captain Wendel", she replied diplomatic, while being seemingly curious, "Yet I am still surprised that you volunteerly greet the opportunity to serve within my fleet as an escort ship while seemingly complaining about escort missions. I fear that I don't understand your reasoning." To some point it pleased her, that the captain had grown slightly hesitant, whenever Jenia questioned anything he previously said - it was a sign of slow progress, although there was still his annoying self-confidence in any word he said. "Well, we all come to the point where we wish to serve the Imperial Navy in useful and more exciting ways, madame", Wendel replied somewhat amused, "I mean, you probably just saw the records. Cargo mission after cargo mission! Escort Tibanna gas here, escort ores there, escort this, escort that! I think it is a waste of time as nothing ever happens. As you have seen yourself, I just delivered my cargo as usual to the planet and the job is done! Ha! What excitement!" The Rear Admiral mustered him sceptical. "So you would say your presence alone kept pirates away, while it made you grow tired?", she inquired seemingly friendly, "In a way that you would say joining up with my fleet will provide you with more exciting missions?" "I... guess, yeah. A man with my qualities has barely any problems to deal with lousy pirates. Trust me, Admiral, with me you found the best man you can have to teach this Galactic Alliance scum a lesson! Mark my words, that I will proof these words in near future." Having nearly the need to strangle Wendel for his green attitude, unworthy of an Imperial officer, another crewmember showed up, seemingly in a hurry. "Rear Admiral Kasalle, Captain Wendel, there was a heist on the planet!", the ensign reported quickly,"The Tibanna gas we escorted was on a truck, which was attacked by pirates nearly half an hour ago! An orbital controll of leaving ships was degreed by the planetary gouvernor!" Seeing the sudden surprise in the captain's face nearly made the Rear Admiral smirk, although she restrained herself from doing so - for that the situation was more than serious. "So much for escort missions being an easy task, Captain Wendel. Now is your time to proof your worth."
As the Wisp approached the docks of Rendili it, Jenia noticed the change within the atmosphere of the crew. The Harris Wendel who previously boasted around how capable he was with handling the usual routine was seemingly replaced by a new Captain Wendel, who seemingly sweated as he bellowed order after order to his subordinates, when it came to contacting and halting cargo ships, which attempted to leave the shipyards of Rendili already. Probably it was one of few moments, where he realized that this was not a routine job and that this was not only about impressing his superiors. At the same time, Rear Admiral Kasalle studied the protocol, which the Imperial Navy recieved from scout troopers upon the planet regarding the heist. Four security officers were killed during an ambush, while the carbonite containers were stolen by brutal yet efficent means, another scout trooper, who was involved into the protocol measures perished by an unforseen trap, which was left behind. Jenia mused over what she read, as although she was disgusted by the brutality of the crime, she kinda had to admitt the proficency within the plan. She was already certain that the men for this job were not only professionals, they knew about the security measures of the First Order on this planet. To some point it worried her, as this could mean a security problem in general for the First Order. Looking up in order to inspect the wharfts of Rendili once again, she sighed. If those, whom they hunted, were actual pirates or smugglers with a ship, they probably wouldn't make it easier for her and the crew of the Wisp. All she could count on in her situation were the mistakes of the cargo thefts. And she knew that this would be likely to happen.
"Captain, Crusader-class ship on 10 o'clock leaving the dockyards!", suddenly the voice of an Imperial officer was heard, "They ignore our warnings!" "Prepare TIE's for attacking the vessel-", Wendel said immidiately, before he was interrupted by Kasalle's sharp voice. "Order refused, we don't send out TIE fighters against a Crusader", was the cold reply, to which the officer's immidiately reacted, "Open fire once we are in range. All energy to the front lasers and cannons, rest goes into engines and shields. If we want to grab them with tractor beams, we need to take out their weaponry and be faster than them." "Aye, madame!" Somewhat apologizing Jenia looked towards a perplex Captain Wendel. "I apologize, Captain, but this is not a routine mission like escorting some cargo", she remarked cold , "Corvettes like these are designed to hunt and kill smaller star fighters. We don't need more men to die this day unnecessarily just because you want to proof me a point. Thus can you promise me: No more routine mistakes?" "A-aye, no more routine mistakes, Rear Admiral!", was all he brought out before he breathed deeply to calm himself down.
Thus, Jenia watched now slightly more relaxed, although still focused, how the hunt would unfold, as the Wisp was now in range of the corvette, who had just left the docks. Jenia knew that this was now the moment of truth, as the Vindicator-cruiser and its crew definitly wanted to shine now.

As the cruiser approached the small corvette, the Equinox took a hard bank to port, toward the engines of the Wisp. They knew like all Imperial vessels, the Vindicator-Class had a glaring weak spot at the back of the ship. The laser cannons that covered the ship opened fire upon the Vindicator, having little to no effect. They also dipped below the long, thin profile of the ship, as there were no ventral cannons to defend the bottom of the ship. As they crossed to the rear of the cruiser, they were preparing to make a directed attack on the rear of the ship to slightly damage it before they jumped away.

"Rear Admiral, they're moving in our direction!" "What?", was all Jenia brought out, as she was for a moment confused, "This is their certain death as it will lead them straight into tractor beam range... unless..." Her eyes widened as she realized what her foes probably planned. She had read the report. She knew these criminals were prepared. They somehow knew the weaknesses within the Imperial security system! "All energy on the shields and engines right NOW!", Jenia commanded without hesitation although as loud as possible, "They're aiming for our hyperdrive engines!" Without any hesitation, the command of the Rear Admiral was accepted right the moment the Equinox began to dive under the hull of the Vindicator-class cruiser. Although allowing now the smaller corvette to get behind the Vindicator and thus getting further away from the heavily armed cruiser in the same process, the engines of the Wisp began to fasten up, while energy from the weapon systems was now transfered over to the bottom shield. "Would they even be able to damage it?", Captain Wendel asked worried, although serious, "It's just a cruiser against a corvette, right?" "If you want to keep your engines and hunt after them, Captain Wendel, you should trust me" "But they'll get ahead of us now - we need to turn around in order to catch up with them." The Rear Admiral sighed, just the moment, when shots of the Equinox hit the underside of the imperial ship, just as predicted. "This is not a routine job, captain - so yes, it will be harder now to catch up with them. Yet it's our best option." On the radar, Jenia briefly saw that the Equinox was now leaving the underside of the ship - their attempt in damaging the Hyperdrive of the Wisp had failed as only minimal damage was taken. Yet the cruiser was forced to fly an entire U-turn if they wanted to continiue the hunt, thus buying the pirates some time. Nontheless Jenia wasn't willing to give up now. With the might of the First Order within her rear, she doubted that the pirates would remain longer than needed within the system. All she could hope for was, that the distance between her and the Crusader-corvette didn't grew too large. Maybe there was still a chance to prevent these criminals from making it to hyperspace.
Once the broadside was able to aim into direction of the Equinox, Jenia gave the order again to fire upon the corvette by the might of various turbolaser banks. Nothing however, what would stop it, even if it took a few hits.

As they looped around the ship, they took fire from the Wisp. Roark had taken control of the ship, executing a sharp turn to keep out of the front of the ship. They looped around to the rear of the ship and maxed out the throttle, using their massive speed advantage to stay out of the range of the cruiser, while attempting to escape the gravity well of Rendili. Navigation Officer "9 Kilometers to the jump point!" "At our speed, we'll have covered 7 kilometers before they turn their ship around!" Roark was rather tense, but he was confident in the abilities of his crew. He knew the Imperials wouldn't be able to catch up.

As the Wisp put all efforts into making their turn as fast as possible, Roark Locke would be right in his estimated time assumption, as the cruiser was facing the direction of the escaping Crusader-corvette with a large distance gap between them. On the bridge Captain Wendel gave his officers the command to follow the pirate vessel as quickly as possible. The Rear Admiral though remained kinda calm. "Which system would you choose in their position, Captain Wendel?", she asked him after a while, checking so far the monitor screens. "Pardon me, madame?", the more than exhausted Imperial answered, "Oh... you're probably right. They will escape via Hyperdrive, won't they?" Kasalle nodded, being so far glad, that the officer was now showing his true capabilities. He was beginning to learn. "I knew it already the moment I gave the command to protect our engines, Captain Wendel, yes - you know now as well, why we might possibly need it." She then began to continiue with her thoughts, still watching the Crusader-corvette as it still attempted to leave the graviton well around the dockyards in the distance. "They have multiple choices where to actually hide, although some routes might be more obvious one - I presume, they will head straight to Corellia, as it's not only one of the closest systems in range, but also one under the gouvernment of another Alliance-affiliated territory. We won't be able to persue them by going this direction." "So you assume the Corellians might be behind it?" "Not necessarily, Captain. I'm most certain that the man, leading these pirates or at least one of them must have expanded knowledge of our security systems and probably as well about our military forces. They knew the route of the Rendili security truck, they knew how to damage the car and where to find the Tibanna gas and they also knew how to damage a Vindicator-class cruiser in the best efficent way, wouldn't I have immidiately reacted. The Galactic Alliance and most of their captains don't have this particular knowledge, especially not about our planetary security forces. I think we're dealing here with a former internal problem. Something, where Intel can help us further. But yes, the possibility of a Corellian plot is always given - it just seems unlikely for me, as they would have chosen more strategically important targets." "But in either means, we lost them?" "Depending on their status within Corellian territory, yes, we might have.", the Rear Admiral concluded cold, yet not angered, "Yet, there is another likely destination, they will choose, should they fear trouble with the Corellians. They won't likely take the route to Cato Neimodia, because there's a hyperlane inbetween, thus risking to meet with other Imperial vessels, who were contacted about the Rendili incident. Neither will they move through Imperial space unless they really want to get caught. And Froz is currently under quarentine from what I had heard - those, whom we chase know this probably as well. No, I think they might travel to the Duro system, as it's currently the safest passage for a pirate ship, hunted by Imperials, if they want to avoid trouble with the Corellians as well." The captain nodded, so far understanding. "So we're heading for the Duro system in order to ensure that we did our best to catch these pirates, even though it's our second-best chance?" Jenia Kasalle nodded, being once again glad, that Captain Wendel showed now his true values as an Imperial captain. "Indeed", she replied, while she saw far ahead the Crusader-corvette preparing itself for the hyperjump already, "Set course to Duro-system. From there on, we will see how to continiue." "Understood, madame!"
And as the Equinox began to already leave the system, Jenia began to wonder if she would be right with her assumptions. Whoever had planned this entire heist, he was now her enemy. Yet an enemy she respected.

The corvette had successfully dodged the larger Imperial cruiser. A collective cheer went up from the crew as they raced away, leaving the Imperials scrambling to turn their ship around. Roark punched in the coordinates for Duro. They were limping, as their hyperdrive had been damaged by the Imperial ship. They would stop there before flying to Corellia. Yet even while the ship jumped to hyperspace, and the crew cheered around him, he was worried. Worried that the enemy ship would follow him...

Rendili StarDrives Subsidiary Hangar - Occupation of Rendili
Hearing the pilot of the shuttle he, along with four members of the small security force maintained by the shipyards and several civilian personnel they hope to evacuate before the First Order has completely assumed control of the shipyards, curse after he has completed an abbreviated preflight sequence and is preparing to lift off, Gervasio Trevisan asks, "What is it?"
Pointing to the results of the sensor scan he had just performed, the shuttle pilot says, "There's two Vic IIs, and an Assassin-class corvette waiting out there. One of the Vics sent a shuttle, probably chock full of Stormies, out that is heading to the main hangar."
Cursing, Gervasio asks, "I need a no BS assessment, is there any chance we can make it to the planet?"
Grimacing with a shake of his head, the pilot says, "Realistically? No. They'd either blast us all to pieces or tractor us in. I mean, best case scenario, a few of us make it through, but if they send TIEs after us . . . game over."
Were it just himself and his men that were risking their lives, Gervasio might take the risk all the same, death in battle preferable to being taken captive, but with so many civilian lives hanging in the balance, he feels it is his duty to try and protect them, even if it means they all wind up captives of the First Order. Shoulders slumping, Gervasio says in a resigned tone, "Power the shuttles down. We can't risk the civilians, so we'll surrender and hope for the best."
As the pilot begins powering the shuttle down, Gervasio informs his men of his decision, and then has them begin taking the civilians off of the shuttles, moving them to a nearby maintenance bay and leaving three of his men with them. Asking four of his troops to remain with him in the hangar, their sidearms holstered, Gervasio waits for the First Order troops to arrive so that he can negotiate for the release of the civilians.

Rendili StarDrives - Occupation of Rendili (After StarDrives have been secured)
Colonel Berchtold, The First Order Civil Affairs Officer in charge of ensuring the expedient return to full operation capacity of Rendili StarDrives knows that he will have his work cut out for him shortly after, once the as yet unidentified force that had plagued the commanding officers and Stormtroopers of the Heilwig and Wibeke , the First Order ships initially sent to secure Rendili StarDrives, had successfully eluded capture and escaped from Rendili, arriving and assessing the situation for himself. The most pressing or concerning bit of business Berchtold learns he will need to address in the course of his assessment is the sabotage of the StarDrive's systems the unidentified force had perpetrated prior to making their escape,
The civilians and members of the StarDrive's security force, taken into custody and separated from one another, were of little help to Berchtold, the civilians too shaken to be of much help while the security force unaware of precisely what the unidentified force had done to the StarDrive's systems as they had been occupied with trying to protect the civilians from harm. Berchtold decides to take a two pronged approach to tackling the problem presented by the sabotage, assigning a team of First Order Information Technology Specialists to attempt to deal with the virus and lost, deleted, or corrupted data it has caused, while also tasking a team of First Order Civil Affairs troops to locate and secure Rendili StarDrive information security officers and employees so that their expertise can be called upon. Berchtold is also reasonably confident that Rendili StarDrives has offsite backups of any data vital to production of its products, and so also assigns Civil Affairs troops to verifying the existence of offsite backups and then securing them.
As Berchtold begins his task, Captain Eilert Hirsh and the crew of his Vindicator-class cruiser, the Heilwig, dock at the Guardian, one of Rendili's captured Bavos-II heavy duty military space platforms so that repair of the cruiser can begin once sufficient First Order personnel are stationed on the platform. The extent of the damage to the Assassin-class corvette, the Wiebeke, requires that at least the initial repairs begin at Rendili StarDrive.

D'lyse's eyes opened - and for a moment there he wasn't sure they had - all he saw was black. His head was swimming and before his vision could fully return to him he saw in his mind's eyes the face of his Captain shouting at him to get to his feet. He tried to speak - tried to call out 'trooper down' - but no words came from his lips just a grunt and a pained moan. He didn't know what had happened couldn't even remember the last thing he had been doing - he didn't know where he was - and he wasn't even sure he was still alive before the darkness closed in on him again and the fever dreams took hold of him... and he saw...
"Follow orders... get to the hanger and get out..." Altair shouldered his rifle and checked the charge on his disruptor before moving towards the exit of the control room - his intention of course to go back and find D'lyse whose biosuit had just failed usually indicating death. His tactical team had orders to get the information from the main computer and get to the evacuation site and yet they were all simply looking back and forth to one another wondering who would be the first one to confirm orders and take charge. In this situation it would have been D'lyse - and now three of them all held the same rank. In those moments of hesitation Stitch had moved across the room as Altair was checking his weapons and raised the butt of his own rifle and brought it down hard on Altair's neck causing him to fall to the ground with a large THUD. "Captain Altair is hereby unfit for command by Medical Order... I am taking command. Liz - finish the download - get what you can... we're leaving. Fuze - collect the Captain would you and don't forget the Disruptor. A discharge from command is going to be bad enough, but if he loses that he'll kill us all." Stitch moved towards the door and began rigging the explosive they had set to explode with any power surge attempting to open the doorway.
"CAPTAIN!"
D'lyse shot awake in a sudden surge of adrenaline the fever dream had given him - his eyes still swimming in the delirium of the vision he was having - hallucination or not it seemed real - it seemed as though he was watching it all play out before him. He couldn't focus enough to pull himself out, and even then he was losing focus - losing control on reality and slipping back into the dream.
Fuze ran up the ramp of the docked Fury-class interceptor carrying their Captain just as the last of the civilians that could be evacuated were being loaded onto the Corvette - the last Hammerhead they had with Lucian and Jez at the helm. The other Hammerhead - Jez' ship was too heavily damaged and had to be abandoned - rigged to explode as soon as they left making this auxiliary hanger impossible to use. Stitch made his way to the cockpit of the interceptor and passed orders for Janus to leave at once. Within moments the two ships pulled away - the explosion from the third covering their escape as they pushed towards open space plotting their jump to hyperspace.
D'lyse eyes opened once more. It was impossible to tell how much time had passed or where he was. All he saw was black, but it was a different sort of black this time, and finally his memory began to rebuild itself and he remembered the battle in the hanger - the explosion from the grenade going off... the alarms on his biosuit blaring - the bitter taste of copper and iron in his mouth - the pain of at least three broken ribs - a shattered arm and a headache that swore to a concussion at the very least. All the adrenaline had drained from his body and all he felt was pain and regret...

Occupation of Rendili - Alliance Retreat
Operating under the assumption that the First Order will be most interested in protecting the StarDrives shipyards and the planet's capital, Alliance Captain Merodach Cherney jumps his MC90 Star Cruiser, the Maebh, from hyperspace into a position over Rendili's eastern hemisphere distant from both the shipyards and Edethor. With only a MC40a light cruiser to hold off any potential opposition while he takes the Maebh down into Rendili's upper atmosphere to pick up the gunship that are ferrying what remains of the ground forces that had been deployed, the other ships in his fleet already having gone on to the rallying point they have selected, Merodach moves closer to the holoprojected depiction of the area around them to watch for any indication that his ship's sensors, or those of the MC40a, detect any sign of First Order patrols.
As the Maebh descends into Rendili's upper atmosphere, the LAAT/i's and other transports that had lifted off when Merodach sent them the message to begin their withdrawal begin making their way towards the MC90's hangar bay.
Aboard one of the LAAT/i's, Arduino looks on as Berdine tends to Vashity's injuries and, almost as much to distract himself from the tension of waiting to see if they will be able to make it to the Maebh's hangar bay without encountering any resistance as out of concern for the Jedi Investigator responsible for the intel that brought them on the ill-fated mission to Rendili, asks, "How is she?"

Occupation of Rendili - Alliance Retreat
Cherney's selection of a re-entry point proves fortuitous, the nearest First Order vessel to where the MC90 and MC40a emerge from hyperspace patrolling far enough away that the Alliance ships are out of its effective sensor range. The Vindicator-class cruiser, the Mette, has however, sent several TIE/IN trios out on combat air patrols, and one such trio is near enough to where the Alliance ships return after their defeat that their sensors do pick up the enemy ships.
Keeping out of the Alliance MC40a's effective weapons range, the TIE/INs contact the captain of the Mette to apprise him of the situation while they remain near enough to the enemy ships to monitor their activity, which is soon revealed to be, as Admiral Sauer had anticipated, the retrieval of the ground forces it had left behind when retreating.
The captain of the Mette, determining from a review of the calculations his helmsman and navigator provide when tasked with determining how swiftly they can alter their course to intercept the Alliance ships, suspects that there will not be enough time to reach effective weapon range based on their calculations, but orders his helmsman to bring them onto an intercept course at full speed all the same on the off chance that the Alliance ships take longer than anticipated to retrieve their troops and jump back into hyperspace.

Occupation of Rendili - Alliance Retreat
Merodach acknowledges his sensor officer's report that three TIE fighters have been detected and are maneuvering to stay out of weapons range with a grunt, knowing the fighters are most likely on patrol, sent by a carrier ship that they have almost certainly reported back to. With any luck, Merodach thinks, the carrier will be too far away to hinder their retreat. Studying the holoprojected map of the area around the Maebh when, moments later, the sensor officer reports a new contact on an intercept course, Merodach sighs in relief after determining that they will be able to make the jump to hyperspace well before the Vindicator gets close enough to engage them.
Once the LAAT/i's and other transports have reached the safety of the Maebh's hangar bay, Merodach has his helmsman take them back up into orbit, and then adjust course and max out their speed to make it out of Rendili's gravity well. Once the Maebh has left the planet's gravity well, it jumps to hyperspace, the MC40 light cruiser that had been supporting it following suit an instant later.

First Order Information Technology Specialists and Rendili StarDrive information security officers and employees, under the firm guidance of Colonel Berchtold, The First Order Civil Affairs Officer in charge of overseeing the management of the shipyards, work diligently together to restore Rendili StarDrives to full operational capacity in the days after the occupation of Rendili. As Berchtold had suspected, offsite systems and data backups were maintained by Rendili StarDrives, and had been secured quickly once the board members of the shipyards had been assured that, with obvious changes in the way profits of the shipyards would be distributed in the future, their lives and lifestyles would not change too drastically now that Rendili has become a part of the Empire. Security for the shipyards would, going forward, be provided by Stormtroopers rather than the private company which had previously seen to it, and Berchtold was accompanied by other Civil Affairs personnel to ensure that the day to day operations of the shipyards were managed efficiently, an arrangement that might not always be necessary, but which was for the time being a necessary one.
As the shipyards damaged or corrupted systems were purged and restored, or replaced outright when necessary, repair of the Assassin-class corvette, the Wiebeke, continue, the shipyards civilian workers and other personnel having been returned to work once the predictable chaos accompanying Rendili's occupation had settled down enough that the new reality of becoming a part of the Empire had begun to set in for the majority of the populace. The Wiebeke's captain and most of its crew had perished in the battle to take Rendili, and so as the severely damaged vessel was repaired the search for their replacements began as well so that, when repaired, the ship would soon be returned to service. The Victory II-class Star Destroyer, the Suenja, accompanied by the Assassin-class corvette, the Kasimira, begin patrolling the vicinity of space near the shipyards, with TIE fighters being continually deployed to expand the vigilance provided by the battle group.
Rendili's captured Bavos-II heavy duty military space platforms were restored to operation capacity soon after Rendili had been occupied, neither having been damaged greatly in the fighting, with First Order officers, personnel, and Stormtroopers being transferred to Rendili to man the platforms which would be integral to the orbital defenses. Repair of the Vindicator-class cruiser, the Heilwig, docked at one of the platforms, the Guardian, began after the battle for Rendili, with other First Order troops and officers being sent from other First Order held worlds to replace those that fell in battle.
In orbit over Edethor, the Nebula-class Star Destroyer, the Kunigunde, patrols, accompanied by the Vindicator-class cruisers, the Renate and the Mette. Continuously rotating TIE trios routinely sent from each ship extend the scope of their patrol. The Victory II-class Star Destroyer, the Adaleiz, patrols over Rendili's northern hemisphere, while the Vindicator-class cruiser, the Elke, does so over the southern hemisphere, both ships routinely sending out their own TIE fighter patrols to ensure that Rendili is always diligently protected.

Once repairs of the Heilwig have been completed, its crew compliment replenished to full once more by First Order personnel transferred to Rendili for that purpose, the Vindicator-class cruiser, accompanied by the Assassin-class corvette, the Kasimira, move away from the Bravos-II heavy duty military space platform where the repairs had been made and then wink from view as they both enter hyperspace, bound for Balmorra.
The Victory II-class Star Destroyer, the Suenja, accompanied by the Vindicator-class Cruiser, the Elke, moves away from the shipyards, also entering hyperspace, though they are bound for Brentaal IV. The Assassin-class Corvette, the Wibeke, returned to service with a new captain and crew after having been severely crippled in the battle to take Rendili, takes over the patrol of the vicinity of space near the shipyards, continually deploying trios of TIE/In starfighters to expand the scope of its watch. The shipyards have nearly been returned to full operational capacity thanks to the efforts of the First Order Information Technology Specialists and Rendili StarDrive information security officers and employees under the watchful eye and firm hand of Colonel Berchtold.
the Nebula-class Star Destroyer, the Kunigunde, continues to patrol, accompanied by the Vindicator-class cruiser, the Renate, in orbit over Edethor while the Victory II-class Star Destroyer, the Adaleiz patrols over Rendili's southern hemisphere with the Vindicator-class cruiser, the Mette.

Stirring into wakefullness when the pilot of the passenger transport announces that they have been cleared to land, Bilhan Admoni yawns with a stretch, rubs his eyes, and then massages his left shoulder to work the stiffness from it. Returning from a successful business trip to Coruscant that resulted in his landing a client that the packaging supply firm he works for has been courting for months, Bilhan is all but certain that he will finally be promoted to partner in the firm, a position that he has been working steadily towards for years.
Fortunate enough to be among the citizens of Rendili that were, by and large, unaffected by the First Order's occupation, Bilhan has never paid a great deal of attention to politics, and perhaps because his life has essentially remained unaltered by the First Order's presence, does not feel as though he needs to change the habit any time soon; First Order or no First Order, Bilhan believes, companies and individuals will need to ship things, and someone to provide them with the supplies to do so.
As he has dinner plans with some friends to celebrate the success of his trip, Bilhan is glad that he was able to sleep during the hyperspace journey to Rendil, and thoughts of the First Order are very far from his mind as the passenger transport begin to make its way into the planet's upper atmosphere.

With the conclusion of Coruscant's annexation, the Rendili Shipyards would continiue their regular schedule, as the core systems were now fully and de jure within imperial hand. Patrols around the system have increased since the last pirate raid on recommendation of Rear Admiral Kasalle, who pursued the culprits, as the Rendili sectors borders were now in closer range to the Corellian Coalition, a gouvernment hostile towards the First Order's ambitions. Thus it wasn't too surprising that ships produced at the local shipyards were assigned straight to the local Navy command in order to ensure the sector's safety from both interior and exterior threats.

From: FO High Command. Muunilist. To: COREWRLDS_RENDILI; Shipyards Cmdt ------------------OFFICIAL REQUISITION------------- (Following to be decoded by Ranking Intelligence commander ONLY) [the following is Double coded] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>BEGIN Greetings Commandant,
The High Command instructs the shipyards to begin manufacture of a hibridium cloaking device, based on the attached Bilbringi schematics. Once a prototype is created, it is to be tested. Once it has been tested and receives High Command approval, the FO will order seven (7) of the cloaking devices. To be delivered to the shipyards in orbit over Rendili, along with knowledgeable technicians to install the devices.
SINCERELY, [redacted] HIGH COMMAND. Muunilist.
[attached schematics indicate the cloaking device must fit a specific size and power output of a Raider Class Corvette.]
>>>END
With the appropriate transmission from FO High Command, the Rendili Shipyards begin manufacture of the prototype Hibridium Cloaking Device compatible with a Raider Class Corvette.

Six ships emerge from hyperspace, being pulled by hyperspace tugs. They are the 6 ships requiring the cloaking device modifications.
TASK FORCE 3 - “Imperial Raiders” (24pts) x6 Raider class corvettes 150m. [modified with cloaking devices, exchanging turbo-lasers with torpedoes, Diamond-Boron missiles] (6(4)pts)
The ships are pulled by tugs to the Rendili docks and crews get to work.
The prior 6 Twin heavy laser cannon turrets on each ship were removed and replaced with 6 forward facing torpedo/missile launchers. The light single turbolasers were replaced with 2 quad laser point defense turrets. The single Ion cannons were replaced with one light turbolaser with a 180 degree forward firing arc. Both the point-defense lasers and light turbolaser were wired to be inoperable and without power while the ship was cloaked. They would have to charge up once the chip decloaked. Only the torpedoes could be fired while the ship was cloaked. These were commerce raiders and ambush weapons. The paltry energy weapons were not meant to be main armament, but to be used to finish off unarmed escape pods, shuttles, after they had disabled or destroyed a victim. If the Corvettes were forced to uncloak, by a superior foe, they would very likely be destroyed.
