Jake looked up and over from his own reading just as he was about to be addressed by Betsy. He got up and promptly walked toward the hallway to see to where she was giving directions. He looked back over to her when she was done giving them, and responded, with an appreciative smile.
Gratitude.
As she walked back to reception, he made his way to Ice's office, knocking twice as to let her know he was there to be received when she was ready.

Meeting Thomas' gaze, Lyssa smiled slightly before pursing her lips as if in deep thought. Arching an eyebrow, she smiled slightly. "I think we'll start the tour on this floor. If you will all follow me, please...."
With a wave of her hand she motioned for them to follow her as she started off in the direction of the Emergency Room, presumably with the visiting doctors following. By the time the tour ended they had visited the ER hangar bays, the ER within the RDMC itself, the surgical suites, the floors with the patients rooms, the pediatrics ward, the rooms that held the bacta tanks, the ICU/critical care units, the neurology department, the cardiology department, and even the cafeteria. She had tried to cover all of the important departments in the tour, but if she had missed anything they may have wanted to see, or ask questions about, she was confident that one of them would speak up. When the tour was completed, and it had taken close to four hours, they all ended up back in the conference room they had started in. Lyssa had explained the processes and procedures in each department as they went along, and answered the pertinent questions the visiting medical personnel asked. All in all, she felt the walk around the hospital went well. Turning to the doctors and nurses with pleasant smile, she spoke.
"If you feel there's something that I didn't cover on the tour, then please feel free to ask. We would like you all to be comfortable enough to question any one of us about how we conduct procedures here. We're here to learn from each other and if you think there may be a better, or easier, way to go about treating a patient then by all means make suggestions, ask questions, give opinions."
She narrowed her eyes the tiniest bit, looking thoughtful for a moment, before continuing with a minute hint of humor. "You may want to be careful around Nurse Sarah though. It seems like most of her consultations always end up in one of the janitors closets...." Though the "warning" came off as a teasing sentiment, she was only half joking about this little tidbit and if the MedStar personnel had the mind to question pretty much any of the RDMC's medical staff they would have the same sentiments....especially the medical crew of a certain Chiss medical ship.

Shedo Anor walked through the cold lifeless doors that lead into the reception area of the RDMC, taking in the sight of the pristine interior of a building which many would have considered beautiful, however, by his very nature, Shedo was unable to fully appreciate it for what it was. Where he came from, everything he used and interacted with was made from organic material, with technology having been labelled sacrilegious by the gods of his people, though some would say it didnt matter much anymore, since he had been cast out by his own people. It was a long story, but not one he wished to dwell on, instead, he chose to be grateful for the fact that he had managed to be given permission to land, despite the rather suspicious attitude that had greeted him.
He could understand however, after all, he was a Yuuzhan Vong, and their presence was very rarely well looked upon since that invasion they had attempted once before. But, he had been willing to comply with their demands of two armed Chiss escorts, whom currently flanked him on either side, with his weapons kept aboard his ship, leaving him with only the Robeskin on his back. He stopped just in front of the reception desk, before his Tizowyrm woke up, so as to allow him to under and speak the common tongue of the people here Greetings, my name is Shedo Anor. I have come to seek an audience with the one they call Ice Matango, I believe your Orbital Control forwarded my request?

Betsy was coming out of the small office behind the reception desk with a fresh cup of caf when she looked over to see, of all things, a Yuuzhan Vong, flanked by two Chiss guards, standing in front of the desk. The Vong, a male dressed only in his Robeskin, was seemingly striped of all other items, including his species usual weapons. The Yuuzhan Vong, a species that had terrorized the galaxy for years a century or two ago, though she couldn't quite remember exactly when at this point because of the shock of seeing a living breathing one standing in front of her. Blinking her eyes a couple of times, not sure if what she was seeing was true, she gently set the cup down on the desk with a raised eyebrow. Then the Vong spoke.Betsy looked from Shedo to the two Chiss guards who nodded their heads letting her know that it was okay for him to seek audience with Ice. Sitting down in front of the holocomputer on her desk, Betsy quickly typed a message to Ice letting the Princess know that the Vond known as Shedo Anor wished to speak with her. Within a moment or two a message was sent back and Betsy looked up with a half smile."Ms. Matango will see you in her office a few moments, Sir. She's just wrapping up a previous meeting. If you'll please wait in the waiting room over there. I'll let you know when she's finished." Betsy motioned toward the waiting area, then studying the Vong for a moment she spoke again. "I have to be honest with you, I have no idea what your people eat or drink, but there's also a variety of foods and drinks in the small kitchenette over there if you wish to have some." She smiled politely, deciding that if this Vong had wanted to do any harm then he probably wouldn't have announced himself first - plus having a couple of Becca's highly trained Chiss guards hovering around him, and numerous other unseen security personnel within the RDMC itself, put her mind further at ease....

For many of his kind, Betsy's brief reaction to his presense would have made them smile and proud, but for Shedo, it was indeed nothing more than a reminder of his people's war like ways that had burned a fear into the other races. On the plus side, it did stop a lot of less reputable folk of the galaxy from bothering him, but it was rare he dealt with such kinds, in fact, he usually avoided it. He gave a short, but respectful, bow to Betsy as she said that Ice would see him soon, before casually waving her her offer of food and drink Thank you, but my people are quite indifferent to it all really... With that, Shedo made his way over to one of the seats, before doing his best to get relatively comfortable in it, a little more so than most due to his sensitivity to inorganic constructs. Meanwhile, the two Chiss guards followed him over and continued their guard over him, with Shedo having no doubt they had been ordered to stick to him until the all clear was given

His statement was aided with a twitch from one hairless eyebrow, & a very slight blush on the part of Dr. Houn.-Yrn Back on track though, I was wondering if your medical personal use Bacta, Kolto or a mix of the two?

Betsy received another message from Ice, letting her know that her previous meeting was over and that it was okay to send the Vong in to speak with her. Getting up from her chair, Betsy walked over to the waiting area and smiled politely at Shedo."Excuse me, Sir, Ms. Matango will see you now." Smiling again, Betsy gave him directions to Ice's office and sent him, with the Chiss guards still accompanying him, on his way.

Shedo rose from his chair and gave a short bow to Betsy, before following the directions she had given him to Ice's office, the two Chiss guards as vigilant as ever as they followed close behind him, still not certain they entirely trusted the Yuuzhan Vong to not pull some underhanded move, but that was the reason they had been assigned to watch him, in case he did try

A couple hours passed before Lana and Lilith arrived to the RDMC, with the pair having agreed to take a slightly more scenic route around the city, before heading to the Medical Center. Lilith exited the landspeeder alone and headed inside to the reception desk, her attire drawing varying degree's of attention as she strided up the desk, pausing briefly behind a couple as they had an inquiry dealt with, before she stepped up to the desk herself I'm here to meet with Princess Matango on behalf of Thyferra.

Continued from here...[ Mirian Santiro | Public Transport | Passenger Seat | Honoghr | Location: RDMC Reception Area ]The driver brought Mirian, Juuma and Han Der right to the Medical Centre, where Mirian took a moment to stare at the magnificent structure in all its glory, before heading into the building, though the young woman kept looking around, as if marvelling at the sights around her. She was in fact, keeping her attention on her surroundings, mindful. For all her mindfulness, Mirian still managed to trip as she stepped out of the vehicle, “D'ouch! I'm okay!” Nobody told her about how clean the transparent sliding doors were either. She thought her path was clear, until she found herself kissing something solid, “I'm bfine!” Rubbing her nose, she finally settled down into a chair, while she waited for someone to come for them after the driver left. To pass the time, she turned to Han Der, “So, how'd you and Juuma meet?”

Han remained a few feet behind Mirian, partly because his stride was shorter, but mostly because she had managed to trip out of the vehicle that had brought them to the medical center, before she walked headfirst into the glass doors. Well, Juuma seemed to have a penchant for choosing them, that much was certain, as he took a seat in the waiting area right next to their new Captain, before she asked how he and Juuma had met, as if it was some grand tale to be told. Truth be told, it was anything but that We met in a bar, he was getting some work done to the sto... x-wing Han suddenly looked around, wondering if anyone had heard that almost slipup We shared some drinks, then some guys started a fight after I told him I needed some dude's leg for something... fun times were had... and by fun, he meant something akin to a giant bar brawl in which they'd high tailed it out of there and ended up over Honoghr

Betsy, the RDMC's head receptionist, came walking quietly into the waiting room and addressed those waiting to meet with various personnel from the RDMC. First looking over to the the liaison, Lady Lilith, from Thyferra, she smiled and spoke.
"Lady Lilith...the Princess is unavailable at the moment but Dr. Alisha Mercotti, head administrator for the RDMC, will be able to meet with you in about half an hour - when she is finished with her current meeting. If that is acceptable for you, of course...."
Turning to the three newcomers in the waiting room, a human woman, a Gungan, and a Jawa....Gahd that sounded like the beginnings of a bad barroom joke....she shook her head very slightly then smiled warmly at the trio as she spoke to them also.
"Someone will be able to meet with you, Captain Santiro, to discuss employing your transport team, within the hour. Is that acceptable?"
Betsy stood, watching all four people in the room now (Lilith, Mirian, Juuma, and Han) waiting for the former two to answer so she could inform her employers of the pending meetings awaiting them.

Lilith looked up as the head receptionist, before giving a nod in response to the woman's inquiry. Whilst she had come to visit the Princess, the main goal was to secure a trade alliance with Honoghr and specifically the RDMC, and if Dr. Mercotti was capable of such a thing, then she had no qualms with it That is perfectly fine. Thank you for your assistance with this.

Walking into the RDMC was no easy matter. Who would have guessed that the galaxies most well known hospital would be busy? Standing in line Xeonon looked around the waiting room at everyone else who was there. No doubt most of these people were locals. People who have injuries not severe enough to warrant it being an emergency but bad enough to not deal with it themselves waited patently. Or he would have seen them had he still had his organic eyes. Since his coming back to life, he had not be able to get cybernetic ones and thus everything he saw was through the force. Various degrees of bright lights stitched together to form a beautiful image. Still he yearned to actually see again.
As time goes by the line gets shorter and shorter, or at least he makes his way towards the end of it. Eventually he makes it to one of the few receptionists on duty. Lowering his cowl he greets her with a smile; which to her would look more like a grimace due to his facial scars.
Afternoon.

While that was a form of relief, it intrigued the former Jedi that he would be so compliant. No, she was more afraid something was cooking in that noggin of his.

"You're very welcome Lady Lilith." Betsy smiled at the Thyferran representative then over to Captain Santiro. "And you're very welcome too, Captain Santiro. Someone with be with you all shortly.
She smiled again taking them all in before turning and walking back to the reception desk. Upon arriving back at the desk she noticed a man standing there. He was scarred and appeared to be blind, one could never tell with forcelings. They always had ways to 'see', Betsy knew for a fact after so many years working with and around them. Giving him a warm smile at his greeting, she walked around to the other side of the desk and faced him.
"Good afternoon, Sir....how can we help you today?"

Juuma had been daydreaming during the entire walk to the waiting room. He noticed his new captain talking to someone, after her and Han spoke for a while. Juuma reached up to scratch his neck as he surveyed the security of the place, in a word tight as fuck. Juuma wasn't comfortable and fingered the knife he had hidden in his jacket. He had two pistols strapped to the small of his back as well, but he realized looking around they wouldn't be of a hell of a lot of use. Walking up behind Miri he leaned forward and whispered in her ear, "Meesa really no like dis, weesa issa atta bombad disadvantage here. Meesa finks weesa needa be real careful."

[ Mirian Santiro | Reception | Waiting Room...Or Something | Honoghr | Location: RDMC Reception Area ] “G'oh!” Mirian lurched forward, not expecting Juuma to speak up so suddenly after being so quiet for so long. The action caused her to smack her forehead into a low beam, knocking her backwards, and suddenly she could see stars. Oh no, I'm touching the Force! was her first panicked thought, but she calmed enough to realize this was the result of another unfortunate accident. The chain of events was far from over, however, as she stumbled back to her feet, she accidentally tripped a doctor with her foot, causing the hapless person to fall over a tray of chemicals being pushed by an orderly, and as Mirian stumbled back away from that, she accidentally knocked over a syringe, right onto the arm of an unconscious patient. Fortunately, the contents were exactly what was needed to save the patient's life.
Quietly and quickly moving away from the scene of sudden chaos, Mirian gently pushed both Juuma and Han against the wall, then leaned back between them. “Careful,” said Mirian, “Yeah, we'll need to be careful.”

Han quickly found himself being pushed up against a wall by his glorious new Captain, after the woman had managed to cause quite the ruckus by simply being startled by Juuma's sudden presence behind her, somehow causing a great deal of damage, and saving a man's life at the same time. Truly the gods had a sense of humour, for this woman was the sheer embodiment of mishaps, although, they somehow seemed to pay off for the better. He turned to look up at her as they said they need to be careful Now I know why this place has so much security...

The three security guards standing near the reception desk watched the trio closely while a med droid and a "living" doctor checked over the patient that had been unfortunate enough to be stuck with a needle from the tray that Captain Santiro had accidentally knocked over. Luckily the syringe had been prepared specifically for that patient so no real harm was done, though it did cause a couple of moments of excitement between the droid and the doctor. After checking the patient over the doctor relaxed a little bit and ordered the med droid to bring the unconscious patient back to their room for close monitoring. As the droid followed the hover gurney down the hallway the doctor turned to make sure that Captain Santiro wasn't injured from the bump to the head she'd taken then he, too, vanished down the hallway in pursuit of the med droid and his patient. The guards also relaxed their stances a little bit once they realized that Captain Santiro and her crew didn't mean any harm and it was just a rather lucky-for-the-patient kind of mishap. Though the guards continued to watch over everyone in the waiting room with a quiet subtlety, they never moved from their posts near the reception desk.
