Bela Vistal Crystal Valley (mid-day)
"There aren't many who do," Bela Vistal was a former Imperial stronghold and after the fall of the Empire, when the New Republic had arisen, it had been largely abandoned over time. Still, there were some who had re-resettled Bela Vistal proper and perhaps over time it would once again become a flourishing economic center. However, it was not a journey that one should lightly undertake alone and on foot. Many predators and dangers still lurked in the woods around the valley itself. "But I desired to see with my own eyes the legendary crystal geyser," Nala replied calmly, with a minute gesture back towards the fountain she had been admiring.
Stepping closer to Yin She'She, she bowed politely and held out the bouquet of flowers she had been collecting, offering her a traditional gift of greeting as was the old Twi'Lek custom. "These are for you," a gentle voice broke the silence. "I am Nalatua'lin, from the Academy of Jedi here on Corellia." she introduced herself and then inquired, "Have you traveled far?" It was not what she wanted to ask, but she did not wish to startle the other woman or make her feel uneasy.
It is an effort for me, one I have not been called upon to make in quite some time. I want nothing more than to ask if she's ok and what has happened to her. But, I do not even know her name. I think she is not from Corellia...but---
The statuesque Healer did not allow herself to become lost in thought, as it would distract her from the present and perhaps cause her to lose the opportunity she sought.

Bela Vistal Crystal Valley (mid-day)
*A comfortable stance later.....*
"Its funny you know, while my stay here has been pleasant, I managed to find this crystal...."
*Something was off by the crystal though it held a dark surge within. Something disturbing. The crystal was unique, but only because it was so far out on the terrain not because it was rare. The crystal and Yin now held a bond, one that she would have to learn to overcome in her future travels and deeds. she placed the crystal in her small side satchel about the size of what a blaster magazine would be. Yin dare not hand over the crystal but she did show it for a brief moment before placing it away in the satchel.*
*She took the flowers and bowed in reply before speaking again as she seemed to of been distracted by her finding.*
"Nalatua'lin? My apologies I am Yin Shey Shey..."
*She smiled and then continued.*
"I have been here for a few days now, I was drawn to this place.... My ship had crashed a week ago and I was forced to fight against some beasts for survival, but managed to...."
*She then stopped a moment as she lost the words and thought due to her injuries of her Lekku. The damage could be seen and the reasoning for her stopping very valid.*

Bela Vistal Crystal Valley (mid-day)
The Twi'Lek Healer had not said what had been her true purpose in coming here. Bela Vistal seemed peaceful enough on the surface that she had started to wonder if perhaps Aleranus' book had been correct in predicting the presence of a much more sinister force in this region. Though, for the past few minutes, she had been feeling uneasy, and been on the verge of summoning Terra and Aleranus. Upon arriving at Bela Vistal they had decided to split up for a short time and recon the area immediately around the old city.
I noted the crystal that the other female held for a moment before placing in a small satchel, and wondered if it was possible for a Smoke Demon to lay dormant in something that small and portable. I would inquire this of Aleranus later, but for now I am not sensing the amount of malevolent evil that hovers around the tome in his possession. Perhaps this is due to the presence of many demons in one prison, and the creature that we are hunting will appear to be weaker for a time.
Nala's lekku twitched in discomfort. "There was no distress beacon?" she inquired gently, before continuing, "We received no words of a ship gone down in this area, otherwise a search and rescue would have been attempted. The woods surrounding the valley can be most dangerous at night, but I am pleased that you survived."
I stepped closer, uncomfortably aware of the pain that tinged Yin's presence in the Force. The physical damage to her lekku is obvious, and as she loses her train of thought in mid-sentence, I find myself wondering how far the damage extends, and whether or not she would be willing to return with us to the academy.
"Have you seen or felt anything," she paused, unsure how exactly to describe what she was looking for, "anything out of the ordinary up here? Like, fear that seems to have no rational basis?"

*Ral flew Forlorn Hope to the coordinates Five had given him back at the academy. He was several hours early, but that gave him time to catch up on ship maintenance. He moved back to the crew quarters which often went unused, and pulled the maintenance hatch for the refresher free. Since he rarely eve had passengers, he needed to reactivate the systems and make sure they were all working correctly.
About three hours later, he finished his work and put the hatch back before walking back into the lounge area. He looked over the whistle Five had given him and shrugged to himself. Who answered to a whistle other then animals? Then Ral began to think about it. He hadn't been given much information about who he was picking up. What if it was an animal? He didnt have the required housing, or even provisions for anything other then a sentient. He cursed and rubbed the back of his head as he moved for the ramp. Once at the foot, he would blow the wistle to see if who, or what, was ready sooner then he had been told.*

The bushes rustked in front of Ral and freaking Pocahontas showed up. Twilek version. She was dirty from head to toe, wore pants and a t-shirt under something that looked like a crudely made puncho of some kind of furry animal. She looked like she had been living out there for weeks. Not to mention the ragged backpack on her back and the huge combat knife in her hand. She stood, and just watched the man on the ramp of his ship. Like a deer looking into the headlights coming at it in 80 miles per hour.

*Ral blinked and almost fell back as the twi'lek came out of bushes. Not that he wasn't expecting someone to show up, but the bush was a new devlopment. He looked the twi'lek over and breathed a slight sigh of relief as he moved away from the ramp, holding up the whistle as he moved closer.*
I take it you are the one Five told me to pick up. You got a name hun?

She shook her head. All banshees start as their Mistress had. Nameless. She walked up to him, never setting away the huge knife.
-?- "Sir, what is the name of a man with long fingers?"
She meant Bateman, it was a way for her to know who sent the man. She is told at least.

Bateman, though do you suppose I would have had the whistle to call you if he wasn't the one who sent me? *Ral looked around a bit.* Do you have all your things? I don't want to hang around too long...And judging from the looks of you, you might want to get on board and clean up, maybe get some food in you.
*Rall stepped to the side and motioned for her to head up the ramp. He was relieved that she was a sentient, but did find it odd she was not at least given a code name for him to call her by. He waited with a reassuring grin painted on his face.*

-?- "Thank you, Sir. My mistress has not come for three days and four nights. I am hungry."
She stomped in. It was clear she was exhausted. She threw her backpack right in Rals cargo bay and ripped off the poncho. The woman had the form of a dancer, but one could not decide under the sweatty dirty cloths she had if she was from a wealthier kind or twi'lek trash. She didnt let go of the knife even when she took off her things.
-?- "Are you able to give medical attention? I sprained my ankle two days ago, have a cut on my back, and suffer ... diarrhea . I dont think I should have eaten the fruit I found."

Bela Vistal Crystal Valley (early morning before the meeting with Yin She'she)
The expedition composed of Nalatua'lin, Terra Kiros, and Aleranus left the Corellian Academy a couple hours before sunrise, choosing to make use of the darkness to navigate the safer and more familiar territory immediately surrounding the Academy before striking out to the east. Nalatua'lin was piloting the speeder, Terra was navigating, and Aleranus---well, he was the one who knew for a certainty what they were hunting in Bela Vistal.
I had been this way before once, but that was a long time ago now. Tchunn and tchinn both reflected my uncertainty in this, as tchunn curls around my shoulderblades and tchinn twitches just above my waist. There are so many different things to take into account here. Terra is a padawan. Aleranus is not even a padawan yet. His upbringing under Ceri Velit troubles me deep in my bones. I do not know if he will be able to keep things together in front of the challenge we may face.

The landing struts of the Phantom ship pressed softly upon the ground. The boarding ramp slowly lowered and the male known only as Sa'kage walked out. Pausing at the bottom of the ramp he looked around, the glowing red visual receptors of his Mandalorian helmet moving around as he looked about himself. He had all of his weapons upon himself this time, and the male nodded seeing nobody around.
The boarding ramp slowly ascended back upwards and the ship sealed, protected with a magnolock that needed both a voice activation from himself and the identichip he carried upon his person both. It had taken several days of work to get in to the security systems so he could set the voice lock but he ha eventually done it back upon Kuat. It made him feel a lot safer leaving the ship knowing nobody could enter it with out his permission.
Sa'kage walked along slowly, looking around the forest slowly. He wasn't here for a person, or to hurt anybody. He was here to find a poison, a poison secreted by the claws of the Corellian sand panther. He would need to render the creature unconscious and acquire some of the poison for which he had several vials hidden upon his person in compartments of his armor. Slowly Sa'kage picked up the baton like weapon from his right hip and twirled it around his wrist and hand, searching the woods for any sign as he moved along upon his self appointed quest.

*Ral sighed at the last of her ailments, something he would be largely unable to help her with beyond some simple medication, but as they got back on the ship, Ral closed the ramp and went off to get what he would need to help her while she would clean up. For a smuggler, he kept things in good order. Bandages and medication were easy to find, and he set a ration kit on the table in the lounge for when she was ready to eat.*

The nameless slave found her way into the refresher at once, locking the door. Took her maybe a hour to clean up. When she was done, standing naked she realised that she had nothing to ware, but those dirty rags. On the other hand, there were a couple towels there. She stood for like ten minutes conteplating and gathering courage to even take the towels. She had lived a life where she herself was a belonging, without chance of freedom. She was still a belonging, but her new owner held other philosophies at heart.
-memory of 5- "You are no common slave no more, you are going to be a Banshee. All around you, posessions litter the world, things, people, even worlds. It will be yours, all you have to do is take it."
Small stepps, the slave thought. Today a towel or two, tomorrow, maybe a world. She laughed at herself, and wrapped her body in towels. Head to toe. Thats how she emerged from the den of steam and cleansing.
-?- "Sir, I am sorry if the towels are yours, I had none else clean to wear."

Damn...uh...Go ahead and eat. It's just a ration back, but its food, ya'know? There is a pill there to help with your...stomach issues.
*Ral then disappeared into his quarters for a moment, where there was a rumble and things knocking around. After a while, he emerged with a box in his hands. He set in on the table. The labeling read 'Ceres, and inside were a few changes of clothes. He sat back down in his seat across from where he set the food for her and then patted the box.*
It might not all fit the greatest, but let it not be said I'm not prepared. They belonged to my old partner, but you are welcome to use them.

When Ral came back he saw the slave woman was eating like a hungry pig, not even caring for the utencils. She seemed to enjoy that mundane ration pack as if it was a six course dinner at the local 5 star hotel. She only gave him a quick...
-?- "Thank you."
and munched on. When it was finnished, and the ration packs inside licked clean, she dried the food juices from her mouth with one of Rals towels (maybe wasnt the best choice) and then started looking through his medicine, taking a vitamin tablet, a capsule for belly aches and some anti biotics. When done she looked through the cloths and chose a pair of boxers, socks, a white shirt and jeans. Belt was needed. She changed in the bathroom, coming out, she confessed her ill deeds.
-?- "Sir, I suggest you dont go in there for a while."

Bela Vistal Crystal Valley (early morning before the meeting with Yin She'she)
In his sleep, he found oblivion. This was not unknown to Aleranus. Ever since his Master had marked him with the Sith tattoo, Aleranus had found himself closing his eyes at night and opening them in the morning. No images, no thoughts. He blinked as they left the hangar of the Jedi Temple, and when his eyes opened they were still underway after a night of travel. The new Master, Nalatua'lin, drove for the moment, while the apprentice, Terra Kiros, rode in the front seat beside her.
Aleranus shifted slightly, leaning forward as his eyes looked down to his bundled weapons. The bow and arrows his master had crafted for him were safely stowed, the half dozen crystal tipped arrows ready for use at a moment's notice. The lightsaber at his belt still weighed him down as well.
They were going in the right direction, at least. The paper from the Sith Tome was stuffed beneath his shirt, pulsing with every kilometer they moved, a second heartbeat that matched his own. It wouldn't be long now.
"How much farther," he asked either of the Jedi before him.

Environs Nearby the Academy
After a decent walk through a woodsy terrain on a sloping hill, Jade led her companion on a narrow path around the bottom of a mountain following a swiftly-flowing creek. Selaya prowled about ahead of them, pleased to be outside the Academy. The startled squawk of a bird caught too close to the ground provided them with audible knowledge of the vornskr's whereabouts which were confirmed by a few feathers when they caught up. Eventually, the close terrain widened out into a pool into which a waterfall poured its supply of cold mountain water. All in all, it was secluded and wild, while at the same time, peaceful.
Jade hefted the straps of a bag she was carrying over her shoulder and turned to look at Z'har, a bright light dancing in her eyes as she inquired, "What do you think?"

To Z'har, the world always looked different. A hundred overlays with everything from temperature variations & wind speed to local levels of air pollution filled his vision every moment. It was part of what made The Admiral so hard to assassinate, as the display had been part of his armour long before he had vanished into seclusion. After a moment's thought, he cleared his vision, willing all the displays to vanish. It was the first time in nearly thirty years that he looked out at the world without the insulting layer of data & raw numbers.
Something inside him realized that the location that had before only seemed 'non-hostile' had somehow shifted into something beautiful & dreamlike. A slight breeze ruffled his hair. That breeze was the first thing since he had sealed himself into his armour twenty years ago that he wasn't aware of until it touched him.
Z'har looked over at his companion & smiled. Ten years ago, he had died at the age of ninety. He had been old & already dying by that point. An age barely considered middle-age for a Zabrak, but the same genetic condition that turned his eyes black as pitch had greatly reduced his natural lifespan. It wasn't age that had killed him though. As he had lay dying in the agony of being torn apart molecule by molecule, regret at all the lost chances had been one of the only things on his mind. It had only been a chance of fate that had saved him mind if not his body.
Much of the next decade had been spend hiding away inside his tower slowly becoming used to his new form. Much of his interactions had been through puppets & middlebeings since then. Z'har had already seen some of the beginning effects of this. Once he was an active force in the Mandalorian War Council. Others had nodded in deference or fear in the shadow of his passing & later to his iconic black armour. His name was a fearful curse that broke enemy fleets before the first shot was fired. Now the younger echelons of the Mando elite didn't even know he had ever existed. More & more of the older mandos were passing away. Scores had died in the last Holy War, scores more had taken the defeat hard & faded back into the masses. Once his face was a feared demon in the night, now he could walk openly with his own face & not be recognized by a single sole.
Perhaps it was a gift. A chance at a new beginning. One that this angel had come forth to bless him with. One that this angel had drawn him forth from his tower to see with his own eyes.
-Z'har I think I'm ready. Ready for whatever tomorrow might bring.

"Let's hope it brings good things," she replied fondly. Green eyes gazed at the Zabrak, looking through him even. She almost thought she could see a difference there, a warm light, an awareness that hinted at a deeper experience of things around him. But, maybe she was projecting her wishes onto him. She didn't understand all that his current state of being entailed, in fact, she had purposely not dwelt upon it in her own mind. It would probably raise all sorts of questions that were difficult to answer, and for now, she was enjoying his presence.
She shifted the thick blanket she was carrying and gestured to a spot on a jutting rock ledge that overhung the pool below, and yet was under the sheltering branches of a towering evergreen tree. "How's that?" she asked. She preferred evergreen trees to deciduous ones. Leaves rustled, but needles hissed when the wind blew through them. It reminded her of an ocean that she had seen once.

-Z'har With you at my side, how could it bring anything else?
The shift in Z'har's mental state slowly worked itself through all his various plots & plans. Before, his study of his current condition had been mostly academic, with a slight edge of how to make best use of it. Now, the study would be more about a new beginning. It was time to name his successor. Z'har had hoped to pass that honour down to his son, Marcos. Marcos, however, had thrown that away in a fit a childish rage. Aya had an immature streak in her that made the Z'har wonder how well she would do in command of MMC, but she was still the best option. Of course, he was still the head of the D'Ordinii clan, so if all else failed he could still order her to find a more suitable replacement.
-Z'har Hold on, I need to send a message.
Z'har pulled out a datapad that had up to this point been used mostly to help his cover. It was true that he could have sent the message mentally, but he didn't want to turn those systems back on quite yet. A quick message was typed out & sent, & the datapad was returned to its pocket.
