Ky Rynn grinned in the shadows. Kwame looked jumpy. Almost, uneasy. Seeing the little Darksider become so easily rattled by his parlor tricks amused him. Ky Rynn was armed with little more than a shovel. By now, the barn was quickly catching fire. The goats screamed and bleated while they quickly jumped around inside. The creatures ran outside and into the grass outside in a flurry of fur and bleating.
Ky Rynn's eyes glanced over at the group of goats. 'One, two, three, four... kriff, they're probably fine. Those buggers never die."
Ky Rynn moved gingerly, but quickly. The Darksider in the field seemed more interested in his quarry rather than striking a fight. For now, he had the element of surprise. Kwame didn't seem to know who he was or where he was. His eyes darted towards the barn, he saw Advika with the goat.
"Kriff, of course you'd find that."
Ky Rynn began to move quickly. He was careful where he stepped. Leaf litter covered the ground. He moved away from Kwame and towards Advika. This was no place for both a Darksider and her. Who knows what that creature had in mind for her? The air grew hot from the fire. Thick smoke rose from the barn as the piles of hay quickly caught fire. The wood of the barn creaked and groaned. Parts of the roof began to collapse in on itself, sending up plumes of smoke. Perhaps, he could use this to his advantage.
Whenever he reached Advika, he would attempt to grab hold of her to steer her away from the barn.
"Come on. Let's go. Someone is here. Walk fast, but don't run. Not yet. It'll attract his attention."
The Knight said authoritatively. He was moving with purpose towards another building in the distance. It looked like another stable some 200 meters away and hidden by the trees. This one looked more run down than the other one.
"Whatever happens. Do not stop running until you reach the barn. Take the goat. It will keep you company. When you're tired of her, you can eat her."
The goat screamed at him then head-butted him in the leg.

Advika isn't sure if tall, quiet before but suddenly talking an awful lot guy is talking to her or the goat at first, but cops on by the time he suggests that she could eat her goat if she gets tired of her. "Dude, that isn't funny at all," Advika says, forgetting that she is supposed to walking fast and stopping to protest against the idea of eating her new friend, who looks up at Ky and screams loudly to add her own opinion on the idea of being eaten to the discussion before butting him in the leg to emphasize her strong feelings on the subject in case they were not already clear.
Kwame, wincing as he hears another piercing scream over the crackling flames of the burning barn, stops and narrows his eyes as he looks into the distance and sees the farmer and his quarry, accompanied by one of the annoying goats apparently infesting the farm, lit by the dancing flames, walking towards another stable. Calling the Force to heel, the burly giant of a Dowutin bounds like a superman into the night sky and comes crashing to the ground in front of the farmer, the goat, and the Weequay that has garbed herself for battle and armed herself for . . . digging in the dirt.
As the ground quakes beneath the feet of the eight foot tall, metric ton weighing Dark Side aligned Dowutin that ignites his twin guard shoto hilts and snarls menacingly, Advika's goat screams, followed by the sound of Advika squeaking in terror.
The Dowutin laughs as he lifts his right shoto towards Ky, extending his first and second fingers as he sends a powerful push at the farmer and advises him, "Stay out of this, husbandman, it does not . . . "
Advika swings her entrenching tool at the glowing red blade of the sinisterly humming shoto, her terror momentarily overtaken by her selfless instinct to save tall, kind of chatty when it suits him guy, and making her forget lightsabers can cut through anything . . . usually, as, unbeknownst to her or the momentarily amused Dowutin that does not bother moving his weapon as it will, he believes, simply cut through the tiny shovel, said shovel is made with a cortosis alloy and shorts out the guard shoto, briefly rendering Kwame, looking from his fizzling guard shoto as it dribbles and spits a few harmless sparks onto the ground, to the Weequay as, her trusty goat friend beside her and screaming out what sounds like a warcry, she starts drawing her shovel back for another blow. . .

"Keep moving!"
Ky Rynn ordered Advika. Branches and detritus crackled under their footfalls. When she slowed down, he grabbed her by the hand and pulled her forward. Somehow, the little goat kept up with them. It trotted after Advika and bounded after her when she ran.
The crack of heavy footfalls shook the ground. Ky Rynn looked over his shoulder at the charging Kwame. Despite his training, the Ky Rynn was tossed aside by the Force push. It sent him flying into a tree, knocking the wind out of him. He let out a grunt, but he recovered quickly.
Meanwhile, he watched Advika bravely attack Kwame.
'This kid is going to get themselves killed.' He grumbled to himself.
Something about her hinted that she should be protected, at all costs. He felt the Force course through his hand as he reached out towards Advika. He unleased a powerful Force push at the girl, attempting to push Advika out of the way at all costs. Even if it meant breaking a bone or two, it was only a minor technicality.
After the push, he attempted to use the Force to throw his shovel at Kwame. It was a move reminiscent of his previous life when he used to fling his Lightsaber effectively to incapacitate his enemies. If successful, the shovel would boomerang back into his hand.

Even though at a mere five feet tall she is dwarfed by the massive Dowutin and weighs only a fraction of his weight, Advika boldly takes a step forward after drawing her entrenching tool back for a second swing, crying out, "Yippee-ki-yay, mot. . ." only to be silenced as Ky's Force Push sends her sailing backwards to tumble to he ground and then roll a few more feet before coming to a halt in the dirt, her shovel and helmet both lost somewhere along the way.
The goat that seems to have adopted Advika screams an irritated bit of criticism at Ky before loping off to where Advika lays on the ground, the metallic rings bound in her isolation braids jangling as she shakes her head to clear it.
Kwame, smiling toothily as he looks at his presently sprawled and momentarily stunned prey, makes the mistake of dismissing Ky as no threat after what seems to him to have been either a tactical error or simply poor aim and begins striding towards Advika's prone form as she begins trying to lift herself onto her elbows in order to rise up. The Dowutin hisses in surprise and pain when Ky's shovel cuts deep into his right side and then begins boomeranging back towards him.
Kwame, right hand having dropped his disabled guard shoto so that he could keep his insides from leaking out of the gruesome gash in his side, turns away from the Weequay and begins striding towards the tree Ky had been thrown into, pointing the sinister scarlet hued blade of his remaining shoto at the former Jedi as he growls, "That will be your last mist. . ." his threat cut off by the grunt of pain that the whack in the back he receives when Advika, doggedly regaining her feet and reclaiming her fallen entrenching tool, swings the flat of the shovel at the small of his back.
Snarling as he puts his considerable weight onto his right leg and delivers a vicious kick to the side of Advika's unprotected head, Kwame sends her flying once more, the force of the kick rendering her unconscious by the time she falls to the ground yet again. Rumbling a cruel laugh as he sees the Weequay will pester him no more, Kwame turns to resume advancing on Ky . . .

He had no time to make fun of the creature with Kwame on the loose. His lightsaber- esque shovel throw struck true before it sailed back into his hand.
Ky flinched as he watched Advika be tossed through the air. He found it funny.
But he didn’t laugh.
He was already moving quickly to make his next strike. He had to be careful against disappointment. Unlike the dark sider, he was armed only with a shovel of questionable resilience. Grass crunched under his footfalls as he weaved and darted towards Kwame. He moved up close to the dark sider, attempting to flick him in the forehead- If possible, before attempting to move away out of the reach of his blade.
Despite being retired, he still moved with grace and agility. Skilled in the art of sword play, he attempted to move and dodge Kwame’s blade. Ky had spent most of his time honing his skills in swordplay rather than the other arts. He kept his shovel out of reach and near his body. For now, he was merely attempting to toy with Kwame rather than attacking him.

Kwame, looking equal parts amused, annoyed and baffled when Ky dances in close and attempts to flick his forehead, manages to cant his head to the side in time to evade the attack and bares his teeth with a low, rumbled growl. His eyes never leaving Ky, or the shovel in his hands, as he dances away, Kwame presses his right arm deeper into his wounded side, the pain fueling his command of the Force and, combined with his mounting frustration and anger, feels his veins humming with power and purpose.
Advika momentarily of no concern as he can sense that she remains unconscious, Kwame keeps his shoto down at the ready on his left side while adjusting his stance continually to remain facing Ky as the farmer who has revealed himself to be far more than a simple husbandman moves about, tauntingly out of reach and apparently content for now to try to fluster Kwame into making a tactical error that will expose him to more harm. Springing suddenly into motion, using the Force to move with inhuman alacrity, Kwame raises his left arm to aim his blade for Ky's throat as he lunges forward. His shoto hums hungrily as, once the glowing red blade nears Ky's throat, Kwame turns the jab into a feint, dipping his hand and arm down so that the saber will, if the feint succeeds in leading Ky to block high with his shovel, pierce his bowels instead of his throat. . .

(I apologize, I'm absolute trash at dueling.)
Ky Rynn grinned at Kwame's attempts. To him, Kwame looked like a child throwing a temper tantrum. The former Knight moved fluidly around Kwame, being careful to remain out of range of his saber. Then, he saw an opportunity to strike when Kwame lunged at him. He knew it was only a matter of time before he became impatient. As Kwame moved into the lunge, Ky stepped to the right and towards him while bringing up his shovel into an unterhau: a low to high diagonal cut coming from the low right to the upper left, aimed at Kwame's left arm.
Ky was not in much of a mood to kill anyone- yet.
If successful, it would be quite painful, but not lethal.

Kwame, making the mistake of assuming that his size and strength will make defeating the farmer an easy feat, over-commits to his feint and, when Ky nimbly side-steps rather than attempting to block the lunging strike, is slightly off balance and too slow to react to the shovel swings on a low to high diagonal, biting deep into the flesh of heavily muscled left arm. Hissing in pain and frustration, the enraged Dowutin clenches his shoto hilt so tightly that his knuckles are white as he turns to face the shovel-wielding farmer and lifts the humming scarlet hued blade to point at Ky, growling, "You will pay dearly . . ."
Advika's goat, deciding she will no longer be a noncombatant goat, lowers her head, charges at the back of the Dowutin's legs and rams the back of Kwame's legs with a bleating screaming war cry, driving the Dark Sider destined to never complete a sentence to his knees. As Kwame tries to regain his feet a tiny shovel swings into the side of his head as Advika, unsteady on her feet but possessed of the strength the Force grants her, re-enters the fray.
When Kwame shakes his head and turns to face the awakened Weequay, Advika grits her teeth and swings her entrenching tool down on the top of his head, knocking him unconscious. As the Dowutin falls forward onto his face, Advika holds a hand up for a high five as she tells Ky, "That'll teach him to mess with us, huh?"
Advika's goat whinnies as though laughing, then screams shrilly in triumph.

Ky Rynn was breathing hard. The years had not been kind to the former Knight, but he was still a formidable adversary. He lowered his shovel when he saw Kwame drop to the ground, unconscious.
He largely ignored Advika. This was a victory for them. For now.
He casually looked over at Advika and then at Kwame. This creature likely had some sort of potential that this Darksider wanted. His kind was all the same, the moment they suspected any sort of talent in the Force in someone, they go through whatever means necessary to bend them to their will. Too often he's seen Darksiders, like Kwame, tear apart villages and cities for more to join their cause.
Kwame was a threat that had to be neutralized.
"Goat, take that critter to the ship. There's nothing for them to see here. I'll see you there shortly." He said as he looked at Kwame.
The goat seemed to understand began to nudge Advika away.
"Now to deal with you."
He said as he looked at Kwame's unconscious form. Ky Rynn held out his hand and summoned Kwame's blade to him. The blade flew through the air into Ky's open hand. It sat there heavily for a moment before he toggled the blade. The fiery red blade came to life in an angry snap-hiss.
Ky said nothing more as he went to work, quickly dispatching Kwame.
The ground felt heavier beneath his feet. It had been years since the Knight has had to resort to such extreme measures. It was all part of another life that he fought so hard to escape, but now it seems to have followed him to his doorstep. The sensation was new, yet familiar to him. This was the ancient dance of the Light and the Dark, always attempting to maintain the balance in the Force, or some sort of philosophical crap like that.
When he was finished, he turned his attention back to where the goat was pushing Advika. He needed to get her away from this place, somewhere. Anywhere except for here. If someone like Kwame knew of this place, then more will soon follow.

Pouting when Ky ignores her raised hand, Brielle tells her goat when it is told to take her to the ship, "He totally just left me hanging there, with a shake of her head as she begins to follow the goat to the ship, adding, and called me a critter to boot. Looking down at her goat as she rests her borrowed entrenching tool on a shoulder, the Weequay tells her, Speaking of, you really need a name, huh girl? Pursing her wrinkled lips in thought, Advika considers the best name for her goat and then smiles as she says, I think I'm going to name you Kaponianani, what do you think of that name?"
Her goat screams in what Advika decides is an approving way, nodding her head as she says, "Kaponianani is is then, then sits down beside the ship after setting her borrowed entrenching tool down with a sigh, her adrenaline bleeding away now and leaving her feeling tired, sore and mentally and physically exhausted. Rubbing the side of her head where the Dowutin kicked her, Advika tells her goat, Too bad I lost my helmet when that big thing pushed me with the Force, it almost felt like he kicked my head right off."
Tilting her head to the side when she hears the distinctive snap followed by the hiss of a lightsaber's blade erupting to life, Advika asks Kaponianani, "I wonder what that is all about? Shrugging to dismiss the matter, Advika hugs her knees to her chest as she asks her goat, I wonder if the tall quiet guy will let me keep you when he takes me back to Doaba? Frowning as she thinks about the way she had been forced by the Dowutin to flee from Doaba Guerfel after escaping from him, Advika says, My friends are probably pretty worried about me, then cringes as she considers that her friends have undoubtedly told her parents about what happened by now, adding, My parents too, then groans as she says, Maaaan, they probably won't ever let me go on any trips without them now."

Ky Rynn's brow knotted in disgust as he stared at the lifeless Kwame for a few moments. The former knight raised his brow when he watched the body disappear, leaving only a pile of clothes where Kwame lay. Ky Rynn lowered the lightsaber, allowing the blade to disappear back into the hilt.
"Strong enough to be taken back by the Force? Perhaps I should have gotten to know you better. I thought that you were nothing more than a meathead. You must have had some degree of talent." He turned and jogged towards Advika before gesturing that they move to the end of the clearing. He didn't speak to her, but the goat shook the dust off of it and trotted after Ky. At the end of the clearing was some sort of wooden walkway to a spiral staircase that led to a ship. The vessel was well-hidden in a small ravine and sheltered by the trees. The vessel was slate-grey in color and scorched by blaster fire from wars past. Despite being on the forest floor, the ship seemed to be well-taken care of.
Ky Rynn's Ship was docked to the side of the ravine. He strode up to the back of the ship. Everything inside of it seemed locked with no way in. Ky Rynn reached out with the force, gesturing his hand in front of him as if he was trying to open a giant, unseen lock in the air. A few moments later, the hatchway opened with a hiss, sending out a plume of dust into the air. Ky Rynn instinctively went to clasp the lightsaber to his belt but realized that he had no belt on. The lightsaber fell to the ground in front of him. What was he doing? That life was behind him. He was enjoying the solitude of farming alone. He just looked at the saber and just left it there."Go find a place to sit inside. I will get the ship ready for take off." He ordered Advika. He didn't look at her, or even turn his head to see if she was even following. He retreated straight to the cabin and the pilot's seat to prepare the ship for take off.

Following Ky along, with her goat, newly christened Kaponianani, trotting beside her, to his ship, Advika sketches him a salute when told to get aboard his Firespray and find a place to sit, guessing from the way that he has yet to look at her that he prefers his unwanted visitors to be of the silent and obedient rather than talkative variety. "Come on, Kaponianani, Advika tells her goat as she walks up the patrol and attack craft's entry hatch, let's find a place to sit."
Yawning as she twirls one of her isolation braids around a finger and looks around the Firespray's lounge and debates whether it will be far enough away from the cockpit that her risk of irritating her reluctant savior any more than she already has just by showing up on his isolated farm with a Darkside aligned Dowutin chasing after her, Advika shrugs and drops onto one of the comfy enough looking couches in the lounge, curling up onto her side and patting Kaponianani's head as her goat plonks down on the floor in front of the couch, telling the goat after it screams what sounds almost like a question, "I dunno, girl, I guess we'll find out, she yawns again, when we get to wherever he's dropping us off."

‘What the kriff am I doing?’
He asked himself as he made his way around the ships’s exterior. He was checking the exterior for any obvious areas of malfunction or damage, just in case he would need to go into space. This kid had brought him more trouble than he expected for a typical Monday. With Advika safely on board, he turned and angrily kicked the ship before yelling in frustration. The serenity of his quite retirement was gone. In the span of a few hours, his pet had died. His house had burned down, and he killed a man.
He eventually calmed himself. The sooner he rid himself of Advika, the better. Maybe he could start building a new home after he dumped her off somewhere. But where?
He continued his walk around the vessel, pulling out the large, wooden blocks and covers that protected the engine exhausts to keep birds and critters from nesting in them. He angrily tossed them aside into a messy pile nearby before disappearing back into the ship. The hatchway closed behind him with a hiss.
Ky Rynn made his way through the ship. Everything was as he has left it. The last time he flew the ship was a year ago to go to market for his annual supply run. Beyond that, he hardly had any use for the vessel. He was more than happy to let the thing rust out in the backwoods. All this ship brought him was memories of wars past, and friends who had faded into the wind.
The pilots seat let out a heavy creak when he sat in it, sending up a plume of dust into the air. The start up sequence for the ship was relatively simple as his hands went to work quickly flipping switches and turning dials until the vessel sputtered to life. The ship shook as the engines ignited.
“Hang on to something.”
He called out to Advika. He didn’t really give her much warning as the ship quickly lurched and rose into the air.

Picking herself up from the floor and brushing the dust from her Porg covered jammies, Advika calls out to Ky, "Little late! Adding, I'm fine! in the event he had been concerned by the thumping accompanying her tumble from the couch, and then adding in an undertone, Thanks for asking," since she is fairly certain Ky had not been concerned at all.
Not wanting to be left out of the conversation, Advika's adopted pet goat, Kaponianani, opens her mouth and emits her signature scream.
Nodding as she gets herself comfy on the couch again, Advika smiles as she pats the Kaponianani's head and says through a wide yawn, "You tell him girl!" Curling up on her side, Advika briefly wonders where Ky is taking her, but drifts off to sleep after a few moments so that their destination, when they reach it, will be a surprise to her.

The cracking of branches could be heard as the ship rose into the air. When they first stepped foot into the ship, it stank of stale dirt and time. The ship crept into the air, sending a plume of dust flying inside as the main thrusts came online. Within moments, they were airborne and headed toward some unknown destination. "Hey Alexis... scan the planet, where can I drop this kid off?" "What kind of business are you looking for?""Uh... a city or something" "Sorry, I'm still not sure about that.""How about nearby civilization." "I found something!"The computer then spat out a series of coordinates and places. Some of them were from ancient times and pointed to old ruins on the planet's eastern side. Ky Rynn scanned through the locations, nothing seemed to be appealing.
He thought about what he could do with Advika: drop her off at the nearest spot of civilization and let her fend for herself, keep her with him to care for the goats... or... "Oh kriff... of course that would show up as a possible destination." His eyes locked onto a particular place: the listing was for a temple nearby. He glanced back at the spot where he had left Advika and thought to himself. If that darksider was aware of her, no place in the galaxy would be safe. There would be more coming for her, that much would be certain."Well, she would certainly safe there." He turned his head again towards the back of the ship where Advika was sitting, "you- creature, come here." He called out to her, realizing that he had no idea what the creature was. If it had told him a name, he had quickly forgotten it.Continued at the Jedi Academy
