Johun thought about Dev's suggestions.
I am by no means a legal expert. So we may need to consult someone else as far as the warrants are concerned. I'll type up something and send it to CorSec.
Johun followed Dev inside. He sat at a secure data terminal and began his report to CorSec.
Urgent Message for CorSec:
Contraband in docks. Surveillance ongoing. Organized crime element present.
Johun wanted to keep the report short. He didn't have a whole lot of information yet. But he knew he needed to go back to "The Savory Dalyrake".

Durante Satori, the CorSec officer with Vreni Island's Organized Crime Unit who has been tasked with helping the Jedi and Sector Rangers with their joint investigation, reads the brief report Johun sent, rubbing his eyes tiredly after he has finished it. Putting the Jedi's report together with what Arrienne LaGyle had forwarded to him from Dev Urnth, Satori can tell that the investigative team is going about their work full tilt, no holds barred. Confirmation that contraband had been present on the docks, with an additional confirmation that an OC element was involved is a good days work, and if the Jedi and the Toydarian prove to be right about the Savory Dalyrake being a spice distribution hub, that will bring them one step closer to finding out who heads up the criminal organization, and then to putting them out of business.
After requisitioning the surveillance equipment Dev had requested, and arranging to have it delivered to where the Toydarian and Jedi have set up their base of ops, Sartori starts typing out his encrypted response to Johun.
Master Starfield,
Your initial progress report, along with Agent Urnth's request for surveillance equipment were both received. Commendations on a promising start to the investigation.
Surveillance equipment has been requisitioned, and is to be delivered to you by end of evening. Report in with any additional findings, or to request identifications or records available on any parties of interest discovered during course of investigation.
Keep me apprised of any new developments. Will provide any additional equipment or support should you need it.
CorSec Agent D. Satori, Vreni Island OC Unit

Johun read the response from CorSec. Excellent. Now they just had to get the surveillance online and get more evidence.

Dev is sipping on a blue drink with an umbrella while idly watching the waves washing ashore from the deck of their make-shift base of operation when the surveillance gear he and Johun requested arrives, and flaps his tiny blue wings to head around to the front door to accept the delivery.
"Yo! Our stuff is here bro'! Dev calls out to Johun after the gear has been dropped off inside of their rented beachfront abode, and then begins opening the boxes to see what it is that they have been provided with. Cool, cool, the blue skinned Toydarian says as he opens the box that was delivered to reveal a pair of cases which in turn reveal, when opened, four modified R-4 recon droids that have been re-purposed for surveillance; each droid equipped for audio and visual recording. Check these babies out, Dev says excitedly, passing one of the small droids to Johun, All we need to do is get these into the vents, then have them move around and start recording. Taking a datapad that has been programmed to receive data from the droids, Dev says, Looks like we can do the watching from here on this thing, safe as houses. What do you think? Lunch tomorrow at the ol' Dalyrake?"

Johun inspected all the gear that was delivered. It was good gear and would serve them wonderfully.
Yes, I believe lunch at the Dalyrake is needed.
Johun smirked as he said it. He hoped this would go smoothly, because this surveillance needed to be in place if they were going to take these guys down.
Tell me Dev, what do you know of the Organized Crime in the area?

Juggling a pair of the recon droids as he purses his lips in thought while considering how best to answer Johun's question, Dev is silent for a moment before he says, "Well, they are not your usual loud n' noisy bunch, for one thing. They appear to deal exclusively with high end clients, hence the location, and confine their drug and prostitution, or escorts as I'm sure they would call it, to beings that like to keep things on the down low. Smart, the Toydarian muses in admiration mixed with revulsion, really. They avoid the attention that comes from the violence and fallout from dealing with clientele that are more inclined to come to the attention of the authorities. Still, he says with a shake of his head as he sets aside his admiration for the ability of the criminal element they are after to maintain a certain level of civility rarely seen in organized crime, breaking the law is breaking the law no matter how quiet and nonviolent that breaking is, right?"
Setting the recon drones back in their case, Dev says, "Besides, it may be quiet here on the island, but the drugs come from somewhere else, probably involving the use of slave labor, and I'd bet not all of the escorts are here willingly either. Violence is always involved somewhere in the mix with these kinds of activity, and the only way we can make a dent in it is to find out who these guys are dealing with. Tapping one of the cases, Dev asks, Any ideas about how we can get these into the restaurant without anyone noticing? Just carrying the cases in would be a bit too obtrusive, right?"

Johun ponders on Dev's insights. Could and would probably be dangerous work.
Very much so. We need a way to basically have free access...
Johun ponders some more.

Dev nods, rubbing his stubbled chin in thought for a moment before thinking aloud, "Free access could be difficult. A bomb threat maybe? They'd have to evacuate so that the . . . shaking his head, he says, No good, they'd probably go over the place with a fine toothed comb after the bomb squad was through to make sure the whole thing wasn't a set up, which it would be. Snapping his fingers, he says with a grin, Stakeout! When the place closes at night, they would probably only keep a minimal security force on site, right? One or two thugs, maybe even just droids. Either way, we'd probably be able to sneak in, one of us monitors the guards from outside with a sensor or something while the other one gets in and plants the drones? What do you think?"

Home is where the heart is, or at least that's what they say. But for a Jedi, what was home? Was it where they were born? Where they were raised? Where they slept on a given night? That question was a lot harder to answer the more deeply one decided to delve into it, especially for a Jedi, but if there was one world Geir might consider his home, Corellia may be just that. Corellia had been where he'd done much of his training. He'd spent more years here than he had any other world so perhaps he had made it home at last. However, this was all a question to be pondered upon another day. For now, he could just appreciate the calmness and the tranquility of one of Corellia's many lush plains . . .
A gentle breeze swept across the grassy knoll, caressing the very land and all in it with its warm embrace. The included the Jedi Master, Geir Hammand, who found himself cross-legged and leaning against a lone tree. His head was bowed and his eyes closed. His breathing was soft and steady. If one were unaware, they might just think that the man was withdrawn into a slumber all alone in the peaceful calm, instead of deep in meditation.
For many, the Academy's meditation chambers offered solace enough to allow oneself to truly embrace Ashla and subdue themselves within the body of the Force, but for Geir, he greatly preferred to be out with nature and where one could truly observe the magnitude of the Living Force and obtain that deeper connection he felt could only be achieved by way of immersing oneself in nature and in all living things. Stone and metal could only offer one so much. And so for this very reason, Geir found himself here. And alone.

=Months after the various negotiations and the formation of the CC=
The Coalition had experienced a rather busy first year as the government was formed, measures were ratified, the military was restructured, and other necessities, such as the refugee crisis, were tackled and handled. The Diktat of Corellia, Sarria Delpin, served a small term as interim Prime Minister of the Coalition, ensuring that there was leadership, albeit temporary, at the top to direct the infant machine. Elections came by the end of the year and the votes were thrown into to various candidates and their parties. Graemon Gorgano, himself, had been a nominated candidate, but he declined the offer publicly within a few days of this nomination. He never intended to run the Coalition, for it wasn't his style one bit. Others were brought forth from Fondor, Talus, Tralus, Corellia, and other member systems. Eventually, it divulged down to Sarria Delphin and Jacques Hu, the latter winning the ballet by several good polls. Before the public, on the Coalition's HNN, Jacques was sworn in as the first Prime Minister of the Coalition. The nation celebrated for this monumental achievement.
A celebratory event was hosted, by the Royal House of Solo, at one of their mansions upon the planet's surface. Their role in Corellia's politics dictated that they host some sort of celebration for this event and all had been arranged in cooperation with the government. Dignitaries from neighboring and allied systems and even delegates from systems offered friendship, had come to mingle with the politicians and officials of the Coalition. Alcohol and fine food were served as the hall were filled with the sounds of many talking and laughing. Tonight was a night to celebrate, for tomorrow would certainly bring new challenges and tasks. Tonight, the Coalition celebrated and joined in with the good mood that was brought with these elections.
Graemon Gorgano, sporting his nobleman's attire, was present with his brother, Valerian, who had come from Fondor to join in this event. The Baron eyed the crowd quietly, spying such people as His Excellency, Marcus Starmane, Admiral Chase Hargrave, and even Doctor Jameroo. Valerian eyed his brother as Graemon's gaze seemed to fall on her for a bit longer than expected. A nudge by his brother caused Graemon to snap out of it and see the grin on his brother's face. The Fondorian exhales deeply, knowing that Valerian had been prying as of late.
However, Graemon was distracted by the appearance of Jacques Hu himself. He grabs a glass, from a passing tray, and immediately makes his way to the vicinity of the Prime Minister. There was something important that had to be achieved tonight for the sake of the Coalition and her future. After waiting quietly for Jacques to be done speaking with the representative from Drall, Graemon manages to gain his attention.
Prime Minister Hu, I raise my glass to you in congratulations on your hard-earned victory. I knew there was someone better out there to run the Coalition. The people now have a leader and everyone awaits your first acts that will certainly come tomorrow to bring forth a better future.

Since his return to Corellia from Naboo over a year ago time seemed to go by both at a snails pace yet somehow there was never enough time to do everything needed. Once Naboo had joined the Coalition it helped stem the tide of refugees fleeing the Empire. After that it was a flurry of paper work, and faces and hands shaken. By the time elections had come around he did not even have time to process the fact that he had been nominated let alone won them. It never really sunk in until he had sworn in. Even now, on a night when he was meant to be having fun the weight of responsibility weighed heavy on him.
Here in the house of Solo he wished very much to be standing to the side watching as the greatest minds and leaders of the Coalition gathered and celebrated. Instead he had been forced into the spot light. Excusing himself from a pair of representatives from Drall he very loudly sighed. Of all the people from the system they were the hardest to interact with. Not only would one of them be writing meticulous notes of everything that happened, but it felt like you were talking to a droid sometimes. Even now, with the conversation fresh in his mind he couldn't grasp what they were saying. Something about potentially finding a way to improve the shield technology of the ships. He would have to ensure that they met with someone from the shipyards.
Seeing a familiar face toasting him he raised his own glass before bringing the amber liquid to his lips and savouring the sweet flavour as he drank it.
Well truth be told Baron Gorgano I had voted for you. This whole Coalition came to be with no small part of your own, and despite the efforts of Mrs Delphin I know that without the behind the scenes work you did everything would still be a dream. I hope that the people placed their trust in the right man.
In truth he hoped that his ideas would be well received. Some of them would seem very far out there to the average person but over time he hoped they would accept them.
Looking at the man beside the Baron he smiled and put his hand to shake it.
I dont believe we have met but someone who knows the Baron is someone worth knowing.

Admiral Hargrave, having received a promotion for his actions over Mon Calamari, stood in his neatly pressed battle dress uniform. Golden tassles, epaulets and all. Polished medals and ribbons adorning his chest. Hair neatly groomed back and mustache trimmed, the aging Admiral was enjoying the company of those around him. Having served in the military all his life, he wasn't much for extravagant parties, such as this, however, this one was warranted. Commander Jaques Hu, now the Prime Minister of the Coalition, had just been voted in to office, hours ago. While his own promotion was public, it hadn't garnered the spectacle that the Prime Minister's swearing in had. And he was fine with that. The limelight may have been something he had sought in his younger days, but now, not it was time for someone else to enjoy it. He was just here to make an appearance, interact with the locals, and show his support of the new Prime Minister. Noticing Baron Gorgano toasting the Prime Minister's success, Hargrave excused himself from the group and stepped over to them, raising his glass as well. Taking a sip of the sparkling liquid within his glass, he turned to the Baron as Prime Minister Hu introduced himself to who he could only assume was of some relation to the Baron himself.
"Baron. A pleasure to meet with you, once again. I trust you are enjoying yourself?"
The aged Admiral smirked slightly, as he had noticed of late, how Captain Jameroo seemed to catch his eye more frequently. To be fair, Doctor Lynne Jameroo was one helluva gal, and were he at least thirty years younger, he might have made a pass at her. But those times were relatively behind him. Having been married and now widowed, Hargrave was married to his career, rather than a single person, as it was all he had left.

In all honesty, Doctor Jameroo had been shocked when she received an invitation to the celebration of Commodore Hu's election as Prime Minister. Though no doubt it was in recognition of her tireless work with the refugees, or maybe the Baron wished to see her their. She still had not had a chance to thank him for his actions at Mon Calamari. This coupled with the chance of seeing Graemon again solidified the fact she was going. Lynne wore her favorite dress to the event, one of the few times since she left to join the GA that she had been able to wear it. It was a beautiful backless black dress, with sequence that made it appear as if she wore part of the nights sky. It fit her form very nicely and showed off her legs with a slit that went a couple inches above her knee. Her makeup was beautiful, highlighting her blue eyes so that they were the first thing you saw.
She hadn't been at the party long before noticing the Baron arrive with who she could only guess was his brother. Lynne wanted to approach but knew a man in Graemon's position needed to rub elbows with important people before they got to have fun talking to the pretty girls. She smiled and blushed when his gaze came to her. Excusing herself from a conversation with another officer, she found a waiter and acquired a drink. Snaking her way over to where the Fondorian was headed, the Corellian spotted Jacques and waited patiently for a chance to enter the conversation, if only just to finally thank the Prime Minister in person.

Graemon raises his glass once more, acknowledging what the Prime Minister had said. He was among a trio of persons, including His Excellency Starmane and the Diktat Delpin, who had worked diligently at creating the Coalition and seeing an event, like today, become reality. However, Graemon had never sought the high seat that Hu occupied as the duly elected leader of the Coalition.
I was never meant for such a high seat, Prime Minister. I did my duty for the Republic and the Galactic Alliance before, but I tend to try to keep my face... less out of the public and more behind the scenes work. The public can somewhat be intimidated by the eye-patch.
Graemon gestures to the piece of cloth that wrapped around his right eye. He was definitely a strange one for not getting something mechanical like an optical eye as a replacement. Having been offered countless times by doctors, during his recovery, the Fondorian fervently refused time and time again. Valerian, who had been greeted by the Prime Minister, glances at his brother momentarily before turning his attention to Jacques.
=Valerian= Prime Minister, a pleasure to meet you. I am Baron Gorgano's younger brother, Valerian Gorgano. I serve as the Chairman for Fondor's Guild of Shipwrights. My brother here has kept me quite busy on Fondor, so it is a privilege to get away for a moment.
No answer came from Graemon, his eyes were off in a different direction. His eyes glanced for a moment at Doctor Jameroo, wondering when she would start asking the same question involving his eyepatch. Certainly, she must have thought that it was a bit archaic. He did take notice that she was making her way to his proximity and that of the others gathered within his vicinity. A warming sight seeing as she had taken notice of his gaze and he took notice of hers.
His gaze and thoughts were interrupted, however, by the approach of Chase Hargrave, commander of the now Coalition First Fleet, who caught his attention sharply. A rightful place, considering his career within the former Galactic Alliance Defense Fleet. Rumors abounded that he might even be the future commander of the Redemption, which was still going through its necessary work.
Vice-Admiral Hargrave, it is good to see you. I am certainly enjoying myself. We haven't had much time to speak in a formal place beyond the meeting that witnessed the ratification of the Articles of the Coalition. I want to take this time to congratulate you on your fleet's designation as the Coalition First Fleet.

Inclining his head at the mention of the Coalition First Fleet, the Admiral smiled warmly.
"I've dedicated my life to my work son. Republic, Empire, Remnant, Alliance. Same work, different flag. Given my experience, and the Coalition's lack of seasoned officers, it was my duty to step up and fulfill the role I was given. So long as we can bring and end to the horrors that the First Order have unleashed upon the citizens of the galaxy, I am happy to be of service. Your shipyards have made it possible for the First Fleet. You are deserve the credit where its due, Baron."
Without the Fondorian Shipyards and the Baron's younger brother, Hargrave wouldn't have a fleet to command. Truly they were the valued ones here, not him. He was just a tired old man, stuck in his ways and too stubborn to quit.

Chase Hargrave, stubborn and humble, an interesting combination, thought Graemon. He recalled how they shared the battlefield over Taris and the reports of him battling with Grand Admiral Petrovsky over Adumar and Mon Calamari. He was an old commander, but in a way, he was the Gilad Pellaeon of the Coalition.
Fondor's shipyards will continue to perform its role for the Coalition, Admiral. Certainly, the commander of the First Fleet and the fleet itself will be remembered as an elite formation that fought at the tip of the spearhead in an effort to liberate the galaxy from oppression and tyranny.
Nearby, people rose their glasses and let loose a 'hear hear!' at the statement made by Graemon. Jacques Hu and Chase Hargrave were war heroes and their faces would do well for the public. One was now the Prime Minister of the Coalition and the other was among the senior, and most seasoned, of the navy's commanders. It was good to have both on their side and helping with the effort towards a better future.
Graemon took notice of how quiet Doctor Jameroo was. Maybe she was waiting for an introduction, either one presented by herself or presented by another among them. Graemon decided to take the initiative. He motions to Lynne, offering her to come up and join with those present, letting her into this small gathering with the Prime Minister. The Baron, while gesturing to Lynne, would have his gaze fixated on both the Prime Minister and Admiral Hargrave.
Gentlemen, allow me to present Doctor Lynne Jameroo, Captain of the Endless Salvation. She is one of the leading doctors in handling the refugee crisis that we have been doing our best at tackling. She brought the people's concerns personally to my attention, something that we should recognize. Her initiative and dedication to the homeless and sick has ensured they are being taken well care of today.

Colonel Rico was sitting in the security room in the mansion, monitoring the holos. Rico was dressed in his usual attire, nothing fancy like the party goers outside. Rico was coordinating the security for this celebration for the Prime Minister of the Coalition. A part of him wished he could be out there celebrating with the others, then he remembered that the party scene wasn't his strong suit. Rico was better suited for behind the scenes type of work, such as his current job of coordinating security. Rico could spot several big wigs such as the Prime Minister, Baron Gorgano, Admiral Hargrave, Marcus Starmane and Doctor Jameroo, who was also a Captain. Rico turned on the security teams comms and started to check in with the team leaders.Team One, report in.All good sir.Team Two, report in.All clear, sir.Teams Three and Four, report in.All clear on our end sir.Looks good here as well, sir.Good work people, continue on your designated patrol paths and keep me apprised of anything interesting. Rico out. With said, Rico turned off his commlink, but kept the comms open so that he could hear and respond to the teams should they have any question or situations to report in. He was sure that though the evening would be a lively one it wouldn't be anything that he and his security teams couldn't handle.

With that brief toast to the fighting men and women of the Coalition, Hargrave sips his drink. As Gorgano introduced Doctor Jameroo, Hargrave added in his own comment.
"And one of the most courageous Captains I have ever had the pleasure of serving with!"
While certainly attractive, Lynne was one helluva doctor and a solid captain. Unshakable and devoted to the cause. They certainly didn't make them like her any more. Mind you, this whole group of people were really quite spectacular. Despite the losses, hardships and horrors endured, they still persevered and pushed forward. Much like himself, they too, were too stubborn to quit. And that, in and of itself, was impressive.

Lynne had not expected such an introduction and she blushed hard. Even her makeup couldn't hide her crimson. But nonetheless she gave a smile to Graemon before turning to the Admiral and Prime Minister. Raising her own glass to them her face became very serious.
=Lynne= I have wanted to thank the pair of you for the better part of a year now. Were it not for your brave actions above Dac, my frigate and all her patients would not have survived the battle. It was the space you created that allowed Endless Salvation to slip through and get the wounded to safety. And for that you have my thanks.
She downed her glass of Corellian Brandy (not her first of the night mind you) and then threw her arms around both men in a surprisingly strong embrace before seemingly coming back to her scenes and brushing our some wrinkles on Hargraves uniform. Once more looking very embarrassed and now avoiding eye contact from the dignitaries.
=Lynne= Sorry. Sorry. Sorry...

Graemon was delighted to see Lynne get her due recognition for what she had accomplished for the Coalition. These refugees slept easier and were well fed thanks to the care and dedication of people like her. It came to no surprise that she was praised for her work. After all, reflecting on their previous conversations, Graemon knew she wanted to make a difference and loved helping people.
When she gave her hug to the two individuals for what they had done over Mon Calamari, there were no negative remarks from what the Fondorian noticed. Even Graemon chuckled a little, seeing the young Doctor's reaction to her own action. There were even some small chuckles from others around them. Gorgano thinks for a moment on how he should react himself. After a second, his hand is placed gently on her back, indicating to her that everything was alright. Graemon gently pats her back in the hopes of restoring her confidence.
I bet these two appreciate what you have said and done, Lynne. After all, these two are great war heroes who stood against the Imperial juggernaut over Mon Calamari and risked their lives fighting against tyranny. These men are deserving of their reputation and of our praise!
Graemon then looks at the fine uniform of the Admiral.
I doubt Admiral Hargrave minds if his uniform gets ruffled for the sake of a personal thank you.
