Alessia returns to the Gledalac just in time to sent right back out to meet again with LaGyle, Razmik having tasked Armin with retrieving their payment for the delivery so that the credits can be logged and an attempt almost certain to fail can be made to try and trace the credits to a useful point of origin that might help build a case against the criminal organization that has set up on the island. Razmik and Wenqian prepare the Gledalac for departure while Alessia sets out once more.
Spotting LaGyle waiting near her speeder after arriving near one of the island's many picturesque beaches, Alessia waves and heads over, greeting the CorSec agent dryly, "Long time no see. So, the blonde haired Morganian says as she leans against the hood of the speeder and crosses her arms over her chest, where's the rest of the gang? We aren't going to be waiting too long are we?"

Returning Alessia's hello with a nod of her head, Arrienne then answers the question about when everyone else will be arriving by pointing at a tiny blue skinned Toydarian accompanied by a thirtiesh-looking humanoid male, one walking while the other flies towards the speeder Arrienne and Alessia are standing by, explaining, "The Toydarian is Dev Urnth, my partner. Human with him is Johun Starfield, a Jedi Knight from the Order's academy here on Corellia that has agreed to help with the investigation."
Once Dev and Johun have joined them, Arrienne introduces her partner and the Jedi to Alessia, "This is Alessia Salinitri, an undercover Sector Ranger. She and the others with her commanding officer's crew have managed to get a foot in the door with the group we're going after. They'll be the inside people, with you two handling all the outside work like watching and recording and the even more exciting documenting and logging and filing that goes with it. That's assuming things go well of course, and you'll also want to be ready to be more . . . action oriented if the Rangers get into a jam, can't risk blowing their cover to stop something horrible from going down, or things go sideways some other way."

Johun nodded to each as they were introduced.
I am here to help in whatever capacity I can.

Lifting a hand to wave as she is introduced to the Jedi and the Toydarian that are going to be working with them, Alessia nods after LaGyle has explained the situation to her partner and Knight Starfield. "Agent LaGyle has summed things up pretty well, the thirty eight year old Morganian says, we really have just taken the first steps in this investigation. What we'll be looking for from you, she addresses Johun's statement about helping in whatever capacity he can, at least initially, is surveillance and working with the local CorSec agents to put together a case that can go to prosecution."
"The next step, Alessia goes on, for me and mine is to get back in touch with the scum running the Ryloth side of things to arrange to make another spice run from there to here. When that goes down, she nods her chin towards Johun and Dev, you two will follow the schutta who take the delivery and try to figure out who they report to with the ultimate goal of figuring out who is running things on the island here. While we're heading to Ryloth and working on getting another delivery, you two need to get set up here on the island with cover stories and a base of op that will survive the scrutiny you might come under if the criminal organization operating here is half as competent as we think they are."

Bobbing his head up and down as Alessia explains the next steps to be taken by all members of the newly forged investigative team he and Johun will be a part of, giving the Sector Ranger two thumbs up as he hovers near Johun's shoulder, Dev grins and says eagerly, "Alrighty then! You go get yourselves some spice, and we'll take care of setting up shop here so that we're up and running by the time you get back. Elbowing Johun in the ribs after fluttering his wings at a slower rate to drop down a bit, the Toydarian asks the Jedi, Right buddy?"
Arrienne, clapping her hands together like she is calling the meeting to an end, anxious to break the gathering up to avoid the remote possibility someone might see them all together and remember them at a later date, risking blowing their respective intended cover stories, says, "Cool. Now that we all know what we're doing next, let's go do it."
As the group breaks up, Dev scratches his stubbled chin, asking Johun, "So, where should we set up shop? I'm thinking something beach front. Fits the whole tourist slash harmless vacationing party dudes cover, am I right?"

"We'll be in touch," Alessia tells the Toydarian before making her farewells to LaGyle and Starfield.
After returning to the starport, Alessia reports all that has been arranged with CorSec and the Jedi, and then helps him prepare the Gledalac for the return journey to Ryloth. Once the Nemesis-class patrol ship has been prepped, Razmik and Alessia take the ship up, making for orbit once they have made the course adjustments needed to bring them onto the flight path assigned to them.

Sketching a farewell salute to Alessia as the undercover Sector Ranger takes her leave, Arrienne shakes her head with a chuckle as she listens to Dev and Johun discuss their plans, jokingly chiding them, "Yeah, just remember you're here to root out injustice and yadda yadda, not work on your tans and sip rum while ogling bikini clad tourists."
Covering his heart, adopting a sincere and sober expression as he flaps his wings to hover in the air, Dev says, "The thought never occurred to me, honest. Grinning, the Toyarian waggles his eyebrows as he says, But sipping rum on the beach just might make our cover more convincing now that you mention it."
"Uh huh, Arrienne says, rolling her eyes as she tells Johun in an amused tone, I'm counting on you to keep this idiot in line and on task, and then nods toward her speeder as she says, I'm off. Contact me one you two have a base of ops set up, and I'll see that you get the surveillance gear you need. We'll figure out a way to collect anything you turn up and all that once we have a better idea of how entrenched this organization is. Cool? Cool," she concludes, waving before setting out for her speeder.
Hours later, once he and Johun have settled on a suitable piece of property - not too upscale or ideally situated to be too conspicuous, but located near enough to major traffic areas so that they should have little problems following any suspects that their investigation might turn up - Dev contacts Arrienne to arrange for the delivery of the equipment they will need to surveil and collect evidence against the organization they are helping to investigate.
"Should have everything by tomorrow evening, the blue-skinned Toydarian tells Johun once he has finalized the arrangements with Arrienne, sighing as he adds, Now comes the hard part. waiting for something to happen."

Jouhn
Ah yes waiting. My favorite part.
Johun sat on the floor in the Lotus position. He placed his hands on his knees. He inhaled and exhaled slowly, as he began to meditate.

Dev gives a rueful chuckle, accompanied by a sympathetic nod of his head, agreeing, "Oh yeah, definitely the most attractive and appealing part of these kinds of jobs, for sure."
Seeing that Johun has elected to meditate, the tiny blue-skinned Toydarian resists his usual tendency to chatter on whether he has anything substantial to say or not, and instead flaps his wings to take himself to the secured dataterminal they have been provided, settling down to review the files - scant as they are - sent by their local CorSec liaison detailing what has been learned of the handful of local players in the suspected smuggling operation on Vreni Island in the hopes that he might stumble onto a thread to pull that offers the chance of unraveling more of the operation.
Two hours and three cups of stim-caf later, Dev has come to the conclusion that the thread offering the best chance of leading to others more integral to the overall pattern is the low level minions which have been identified; following them could, the Toydarian believes, eventually reveal more than they already know. Hopefully, Dev thinks as he pulls up a local street map to identify the locations the minions are known to frequent so that he can choose one to sit on with Johun when the Jedi's meditation is concluded, the Sector Rangers they are working with will have better luck coming up with a solid lead to follow.

Johun opened his eyes. His meditation was much needed. Centering him in Ashla and sharpening his focus.
What is our next move Dev? I know you probably have been formulating something while I was meditating.
Johun stood, adjusting his clothing for comfort. Making sure his concealed light saber was still in place.

Grinning somewhat mischievously, Dev scoops up the keys to the speeder they have been provided for their operation as he says, "Our next move is to head out for a jar or two," winking as he tosses the keys to Johun and flaps his tiny blue wings to begin flying towards the door.
As they make their way to the speeder, the Toydarian explains, "Until we hear back from Razzie and his crew, the only local players we know enough about to consider following about in hopes of learning more are pretty low on the proverbial totem pole, if you know what I mean. But, he goes on as he flaps his wings and yanks the passenger door of the speeder open, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't do just that, does it? So, with that in mind, I did a bit of digging on what there is to know about the low on the totem pole players, and found that we stand a decent chance of crossing paths with them at a local pub called The Surly Wench. With a shrug of his tiny shoulders, the pot bellied Toydarian says, If nothing else, the pub has great reviews on the holonet, and tossing back a pint or two is not exactly a tough way to spend a few hours, right?"

Johun caught the keys and entered the speeder ad Dev spoke. These kinds of places do usually hold more information than they appear. Although, we shouldn't get out of control. In case something or someone does happen. Johun started teh speeder and headed towards the "The Surly Wench".

The Surly Wench
A trio of Klatoonian males dressed in loose fitting, casual clothing that conceals the blasters all three carry on them, is sitting at a table in the bar when Johun and Dev arrive. Bizot, the olive skinned Klatoonian in charge of the trio, impatiently glances at a chrono on a wall behind the bar, and then grumbles at his companions, both drinking more heavily than he would like, "Slow down nitwits. Pace yourselves, we've got a pick up to make in an hour."
"Ah, settle down mum, Kapil rumbles cheerily as he takes a drink from his nearly empty tankard. Not like we need to be sober as judges to put some boxes in the speeder and take them back to the restaurant, is it?"
"Why we gotta meet this new crew onna docks anyway? Mukul asks as he scratches the tip of his nose. Why couldn't they just land in the starport like the other crew?"
"Gotta vary the routine moron, Kapil answers, Besides, these guys know about the restaurant, unlike the new guys."
Smacking Kapil upside the head, Bizot, paranoid by nature and uncomfortable discussing business in even such a general way, says, "Shaddup. Just sit there and drink quietly," he sighs while glancing around to see if anyone appears to be taking more interest in their conversation than warranted, relaxing when he believes he sees nothing to concern him.

Johun entered "The Surly Wench" with Dev. He passively scanned with the Force, seeking out immediate dangers. Not finding any, he pointed to a table where he could nonchalantly observe the comings and goings of the pub.
Let's sit over there.

Once they have taken their seats at the table Johun points out, Dev says in a hushed tone, "Pretty sure those three Klatoonians at two o'clock are among those low on the totem pole types we talked about. Spotting a server droid, the tiny blue skinned Toydarian waves it over as he says to Johun, Hopefully they'll get up to something interesting, and aren't just out and about to tie one, right?"
Ordering an ale he intends to nurse as long as possible to make sure he's not impaired in any way in the event the Klatoonians move locations, Dev keeps an eye on the group without being obvious about doing so.

Possibly
Johun closes his eyes, focusing on the three Klatoonians through the Force. Trying to get a sense of their emotions.

The Surly Wench
As Johun focuses on the Klatoonian trio through the Force, he will easily be able to gain a general sense of each's emotional state as none of the three are either Force sensitive or practiced in the art of shielding their thoughts from Force users or telepaths.
As Johun gains a sense of what emotions Bizot - an olive skinned, tall, well muscled, and heavily scarred Klatoonian - is feeling most strongly, the Jedi will encounter primarily anxiety and fear. Bizot has only recently been promoted in the hierarchy of the criminal organization he belongs to, and as he understands all too well the consequences of either failing his superiors or being caught by CorSec or any of the other law enforcement agencies active in the Core Worlds, has found that the financial and other rewards of advancement in the criminal world come with a heavy price. Bizot has found that he is rarely able to relax and enjoy his newfound wealth or status, and always feels as though he is crossing a sea of ice that could give way beneath him at any time.
The emotions of Kapil, younger and not as experienced in the criminal life as Bizot, are a potentially volatile combination of boredom and impatience. Kapil had thought entering the criminal world would be more exciting than it has proved to be, his duties so far consisting primarily of picking up shipments of spice from the smugglers who bring it to Vreni Island and then bringing it elsewhere to be processed or sold. Kapil longs for the things he thought being a criminal would involve, daring escapes from CorSec involving airspeeder chases, blaster fights with the law or rival criminal gangs, and hedonistic revelries rather than the reality he has experienced so far of simply waiting around for packages he will then deliver.
Mukul, Johun will sense, is the least emotionally complex of the three Klatoonians. Mukul is the oldest of the three, and has not only realized that he will never advance any further than he has, but has also made his peace with that fact. Mukul has found that he prefers being told what to do to having to plan things or worry about the things that come with a higher pay grade than his own. What Mukul feels above all else is a sense of contentment, he earns enough to live comfortably, does not often have to work hard, and has none of the headaches that come with greater responsibilities.
Taking his datapad from a pocket of his lightweight jacket, the movement briefly revealing the blaster he wears in a shoulder holster, Bizot taps the screen, uses a finger to scroll through a message, and then says to his companions in a whisper, "The lads in Coronet say Jang and his crew have just cleared customs, so we've got a bit before they'll be able to ferry things to the docks here. Finish your drinks, then we'll head to the docks."

Johun looks at Dev.
They may prove very informative. We should tail them. They are on some sort of job, not sure exactly though.

Grinning and clinking his mug of ale against an imaginary one in front of Johun, the tiny blue-skinned Toydarian CorSec undercover agent says, "I guess we'll just have to try our darndest to find that out, eh? Setting his mug back down after taking a teeny-tiny sip from it, Dev asks, So, how should we do this? Both of us stay here and follow 'em all sneaky-like when they leave? Or one stays here and the other waits out in the speeder to minimize the chances we're seen together?"
