As they continued to follow Halmner towards whatever watering hole he had determined would suit their purpose, a sensation tickled away at the older Jedi's mind. He looked back towards the Academy, eyes scanning the facility as though it held the answer to some unasked question. He stopped mid-walk and stood still for a moment, focusing his mind on delving into the less physical and more ethereal elements of the world around him. It was almost a pressure on his mind that could only be relieved by following his Force gifted intuition. Frowning, he spoke to the other two individuals in his company.
"Apologies Halmner, Millie. I'm afraid I'll have to take a raincheck on that drink. An urgent matter has arisen that requires my attention."
He could have explained further why exactly he had to leave, but the truth would be more complicated to describe than simply excusing himself. Besides, maybe it was nothing more than his age addled mind playing tricks on him, though he didn't believe that to be the case. When the Force spoke to you, it was usually best to listen, at least in his experience.
Excusing himself, Endor began to walk towards the Academy hangar bay.

Having walked the distance between Coronet Xeonon was now covered in a film of sweat and dirt. Although he had not been pressing hard, the heat of the day had bore down on the Imperial none the less. For once he was thankful that he was not in his armour, having left it back in the city instead he had donned a duster he had fashioned for him for moments such as this when he could not walk as an Imperial Knight. Under that duster Xeonon did however wear his Cortosis gauntlets and carried a lightsaber in one of its pockets.
Slicking his hair back as he approached the the stairwell at the Northern entrance he sighed heavily. It was always stairs. Although not as grandiose as some of the temples he had seen there was no denying the grandeur of this academy. It was certainly more beautiful than anything the Imperial Nights had used for their homes. Walking up the stairs he held his hand up to greet the Jedi standing at the entrance. Hello, I was hoping to gain entry to the temple and hopefully speak to Master Frantz if he is present.

One of the Knights on duty at the front door turned a wide Corellian smile on the newcomer who approached him. The young Corellian Knight listened to the man's request before frowning slightly. The Headmaster is currently at the academy although his schedule can be somewhat hectic. We can send him a message to forward your request for a meeting, although I can't guarantee he'll have the time to see you today. If you'll just give me your name and what business you are here to discuss I'll forward that along. The man was clearly force sensitive though he doubted that he was a member of the Jedi Order, otherwise he wouldn't have needed help from one of the main entrance guardians, Still the Academy wasn't in the habit of turning people away without good reason.

The large man considers protesting, but shrugs it off. Maybe the odd man did have someplace to be. By this point he had drawn on the Force and replenished his energy. However he still liked the sound of a protine shake. He turned to the young lady. Well, you and I can still get a drink. You can tell me what brings you here to the Academy and I can see if I can help you. What is your favorite drink?

[ Ami-Lee Westar | Entrance Hall | Jedi Academy | Corellia ] Attn: Endor & Halmner Strom Millie mulled the question over in her head and considered it carefully. She felt a strange and unexplainable sensation, and looked at the older man, and for some odd reason, thought it was him that was causing this odd feeling in her. She felt like shuddering, but she wasn't afraid, or cold, or anything, the weather was pleasant and she was suitably clothed for almost any weather condition, so why?
Mentally shaking her head, she chose to ignore this unexplainable thing and just answer the question, “More th' latter than th' former. But cain't say that it ain't possible I'm not thinkin' straight.”
She gestured to the Jedi Temple they were standing in, “I have as much in common with th' Jedi as a Hutt...oh.”
Endor suddenly headed off without a single look back. Considering her own brusque nature at times, the woman didn't fault him or even took offense. She smiled at Halmner as he suggested they continue on. He seemed nice. Almost muscle-brained, but a lady could appreciate that in a man at times. Usually meant he was predictable. Maybe even reliable. Millie liked predictable and reliable.
“Much obliged,” she said, “I'm partial t' sweet fizzy drinks that don't wallop the mind in any way. Know a joint that fits th' bill?”

Halmner never drank alcohol, he often forgot about it's effects. So he was confused at the girl's statements at first. He laughed when it hit him. OH! I don't drink stuff like that... The last time I was here, there was a great juice place a few blocks away. He starts to point to the left, stops shakes his head, and points straight ahead. It is this way!

She followed the big man, her stride much greater than normal just to keep up with him.

The man was clearly force sensitive though he doubted that he was a member of the Jedi Order, otherwise he wouldn't have needed help from one of the main entrance guardians, Still the Academy wasn't in the habit of turning people away without good reason. Xeonon inwardly sighed. He had already spent far too much time getting to the planet and throwing off any trails he may have picked up along the way. He may not have known what his time table was but with every passing second he got closer to whatever Dragus had planned. Can you let him know that Floyd Thursby is here to speak to him and that if he can't meet with me today I will be able to meet with him as soon as he is available. It is somewhat urgent though, I was recommended to speak to him by a friend of a friend regarding his knowledge of bonds between two force users. As he spoke Xeonon adjusting and cleaned himself up from his hike to the temple. Brushing off the dust and dirt that had fallen onto his black dyed Zeyd-cloth duster. As the dirt came off, one could see the redish tint speckled through the length of the duster a side effect from having it dyed with Norris Root. To those with keen eyes they may be able to see the shell spider silk that lined the interior of the suit. Hidden from view along the back, chest, and one arm were three energy cells woven underneath the spider silk which when activated would allow him to activate an energy shield.
After a lifetime of wearing armour it was hard for a man like Xeonon to take it off and not take precautions. He had requested Panno, the Master Armourer of the Imperial Knights create something for him to wear while undercover that would provide him with plenty of protection without setting off any red flags. To the majority of people Xeonon looked like nothing more than a well dressed person the anonymity adding further protection.

The big man led them around the block, then up a street. He was sure that if he kept going he would remember the way. It has been years since I have been back at the academy. I have been on ready support for a long time. I am not great at ideas... But when you need someone to look tough in the background or extract someone from a hostile place, I go in. It's stressful. I really missed the gardens here.

A message arrives via a holo transmitter from the world of Lianna. Though encrypted and seen safe by the security systems, portions of the message seem to be corrupted, as the file is sent to various destinations and neighbouring Jedi systems.
One, who would listen to the message, would hear the following words from a human captain:To all the Jedi, we have failed! Master Tycon has fallen in the battle of Raxus Prime, they are coming! [ Ami-Lee Westar | Entrance Hall | Jedi Academy | Corellia ] Attn: Halmner Strom Millie listened to Halmner go on about his life and position. Seemed like he was a specialist of some kind. But he also seemed to have a kind heart, and it made her smile wistfully. She could relate on some level. “So ya've been away from 'ere some time?” asked Millie.
She was just about to say something else when she heard the announcement. “What in the blazes?!?”
Despite seeing many battles and injuries of all kinds, something about that message was exceptionally disturbing, unnerving. And the blonde shook her head, “Whaddaya make of that?” She asked Halmner.

Brielle pauses as she reaches the foot of the stairs leading up to the academy entrance, using the moment to afford herself a final opportunity to weigh all of the potential pros and cons that she can imagine of continuing up the stairs against those presented by turning away from them instead. Brielle has done the calculations before, many times over many more years than her youthful appearance suggests have been available to her, and she is not surprised when she completes them again now and then resolutely begins ascending the stairs rather than retreating from them and whatever future for her doing so might hold in store.
Brielle appears to be a dark haired, olive complected human or near-human female in her early teens, and is, as befits one raised by an adopted Epicanthix family on Panatha, dressed in loose-fitting, comfortable clothing suitable for travel that, while simple and practical, is also possessed of an understated panache. As she reaches the top of the stairs, Brielle begins looking around for any students or instructors that might be able to direct her to where she needs to go in order to seek admission to the academy.

Knight Johun Starfield sitting in a lotus position by the front entrance of the academy. He sat with his eyes closed meditating, sinking himself into the Force. He felt the new presence approach. He could sense her Force sensitivity also.
Hello young one, welcome to Corellia.

Taking note of the young male Jedi in a seated meditation position when she reaches the top of the stairs, Brielle is debating whether or not to disturb him when his telepathic communication reveals that, as she realizes in hindsight should not be terribly surprising at all, her concern about interrupting his meditation is unwarranted given that he had probably been aware of her approach from the moment she set foot onto the academy grounds.
Being referred to as a young one is something Brielle is more than a little accustomed to given the length of time she has had to come to terms with how the discrepancy between her apparent age and actual age is so pronounced and understandably colors the way others see and interact with her, and so even though it is somewhat amusing to be called young by someone she estimates is perhaps around one fourth of her chronological age, she decides that addressing the matter can wait for another time.
Stopping a few feet in front of the seated Jedi, Brielle clears her mind and focuses on replying telepathically to the Jedi as clearly and concisely as she can.
Hello, sir. Thank you for your welcome. I have come to the academy here on Corellia in the hopes of being trained to be a Jedi.

Johun visibly smiles, He opened his piercing green eyes, looking upon what appeared to be a teenaged girl.
Well then, you have certainly come to a place that can help you with that.
Johun stood to his full 6' height. He bowed to the new arrival.
I am Jedi Knight Johun Starfield. Pleasure to meet you.

Brielle, returning Knight Starfield's bow with a smile of her own, has to look up at him after he stands to his full height as she is, at 4'4", so much shorter than he.
I am Brielle Giovane, and it is an honor to meet you, Knight Starfield.
Clasping her hands behind her back, Brielle, more still than many adolescents tend to be, pauses a moment to collect her thoughts before speaking next as she wishes to represent herself well, and does not want to appear impatient or overeager. Knight Starfield has assured her that the academy will be able to train her, but Brielle imagines that in addition to any typical tests one seeking admittance might face before being accepted as an initiate, her somewhat unique ancestry will undoubtedly factor in on any decision about whether or not she is ultimately accepted into the academy. Thinking about her ancestry, and the historical fates of all those who have shared it and sought to become Jedi, naturally causes an all too familiar sense of anxiety to build within Brielle, but she does her best to keep it from entering her voice or effecting the clarity of her thought when she speaks next.
What can you tell me, Knight Starfield, about the admission process?

I know much. I began and continue my training here.
Johun could sense some apprehension. He was unsure of its root, but it would come out, in its own time.
You are Force sensitive, so there's that. Johun smirked a little, amused by himself.
Tell me, Brielle Giovane, about you.

Brielle laughs when Knight Starfield jokes that the fact she is Force sensitive is a good start, and is visibly set more at ease by his overall demeanor. Though Brielle remains as still as before, her hands clasped behind her back, her posture is more at ease as she smiles and makes a joke of her own before replying to his request to tell her about herself.
One requirement already met, and I have yet to even step through the doors.
Pausing to consider how much information would be too much, not wanting to overwhelm Knight Starfield with an over abundance of detail, Brielle decides that an abbreviated history would be best at this stage, and then looks up at the Jedi as she provides her answer.
Not long after I was born, while I was still an infant, a Jedi Investigator discovered me in the course of an investigation. He could sense, naturally, that I was Force sensitive, and since I was an orphan he took me to Panatha to be raised by his family. I knew him as my uncle, and his parents as my grandparents. My uncle was often away, as his duties demanded most of his time, and so my grandparents brought me up as their own. When he decided I was old enough, my uncle told me about my Force sensitivity, and, as often as time permitted him, even taught me a little about how to use some basic abilities it can allow one to utilize. He also taught me about what it is to be a Jedi in the event that was what I decided to be.
Smiling as she decides she has said enough for the moment, Brielle concludes her brief biography.
Obviously, I ultimately decided that I did want to become a Jedi, and so have come here.

Johun listens intently, hearing what Brielle says, but also feeling her emotions in the Force.
That is indeed interesting. It sounds like your uncle has started you on your path.
Johun thinks a moment.
What all did you learn about the Jedi?

Brielle smiles when Knight Starfield expresses his opinion that her uncle had begun her journey upon the path to be a Jedi, her respect and admiration for her adopted uncle evident in her voice and in her emotions when she speaks of him.
Brielle arches an eyebrow in mild confusion when Knight Starfield asks her what she has learned of the Jedi, the scope of the question broad enough that she is uncertain at first where to begin answering it, but she recovers quickly and speaks confidently once she has chosen how to answer the question.
Well, sir, I am familiar with the history of the Order, from its founding on Ahch-To by the Prime Jedi, to the High Republic and beyond. More important, or meaningful, than specific dates, battles or even the names of influential Jedi in the history of the Order, however, I think, is that the history of the Order demonstrates how it has always evolved to fit the times and circumstances it was in. During, for instance, the Old Republic the Jedi were warriors when needed to fight against the Mandalorians, while the beginnings of the Modern Galactic Republic saw the Jedi Order become the peacekeepers the times required.
Even the Jedi Code has evolved to match the times, Grand Master Skywalker, for example, created two known variants on the Code most are more familiar with, the earliest version itself a translation by Rectonia.
What has remained constant throughout all of the changes in the Code or the role of the Order in the universe, is that the Jedi honor and protect life, serve the Force, help those in need, and defend the weak against those who would oppress them.
Brielle's reverance for the Jedi Order is unmistakably manifest in her voice and emotions as she speaks, and though she does not reassert her desire to be a Jedi, that she truly does is clear all the same.
