Terra shrugged as she thoughtfully chewed her mouthful of food. She had never been picky about what she ate since joining the Jedi, having had to endure far worse while growing up as a slave. Still, there had to be at least one or two dishes that she preferred over everything else, and she took a moment after finishing her bite of food to think about it."Um..."She shrugged again."Honestly...I never really thought about it before. I'm...not picky when it comes to food."

*Jake awaited Terra's answer, which she seemed to have to think about for a moment. Her answer was surprising: She'd never thought about it before, and she wasn't picky about her food. Surely she at least had to have some sort of preference for— Jake's eyes widened at the realization when he recalled that she'd said she was a slave at one point in her life. She'd probably learned to take what was given to her and not complain about it.
Jake grimaced and looked down at his own plate, wondering if it would be tasteless to continue the subject. Unfortunately, the pun registered in his mind and he had to stifle an amused snort quickly. Now that was tasteless; would Terra think he was laughing at the fact that she had once been a slave?! No! He wouldn't! He had to quickly clear this up.* S-sorry! I-I wasn't laughing at you! I was, was just laughing at a joke I made... in my head... it... wasn't really that funny... *He blushed and looked at his plate again. In his haste, he decided to continue the original topic and hope that was fine.* ... I guess I don't really have any favorites either. Well, all my family really likes bacon I guess... I do too! But... well, I like a lot of foods too. I dunno. I guess I don't have a favorite either. *... huh, maybe that'd turn out better than he thought or hoped. It wasn't half-bad an answer, and hey, that meant that he and Terra had something in common! That was always nice too.*

Terra wasn't sure what Jake found so funny, but judging by his reaction right after in trying to clear it up, maybe he thought he was being offensive. He was trying to cover it though, and it was obvious to her that he hadn't meant anything by it. No use getting worked up about it, or so Serrin probably would have told her.
She smiled a little when Jake told her that he really didn't have any favorite foods either, well except maybe bacon. Terra liked bacon too, but then again, she also liked a lot of other foods too. Just like Jake did. Well it seemed they had a little something in common after all."I like bacon...especially on a bantha burger."Unfortunately there hadn't been any bacon on the lunch menu...

*Jake grinned when Terra mentioned liking bacon too, especially on a bantha burger. Well, Jake liked bacon on things, though he had to admit he liked it by itself the most. As for what to say to Terra, he wasn't exactly sure, so he said the only thing he could think of.* Burgers are good. *Seriously? That was it? "Burgers are good"? That was pointlessly obvious. Everyone loved burgers! ... okay, not everyone, but a lot of people did.*

Terra giggled and nodded. Burgers were good indeed, even if they weren't always the most healthy choice out there, at least according to Serrin. Still, she didn't eat them every day, but one time back on Corellia she had put bacon on one and it was good, though her master had frowned a bit at that. She made sure from then on to eat such a thing sparingly."They are. But Master Roma told me they aren't healthy though, so I don't eat them too much."

*At least Terra thought it was funny, but she did agree that burgers were indeed good. Though she had to add that someone named "Master Roma" had told her they weren't healthy so she didn't eat them often. Unlike Morgan, Jake didn't know about Master Roma, so he was briefly curious, but continued the existing conversation first.* Yeah, my dad says the same thing. I mean, he doesn't make us not eat them, but he wants us to be healthy, so I eat good foods most of the time. I'm used to it anyway; it's how I used to eat on Yavin. *He shrugged, glancing down at his plate, staring at it a moment, then took another bite of food. He chewed it, mulling over some thoughts, then swallowed it and looked back up at Terra.* What's Master Roma like?

Terra sighed softly, thinking on her master for a moment. To her, Serrin Roma was probably the closest thing to a mother she would ever have, kind, compassionate, never judgmental about her past, the list went on. In a way, Serrin was everything she thought a Jedi should be, the ideal she strove for in her training every day. Come to think of it, she was pretty much Terra's only friend on Corellia that she spent any significant time with, save for Ralph. Thinking about this just made her miss Serrin even more, even though it had really only been a few days since she had seen her master last. She seemed to be staring off into space as she replied to Jake after a moment."She's really nice...I'm sorry if that's...vague. It's hard to explain..."

*Jake neglected his food as he watched Terra think on her answer before she could give it. When she finally did answer, it was... vague, something she apologized for. Terra said it was "hard to explain," though Jake was still confused. How was it hard to talk about one's own Master? Well, he wasn't going to press the issue, so he only shrugged and looked back at his plate.* I don't have a Master yet. I just take classes. Dad teaches me some stuff sometimes, but Morgan and Michelle are his Padawans already, so he's not my Master. That's okay though, he's still my dad. *He smiled as he thought about his father, how readily he'd accepted the boy into the family and loved him unconditionally. It was that love that had allowed Jake to so easily love him back and transition into the family. But his pleasant thoughts were broken as a sudden thought came to him: Terra would have no clue who Michelle was. Quickly looking up at Terra, he began to explain.* Oh, Michelle's our aunt, but she's only eleven. She's our dad's younger sister. She's really good, too! At like, using her lightsaber and running and acrobatics and stuff. She's better than a lot of students that are older than her too. I didn't know until I saw her practice though, because she doesn't really talk about it. But she's really nice too. And funny.

Terra wondered why she was having so much trouble just making a simple description, but then she had never really thought much about it before. Maybe it was because she really did miss Serrin, and if it wasn't for Morgan and Jake, she would have found this whole trip one very lonely experience. Listening to Jake, she noticed that he was talking without becoming flustered again, so that was nice...
She smiled."It sounds like you're in good hands."

Hey guys, how ya doin'? *Morgan had just entered the dining area, and of course had immediately noticed where Jake and Terra were sitting together. As usual, Lokay was on her shoulder; tailrings needed to eat too, after all. She was grinning as she appeared standing between the two, looking up at both of them. She had to admit, she was slightly surprised they were together right now, but she probably wasn't interrupting anything. Hopefully not, anyway.*

Terra smiled at Morgan."Hi Morgan. Jake and I were talking. We got hungry so we came here."She wasn't surprised to see Lokay sitting on Morgan's shoulder, though she was glad that Rush wasn't around. An akk in a dining area might be a bit much. She wondered what Morgan had been up to for most of the day, figuring it was probably training or something like that.

*Morgan couldn't help but wonder what the two had been talking about, but only grinned at the greeting and giggled at Terra's reasoning for being in the dining area.* Well, yeah, that's why people come to eating places! *Morgan giggled again, then started to back away.* I'm hungry too, so I'm gonna get some food, but I'll be back in a second! *With a wave, she turned and ran off to the serving area with Lokay, ready to get her some food and some for Lokay as well. Then she could come back and chat with her brother and friend.*

*Jake only nodded when Terra noted that he was in good hands, but from there didn't know what else to say. Fortunately, Morgan arrived just in time to vindicate him; no doubt she could provide some more conversation and help take the load off Jake for a bit. He smiled at her and Lokay as they arrived, then watched as she ran off to the serving area before looking back up at Terra.* We eat together a lot. *He paused for a moment, then smiled sheepishly.* I guess that's obvious...

Terra giggled and nodded, figuring that these two would eat together quite a bit, being brother sister and all. She was also giggling at Morgan's comment about why people came to dining halls, though that was more because it was kind of a silly thing to say. Of COURSE people went to get food when they were hungry!
She pushed her plate aside, having finished eating and turned to Jake."I guessed that you two eat together a lot. You're brother and sister after all."

*Yep. Obvious indeed. Jake only shrank a little, blushing as he meekly took another bite of food, waiting for Morgan to return and hopefully pull him out of this hole he kept digging...*

*Morgan returned to the table with two plates of food, one for herself and one with meats for Lokay, who had, as usual, been extending his neck and sniffing impatiently at the plate before Morgan could set it down for him to eat. As soon as it touched the table, he was already scrambling down and digging into his raw, bloody meats; something Morgan had gotten used to and wasn't even mildly grossed out at anymore, though after a moment she looked up and grimaced apologetically.* Sorry if it's a little gross, he doesn't really eat a lot of cooked meat. Except bacon, but they didn't have any today. *Morgan actually seemed a little disappointed at this but then shrugged and climbed into her seat, taking up her fork and starting to eat. After a moment, with an empty mouth, she spoke again, smiling.* So what've you been up to today?

No bacon? Well it seemed she wasn't the only one who had been looking for bacon.
As for Morgan's question, Terra shrugged, her day having mostly consisted of reading and talking with Jake. And...well that had been it up to this point. Not much going on today, but she had needed a little break after the long day she had yesterday with Morgan. So the lack of excitement had at least been intentional on her part. She smiled at Morgan."Not much...just reading, and I chatted with Jake."

Not taking any notice to the others in the room Von walked in, the smell of food was his main interest for coming into the dining area. It had been many months since his last reasonable meal and the meat on Shyrack only went so far as to sustain his hunger for so long. Not caring much for the others in the room Von made his way to one of the open seats at the table. He made sure that he was away from conversation and away from prying eyes. He rarely had the opportunity to make conversation and so do to this his social skills were not what they should be. But he was still a young boy, so talking politics was really on his list of things to do. Having sat down Von placed his Sith Sword on the table beside him and pulled out his dagger, finding what looked like meat he stabbed his blade into the dish and pulled it onto a plate in front of him. Taking his hands he ripped it apart and placed it into his mouth. His hair covered his eyes as he peered around the room, Von looked like a wild animal coming into civilization for the first time as he consumed the food before him.

*Oh? Reading and talking? Curious, Morgan swallowed her current mouthful of food and leaned forward a little.* What'd you talk about? *Not that she suspected anything, since the idea of a little kid and a grownup having anything going on was silly. Laughably so even, and she fought the urge to giggle. Of course, it was no secret that Jake could be easily smitten by any woman he thought was pretty, but she was pretty sure that he wouldn't try to make anything serious come of these crushes. ... pretty sure.*

Terra giggled and shrugged. To be honest, they hadn't talked about anything special or secret, just had a normal conversation. She had wanted to get to know Jake a little better and she had done that, and he had managed to not be too shy with her."We just...talked. A little about family and books and food."
