Vasari's eyes narrowed further but she deactivated her blade and hooked it to belt of her skirt. She considered her options - quickly, and finally turned towards the book. If the Jedi had nothing for her then there was no reason to leave the book here. She could handle whatever horrors lay within... and if she could not do it alone, she had those who would aide her in the task. She was drawn to this place for a reason, and she would not leave empty handed. "Your Master has clearly made peace with the currents of the Living Force... my Clan calls them Current Riders. I've personally never seen one before today... only heard tell of my sisters who have accomplished such in the past. But clearly he has nothing for me." Vasari reached out her hands for the book - a flash of light - a russet colored ghost of a hand pressed against the leather bound prison and another pressing against her forehead as the Apparition of Gadriel'lora'lya returned. Vasari's eyes shot wide open and a green mist began to fall from them like ghostly tears. Her white irises when emerald green and her sight was taken from her - replaced momentarily with a glimpse of the universe passing by her field of vision at breakneck speed. Light years passed and parsecs traveled in an instant before constellations began flickering before her minds eye. "Incredible..." Was all she could manage before her sight was returned to her and the star maps that the Bothan had projected within her mind faded from her sight. She backed away stumbling over her left leg which seemed to give way beneath her weight as if for a moment all strength to bear her weight was pulled from it. She recovered quickly with the grace and balance of a Soresu Master yet the momentary weakness in her physical body had become obvious in her distraction - unknown to her yet, but caused by the touch of such a powerful Light Side presence that disrupted the balance within her spirit. While she recovered the Jedi's hand lifted from the book and he addressed Jair who could not have done much but stand and watch the scene play out before him. "The darkness has been sealed but i cannot hold it for long... If it is left here the rubble from this place will bury it for a time, but this evil cannot be destroyed by me... only guarded and contained for a short time, and my time here has passed. The decision falls to you Master Crawford... protect this Evil, or leave it for another to find. And if you see her again... tell her that I kept my promise - for as long as i could." Vasari recovered long enough to see a strange look take the Bothan's facial features - one she could not place - this was the first Bothan she had ever seen, and he wasn't even flesh and blood. Yet before she could study that expression further the Jedi raised his fist to his heart and lowered his head - a salute perhaps - and then he faded leaving a binding of light temporarily around the book that had brought the two of them here. Vasari let a silence hang between them for a short time before she looked back to the Jedi. "Who is she? Of whom was he speaking?"

Before Jair could ask any questions, the projection of Gadriel had vanished yet again. How was he supposed to figure out how to “protect this evil”? He didn’t have the resources to do such a thing. Or did he? All he knew was, the book was dangerous. Extremely so. And if the power that bound it was temporary, he didn’t want to be anywhere near it when that power faded. So then the question was, what to do with it? Perhaps that was something to discuss with the Grandmaster. But the Jedi was torn from his rambling thoughts at Lady Nightshades question, and then another wave of sentimentality passed through him.
“Master Raven Alora.”
Jair stated simply, yet quietly. Nobody knew where she was. Only that she had been on some top secret mission for a very long time.

Vasari noticed the hint of weakness in his voice - no doubt his mind was taking him to a time long ago. It was clear he had known the apparition when he was possibly still living, but while she was clearly still getting over the event herself she recovered much quicker than he - even if a part of her mind was still holding the star map in her head until she could get to a terminal to extract a location. She would have to wait until she was back aboard Viox' command ship for that however - she could not risk revealing the location of the book to the Jedi Archive computers - even if she was going to attempt to overload the system before she left.
Their moment of quiet was quickly brought to a close as a controlled explosive went off somewhere above them causing the entire room to shake and rubble to fall from the would be corners of the circular room. The meditation chamber would lose integrity soon enough, and even now she sensed a more growing danger approaching. She had to leave. Almost as if to mirror her ideas the ever flickering candle lights all went out - the last light in the room failing... or perhaps fleeing? Vasari felt more in balance as the oppressive feeling of light left the place and to fill the darkness she ignited a single end of her saberstaff and held it to one side like a torch.
"Make your choice Jedi... I am returning to the Archives - I advise you to make your way clear of this place. Should I find you above once I rejoin my men, I will not be able to spare you."
The red light from the saber was a bright wash against her tattooed skin, and the sound of her voice while flat and without much joy did not seem overly threatening. After all that had passed between them she did not wish to fight this Jedi - but if he persisted in interfering she would have no choice. There were still things left for her to do. The explosion above was an indication that Viox' soldiers had succeeded in destroying the hard-lined memory backup systems and so she would be missed soon enough.
"I suppose this is goodbye, Jedi."
She hesitated for a moment and then reached out a gloved arm towards Jair hand open in a clear offering...

Jair nodded at her words. He carefully took the book off of its resting place, and tucked it into his robe. He would figure out what to do with it with the help of the Grandmaster later. But to leave it here would be a mistake, and as much as he hesitated to handle it, Gadriel had successfully reassured him. Jair turned back to the Zabrak as the explosions from above rocked the corridor they were in. He extended his hand to meet hers.
“It would seem so. May the Force be with you Lady Nightshade.”
Jair could see such a bright potential with this one. He could only hope that her experience here would guide her to that potential, and whatever she was seeking could solidify her finding peace. She could keep up the fight for balance, but in staying with the Sith, it could only last so long. Either way, it was out of Jairs influence at this point.

Vasari squeezed the Jedi's hand with strength, confidence, and silent enthusiasm, all the hallmarks of a friend saying goodbye. The presence emanating from her mind was a steady balance of the Living Force unequal dark and light influences. The light from her saberstaff went out and when she released her grip on the Jedi's hand she slipped back into the shadows and up the corridor - moving the in darkness with all the grace and stealth of a nocturnal huntress.
She made the entry room in barely a minute and was on her communicator a half moment later connecting with Savage's team. She hesitated a moment considering something and then mentally reached out to Major Kage - hesitantly touching the soldiers mind - connecting to him with an outstretched form of her own battle meditation's energy, followed soon after by a message through her own thoughts to his.
<<Meet me in the second floor communications center. Spread your team out to cover the main exit, we'll use that as our exfil to get back to the group. There is one more thing we need before we destroy this place... I sense Master Ifrit has a similar Idea.>>

Jair waited for a bit, giving her plenty of time to reach her destination. He heeded her words, but was not ready to abandon the base. He felt there was still much he could do. And his fellow Jedi were still in there defending the base. He traced his steps back out of the dark corridors using the Force and eventually made his way out of the Archives, picking up some left over datapads along the way. Thankfully it seemed the vast majority of the Archives were spared and evacuated. He headed back into the base.

The smell of singed cloth and sizzling flesh greeted his senses, as did the white hot pain of the fresh wound. Jarring him back to his senses, the Zabrak roared angrily in pain and loosed a sudden, uncontrolled burst of Force energy, shoving anything near him backwards... ~Second Floor - Communications Center~Vasari had just reached the second floor of the archive building when she felt what she could only explain as a tear in the Living Force, followed by a savage roar of pain, soon after followed by an explosion of Force energy coming from the battle outside. The power was intense to be felt across the base complex, and the roar was very distinct... It was her Master. She paused and turned towards the sound and the outburst of power reaching out to attempt to touch her Master's mind. She reached out and braced herself along the banister of the stairway she had just ascended and opened her own reserves of power stored during her infiltration and reformed her Battle Meditation link with the Zabrak Sith Master - normally she would balance the pain he was feeling, but she knew that her Master would use that pain to fuel his own rage to dominate the battle - and so she simply provided him with the mental clarity and focus her mind hinged on, hoping that her focus would grant him to ability to focus that build up of rage more towards his own opponent."Where are we?"Vasari called out to the assembled team of Viox' soldiers - while she was away they were supposed to be downloading as much information as they could from the breached computer systems for them to go over in depth later. Kage - who was appointed command of this op called out their progress which Vasari only half was listening to - the majority of her focus was now dedicated towards the Battle Meditation with her master - while she was in a place of relative safety she was best utilized right now in helping her master in his fight."Good... prime the charges and prepare for exfil. We're going to bury this place..."Several of the Troopers broke off to carry out her orders - they had brought a large number of explosives with them for the purpose of destroying the building once they had taken what they could. The Fire was just a distraction for the most part, a fear tactic created to clear the Archives. Vasari had taken it upon herself to distract any Jedi that came to defend the building, a task that had been easier than she had assumed. For beings who claimed to be the guardians of knowledge in the Universe they had left it surprisingly unprotected. Something was out of place here, this entire raid... it was too easy. They were simply running. Jair had indicated an unwillingness to defend the archives with the assumption most of the information had already been taken away, but how? when? She had gotten here and nothing had happened, no one had been here. She set fires and Jair was the first one to appear... when did they evacuate? Had they seen them coming? had they planned for this? She shook her head and moved closer to Kage looking down at the Techs working on the computer terminal. They were almost done here."Start getting your men together, Major..."

Steps of the Base Library
The troopers that had been assigned to the Archive mission moved out of the building in standard two by two cover formation - a group of four, then their Major, then another group of four, finally followed up by Vasari. They took up a defensible position against the flank of one of the nearby buildings and Vasari looked to the major for the detonator, who hesitated a moment before handing it over to her. She looked over the device for a short amount of time before looking back up at the Library she had just ransacked. Within the large archways she could see the stacks of books still burning, and a part of her pained for the loss of knowledge - but then she steeled herself and brought her hand to the switch and raised the control bar and pressed the button setting the deadman's switch - as soon as she released it - the building would be history.
A flicker of movement caught her eye and she narrowed her vision to the burning building, she felt a surge of warmth cover her body and the feeling was unsettlingly bright within the pool of darker energy that had been building within her mind since the mission had begun. Just beyond the flames she caught sight of the ghost of the Jedi Master she had seen below the Archives - he seemed to be staring at her, his furry russet colored arms crossed over his chest. The look from him was odd because he had no eyes, the Bothan jedi must have been blind in life because the eyes were simply gentle pools of orange light. The 'look' was unsettling and she gritted her teeth and released the button. She didn't shy her head away, she wanted to watch the Jedi burn! But nothing happened. With a look of irritation she tilted her head towards the switch and then to Major Kage - who seemed to be suspended looking forward, almost locked in a sort of trance. She looked back at the Bothan Jedi who simply shook his head, and she heard something whisper against her sleeping mind. She bared her teeth and began to growl - taking a quick trio of steps towards back towards the building before she noticed the Bothan ghost lower his arms in submission, his head bowing slightly and then the charges detonated - seemingly all at once, and not in the cascade fashion they had been designed and set to go. The explosion was meant to implode the building, but explosion was much more grand than intended. The blast blew outward and Vasari took the brunt of it face on being blown back by the initial shockwave into the wall behind her. The flames never reached them - they had been a safe distance away - but Vasari felt the pain of her stupidity as she shifted against her broken ribs to look up with wide childlike eyes of awe at the burning crumbling building. She was even surprised to note that she had tears in her eyes as the building crumpled to the ground. It was as if the ghost of the Jedi would not let the building go on anyones terms but his own, and try as she might she couldn't see the ghost within the flames any longer. He was gone...
"Get... Get the troops back to the Exfil zone... meet up with Viox and make sure everyone else makes it own. I... I have one more mission to undertake before leaving this retched world..."
The Major nodded and led his men away from the burning building. Vasari waited for a moment, struggling to her feet before reading off in the opposite direction. Over the back wall - a feat that caused her great pain - and into the woods behind the Base.
