There is in fact a treaty, vortex, the world his senator represents has joined the republic. He was allowed into the republic because we needed a military and at the time, the Ryloth affair was in progress and the Mando Holy War was winding down, but still going, and I was the only one writing in the republic, except maybe Will and one other Jedi, that had a fleet. And my fleet was made specifically for the defense of Rendili, by the government of Rendili, and as such wasn't technically a Republic fleet, so using it in Republic conflicts not directly involving Rendili will involve some red tape. So when said sith asked to sign on, I asked what he was bringing to the table, he said a "Vor War Host" and we effectively then said deal. though there was some moreharanging then that. IC: I don't know he's a sith. I know he's not a nice guy, but I can work with that, so it's not a big deal. Until we can build up the defenses of the republic IC he's probably here to stay. You don't have to play nice with him, but he's currently our only defensive force over Coruscant, so try to at least play along, even if only out of necessity. rightio, just wanted to check in and see the story behind this, cause ya know, temple full of Jedi, might potentially feel something a little off in the force considering a darksider is sitting in orbit, but yeah, kool stuff.

Wait... did he just use civilian transport to move a military force into Coruscant? .... and he didn't even try to disguise his gear at all? AND he's claiming some of it got through untagged? Has no one else ever been through an airports security, cause even they would catch this stuff. Seriously, did no one read a single one of my posts? Yes i did legitimately move a military force through a civilian transport to Coruscant, there are other ways to move one's troops other than jumping a fleet into orbit and trying to land during a battle. The weapons were all sensor masked in amongst other items, so i'd love to see the airport that can see through something that is literally designed to mask against sensors and scanners, so yes they were disguised (seriously i mentioned it atleast once or twice in my post in Galactic City). Also does everyone forget that we are living in a galaxy, at least as far as JvS is concerned, filled with Mandalorians, Bounty Hunters, Mercenaries, smugglers, and a multitude of several different governments all of which have armies. Star Wars is literally just America, but expanded into an entire Galaxy, weapons are almost like a currency and just as numerous. Also, Sel, a couple people have only ever came to me about Coruscant via PM (Panno/Xeo, and Master Sacuru), just to clear your misconceptions up.

@rawkill That's fine, and you're welcome to point that out to Darma next time you see him, he legitimately doesn't know what he's dealing with here aside from an experienced warrior willing to defend the republic. Thomas Zahn If it's there I missed the sensor masking, I did however note that your operatives didn't have to dig through anything to get their gear and that they apparently left the "empty" crates behind. *Shrug* I may have missed something, will double check shortly, but I still don't think your post adequately described your countermeasures if two of us both missed something that was in the post once or twice.

I'm sorry, but you missed this line: "all of which contained sensor masks designed to mask the weapons" but want to pick apart people not digging through crates? I wasn't aware that every attacker was required to detail every single arm movement or action in granular detail as opposed to a mention of unloading the crates of their weapons or retrieving their weapons from the crates, and yet the defender can get away with an unspecified radiation marker that "military issue ships like a STAR DESTROYER were able to scan the movements of the crates perfectly" on a planet like Coruscant, which I happily rolled with. I have at least had the decency to read over Sel's posts more than once to ensure I knew where his men were and what they were doing, and have yet to make any unverified arguments in public threads, and thus I would like to hope you would give me the same courtesy. If you have a problem with one of my tactics or something you aren't clear on, feel free to shoot me a PM, just like I did with Sel, and I'll be happy to clarify it for you.

here is the problem.... sensormasked as what? My main problem, Zahn, is this: You first enterred rendilli (a republic world) as I understand (havent checked, just went by what you said) with an enemy force. That usually needs an answer from the local writers, even if the enemy force is just infiltrating. Thats what customs and security guards are for, to stop infiltrators. You have to let people answer your moves. Sensor masking: Only thing I found on it was this: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sensor_maskIf the crates are sensor masked, then either they, or their contents dont show up on sensors. That doesnt get an automatic pass, it gets red lights flashing and bomb squads arrive with sniffing RANCORS. (Fuck, now I want sniffing rancors.....) You just barged through the part where the defenders should have had a chance to answer before you started to move to the vital parts of the Works, the vital parts of the 500 Republica, and the senate. This is RP 1oh1. I still suggest, what you suggested (so yes, admitting you were right) we should start over this attack from scratch. My fleet is fucked because I missunderstood the rules and points, and the SL is kinda.......... getting heated OOC. A restart would do good to most parties.

You can have sniffing rancors. I just don't want to have to sniff rancors.

For now, since it is late, all I am going to say is: Ralltiir, not rendilli. And Ralltiir is not a Republic world, it is a neutral world along the same veins as Honoghr, whose writer's I contacted before hand to ensure they were fine with me doing what I did there. More to come later.

I am sorry, but as I mentioned, at the time it was late at night, and I lacked the brain power and effort to explain in minute detail things within my post that you both overlooked, and intend to do so now, as promised. Speaking of which, since we are on the topic of explaining things, could you explain what radiactive tracer you used that can be accuretly tracked by a Star Destroyer in the orbit of Coruscant? I mean, the planet has a permanent residency of 1 Trillion People (with the estimated actual count to be three times this many), with a few hundred thousand or so non-permamnent residents, and is a Ecumenopolis with 5,127 city levels built on it, with more traffic, tunnels and buildings than I care to count. I will once again refer you to my post found at this link: jedivsith.boards.net/post/68165/threadspecifically this line: "they collected their assigned gear crates, all of which contained sensor masks designed to mask the weapons, but not the other goods packed in with them" Once again pointing out that only specific contents within the crates were masked, not the entire crate or all of their contents, just specific items within said crates. As far as Sensor Masking goes, I refer you to this wookiee article: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Vanish_2_military_sensor_masking_systemNow, whilst what I have is only an extrenmely smaller version of that, the principle of what the sensor mask is doing is the same, the device is monitoring the sensor conditions around the weapons and re-emitting these contions to fool sensor scans into seeing an uninterrupted space. Also, I was not aware flying over and landing on the ground was a vital part of The Works, or landing in the Republic Plaza was a vital part of the Senate (especially considering, and I quote: The Republic Plaza also served as a transportation hub), or even landing at the outside, at it's loading docks, or even going into the various lobbies of 500 Republic also a vital area? To whit I should point out, I am now currently waiting on responses in the Plaza, for the 3 Military Compounds, in the Works, the Senatorial District, in orbit, and that slight edit to your post in the 500 Republica (which from your PM, i understand it will likely be made soonish)

I've not been read the posts or been involved in this argument (a nice change of pace for me personally. On thing I would say is that the Republic plaza is a transportation hub, for the Senate. It is where we have private docking bays, etc. They don't unload cargo from China in the same area where they park Air Force One. So while I can understand why you interpretted that as you did, I wanted to offer clarification.
That being said, if this was unloaded in another building, would everyone be ok with this? That seems like a simple solution.

if it is of any benefit:
I have spoken to Ms. S'daya, and as realizing that she stands for the same principles as Yavin Praxeum (the main collection of writers on Yavn) I would like to formally endorse and authorize Zarine S'daya as the Senator from the soverign Yavin System.

So... do we need to approve Yavin, or can it just be assumed? Or can there be a fast-forward post?

That sounded dreadfully official.
Side note: I'm not a Jedi.
P.S. I thought it had already been approved?

Assumed would be my preference at this point, it just takes to long to do it properly IC. Feel free to post a fast forward, if you do please post the acceptance of the new charter as well. I would do it myself but I've just written 16 pages worth of essays and taken two tests in the last 48 hrs, so I'm doing all I can to stay caught up right now.

Whenever you get around to it, but I would think it should be posted by the Chancellor or VC.

*sigh* bloody decorum and protocol...
EDIT: there... now I've triple posted in the rotunda. S'Daya feel free to post a thank you/introduction speech in response to your new position. Crom, let me know if I need to edit, I kinda used Belf'ima with out asking first, sorry about that. I just didn't want this to look like a diktat by the chancellor and VC to get the new charter passed.

O.O Well, no need to stress yourself, Darma. I just got home from work, but I was going to say, I can introduce myself easily enough in the Rotunda if you'd like... and whoever is necessary can just make the requisite "nod-nod, wink-wink" post.
