So, military council. looks like we need more volunteers. I will put up a post about asking for moitions to ratify Rodia and the Tion Cluster into the Republic. Anyone else need in officially? Past that, who else is willing to serve on the military Council? Peace be with you, Once again, that would include my NPC Aellemere, representing the Triumvirate Federation, which consists of Selonia, Drall, and Talus. As to the Military Council, considering The Th'tremsi have an entire Warrior Caste, it seems like a good place to settle into. go in peace, You have take three of the 5 worlds in the Correl system and reorganized it as something else? This is another example of having the need for a shared world view. And I've read all comments relating to my previous, and as stated have nothing to say.

How about, for those three, since they definitely already in the Republic, and recognizing the RP void, that those planets simply petition to have their new local government recognized as different (but in partnership when possible) from the 5 worlds?

You're not sorry, so please refrain from using such a word in the future. I don't care how long you've been at work or if it was frustrating, you don't start swearing at fellow writers because you don't understand the angle they're approaching this situation from. It's disrespectful and childish. So if you seek to pursue this matter further, please be sure to act like an adult by not letting your emotions cloud your judgement. Now, while I would usually follow such a infantile tirade up with all of my points easily collected into a single post, I'll refrain from beating a dead horse - like you all are with Honoghr - and bring them up In Character after Avaro, Vordaan, and I have been made officially apart of the Senate. I really haven't purposefully ignored this point, its just the trial took precedence. Know that your voice has been heard. We are all pissed for things that wont be anything in a month. A lot of people are taking IC into OOC. Stop it (to no one in particular, a general--which includes myself). I just hope good people like Crom come back sooner rather than later.

EDIT: But I don't want to derail the GR thread with our internal politics. We can continue the discussion via the PM I've already sent you.

I'm not really sure how to bring Koronov back into active duty in the Senate. But I'd be willing to go to Honoghr, if a volunteer is needed. It'd be a good way to start fresh.

Good day to you all,
I'll start of by saying I've have already attended to PMing Kel'Al. Now onto the matter of the Government, seeing as how Tralus, Drall, and Corellia at the very least all had/have seperate Senators, it's not making any real major change to the current way things are running on JvS. They still work with Corellia and Tralus, it's just that that since their local governments are all under similar leadership, it seemed like a natural option they would band together and be represented under one banner. As to Cihlbar's idea, if that is what you would prefer, we can go with them petitioning to have their combined government viewed as seperate from, but still working with, the other worlds of the Correl System. Just wanted to make sure it could be that simple, since The Th'tremsi are a new species to the Republic, and I wasn't sure if that would play a part or not. If it's merely a petitioning situation, then should I just move my people down to a pod?
safe travels,

Realistically, a new species emerging spontaneously from a core system in the galaxy isn't that viable; I think like running with them being relatively small population that rose to prominence somehow in the sparser populated of the Five Brothers. I think Koronov can come along side them in solidarity of their petition (a cosponsor perhaps) and it would be a good introduction.
Also, Corellian muscle has definitely been lacking in the military Council, you can be asked to be appointed to that, makes a lot of sense. It would be awesome for Corellia, Mon Cal, Hapes (if anyone is around for them anymore) and Rendili to all sit on the council as the main ship builders and naval academies in the Republic, makes a lot of sense for them to decide allocation and consult movements of resources.

And yea, if Ice is down to work with you on that. We just need to figure out, just IC wise, what the partnership is; what the benefit is. What does Honoghr as an independent system provide and what can we provide to them as a partner (military, economic or otherwise). Not saying there isn't any benefits, just want to see what they would be. If you want to PM her/Zion and figure that out and get back to us, that would be great. If anyone else wants to be involved with this, partner with Koronov (it does make sense, it happens sometimes when multiple delegates arrive to planets)

Greetings, Your post kind of words what I meant better, in that they were a minority that has grown to prominance. But yeah, perhaps Koronov could act as a cosponsor per-say, as a way of helping him get back into things, and help introduce us into the Senate, and all that good stuff. farewell,

Cihlbar, I am arriving in orbit soon. Rodia will be ready to officially join the republic. Ah, I thought you were already there. But whenever you arrive, just write in that you were transmitted diplomatic landing codes and hurry on in and join us. You've been invited to the floor.

While I would put forth Derrick's name for the Military Council, I feel like I would best serve the Republic by heading up both the Senate Bureau of Intelligence and Republic/ Military intelligence.

Greetings friends,
Since there appears to be a great deal of interest in being on the Military Committee/Council, might I suggest we hold a vote to decide who will be on it? Otherwise we are going to end up with nearly every PC senator being on the MC. How about we limit it to like 3 seats and we each make a vote for the three we would prefer to be on it? We could do this OOC, with some IC event to correspond to the result, or do it entirely IC.

I don't think the MC needs members right now, since there isn't really anything left for them to do currently. But If people want to elect a new MC that's fine by me. I think only Crom is still active of the originial council, as well as Chil, via NCP. I've been inactive to long to count anymore, but I wouldn't mind seeing some fresh blood working in the Rotunda.
I would like to see some other aspects of the Senate put into play, perhaps a Trade and Commerce Comity to help play out the financial and supply aspects of the cold war SL. I'd also like to see a Culture Comity that would work to unify the numerous cultures within the Republic without dissolving and absorbing them. I know those probably won't happen unless this faction/site receives a massive boost to writers, but I think those should be kept on the drawing board at least.

Crom is on break.
I'd like to see someone pitch in with the economics of the Republic, and if new people are on the Military Council, then those new people needs to actually manage the military assets of the Republic. The OOC aspect, oversee the ordering and construction of fleets, the training and management of troop personnel etc. negotiate treaties and alliances.
Does a vote need to be casted for this participation?

Good day to you,
As I just explained, there is a great deal of interest (Myself, Ludo, Avaro, yourself, and potentially Koronov), which is a little over half the PC Senators, so limiting it to 3 seats would mean not only is there enough to break tie votes, but we also don't have nearly every Senator on the MC. An Economics Council would be good to add, or even just an Economical Advisor type role, since we need to be weary of our numbers, so that we aren;t over stretching our resources.

Koronov is not a military man. My NPC Admiral Michael Korr was on the military council in the past, but I do not want to take on that role again until I'm sure I'll actually be available. So, you can count me out of the Mililary Council for the time being.
I will, however, be working OOC and via NPCs on the defense forces for Corellia and Naboo (and the rest of the Five Brothers, if needed...), to make sure they are fully supplied.
Koronov also had a deal with Crom'nen to provide material support for Ryloth's defenses, but he will likely put that deal on hold until Crom'nen is removed and a new Senator is appointed, since he will have zero confidence in Crom'nen after this scandal.

If anyone would like to go with Koronov to Honoghr, please let me know by this weekend. I would be happy to sponsor the Th'tremsi proposal once we work out some internal politics between us so that I understand what I am sponsoring
