And to be clear Corellia is not technically a "Jedi" world. It is a world of the republic that just happens to have a strong Jedi academy and high jedi population.... unless that's what you meant by jedi world.

Speaking of Drama...
I'm done. It's Crom'nen, so he went about it this dick-ish way possible, but the hearing is over as far as he is concerned. Thank you Rawkill for setting me up (even if unintentionally). We can debate it or whatever, but Crom'nen's involvement in it is done. Bel'fima might be involved in the discussion too, but she is designed to be a moderating influence on Crom'nen anyway, so hopefully now we can start repairing the relationships hurt by the Mando War, IC and OOC.
One thing I would say is that we need to either join together or split apart. This halfway crap is what got us in trouble in the first place. That doesn't mean that we can't be separate factions, but we need to have a detailed relationship clearly defined on paper, so when issues come up, we can point to an agreement. For example a Jedi told me via chat that the Jedi Council can veto anything decided by the Senate (I will name names, but only via PM, because I don't want to start a fight. But this person I have gotten into it with before, as both this and my Jedi character). This is not true. Last time I got into it with this person, I nearly quit. I've been playing since day 1 of 1.0. As far behind as we have fallen, we cannot afford to let a few dominant personalities (myself included) run people off. If I need to leave this faction or even this website because that is what is best for this group as a whole, I will do so. But we absolutely have to pull together or tear apart.

Takes a bow and walks away, his job done with a performance that would make the blood gods of the Ewok proud Au Revoir!

As far as I know the Jedi council can't just Veto things... sure we can veto things that are directly aimed at as as far as how we react to them, but that doesn't "technically" nullify the law, it just forces you to try to reprimand us or change the law.

This is so cute. I serve at the will of the people. So if the debate has gotten to the point where I can start repairing a relationship with the Jedi-- so be it.
If IC you want me to broker a new deal (which the standing charter states we have a mutual relationship, theoretically once it is retrieved from the 1.5 dump) then so be it.

Why not undergo a Ruusan Reformation of our own, and have the relationship between the Republic and the Jedi be likened to what it was during the Golden Ages of the Old Republic? Where they adopt their paramilitary roots within this Unicameral federal democratic republic as Guardians of Peace and Justice among the galaxy, preventing conflict and political instability within the factions current borders.
Now before everyone boards the hate train with several bottles of haterade, note that this is only a suggestion that will bring our relationship back towards a more Canon and manageable ideal.

Well, before ya'll get working on trying to broker a new deal with the Jedi IC, we are taking a moment to actually discuss this as a group, outside of just Mahir talking with you guys. So feel free to drop in your thoughts: jedivsith.boards.net/post/66176/thread

Blessings upon you,
Esteemed members of the Republic, allow me to introduce myself, I am Vordaan of The Th'tremsi (fanon species i am in the process of getting approved). Introductions aside, I am currently working my way towards getting my people set up on Talus, along with some people on Selonia and Drall and was hoping to add a Senator to the Republic to represent The Th'tremsi/Talus/Selonia/Drall, if that would be alright? Primarily The Th'tremsi are like the Lightsided version of the Sith Species, so there will potentially be some warriors aiding the Jedi at some point, but there is some good chances for them to interact within the Republic, especially since their unique views will bring some contrast against the views of other Senators.
May your days be long and your hardships few,

Welcome Vordaan, an interesting idea you have their, best of luck to you.
Also, sorry everyone for Vanishing again. >.< one of these days I'll actually remember to post my leave of absence post before I leave. *sigh* Anywho, back, for now, got a busy semester ahead so posting will be slow, but hopefully steady. Catching up on things now....

Yeah, sorry to burst people's bubbles, but Honoghr was only ever assumed to be apart of the republic, since no one really ever asked us. To my knowledge, it was merely an assumption made by Gabe, since we were a "Jedi" world. Kind of curious why TIM ever represented the planet, since the place has been either under Adi or Ice's leadership for the last 3-4 years, if not slightly longer. Regardless, it's good to see someone actually approach the actual writers of the planet about this for once... I'm pretty sure Adi approached me about having Honoghr join the Republic over a year ago, so this isn't some fiction. Then once you were on the list, people started claiming unrepresented planets for their Senator characters, possibly without consulting the inhabitants.

Adi did approach the possibility of joining the republic but I'm not sure if it was ever fully established before he disappeared/stopped worrying about politics. In any case just grabbing unrepresented planets doesn't work when there are people who are writing there. So it may be a good idea to establish now that you must actually check to see if there are people on that planet and consult with them before just being a senator.... pro bally a good clarification to make.

I absolutely agree. We should be a bit more careful about that sort of thing in the future.

so i posted finally in the rotunda.
And yea, Honoghr joined the Republic as they said, and Jedi Order. Now they want to be isolated again. Surprise, no fun. I don't know what good that does, but there you have it.
IC I have been trying to be more polarizing of a leader, coming out as a more vocal point for the Jedi, but now favor has swung back to the jedi without me having to say much at all. I would have issued an executive pardoned for the Jedi had there been evidence of conviction, but it didn't come to that. Would show me much more pro jedi, and fun to flex more muscle. perhaps the Senate will call a vote of no confidence of that point, and I can finally leave this wretched office.
*walks awkwardly off stage swaying drunkenly as the disenfranchised faction leader that he is. . . .
What can I say, I drink like a fish.
On to pressing Agenda matters, how many people are still lurking around that needed an official RPing of joining of the Senate? Are those the next items on the list. Was there something else people wanted address?

And Mon Cal is not in a void, just boring to post there. but i have recently. . .within the last month. . i think.
I don't about you guys (well actually I know about most of you guys) but on an important side note-- or prime note depending on how you chose to perceive it-- I abhor the idea of writing on a planet just to keep it. Or playing by myself or just with my bestest bud on one planet. That isn't what this site is designed for, and i won't do it. Carry on chaps to the above aforementioned agenda query.

well, I will be making one final address to the Republic, before having Rawkill head off to meet with the High Council, but other than that, I don't have anything further to add. I'll get that all sorted at asap.

I'll be arriving soon into the Senate, most likely taking a seat in the visitors viewing deck to start with. good health, long life,

How can I put it nicely... You guys really, kinda suck. I mean, you inadvertently were the cause of death of several RDMC personelle IC. (cause ya know, let's aim the war horde at Kuat, then refuse to lend any help, genius!) Honestly, just because someone leaves your "cool" kids club, does not make them instantly worse off. I mean think about it, the Empire has ground to a halt, the Republic is busy bickering with the Jedi. frankly it's far better off to remain independant...
