For clarification, I have been willing to support anything and everything this Order has come to a decision-- and this site as a whole as a matter of fact. It is the only reason I am even on the High Council (at least for another couple of hours), It is the only reason I have a Senator/Chancellor as an alt, it is the only reason I made a team of administrative jedi alts on Corellia, it is the only reason I have Mando alts on the ground at Ossus-- but that is what they are-- alts. When the site gets disinterested in that work so do I, and the reality of it is, the spark that these little things councils have will fizzle out as well when propped up with alts. Mikey, I wish you the best of luck on it, I do.
But it seems my word is no longer valid, this body is failing to see to the big picture and though I may look like a bitter hack for interjecting thussly-- but it disturbs me to the core you don't see it. Vote me off the council, as it seems I have been (even though those who will seeming claim/reclaim a seat, voted for me, irony?).
I have said my peace, sparked the change, and you guys have put it to work. Glad i can be of service.
I am just going to over here, wrapping up what SLs I can. Let me know when you need me.

Will, bro, Chillax. We are all friends here. We need you, we like having you around. Doesn't matter what council you are on (if it's not the HC the other council idea would be great for you) no reason to jump ahead of ourselves.

Is it too late for me to want to run for the High Council?

For every 9 people that says it is irrelevant, there has to be a 10th that goes against them and says it is. You are that man Will, and that is why you will continue to be voted in.

Hey Will, now would be an awesome time for some of those NPCs on Corellia. I'm already in two different place there at the same time, plus a third with an NPC. So technically three places. And Eremiel is just at the door. Come join the fun?

Is it too late for me to want to run for the High Council? Unfortunately, I fear it is too late for you to throw your hat into the ring for the HC, as the end of the vote is tonight (I think). That being said, you are more than welcome to vote on the current voting thread. The more people who vote, the better.

It would be a good idea to discuss what we are going to do about the mando war and such. Personally as far as at least Yavin goes I think we should just kind of let it be and sort of "ignore" it. Basically what I mean is treat it like an Elephant in the room and just not worry about it for the moment, mostly because it has the potential to have a lot of personal issues brought up and all of that stuff. But aside form that I think everything else is just going to roll on as planned. I was sort of given the idea that it was being razed and what not, so that it could be rebuilt. Honestly, I don't see a reason why we should leave it be, unless we just totally want to revamp Coruscant to be the new Yavin, which is fine by me. Ignoring it just seems to break continuity a bit, is all.

Ael, I have publically recognized your efforts and delegated those responsibilities that usually fell to me or Serrin, and you've done a great job.
I suppose I do have a bit more time for that if I'm no longer on the Council (and I thought of a great IC reason not to be). but that's only if we decide to keep Corellia, that that would be the only reason for it. I still technically have Mon Cal to cover to which has been thrown in another void (not my fault this time). And leading the Republic still, unless they vote me out too. Still have plenty to do, despite how this vote will go.

Oh. Woopsies. I missed the delegation. >.< *contemplates more NPCs* Uhm, do you have a list anywhere of the current NPC chars on Corellia? Cause I'd rather just continue with them if that's ok. I don't think a forcible removal of established academies to Coruscant will feasibly work, so for now at least I'm trying to keep things going on Corellia with the new characters that have showed up there. Two of them are looking for 'people of importance' and that excludes me. Heh. So, if you or Mike or Kel'al have time/inclination to post a bit, please do.

If we are not forcibly removing academies, centralizing powers, what the hell are we doing? Just new leadership? C'mon guys.

There needs to be some sort of bonding
that is no lie
but i think that we shouldn't be telling a jedi that: "for the sake of bringing the order together, you are no longer allowed to call this academy your home"
And to the point of who should or should not be listened to and be allowed to play at "x" rank consider this
Since starting JvS I have played Monte as a knight. back on 1.5 i was eager to attempt to ascend to the rank of master, but was persuaded against Master trials. Apparently, My writing (which i believe pales in comparision to some of the new jedi joining us), made people think i was a Master already. If a writer wants to invest time and emotional energy into characters and this order, we should not be telling them how to rp. Characters are Characters, and Writers are Writers. Do not think that just because someone writes in one style does not mean they are not capable of writing in another.

I think Will is right about a more centralized group. Or at least consolidated. Now I haven't read the last page so I could be missing something but, it makes sense.
Now I am not saying drop your academies and go to Imperial City. However the mando war can help you for the time being. Yavin gets abandoned same with Ossuss. That leaves what Felucia, Corrillea, and Hrongr? Now the 30-50 of you are much closer

I think the idea is to centralize as much as possible however we are NOT going to force anyone to move anywhere they don't want to, encourage perhaps but we will NEVER tell you what you can and can't do with your own characters.

Well, I think Coruscant will be a given. Raylia will be here, alw with side trips to academies to check up on training programs or dig sites.
Sanctioned or not, if someone likes where they write, I think most of them will end up staying there be it Yavin or Ossus or Corellia. I see the problem is less of an OOC one and more of an IC one. We need to find better motivating factors IC that would require the active Jedi to travel and interact with the others more.

So let's find some good reasons to go to other places, other than "some person OOC told me to come here". Doesn't really make for good writing imho.
