Raylia is a 38 year old archaeologist Jedi Master. She's not a battle oriented character. She works in the archives and libraries and occasionally in the field on digs. I'm more than capable of writing her with an appropriate power level and knowledge as I would follow the same guidelines with her as I do with Sin. This person is -quite- capable of writing as a Master. Considering the fact that she was on 1.0 and 1.5 as well, I'd say she's quite able to claim herself as a Master. Tyor as well. Considering that some fresh blood is needed in the Jedi pool, I'd say we should look at all options...not discount them at the first whispers of them. When I retired, or I guess took a vacation as it now stands, I gave Sin the permission to write my characters if they were needed. That's not just because I enjoy her writing so much on the site, but because I felt confident in her portrayal of my characters. This has to do with the fact that Sin, in my opinion, has one of the strongest grasps of self-imposed character limitation and understands that character perfection fails to breed character development. She is as much equipped as any person I know to write a Jedi Master and do so convincingly. As for Tyor, I would agree as well. Stevan has always had a style of writing that I've enjoyed immensely and the fact that he's made this character a Jawa shows that he's not out to be the most powerful, but instead to be an interesting and collaborative character. And the guy loves plants. I mean, come on, a Jedi Master after my own botony heart. In closing, I agree with Adi. Dunno how much that matters, considering the topic sort of includes me, but meh, I felt it might help. |

Alright so back to business. How many council seats should we have now? who gets to vote?
Also we were discussing in chat and we (mostly sin) suggested all the jedi vote OOC for the council member and then the Masters do it IC...

List of Jedi Masters currently active, so everyone knows who they are.
Potential discussion IC at meeting of who is willing to be on the Council. (no sense voting for someone who really doesn't want it.) Narrows the list. Meeting on pause.
All Jedi vote OOC.
Votes are counted.
And then enacted by the IC masters at the meeting.
Bam. New HC exists.

I'll admit it's not easy to tell when I'm being sincere. But seriously, I figured since so many established characters left, it would leave a bit of a blank.
Anyway, it might be fun to constantly try to restrict my instincts and try to be helpful because... I don't know. It's a learning process.

And I think 5-7 HC members would be sufficient and people who want to serve should actually say, in meeting I suppose, whether they want to or not. Or maybe it should be OOC, to keep from people's character seeming ambitious or what not. I dunno, either way works I suppose.
