If the VFA/SoFA is the only problem, then let's reword it, or change it, or remove it. So long as neither side has to deal with a shit storm like this one again, I could care less.
people, feel free to put in your thoughts, cause the sooner we get something everyone is happy with, the sooner we can all move on with our lives...

I couldn't agree more, as one bad apple shouldn't spoil the bushel.
Now, as for the change up, I'd reword it to regard the Jedi as a Paramilitary force. I'll type up the section later on this week for your approval, and if needed we'll change things around so it looks pretty.

If we are a paramilitary group... than won't we be doing exactly what you want to keep us from doing? Leading personal armies and fleets, governing worlds of our own? I'm confused here, hopefully you re-write will clear things up. :/
EDIT: Also, to any resident masters on Coruscant, Shihab is now waiting just outside the council chamber in the spire, for anyone who want's to answer his general invite/call.

Sounds good to me Derrick, I look forward to the input.
So i lost a really good post before, so I'll just shorten this down. Taken from the Jedi wikipedia page: "For many generations the Jedi served as a paramilitary for the Galactic Republic and the galaxy at large to prevent conflict and political instability including playing a leading role in the later Clone Wars."
now let's review the definition of what a paramilitary group is: "A paramilitary is a militarised force or other organization whose organizational structure, training, subculture, and (often) function are similar to those of a professional military, but which is not considered part of a state's formal armed forces. The assigned role, function, equipment and primary purpose of a paramilitary may also strongly differ from that of a professional military."
now taking into account the types of paramilitaries, you could akin the Jedi to at least three types of the groups: Militarized police force (ala SWAT teams), Gendarmerie, a special police force. To further drive this point home, we have an organizational structure (Master, Knight, Padawan), we have a training regime, and we function similar to a professional miliatary (taking down Sith, and keeping the peace). Paramilitary groups also don't necessarily have full private armies and fleets, or even govern places. But at the same time, it doesn't mean we can't support a private security force for the temples. Honestly, as far as fleets are concerned, considering a good portion (not all, but a fair amount) of Jedi can barely handle a starfighter properly, i don't think there would have been any abundance of personal fleets. But I digress.
the point is, paramilitary does not imply personal fleets, personal armies, or governance of planets.

This is a prodigal member of the Council of Reconciliation checking in, I'd like to get involved again and my logical first step would be to get back to my assignment to set up the CoR, but I wanted to check first and make sure that I'm not stepping on any toes? If someone else has taken this over, please point me in their direction. Otherwise, Broon Krano and I plan to pick up where we left off in January. Thanks.

So are those the articles we are running with? I don't think there would be much fuss I'm the Rep side.

The Resolution looks pretty good to me, but I think Derrick had some wording changes he wanted to recommend.

Everything bar the VFA and SoFA, which Derrick had some re-wording changes he wanted to make. But otherwise, everyone seems to agree everything else looks good. I'll get onto Derrick about the wording changes and get this moving along asap.

good enough. I'm in no rush IC/OOC for the concrete Resolution. IC at this point it would not makes sense. But after this current meeting of the Senate, I will just simply call a meeting to appoint a joint commission between the delegates from the Republic and the High Council; Rawkill and Derrick will definitely be in that meeting. Rawkill can somehow communicate with Diamonte as the detail oriented jedi master or something to get involved; and then whoever else on the Rep side who wanted to help with that. I just wanted to line up IC with those who put in the work OOC-- and to definitely show the cohesion that it is aiming to do in its passing.

Is it my post in the spire? I wasn't sure if Rawkill was going to address whatever he needed to before Shihab did his spiel.

I figured Mahir could go first, since Rawkill's report is for the High Council only, whilst Mahir wants to address "everyone".
On a separate note, I'm going to call a vote, on what I am very aptly dubbing, The Ryloth Reforms (please refer to the previous page) as they currently stand. If we get the Jedi ok on this end, I'll then post it over to the Republic thread to get their opinion and vote on it, then we can hopefully put this sucker to bed.
