A Corellian Corvette named Rylothian Gold departed from the Kala'uun starport and headed for orbit. It broadcast a diplomatic ID with Republic clearance. It was the private ship of Senator Crom'nen of Ryloth. It did not even slow down for the fleet in orbit, but made its way for hyperspace.

The persuer-class enforcement ship called "Chefs Demise" was picked up by local orbital controll at once. It had Mandalorian IFF. Orbital command kept the two mandalorians occupied before defences could get into escort-or-defencive position. A transcription of the discussion was saved, as usual.
-Orbital controll (henceforth OC)- Chefs Demise, this is orbital controll and customs. Please state your passangers ID and number. -Chefs Demise (Henceforth CD)- Two. Duke Australis and Sherer Skirata-Australis. Mandalorians. -OC- Occupation? -CD- No, No, Just wisiting. -OC- ... ... What is your trade? -CD- I told you, Mandalorians. Look lady, some smuck is sending military messages to us about some idots claiming to be mandalorians. Since we ARE the Vode, someone is lieing. So get me someone in charge or piss off. -OC- Sir, first off, I am a man, secondly... -CD- Could have fooled me... (female snickering in background) -OC- Secondly, calm down and please refrain from profanity and aggressive behavior. Do you bare arms? -CD- No, I am on vacation. (highly sarcastic tone) -OC- Sir, if you keep being offensive, you will be handled accordingly. -CD- As I said, give me someone in charge, or piss off. Tell them Mand'Alore Sent me. Get your beaurocratic ass off that chair and get something done.
That was about the time when either someone in charge came in, or the local defence forces got there to handle the situation.

The comm officer threw the monitored conversation on the bridge speakers at the word "Mandalorian." Sujay and the rest of the bridge crew listened to the verbal exchange with a hint of frustration and dismay, as it looked like yet another war monger had arrived in system. Sujay was tempted to just blast the fiends to atoms where they were and ask questions latter, but that wasn't an option for him, yet. With a hand signal, he ordered that he be patched into the conversation, he spoke with a weary but stern voice that was used to giving orders.
Chef's Demise, this is Rear-Admiral Sujay, I'm not entirely certain what you think you're here for, but the mandos that were here earlier had mando gear, spoke mando'a, and fought like Mando's. I don't suppose this could have been an operation that was above your pay grade? Officer Candace please send what footage we have of the mandalorians to this upstart know it all.
The last sentence was muffled but understandable, and the officer in question complied, so any response was likely to be interrupted the data's arrival. Footage was mostly of poor quality, having been taken from orbit of forces on or near the surface. Still, it would be very hard to mistake the distinctive style of armour worn by the soldiers pictured, of which several high-res images were available, showing men from Dred's outfit, though none of Dred himself. The War driods were also hard to mistake, one of which was still on the surface, partially buried under a collapsed building. Some footage from the Death Seed squadrons gave evidence of a desperate struggle against the machines and their pilots, the leader of these was Dred himself, though no one on the planet, or in the task force above it, could match his name to his image, or were even aware that he had been to the planet, anyone who had seen him or his armor before would probably recognize him. There wasn't anything else on hand, that was about all they had on the mandalorian invaders. Sujay hoped it would satisfy the visitors, as Ryloth was still under protective blockade, with only ships bearing the Golden Tongue's personal seal being allowed to leave or land on Ryloth proper.

AlphaUpon receiving the transmission, and confirmation from the gunboats that the ship was indeed turning away from Ryloth, Rear-Admiral Sujay ordered a general cease-fire. The Gunboats dropped back out of weapons range, but escorted the Inner out of the system, lest it try some other trick. RA Sujay then ordered hi ships to return to their previous positions around Ryloth, and had the communcations officer check with the local Space authority, for an update on the ground situation. The pirate ship slipped through almost unnoticed, and got away easily.BetaTurned once more and headed for Ryloth's high orbit, where it would resume it's previous position as ordered.DeltaCeased returning fire, shields at 94% but holding, and began maneuvering back to its position in the defensive tetrahedron.GammaChanged the distress signal to an all clear signal, and sent a specific request to Republic command for the requisition of new units and materials as needed for the task force's day-to-day operations, as well as a suggested list of economic and material aid for the people of Ryloth based on the computer's damage assessment of the planet. The task force returned to its static patrols of the space around Ryloth, seeking to deter illegal traffic, which had significantly diminished in the last few hours. Largely due to the re-tasking of the Death-Seed squadrons. The Inner, as the Ardent left as promised. They knew they were outgunned and outshielded. No matter of speed nor old imperial tricks would make that better. Leaving was the only option and that is what they did. Atia was mad. Three Banshees were needed to make sure she wouldnt execute the admiral and her captain on the spot. Both ships jumped away to unknown destination.

Sherer was leaning over his shoulder and did the same, frowming at both the seen, and the cigarr smoke slowly raising from Duke. They conversed in Mando'a.-Sherer- "I thought you stopped smoking." "No smoking in the kitchen. We aint in the kitchen Sher'ika. What do you think?" -Sherer- "Will have to run it through Mandalore. See if we have the colours on database. Looks convincing though. Someone is either going rogue or going Death Watch." "What do you think about this planet? Look at the defences. These smucks couldnt hold? Damned hulls look clean as a whistle. I smell setup. -Sherer- "You always smell setup." "The only thing I hate worse then an dishonorable Vode is a dishonorable cause. I want to see this destruction and supposed chaos. I want to meet this Di'kuta that thinks he can send anonymous messages to the Mand'Alore." -Sherer- "And, pray tell, how will you find this anonymous Di'kuta?" "I have my ways, my amazon princess... see, I know this crooked politician figure. Some wormhead politician, Crom'nen." -Sherer- "The dude you held as prisoner in a strip club?" ".... you women... you would never understand... OUCH! STOP THAT!" -Sherer- "Dont act like I am an idiot, you just wanted to repopulate Clan Australis with young twileks." "I am just doing my duty as clan head. Its in the Resol'nare." -Sherer- "You disgust me." "I know darlin, and you love it!" Finally, an answer came.-Chefs Demise- Sujay, get me down to Lessu. I want to see this supposed destruction. Hold the insults. If you had any spine, you wouldnt be in this mess. Dont tell me you cant handle two mandalorians. If you want our help, you will comply. See this as a diplomatic mission, or whatever you people call it.

Another voice came on the screen. This person was loyal to Crom'nen, and took command.
This is Tra'fenn of Ryloth Control. You claim to be the real Mandos? Lessu was just devastated by a group in Mandalorian armor calling themselves "The Exchange." They also rode these weird droids that look like animals. If you want to take a look, land in Lessu, but leave your weapons powered down and come out unarmed.

Duke smirked.
"Basilisk. Someone is using Basilisks and call themselves The Exchange. This is sickening."
Sherer huffed in agreement.
"I hate to say it, but I brought too little ordinance."
-Sherer- "Knowing you, I am concerned."
-Chefs Demise- Tra'fenn, if you come to Mandalore, I wont ask you to cut your lekkus off. Have the same courtesy. We are here to help, one more war with the republic was enough. Dont shame yourself by fearing two mandalorians. Understand? The ones you have trouble with are The Exchange, as you say, and they claim. We are Mandalorians. Big bloody difference.

Don't mistake reason with fear. We are a proud warrior culture. If the Republic armada showed up here, we would tell them the same thing. Right now, marshall law is declared. All non-Twi'lek are to travel unarmed and with escort, or you will be killed. I don't care if you're Darth Vader. No weapons but ours on the streets carried by aliens. No exceptions. Or, if you want to help, you can bring back the heads of those schutta on a pike.

-Chefs Demise- Thats what I am working on you...
Sherer smacked him on the head.
-Sherer- "Be nice!"
-Chefs Demise- ... There better be welcome drinks.
The Chefs demise lowered to Lessu.

Sujay was about to respond with the standard negative when, Tra'Fenn cut in. Sujay had been working with him and his office since they arrived at Ryloth, and knew he where his loyalties lay, and so had no difficulty passing this off to Tra'Fenn, and letting the Mando ship pass.

It happened in an instant, one moment the space surrounding Ryloth was naught but it's usual peaceful slumber as cargo ships went to and fro, bringing in goods from the farthest reaches of the known galaxy, the next moment, several ships appeared forth from hyperspace bearing the markings of The Order of O'lim. Daekhar Deathwhisper, the order's most feared and respected Grand Shaman, stood aboard the bridge of The Hellhound, an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, as he surveyed their newest conquest. Already orders were being broadcasted across the fleet as The Harbinger began to power up it's gravity wells, trapping their unwary foe from jumping to hyperspace, meanwhilst the Carnage, Ravager, Extinction, and Oblivion began to deploy the TIE interceptor's which started their assault upon the meagre forces that were acting as a planetary defence fleet, with the Torment and Slayer also lending their guns to the cause. The Hellhound meanwhile made a move towards positioning itself in orbit above the city of Lessu as an assortment of gunships, dropships, and transports poured forth from the star destroyer to deploy the Cultists ground side and expand the borders of The Order. Daekhar knew he would be joining them soon, but his first priority was to secure orbit, something that he did not expect to take long. Plus, it only made sense that the Champion of O'lim would be the first of them to land groundside and claim this world in the name of the great one. It was then, that Daekhar turned to his friend and placed his hand upon Staviik's shoulder Rain death down upon them brother... but do try to leave some for the rest of us...

"Don't worry brother, ill make sure to leave some of them alive for you to convert." Staviik said his face hidden under the hood of his cloak. Staviik turned and made his way to the hangar where a dropship was waiting for him and his personal guard. As he walked towards the ship four cultist of his elite guard fell in line behind him each carrying a specialized rifle. As the boarded the ship two acolytes came forward and kneeled before Staviik to hand him his scythe, the minute he raised the holy weapon they put their heads to the ground. Turning Staviik boarded the ship finally pulling the hood of his cloak down to reveal the ritualistic tattoos covering his face.

As soon as Staviik had taken his leave of the bridge, Daekhar headed to his meditation chamber located at the back of the bridge and began to spread fear through the rank and file of the Ryloth defenders. The Torment and Slayer then turned their guns upon the defender's flagship and made short work of the ships defences, before the gun crews aboard the Hellhound target the ships engines and reactor, immobilising the ship before its reactor was breached, sending the ship into oblivion. It wasn't long after that, that the defending fleet was suing for peace, at which point Daekhar used the chance to obliterate the remnants of the Ryloth Defence Fleet. With their foes shattered, Daekhar left his chamber and made his way down to the hangar bay where his Death Guard awaited him in a shuttle, which transported them down to the surface

As the V-180 anti-orbital ion cannons outside Kala'uun and in the Lonely Five Mountains begin to relentlessly and accurately pour ion bolts - a single one of which is capable of disrupting an Imperial-class Star Destroyer - upon the enemy fleet in orbit, beginning to weaken their shields, a trio of Sesk'vati ships that had been patrolling areas in orbit other than that from whence the enemy fleet arrived begin to converge on the point where their comrades in Ryloth's defensive fleet have been recently defeated.
The Alema, a Proficient-class cruiser, launches its full complement of nine HLAF-500 starfighters as, moving at full speed ahead while raising shields and powering weapons up as crews begin to target the enemy ships, it closes on the enemy position - with three fighters each moving into lead, low, and high squadron formations as they set out to engage the enemy. Joining the Alema, in flanking positions above and below to her stern, are a pair of CR90 corvettes - the Mala and the Nimi - that each launch their complements of six HLAF's while raising their shields, powering weapons, and ordering their weapons crews to target the enemy ships so that they can begin firing once they reach an effective firing range.

While her compliment of starfighters dart rapidly towards the enemy vessels, the Alema maneuvers so that it can bring as many of her ion cannons and heavy turbolasers to bear on what is believed to be the enemy flagship, and begins to rain a relentless, punishing storm of fire towards the Star Destroyer.
As the Sesk'vati starfighters, flying beneath the Alema's field of fire, close on the enemy starfighters that have been sent to intercept them, the pilots open fire with turbolasers and proton torpedoes as enemy pilots do the same. The two groups of starfighters meet, their neat formations dissolving into chaotic patterns punctuated by occasional flares of light as fighters are destroyed while some pilots enter dogfights and others are able to maneuver past the enemy fighters in order to move on to engage the larger ships.
The CR90s accompanying the Alema continue to maneuver as the Proficient-class cruiser trades fire with the enemy flagship, spreading out so that no single line of fire could damage the remaining trio of Sesk'vati ships as well as to, once they open fire with their turbolasers, create a more widely dispersed field of fire that pours towards the enemy vessels from multiple angles.
Fire from the anti-orbital ion cannons on the planet's surface continues to streak upwards for the enemy ships all the while, adding to the steadily mounting opposition the enemy finds itself facing now that the element of surprise has been lost and the Sesk'vati begin to rally.

Having plotted a course that ideally ensures they do not venture near enough the clash between Ryloth's defenders and the latest invading force to try and wrest control of the planet from her native people, the pilot and co-pilot of the Geheim Masjien, a YT-2400 light freighter, breathe sighs of relief when, after they have reached the point where they can safely make the jump to hyperspace, they watch real space give way to the swirling blues of hyperspace.

As much as they might wish it were not so, the ships in Ryloth's defending fleet left able to fight are not able to do much more than harry the larger ships of the enemy fleet as they begin to withdrawal, even the addition of the anti-orbital ion cannon fire not enough to prevent the retreating enemy forces from making their escape.
There is little time to celebrate the fact that the attempted invasion has been prevented once the enemy forces have disappeared from real space, having entered hyperspace to, presumably, return from whence they came; the ships of the battered Sesk'vati fleet turning their attention to those tasks necessitated by the battle. Support ships - medical frigates, and tugs primarily - are sent from the planet's surface or the CEC space docks in orbit over Kala'uun and Lessu to begin transporting the wounded from the Sesk'vati ships left too damaged to make for the space docks, while other tow the damaged ships themselves to the docks to be repaired.
As rescue and repair efforts get underway, the crews of the Alema, Mala, and Nimi are afforded little opportunity to lick their wounds; as the only Sesk'vati ships left at operational capacity in the aftermath of the attempted invasion, they are tasked with the continued defense of Ryloth. The Mala, a CR90 corvette, and her complement of six HLAF-500 starfighters patrol near the CEC space dock in orbit over Kala'uun, while her sister CR90, the Nimi, and her starfighters patrol near the dock in orbit over Lessu. The Almea, a Proficient-class cruiser with a complement of nine starfighters, begins to patrol over Ryloth's northern hemisphere, sending out two combat air patrols of three starfighters each to extend her reach.

Sesk'vati Proficient-class cruiser, the Alema - Captain's Quarters
Poy'orn, captain of the Alema, rubs the bridge of her nose after setting her datapad down once she is up to date on the latest reports from the CEC space docks regarding the progress on the repairs of the ships damaged in the recent orbital battle between the Sesk'vati and an invading force calling itself the Order of O'lim. It will be, the reports indicate, weeks before the damaged ships are able to resume their duties - replacement parts needing to be ordered and delivered, and crew members to be trained or reassigned to replace the fallen - meaning that the crews of the Alema, Mala, and Nimi will have tend to their own repairs and crew replacements while maintaining their patrols in orbit over Ryloth as they are the only Sesk'vati ships to have weathered the battle in operational states.
Poy'orn picks up her datapad once more after a moment, reading through the bits and pieces of information about the enemy the Sesk'vati have learned from analysis of the damaged equipment left behind and recovered after their withdrawal. The intel, such as it is, is scant enough; which is ultimately of little consequence in Poy'orn's opinion given that, even if they were able to learn where the Order of O'lim had withdrawn to, the Sesk'vati lack sufficient resources to pursue them and end the threat they might yet represent to the universe.

Sesk'vati CEC Spacedock, the Toqema - In orbit over Kala'uun
Sesk'vati engineers, mechanics, and other support personnel aboard the spacestation and spacedock have been working diligently almost around the proverbial clock on the repair of the two heavily damaged Sesk'vati Proficient-class cruisers that had been towed to the Toqema in the aftermath of the foiled invasion, and are able to celebrate the completion of their first job when the Koyi, having been fully repaired and with it's crew having arrived earlier to resume their duties after vigorous systems checks had been performed prior to the cruiser getting underway, is able to depart from the dock where it had been undergoing repairs.
As the Koyi makes for its assigned patrol route over Ryloth's southern hemisphere, where it will soon be joined by the CR90 corvettes, the Xiann and Nolaa, when their repairs have been completed.
