Three days ago on Coruscant a Jedi Knight named Trishna Menon was named Watchman of the Ryloth star system.
Two days ago on Coruscant a Jedi Knight named Trishna Menon met her end, though her body was not, nor will it ever be, found.
Today a Whitecloak fighter belonging to Trishna Menon, Jedi Knight and Watchman of the Ryloth star system, arrives in orbit over Ryloth, the second planet in the Ryloth star system.
The pilot of the starfighter, who has chosen to become Trishna Menon, and who now bears the yellow-hued lightsaber the Jedi once bore, opens a comm channel to Ryloth's planetary traffic controllers and says, Control, this is Jedi Watchman Menon requesting permission to land in Lessu to meet with the Head Clan, over.
Her message having been sent, the woman who is now, for all practical intents and purposes, Jedi Knight Trishna Menon awaits a reply to her request, and as she waits she looks out at the dull, russet-hued orb she has traveled to because of who and what she has chosen to become, wondering what awaits her when her wait has ended.

A blue-skinned Rutian Twi'lek, one of the Sesk'vati assigned the often dull and repetitive task of managing Ryloth's civilian and commercial traffic, yawns as his lekku swish absently behind his back while he starts scanning his holographic display of incoming traffic for an open slot in incoming civilian traffic as he opens a channel to the Whitecloak and says, Kah'lehalle so fendoon, Jedi Watchman Menon. Please hold your present speed and course while I obtain your clearance. Closing the comm channel, the Rutian grumbles to himself about how a Jedi Watchman would have been useful when the recent invasion had been attempted as he goes through the routine tasks of verifying the ship's transponder codes and origins before, when all the necessary checks come back perfectly vanilla, contacting the Head Clan to alert them to the arrival of a Jedi Watchman requesting a meeting with them.
After all is in order where the Jedi, her clearance to land, and her meeting with the Head Clan are concerned, the Sesk'vati reopens the comm channel and says, You have been cleared to make for Lessu, Watchman Menon. Be advised that the city's upper level and starport are undergoing repairs, and that your assigned course will be taking you to temporary landing facilities near the city's center. The Head Clan has been made aware of your arrival, and can meet with you at 14:00 today. Your assigned course is being sent to your ship now, and you may adjust heading and begin approach upon receipt. Welcome to Ryloth, the Rutian concludes before closing the comm channel and watching his boards to make sure the ship makes the requested course adjustments.

Thank you control, Trishna says when given permission to continue on with the journey meant to be that of another, Beginning my approach now, she adds before terminating the comm transmission.
As she takes the Whitecloak fighter into a turn, angling its nose downward ever so slightly, Trishna mentally reviews what she learned of Ryloth, its history, and its culture from the Jedi Knight she has supplanted in preparation of playing the latest role she has assumed in a life comprised of many diverse roles. As the Whitecloak descends further and further down towards Ryloth's surface, Trishna slides deeper and deeper into her chosen role, shaping even her thoughts into the thoughts she believes her namesake would have thought while taking another step closer towards assuming a role that she herself had chosen.
The Jedi Knight and Watchman that Ryloth will have watching over her may not truly be the same one who was sent to watch over her, but, all the same, watch over her the Jedi Knight and Watchman who has come to Ryloth will.

A Nemesis-class patrol ship, the Gledalac, enters Ryolth's orbit after making its way up from the planet's surface. After a quick course adjustment, the Gledalac speeds away from the planet, jumping to hyperspace as soon as it has exited the planet's gravity well.

The Geheim Masjien, a YT-2400 light freighter, emerges from hyperspace and slows to ahead dead slow in order to make a quick sensor sweep of the immediate vicinity in order to determine if they have, as planned, arrived at a point in space currently unpatrolled by Ryloth's defensive course. Once they have determined that their arrival has not been detected, and that no other vessels are currently showing in their sensors, which gives them a window of opportunity to make planetfall without attracting any unwanted notice, the flight crew of the YT-2400 makes the course adjustments required to bring the ship onto a course to head down to the Jixuan Desert where they have established a base of operation in a cave located along the thin, habitable border between Ryloth's Bright Lands and Nightlands.
Once on course, and after a quick sensor sweep ensures that there are still no vessels within sensor range, the YT-2400 accelerates and makes for the Jixuan Desert.

Groaning as he rolls his neck from side to side, Razmik asks his co-pilot, "What do you think? Ask permission like good boys and girls, or play bad guys n' gals and just mischievously make our way down without letting anyone know we're here?"
Slowing the Nemesis-class patrol ship to ahead dead slow after, having emerged from hyperspace distant enough from Ryloth that they can consider how best to proceed with their undercover operation, Alessia tugs at one of the three hoops in the outer conch of her pointy right ear as she says, "Since we're going to Kala'uun's starport, which we know the Sesk'vati keep a close watch over, I think we're better off playing it like squares this time."
Nodding after pondering the question for a moment, Razmik says cheerily in his refined Coruscanti accent, "Squares it is then, and then waves a hand towards the instrument panel as he adds, You can do the honors," as he ups the ship's speed to ahead one-third to continue on towards Ryloth.
"Whoopee," Alessia says dryly while circling an index finger in the air, reaching forward to open a channel to Ryloth's planetary traffic controllers. Ryloth PTC, Alessia says once the channel is open, This is the Gledalac, requesting permission to land in Kala'uun starport. Over.
The Gladalac's registration will list its owner as Razmik Gregoryan, the self-employed captain of the ship according to the cover identity that has been established for the undercover Sector Ranger Special Enforcement Officer. A fabricated criminal past being a boon to any undercover law enforcement officer, Razmik's name has several past offenses attached to it, ranging from petty theft to smuggling, with all the offenses carefully chosen that, together, they do not result in too red a flag being raised whenever the crew chooses to announce its intent to make planetfall.

Kah'lehalle so fendoon, Gledalac, the blue-skinned Rutian Twi'lek, one of the Sesk'vati assigned to monitoring and directing orbital to surface traffic, says after the Nemesis-class patrol ship has relayed it's landing request. Please hold your present position while your landing request is processed, the Rutian adds before temporarily closing the comm channel so that he can get to work.
Clucking his tongue when his records search reveals that the Gledalac's captain has a bit of a checkered past, the Sesk'vati does a bit more digging before, once he determines that there are no current warrants out for Gregoryan, sending a message to the Sesk'vati stationed at Kala'uun starport to alert them to the impending arrival of a known smuggler. His tone civil yet more chilly than before, the Sesk'vati reopens the comm channel as he sends a datapacket to the ship which includes its assigned flight path, saying, You are cleared to proceed to Kala'uun starport Gledalac. Be advised that all incoming ships may subject to routine inspection upon landing, and that your crew may be required to submit to routine security checks. Welcome to Ryloth.

After entering orbit and increasing speed to move out of the planet's gravity well, the Geheim Masjien, a YT-2400 light freighter, adjusts its course and soon winks from view as it enters hyperspace to set out on the first leg of its latest hyperspace journey.

You are cleared to proceed to Kala'uun starport Gledalac. Be advised that all incoming ships may subject to routine inspection upon landing, and that your crew may be required to submit to routine security checks. Welcome to Ryloth. "Ah, many thanks Ryloth PTC, Razmik replies, closing the comm channel and looking over at his co-pilot to ask, Any reason to worry about the possibility of a security check?"
Alessia, the blonde haired Morganian co-pilot of the Gledalac, shakes her head as she begins bringing the Nemesis-class patrol ship onto the course it has been assigned, "We're here to pick up something we might need to worry about, so no reason to worry about the Sesk'vati having a look when we land, no. The Sesk'vati wanting a look before we lift off to set out again, on the other hand. . ."
Chuckling, Razmik says, "Well, hopefully our friends in Kala'uun will make sure that no one feels the need for a look before we depart then."
The Gledalac continues on down towards its destination as Razmik informs the rest of his crew that they will setting down in Kala'uun starport soon.

Sesk'vati Proficient-class cruiser, the Alema - Bridge
Poy'orn, captain of the Alema, rubs the bridge of her nose and shakes her head when, after a longer chase than she would have liked, the Wayfarer-class medium transport known to deal in the trade of Twi'lek slaves is at last captured, its engines disabled by fire from the HLAF-5000 starfighters that had engaged it and prevented it from making a jump to hyperspace.
Why, Poy wonders as she begins giving orders to her crew to come alongside of the crippled Wayfarer and to open a comm channel so she can try and convince the boc'ara serving as the smuggling freighter's captain to surrender without a fight, there are smugglers willing to risk their lives to trade in slaves kidnapped from their homes when there are many families on Ryloth that still adhere to the bastardized version of the ancient rite of Vassij'ra, in which Twi'lek daughters are sold into slavery by impoverished families desperate to survive, is something of a mystery to her. Mystery or no where their motivations are concerned, Poy has nothing but contempt for slavers, and almost, moments later when the captain of the Wayfarer surrenders, wishes that he had instead forced her to kill him and his crew.

Realspace appeared in the viewport, with Ryloth directly overhead. Dee looked up and smiled, hiding the feeling of nausea that had been brewing since they left Dressel only a few minutes prior.
Hey, lookie here, we made it and in record time too.

Shaking her head in disbelief as she looks from her instruments, which show that only moments have passed since they entered hyperspace, Dikeledi looks up and out the forward viewport at the unmistakable sight of Ryloth hanging in the star speckled void ahead of the Geheim Masjien, and says, "No. That's . . ."
Leaning forward in his chair, an elated and exuberant smile on his face, Fumnanya utters an awed, "Awesome!"
". . . impossible, Dikeledi says, looking from the sight of Ryloth over towards Dee, something akin to fear mixed in with the disbelief still lingering in her eyes. How in the actual f. . ."
Fumnanya, interrupting Dikeledi after shaking his head with a chuckle, becomes more serious as he says, "AVI, do a quick sensor sweep of the area, make sure we don't have any Sesk'vati ships bearing down on us. Dikeledi, he sits up straighter in his chair, not wanting to be distracted by the thoughts of what Dee has achieved or how profitable it could be for him and his crew if she can continue to do it on a regular basis, and looks down to watch for the results of the scan on his boards as he continues, lay in a course for the Jixuan Desert that avoids any other traffic the sensor sweep shows. Dee, he looks up from his boards as Dikeledi begins laying in their course for Dee to follow when they head for the planet's surface, grinning as he says emphatically, Well done. Once AVI finishes the scan and we know we haven't attracted any attention, take us down to the desert."

AVI begins scanning, but the scope is coming up blank. They arrived "under" the southern pole and away from most traffic, especially as close to the planet as Dee had placed them. Some ships were inbound to the major cities, but they were faint blips and easily avoided
AVI "nodded" at Dee, before turning into a visual representation of the planet, and the exact location in the desert they were to go.
Aye
She looked over and gave a sheepish smile at Dikeledi to try and cover some of the disbelief. Looking forward, she gunned the throttle and blasted towards the planet.

Emerging from hyperspace, the Gledalac, a Nemesis-class patrol ship, slows to ahead dead slow. In the cockpit of the Gledalac, Razmik Grigoryan, stretches his arms overhead as he asks his co-pilot, "Do you want to do the honors, or shall I?"
Alessia Salinitri, a diminutive, blonde haired Morganian, shrugs and says, "I'll do it." Opening a comm channel to Ryloth's planetary traffic controllers, Alessia says, Ryloth PTC, this is the Gledalac, requesting permission to land in Kala'uun starport, over. As they begin the wait to be cleared for landing, Alessia asks Razmik, What do you think the odds are that whoever is taking over for Sinya will reach out after we set down?"
Rubbing his chin, Razmik replies, "Even odds, I'd say. More likely than not they will have inherited Sinya's Sesk'vati sources along with her position, so they'll know we're here not long after we set down at any rate."
"Any ideas about who took Sinya out? Alessia asks, following that up with, Or if her being out of the picture will impact our case? We'll be back at square one as far as gaining their trust is concerned, making it that much more difficult to figure out who is on the next highest rung of the ladder."
Shaking his head, Razmik replies, "No ideas yet. It might be something to look into, I'll have Wenqian see if she can't get her hands on the Sesk'vati's investigative reports. As for the next rung, we may have to consider being more proactive this time around. Push to meet with someone higher up the food chain perhaps. Waving the subject aside, his personal vendetta against Fumnanya Jang making trying to get his hands on the smuggler and his crew a bigger priority for him no matter what he might tell himself or his crew, Razmik concludes, Let's get a feel for the lay of the land first."

Ilar'rar, the Sesk'vati that happens to catch the call from the Gledalac, is in the middle of a yawn when he happens to do his usual cursory check of the list of ship names on the Sesk'vati's current watch list and happens to see that the Gledalac is on that list. Sitting up straighter in his seat after double checking the list, the orange skinned Twi'lek opens a channel to the Nemesis-class patrol ship and puts on his best business as usual voice as he says, Kah'lehalle so fendoon, Gledalac. Hold present speed and course, and standby for clearance. Muting the comm channel, Ilar'rar mutters a few curses as he reaches for the dusty procedural manual sitting in the corner of his station and flips through it to find out what exactly it is he needs to do with a ship that is on the watchlist.
Once he has the right page, Ilar follows the itemized list, opening a database that has the specific instructions for what to do with particular red flagged ships; which, in the case of the Gledalac, is to notify the Sesk'vati in Kala'uun of the ship's arrival and clear it as though nothing is amiss. Once he has contacted the Sesk'vati in Kala'uun, Ilar reopens the comm channel and tells Grigoryan in a normal tone, You've been cleared to land in Kala'uun starport, Gledalac. Flight path has been sent, and you may begin your approach now. Welcome back to Ryloth, and enjoy your stay.

"Sweet, Alessia says when they are cleared to head on to Kala'uun, and then opens the comm channel, Thanks, control. Beginning approach now. As she reviews the flight plan they were given and the adjusts their heading to start following it, she asks Razmik, So, what's the play when we set down? Head to the upper levels and find someplace to stay for a bit, or head to the Kitchens and see if we can sort out who the new Sinya will be?"
Razmik rubs his chin as he weighs the options, and then says, "No sense waiting around is there? Wenqian and Armin can sort out the temporary living arrangements while you and I make ourselves visible at Mal'aa's and see what happens."
"Sounds like great fun," Alessia replies, beginning their descent towards the Lonely Five mountain range.

High above Ryloth, further out than most, a Star Courier slipped into realspace. Its stealth gear began immediately sending out altered identifier codes and cloaking the contents, showing only a few occupants and no extra cargo. As the Bifrost got closer to the planet, Theo pinged Traffic Control. Within moments, it came back green and the approach plan was amended.
With clearances granted, the ship pushed into the atmosphere and headed down.

All carried on in the galaxy, the comings and goings of natural life never-ending. From the conquering of worlds by larger factions to the rebellion and resistance to those in power. Even the flow of the Force and crime never stopped as the galaxy continued to spin. However, there were the occasional worlds that seem to experience the brighter side of this endless cycle: Ryloth. The homeworld of the Twi'lek race continued on, living relatively peaceful lives upon their planet, despite the harsher nature of the world due to its varied and dangerous terrain.
But as with all things, that peace found its end.
Emerging from hyperspace close to the planet, a single Kiltirin-class Dungeon Ship and a pair YV-865 Aurore-class Freighters pressed into the planet's atmosphere without so much as stopping to verify that any kind of fleet or defenses existed in orbit as if they were certain the space around Ryloth was clear. If any were around when the ships arrived, it would have been clear just who they were: slavers. And for slavers, there were few better options for profits than Twi'leks. The men served to carry on with physical labor while the females eased the desires of lustful men. Even the children held some form of value depending on who was buying.
As the ships entered the atmosphere, the slaver captain spoke out over the comms to the ships.
Alright, boys. You know the drill. Break formation and head to your designated coordinates. Our scouts have done their part so we can easily grab and go. So no dawdling. Spighr out. With the orders given, the two freighters broke away, each heading in a separate direction. As Spighr had stated, the scouts had laid out the plans and locations. Two smaller villages for the freighters with a bit larger one for the dungeon ship, each the proper size to accommodate the provided space the ships had. To top it off, with the proper coordinates and the suggested little defenses the villages had, establishing dominance would be quick and effortless.

Standing at the front of the Prowler's bridge, fixed between Kel and Makayl, Kia watched as they exited hyperspace and the world of Ryloth appeared before them. With each passing moment, the feelings she had kept growing, and now that they were here, the sensations of the Force were near their peak. Something was definitely wrong on the surface and she intended to find out what.
Taking a deep breath, she issued her commands. "Engage cloaking device and head to the coordinates in the message. Whatever is going on down there, I intend to find out and give them a surprise when we make a move."
The Nautolan to her right gave a nod with a smile.
"Stealth systems active and beginning our approach now. Whoever is causing trouble won't even know we're coming. With his final words, he pressed forward bringing the ship down into the planet's atmosphere towards the distress signal.

Clearing the planet's gravity well, the Kiltirin-class Dungeon Ship and two YV-865 Aurore-class Freighters formed up before coordinates were set for their destination. In a blink of an eye, the trio of ships vanished into hyperspace.
