Tag pressed a finger against his temple, seeking a moment to sort out his thoughts. He wished Ellie had more information to divulge, but sometimes it just couldn't be helped. He could tell the woman was itching to get things started, and he could understand her reasons why. It was said the first two weeks were critical in a kidnapping that spanned inter-system lines, though Tag felt Ellie was already a step ahead after having run into GALSAF. He slapped a hand against the tabletop standing and collecting his things. "Let's get at it then." He told her, jerking his head aside at Gaunt, who likewise picked up his own gear. "We'll head to the Comm-Sec room and I'll lay out the plan to Coronel Trasky." As the rest of the group began filtering out of the holding room, Tag stayed behind a moment with Ellie. He took her lightly by the arm, muttering under his breath. "Look, I'm not saying it's an impossible situation. But it doesn't sound like a good one, either. I can tell this Jedi means plenty to you, and I swear, we'll do everything we can to get them back."

*Ellie stood up quickly, finally relieved that they were almost ready. She was about to leave when Tag stopped her. Listening to his words of reassurance, she gave a nod.* "Thank you, for everything. I'm not even sure what we would have done if we made it to Felucia. Not gotten very far I expect, that's for sure."

Tag shook his head, looking at Ellie intently. She felt deeply, about more than just this mission. She was true Mando'ad, Tag could see it in her eyes. "It's what we're here for Ordo, no thanks necessary. We're just glad we found out so we could do something about it." Tag released the woman's arm from his light grip and they continued on into the corridor where he keyed a turbolift that would take them to the deck that was home to the Comm-Sec station. When they finally arrived several minutes later, Coronel Trasky was standing at the far side of the holoprojector in the center of the dimly lit room. Currently displayed was the holographic face of Ander Tagira, GALSAF's Lord Commander. The two men seemed to be involved in a heated debate, a common sight between the organization's leadership. Tag nodded to the Coronel, waiting for the two men to conclude their current business. Trasky, I don't care what the Jedi think of us, it's the Republic we'll have to worry about. Tagira was saying. They could cause a lot of trouble for us within their space should we have the need to go back any time soon. Trasky shook his head. "We both know the seat of power rests with the Order, regardless of what the Senate says about anything. They may have separated themselves from the government, but I'm willing to bet they still carry a good deal of weight." We'll discuss it later, Trasky, with Staton. The Lord Commander's avatar replied. Tagira's face shimmered slightly as the holoprojector reoriented his image to face the new arrivals. You must be Ellie Ordo, the woman who brought the Sith slaving ring to our attention. You have our thanks for that. Ander addressed Ellie directly, her own image displayed across the Galaxy on Tagira's datatablet aboard the Basterd's Hand. Tag nodded, gesturing to the Mandalorian woman and her companions. "Aye sir. I've already designed an op-order for the mission, I just need to get this vessel to Felucian space and establish recce units on the surface before landing our troops. Ellie here's given me as much information as she has on the Sith operating there." Tagira's head bobbed as he nodded. Good, keep Coronel Trasky and myself apprised of any updates. As for you, Ordo, I wish you the best on this mission. Our commandos are amongst the best, your task is in good hands, and I'm glad to know you'll be accompanying them.

*Ellie followed Tag and the others into the comm-sec station. There she saw the holographic image of the man in charge. She gave a slight formal bow to Ander Tagira as he spoke to her.* "Yes I am, sir. There's no need to thank me. I'm just trying to do what is right for the galaxy. These Sith are a problem and they must be removed." *Her attention turned to Tag as he relayed his information. She had taken a military parade stance. A habit she had developed over years of training an formality.* "It will be an honor to work with them. I'm just anxious to get this over with. This task has gone on far longer then originally planned."

Alema'vrei stayed nervously quiet during the conversation. She didn't know who to trust. Right now, she was beginning to wonder if she should trust Ellie. Then again, Senator Crom'nen brought her along for a reason. If anyone in the galaxy knew what he was doing, it was the Golden Tongue. She wished she could get him a message or get his advice, but how to do it without being caught?
She had been listening and following, trying to suppress her natural tendency to speak before thinking. Then they walked in on the image of this, she supposed, Jedi, talking how the Senate had no power. It sounded as if he wanted the seize control. Just like all others who made themselves his enemies, this man underestimated Crom'nen. Very few survive that mistake. She crossed her arms and scowled at Ander from the background.

The Lord Commander's face bobbed once more as he nodded in comprehension of Elli's words somewhere in the far reaches of the Galaxy. I understand your drive, Ordo. Tagira replied, a hand appearing along the bottommost edges of the hologram, fingers scratching at the stubble that covered his face. And I trust you'll understand the necessity of our methods. No plan survives contact with the enemy, as the saying goes, but it's good to show up with the best one you can. The Commander's face shifted towards Tag. Once you have completed your recce of the area, update me with the contingency plans you draw up. Tag nodded. Of course. Tagira's eyes roved across Ellie and her companions. A Wookiee, a Human, a Twi'lek...he wondered briefly what had brought these individuals together. The Commander's gaze fell on the Twi'lek woman, who stoney expression betrayed an internal conflict of some kind raging within her mind. Ma'am. The Commander addressed her directly. I founded this organization on the belief that it was our responsibility to rout out injustice, tyranny, corruption and struggle wherever we found it. We serve the common being of this Galaxy, and submit to no authority above that of our own. We exist to serve people like you. The Commander's tone was firm, though tinged with a modicum of compassion. I see there is something weighing on you. Speak freely, if you wish, so we can better serve you. Whatever it is you may need, as long as we can provide it, it is yours. Tag shifted uncomfortably within his armor. He'd never gotten used to the way Tagira addressed people, driving straight to a point. He despised formality in the context of military decisiveness, but the way the man cut to the heart of more personal matters had always left him feeling uneasy. Tag refrained from speaking, though his gaze turned to the Twi'lek woman, curious what she might decide to reveal of herself.

The medic was a little embarrassed to be called out. Her right lekku twitched and betrayed her nervousness. She had intentionally stayed in the background. She blushed, then stood a little straighter and let her arms dropped to her side.
I can't help but think that you guys here act like that you're better than others, floating up here and detached from people. To you, this is a military operation, another check on your list, perhaps even another medal. To me, and others down there, this is our daily life. We live this. My sister was kidnapped and treated as property, until Crom'nen brought her home. She bit her lip for a moment, decided how much she could say without betraying the Obyrru. I joined with a few others to stop slaving from Ryloth, while Crom'nen has reformed our culture. This isn't just another mission. This is personal. But you guys would rather pick your fights away from the people instead of lowering yourself to join with us. Don't join the Republic, or live on a world that needs help. Just stay up here, away from everything so you don't get dirty.
Alema'vrei took a deep breath, then hung her head. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I know you're doing what probably think is best. It's been a long couple of days, and I'm kinda freaking out about leaving the surface for the first time. I know I should be grateful that you are offering to help.
She half knew the apology was right, but the other half thought that her rant was right. These people obviously had resources. She was suspicious of just how much, actually. She didn't trust them really. She didn't like the fact that they recognize no authority, including those appointed to speak for the people, like Crom'nen. But she also knew that she often let her emotions run away with her, and was doing so now.

The Commander shook his head as the Twi'lek woman apologized for her words. "No, no, ma'am, all peoples are free here. Speaking your mind, regardless of what you say, should never be something you feel you must apologize for." Tagira remained silent for several long moments, allowing the woman to gather her thoughts before he addressed each of her expressed concerns in a warm, firm voice. You are not the first to see things this way. And I want you to know we do not think ourselves better, nor worse. Merely equal. We do not bow to others, no, but neither do we require others bow before us. This operation is of a military nature, yes, but only due to the circumstances surrounding it. We are facing an organization of dangerous individuals, and careful planning must go into our work, or else we risk innocent lives and the lives of our own. If we did not feel deeply for these people who have been taken as slaves, we would not be here discussing how best to free them. We might live as pirates or vagabonds, enriching our own lives. Everything we do comes with an amount of risk, but we do not take such risk lightly. In a way, this is another mission. But it is not just another mission. Our goal here is to ensure that people like yourself are cared for when you cannot care for yourself, that you are fought for when you cannot fight for yourself. You say you live this life that we see as lesser than our own, but I assure you...many of our own come from backgrounds similar to yours, have suffered and struggled with little or no hope on the horizon for one day securing a better life for themselves and those they care for. Many of our members come from adversity, and we have nothing but compassion for those who suffer. That, my friend, is why we are here today. Not to enrich our own lives, but to enrich the lives of others. Ander took a moment to let the woman consider his words before he continued. The man she mentioned, Crom'nen, Tagira had heard of. He was known to be a ruthless politician, but one that fought tooth and claw for his constituents. The work he had conducted had not escaped the Commander's attention, who one day hoped to meet the man in person. We operate outside the laws of the Republic, of any government, yes. But we do so to avoid our work being chained by the shackles of bureaucracy. Too often have I seen innocent lives lost or destroyed by a paralyzed government that exists to serve and protect them. I cannot justify our methods in any terms you would understand, but ask that you only see the good we have brought to many. I may not answer to your government, but only because I answer only to you and those you love. Tagira knew the reputation of his organization had suffered in recent months. The debacle at Kuat, in which GALSAF had attempted to draw intelligence regarding Mandalorian operations in the Yavin system, had proved fruitless, and given the impression to many that they sought to be conquerers. But the truth was far from cut and dry. Shades of grey existed in almost everything they did, from their counter-insurgency operations, to their humanitarian efforts. He could not convince everyone of their intentions through dialogue, and so he relied solely on their actions to speak the truth in their hearts.

Alema'vrei wasn't sure how to respond. They were very similar to the Obyrru on Ryloth, the organization led by Worm. Crom'nen helped fund them, helped swell their ranks. They existed outside of even Ryloth's laws. They did not worry about arrests or trials. They did what they wanted to ensure freedom for all Twi'lek. And yet, she felt it was different, but it was their home. These people had no home. And they had Crom'nen, who went out to make the galaxy better. If only these people could meet him. I guess I just don't see why you can't also work with the Senate to make things better for everyone. But I understand what you're trying to do. And like I said, I'm grateful for the help.

The Commander's avatar shimmered slightly as interference struck the Holocom's connection. After a moment the image settled, and Tagira replied thoughtfully to the Twi'lek woman's words. You speak the words I've thought much to myself of late, young woman. The Commander stated plainly. He felt no shame in her having voiced what should have been obvious for him from the beginning. She was right to challenge his idea of absolute autonomy, as Admiral Staton had often and voraciously. Autonomy from authority was a good thing for GALSAF, but autonomy without cooperation at all would only spell doom in the long run. We were recently confronted by Jedi forces on Yavin Four that did not end well for relations between our two organizations. I must admit the fault was mine, though I ask that this not shake your faith in our ability to aid you and your friends now. I made decisions based on what I knew, and as a result, relations between ourselves and the Order suffered. I have thought deeply since on how best to repair them, and believe that finding a way to work with the Republic government would benefit in this endeavor. The Commander's gaze faltered momentarily as he prepared to ask something of this young woman. Our organization normally asks nothing in return for the assistance we give. Sometimes we are bequeathed with supplies and materials from those we aid, though there is only one thing you have that I believe you can spare in exchange for our help...Help me make contact with this Republic official of yours, Crom'nen. Long have I watched him in the Senate, though I have never met the man you seem to revere. You are right that we cannot work alone forever, and to attempt to do so will only end in misery for those we seek to defend and provide for. Deliver me to Crom'nen, when this is all over, I beg of you.

Alema'vrei knew that Crom'nen too had no great love of the Jedi. He distrusted them, for some reason she did not know. She did not know him, personally. The only time she had spoken to him was arguing over the human girl next to her. Still... I will do what I can, but I can't make any promises.

*Ellie listened to what Alema'vrei said. She knew the Twi'lek women was concerned for her people, then again why wouldn't she be. Her people had been through enough. She turned to Ander Tagira and spoke.* "I may not know much about Crom'nen, but I'm sure he'll listen to what you have to say. He fights hard for his people. Having help that isn't restrained by the republic would be a valuable asset."

"The Inner" Herceles-class Escape CorvetteThe inner took four hits, one from the long range turbolasers and three light ones. Its shields quickly dropped to 70 percent. Inside the ship, all non essential electronic modules were shut down or put on minimal power, several hallways had the life support system shut down, and all communication, sensors and weapons were shut down. All access energy went to engines, shields and the Sensor Scrambler. The sensor scrambler was set to full power, its range including the two Dreadnoughts and the Ardent class most likely rendering their sensors inapt too vanishing them from sensors. Now only the numerous view-ports and cameras on-board let the crew know what was happening. Most importantly, the ship was gone from all sensors, and was hard to find from the front where its thruster backwash was not visible. Its thruster backwash was visible for the two ships behind it though, and they should get a surprise to see a SECOND set of ion engines fire up and give the ship extra speed, closing 70 MGLT and accelerating. Shooting that at several thousand km range without sensors to help the auto aiming would be hard. Especially since it started flying in an evasive manner. The 100m ship was a small target too.Edmund I Ardent-class Fast FrigateAs soon as the firing started the Ardent activated a strong comm scrambling signal in its relative proximity, trying to stop the two Dreadnoughts from communicating. As the sensors scrambler set in play, Blackadder hoped that the dreadnought giving chance would be unaware of what was happening to its friend that stayed back to hold an eye on the Edmund. Same for the rest of Ryloth. The ship powered up its guns and put itself in full thruster mode, speeding up. It started a rather close arc that would take it behind the large and slow Dreadnought all the while all the starboard cannons started firing at it. Seeing how slow the dreadnought was in comparison to the Ardent, the ardent had a better chance of dodging turbolaser bolts, not to mention its crew had more experience in firing while moving fast at moving targets. Supposedly at least.
10 heavy turbolaser cannons and 6 medium turbolaser cannons opened a volley towards the dreadnought being left, while the Ardent was trying to arc in behind it. Most of the shield power was set to protect the starboard.
The remaining 4 stealth X fighters launched from the port side, and took flight towards the darkness of the moon with stealth X technology fully operational and active. They will try to hide in the shadows until its time for them to act. Beta, the ship slingshoting around the moon, gains a visual on teh Inner's exhaust ports, it own engines, and the maneuver, gave it a meager speed of 50 MGLT, but it's primary forward armament was a pair of fire-linked LR turbolasers, with which it opened fire, using a hastily set up ranging laser on the bridge as its primary source of targeting info. Delta, the other vessel, noticed the fire from its sister ship, and, one of the crew noticing the ardent had turned around announced that the frigate was moving, and the captain ordered all shields to be bolstered by non-essential systems and the reserve reactors. Fire would be directed at their best guess and probable objectives. Enemy fire splashes off the port shields, which fall to 92%. These ships might not be agile, and their armament limited, but they were still made to take a hit.
The stealth x's are not noticed, by either dreadnought. The approaching Blastboats, notice the sudden static produced by the jammer, and switch to their variable comm units, which uses an a rapid random cycle of infrequently used channels to circumvent the comm jamming, and seeing the Inner headed past them, illuminated and/or silhouetted by near misses and hits from Beta, and turn to intercept, opening fire on the larger Inner with Ion cannons, heavy laser cannons, and a pair of blind fired concussion missiles, set with proximity fuses, each. Alpha, the only dreadnought currently interposed between the Inner and Ryloth, struggled to find anything close to a lock, until the Lieutenant in charge of fire-control, worked out that the center of the sensor jammer was the Inner, and then it was simple geometry to pinpoint the Inner's real-time location, which he fed to the gunners, who immediately opened fire with a full dorsal volley, which includes twenty, 20, LR turbolaser cannons, eighteen, 18, light turbolaser cannons, and three starfighter grade concussion missiles, programmed to detonate in a triangle around the projected location of the bridge area, accounting for most evasive maneuvers in such a way that anything shy of a sixty degree turn would leave the Inner wihtin the blast radius of at least one warhead.
Gamma, guarding the back door, as it were, (on the other side of Ryloth) sent out a mayday signal, indicating that a new attack had been initiated on Ryloth, though it was unlikely that anyone else with republic ties and an interest in helping Ryloth would get the message before it was all over.

The Inner
While the leftenants idea was cute, it didnt really work out perfectly. The only point of reference he had to where the scrambler field ended was the moon, and the big chunk of it that was not showing up on the sensors. With the sensors anomaly shrinking rapidly, the Leftenant had less and less to run his calculations, thus less and less accurate calculations. Some of the broadside strike did hit though taking the shields down to 55 percent. The missiles fired from dosens of thousands kilometers might be well placed on an Imperial Star Destroyer, but not a 100m long ship built for speed and manoeuvrability few can match in the galaxy. The missiles fired from the dreadnought made a historic mark on Ryloths moon. The dreadnought following the inner was too slow, and the shots it fired missed widely.
The blast boats had more luck, getting a couple good hits in on the Inner as they got to their intercept course. While Fireing missiles were still useless against the ship, laser and ion fire had some effect, getting the shields down to 40 percent. Now, that the Inner flew past them, they had the choice to chase, but they would have to face the dorsal mounted quad laser cannon turret just waiting for them to show up on chase trajectory.
The inner flew towards the dorsal side of the dreadnought, several thousand kilometers above it to stay out of its point blank range thus rendering its weapons ineffective against the much smaller and agile ship. The blast boats stayed a threat still. Atia the Nightsister asked the camera control officer to show her an aft camera to see the chasing blast boats. Would they decide to follow, they would be met with a nasty surprise. The Sensor scrambler left the range of the moon, not giving any more points of reference to count its radius from anymore, and the Dreadnought broadsiding them was now probably in its range, making it even harder for its gunners to get any hits in on it in the future.
Edmund I Ardent-class Fast Frigate
The Ardent got around to the left alone Dreadnought, and aimed both its tractor beams on its rear so the ship would have to drag the smaller ardent after it if it wanted to turn. Admiral Blackadder gave the order of free fire on the thrusters. With a quick turn to angle in all guns before the tractors aimed to latch on, every gun started to rain hell on the thrusters, fireing inside the unshielded parts where the thruster energy actually erupted from, aiming to cripple the ships manouverability fully. By this time, the sensors came back online, and aiming became a lot easyer. The Ardent started to continiously fire on the dreadnought. Blackadder saw it with great pleasure that the other dreadnought had executed a slingshot manouver bringing it very far very fast from its sister ship, judging from its size and manouverability, the ship in his target was going to be alone for a very long time. Blackadder asked for a full sensory readout on the ship before him, especially concerning its shielding and where the most shield energy was channelled. They cept the comm jamming on, jamming all phrequencies in close proximity, not just the usual ones, since it would be too easy not to just change the channel to an irragular one.
5 heavy turbolaser batteries (15 cannons) 3 medium turbolaser batteries (9 cannons), 5 point laser batteries (15 cannons) fireing point blank at the engines and thrusters from behind, with a Fire At Will order, with full sensory lock-on.

The commander's face dipped downward as he nodded, the holographic image shimmering slightly with the distortion of random interference. You have my deepest thanks. He told the Twi'lek woman, before glancing to Ellie Ordo. I will do my best to see your needs are met, all of you. If there is anything else you require, simply ask. With that, Tagira looked to Tag. Mission command is yours. I expect frequent updates throughout the operation. Tag nodded before the commander's avatar shimmered once more and disappeared. He looked over at Ellie, and the rest of her companions. "The majority of our pre-op planning has been completed, we'll be leaving for the Felucia system within the hour."

As the Inner moved the gunners on Alpha tried to keep up but this wasn't working well, as the ship had not been built to combat stealth craft. A communications laser was sent down to Ryloth, with an update on the battle warning them of a corvette analogue that could show up anywhere. The blast boats do turn and give chase to the Inner, still pouring Ion and heavy laser cannon fire into the ship whenever they could.
Beta
Unable to pursue the Inner any further, the lumbering dreadnought turns back towards the moon, and the ardent it knows it can hit.
Delta
Well, that certainly made things awkward, the enemy was firing into their aft and sensors detected two tractor beam locks. On the bright side, Delta DID have shield covering it's exhaust ports, they had been the single most expensive upgrade to each of the four dreadnoughts. Aft shields dropped to 87%, before the commander grinned and then ordered shield be shifted to three-quarters aft, bringing it up to 112% of it's usual strength. While they couldn't hold off the Edmund I indefinitely, it would likely be a few hours before the Ardent became a serious problem. Delta didn't maneuver at all, though it did turn two LR Trubolaser cannons and four dual-light turbolaser cannons around until they were pointing dead aft, and returned fire as best it could.
Gamma
Maintains position on the far side of Ryloth from the rest of the fleet, and waits for a response to their call for aid.

The Inner
-Driver Bob- "Miss, Shields are low, we are persued already, I advise getting out of here."
The twilek Nightsister looked down on her captain, a lovely blond human named Roberta. This all made her angry. She wanted her people off ryloth, especially since she knew that her beloved Diana was dead. She couldnt feel the woman in the force anymore, when she did the search spell. Atia Sneered as the Blastboats showed up on the main display and reached out her hands in anger. She aimed to grab two of them with the force, and crack them together like two eggs. Her anger fueled her actions, there was nothing else to it. The dark side of the Force is rash, its destructive, and when it needs to be, effective.
But she had to face the fact. The shields were bellow 50 percent, the Blast Boats would keep coming so no chance to really recharge the shields, and they still had to make it out.
"Turn it around. We are leaving. Send a Whiskey Tango Forxtrot, and inform the defenders of our retreat."
The inner made a steep turn, and headed away from ryloth, trying to break through the defenders blockade again. It Tried to be as far from the battleship as it could. Shields now at 30 percent.
-Inner to Ryloth Orbital Defence, Captain Roberta Driver- Ryloth Defence, You have won, we are leaving. Stop fireing or you will face consequences. Dont make this worse then it already is.
The ship also sent a transmission down to the surface. THree words. Whiskey, Tango, Forxtrot.
Ardent
-Blackadder- "BLOODY HELL!"
He slapped his tea off the command console, and Private Baldrick was there at once to clean it up. This happened just after he ordered the ceasefire, since her Dark Highness decided that attacking wasnt such a great jolly good idea after all.
-Blackadder- "Sodding civilians thinking they are goverments just because there are a couple dolts in warmachines they can order around. Attack, Dont attack, attack, dont attack. Bloody civilians."
Captain George stood behind the admiral, as his aidie, and decided to try and calm down the old man with some jolly old tommy compassion.
-Cap George- "But Sir! Miss Atia is a well renowned General of the fallen Phoenix Imperium! She is our commander!"
-Blackadder- "General? Did you ever see her command troops? George, you need to stop reading journalism other people use as toilet paper. She was one of Matars friends and we have to suck the short end of it. Turn the old lady around, get us out of here. Fire at that big hulk if it decides to continue the fight."
The shields were down to 89 percent, evenly distributed around the ship as it released tractor lock and started to turn away.

The Cutlass exited the atmosphere and took full advantage of the minor skirmish going on in orbit. Steering clear of the aggressive ships, the Cutlass jumped to hyperspace as soon as possible.

Upon receiving the transmission, and confirmation from the gunboats that the ship was indeed turning away from Ryloth, Rear-Admiral Sujay ordered a general cease-fire. The Gunboats dropped back out of weapons range, but escorted the Inner out of the system, lest it try some other trick. RA Sujay then ordered hi ships to return to their previous positions around Ryloth, and had the communcations officer check with the local Space authority, for an update on the ground situation. The pirate ship slipped through almost unnoticed, and got away easily.
Beta
Turned once more and headed for Ryloth's high orbit, where it would resume it's previous position as ordered.
Delta
Ceased returning fire, shields at 94% but holding, and began maneuvering back to its position in the defensive tetrahedron.
Gamma
Changed the distress signal to an all clear signal, and sent a specific request to Republic command for the requisition of new units and materials as needed for the task force's day-to-day operations, as well as a suggested list of economic and material aid for the people of Ryloth based on the computer's damage assessment of the planet.
The task force returned to its static patrols of the space around Ryloth, seeking to deter illegal traffic, which had significantly diminished in the last few hours. Largely due to the re-tasking of the Death-Seed squadrons.

A rising freighter immediately caught the attention of Rear-Admiral Sujay, but before the man could order a comm channel opened, the comm officer announced an incoming signal from the freighter. Sujay nodded to the man and looked at the screen as the jedi who had appropriated his task force so shamelessly announced that he had been recalled, and asked that he and his men stay to guard the system until Ryloth could set up it's own orbital defences. Sujay replied that he was here until ordered away. The jedi thanked him and apologized for his unorthodox manner in dragging them all to this outer rim jewel. The the jedi made his way through the blockade and out of the system, like any other ship his was scanned for any unauthorized life-forms, none were found.
