Blue Shadow: Resurgence

Good, as soon as i get a writer to write the scientist and maybe someone to provide some backup for him since he seems a little outnumbered right now... we'll get this going.

Depends on how you would define outnumbered. I'll probably lend an NPC at least to join along with Kelam, while if I understood it right the Organization and their characters would stand on the opposing side, having their own agenda. Depending on the Jedi, who join up and the Bloodrage Pirates this could easily turn into some fun chaos, where it ends up on a multisided battle, where each faction has in the end their own visions of what should happen to the virus (destroy it/contain it/improve it/spread it).
From what I've read the motivations why people are after the scientist and the virus are multiple.

But yeah, we definitly need a scientist.

Regarding the Quarren Dominion having awareness of the situation could always be argued with C'Thyl's ability of Darksight, which goes pretty much by the theme of "I know all the possible futures, which lie ahead". Although it would be overkill to send in the Prophet himself, it's in case that the scientist is not alligned with the Quarren Dominion at the start a safe solution if we have to explain how Kelam and the NPC get involved into the whole thing, since a deadly virus is for a faction of darksiders, who are pretty much specialized in finding ways to erradicate life within the galaxy, of greater interest and thus a future event, worth to note.

Should mention though that I'll only handle it as a glimpse into the future, if we would go with that explanation route - meaning that the Dominion in that case wouldn't know the details, only that the virus exists and that they have to get their hands on vials or anything that would allow them to further research it.
I'll assume that the plan will fail for us anyways in the end or would only give us a minor success, since we're the extremists on the bad guy side. IC we might be fanatics, OOC I would like to avoid any conflict I provoke with the Forum RP rules regarding super weapons and the likes of it.
Just so we keep that also in mind as it's the RP and the fun behind it what matters, not necessarily the "triumph".

Since no one has stepped up to do it i'll be writing the scientist... and may god have mercy on your souls for putting me in this position.

I have no qualms about writing against each and every one of you - or pitting you against eachother to accomplish the means of the story: so to that end... I dont care how much your characters 'know' or do not know about the virus. It has been something that has happened 3 times in galactic history so im sure anyone with an old enough memory or access to a reliable news source would know the basics. Because the 'cure' of the virus was always difficult to attain that may be something that is a little different - and I will leave that up to the various groups to research and pursue themselves. I may intervine in its creation or discovery, or i may not.

As far as the groups willing to play 'defense' for the scientist... i'll have things for each of you to do, dont worry! So if you show up willing to write you'll be able to.

Expect my first post to be going up sometime today, at the very latest tomorrow. That will set the stage for the event and give you guys a little bit of information on the 'how do we know about this' question. Anything past what i provide i leave up to the individual writers and their good sense. I have no problem with 'the force guiding me here' or 'darksight told me you a cuke' bits so long as they are believable to your character and dont unbalance the story too much.

Of course if any of you have questions or ideas on how to progress the story feel free to post them here or PM me directly if they are of a more sensitive nature.

I just like knowing how this starts so as to start with compelling narrative right from the start as each of these groups would be alerted differently based on how they receive information. For the Quarren, really it depends on the relationship between the scientist and the Dominion. Dark sight is definitely the best approach for their involvement. Just a matter of are they there and working with the scientist or the Prophet seeing it in a vision and desiring it for the dominion so sends some one out the retrieve it.

The Organization is easy. Just hearing rumors that seem to warrant attention would get them moving, if only to send an agent to look into it. Once verified, Kia’s team gets sent in.

The Jedi are the ones I’m most curious about in how they get involved. Guess we’ll leave it to your discretion on how this goes in getting started.

And honestly, I would have expected you to be the scientist. Easier to pull the strings of the event that way.

It Begins

First Post up... gives most of the starting information necessary to at least get your characters on the ground. The presence of a First Order Medical officer means that word of what is happening would have spread to the capital giving almost every one of you the chance to intercept that message or hear of it naturally.

At the moment Blue Shadow is not airborne.

There will be a different sort of style to this Event... mostly because i am trying to plan out a different way of progressing these sort of events. The post i just made is something im just calling an EVENT POST. I've given basic history of the time - the surroundings - and so far 2 or 3 different NPC type characters for you to interact with that will perhaps provide you with new information. What you do with this information will provoke a new EVENT POST from me in a couple days. Ignoring information will cause one thing, pursuing it will cause another... ect. I will do my best to take everyone's actions and influence into account for these EVENT POST's but of course some actions 'the more radical ones' or perhaps the more 'stupid ones' will provoke more of a reaction in my posts than others.

Interactions with these NPC's might be limited - mostly due to my availability and the fact that might have to speak to several of you at different times taking into account what has already been done, or what hasn't.

At the end of the day... Just have fun and try to enjoy yourselves!

Have so far noticed the posts, but will wait for the moment. At the moment it's also important for me to calculate the ammount of people I might send with the NPC on behalf of the Dominion, will definitly be a small force. 1 Sorcerer, a few acolytes, some Soldiers and Aqua Droids. 12-24 people max, as it's a more secret mission and I assume that Kelam might come just with his crew or alone.
Hope that would be okay or wouldn't mess too much with your plans while still keeping it fair competition.

No worries, I'm only sending a small taskforce. Some clankers and a few soldiers shouldn't be a challenge for the good guys, right?
Other than one shuttle, nothing major is planned.

Also wrote a post on Mon Cala to sorta give Kelam and my NPC their chance to get aware of their main task. Hope it's so far okay.

I can cook up an initial briefing here shortly.
