The young zabrak followed dutifully, her eyes sweeping over everything they passed, trying to take every detail in. Passages, paths, and routes all jumped out at her in case of problems, but her instincts were calm; there were no threats here save the one that warranted the mask on her face. She knew what Stormro said was truth; she'd noticed that in her studies that sometimes accounts didn't match up, but she'd never been able to parse what was the truth and what was the twisting of it.
The ignition of the lightsabre was reassuring, easing her nerves some. There was something unsettling about the silence, though she hadn't realized how tense her shoulders had gotten until the tension was gone. The only real noise for a while had been his voice in her head and their feet across the stone. It was... eerie.
And then the library loomed out from the darkness, and her excitement flickered across her face, her eyes widening and her mouth hanging open behind her mask, which hid the crinkle of an awe struck smile. She dared not try doing what her Master had done with one of the tomes, though she did wander a few feet away, scanning what she could of titles and volumes, her fingers inches away from the spines as she tracked what she was reading. "This... Master, this is amazing. Imagine all we can learn here! I had no idea something like this would be down here!"

Stormro chuckled at his apprentice's reaction to the library, the sound carrying through the Force to her mind as returned the tome to the shelf. Indeed; the library really was quite the find in the condition that it seemed to be in. If they were lucky there might even be useful technical information stored in the data vaults as well as a trove of fascinating historical records. "Ironically, I suspect that the excellent condition of this archive is the result of the very toxins that have kept it hidden. Without bacteria or other microorganisms and shielded from the weather outside there is little to degrade or break down the contents of this room. I would not be surprised if even the electronic storage devices will function once we restore power and properly shield them from the electrical pulses outside..." Making his way over to once of the darkened data terminals he ran his hands over the ancient keys, feeling each give slightly beneath his touch before he turned back to face Nel. "It shall take some time to process everything fully; I shall likely need to put together some sort of AI to aid in the work, especially since I cannot afford to be here constantly working on it personally..."

"That's a shame..." Her blue eyes roamed over the tomes on the shelves, her hand reaching out, though she did not actually touch, using her hand to guide her eyes as she looked over the titles available. There was a note of sadness in her voice, making it obvious how much it hurt to not just take a book and immerse herself in it. It didn't surprise her that the toxic atmosphere would have protected such priceless knowledge from rot and destruction. That hurt to think about, though she wasn't sure why. She turned back to her Master, letting her hand drop away to her side again. "I look forward to the challenge, though, that's for certain."

Stormro smiled warmly; a rare, genuine expression that managed to slip past his normally iron-clad control before he even realized it had happened. It was rare to find another so enamored with history and ancient texts, and once again he thought of the momentary flash of insight which he had glimpsed on Tatooine when they had met as a genuine shatterpoint entered his perception. There was a reason why he had put so much time and effort into training the young Zabrak; such glimpses were few and far between, especially for one such as him, and never before had a shatterpoint seemed so clear to the Lord of Deception. As rough as she seemed now, Nel Bukk would become his legacy. He knew that with the utmost certainty. Shaking off the momentary distraction, he forced his emotions back under control and spoke. "Indeed. It has been many years since I have restored and categorized an entire archive, let alone one of this magnitude or delicacy. We shall need to gain complete control of the climate within this archive as soon as we seal off these ruins from the surface and purify the atmosphere, lest bacteria and other contaminants will begin rapidly destroying the analogue texts contained within these walls..." Taking one last chance to slowly rotate in place, taking in the wonders of the library around them, Stormro shifted his focus back to the entrance through which they had entered. "Come; let us continue exploring these ruins before we become lost within the wondrous texts. We will return to properly categorize and study the contents once we can ensure their safety..." With that he began walking towards the entrance, moving gracefully past his apprentice towards the hallway from which they had entered.

~ As Ferinus steps into the hallway the Dark tendrils re-enters his mind. The hallway fades from view and is replaced by an image that appears before him. A young man, on one knee. A dark figure with a crimson blade held just above the young man's shoulder, centimeters from his neck. There is a darkness growing in him as his rage starts to take hold. But, protected deep in his chest is a pinpoint of light. ~ ~ Phantom steps forward and investigates the text on the wall. Unfortunately, he is not able to decipher the message. To his right, he sees Ferinus enter the corridor ~
***Ferinus stops dead in his tracks as the images manufacture in front of him, seemingly from nothing.
In an instant, an almost harrowing instant, he recognized the scene. It would be etched into his memory for the rest of his days, across however many lifetimes he still had to his name.
It was the moment he first gave in to the Dark Side. The moment Vitiosus broke the man he once was....and helped give birth the Sith he was today.
Every fire had a spark.
As nostalgic as he was tempted to become, Ferinus was all too aware of how illusions like these could cause one to let their guard slip. So he held his twin sabers out as his sides and spun away from the illusion inside the seemingly endless black.***
"Thank you for the history lesson, whatever you are," he spoke aloud, momentarily discontinuing his Force exchange with Vitiosus. "But I have a friend I need to find."
<<Vitiosus, keep guiding me to where you are. Where. Are. You??>>

Unfortunately for Nel, she missed the smile that passed over her master's face, too focused on the books near her. She had her own smile on her face, small, but it reached her eyes, which weren't hidden behind her breathing apparatus.By the time she looked back over to him, he had it back under control, though her smile lingered for a moment more.
As he spoke, her smile faded, and she nodded in understanding. If they wanted to get back to these precious tomes, they had a lot of work to do. The eagerness was hard to miss in the way she held herself, and there was so much else to explore in this place too! She looked around at the shelves that packed the room, longing filling her. The apprentice wanted to stay here and look more intensely at everything, but he had a point.
At least he promised that there would be time later to study what they found. She looked forward to it. Finally, Nel turned and followed after Stormro, moving quickly to catch up with him. "What do you think we'll find in here, Master?"

~Ferinus feels a tugging in the center of his chest. It is another familiar feeling that seems to pull him towards a darkened corridor on the right. Ferinus sees a second corridor on his left. Far down the left corridor, Ferinus sees the distant glow of a light~

Third Fragment of Anoth - Anoth Base Anoth Base, had remained empty and forgotten to time for a significant amount of time, until Millennial Reborn had stumbled across it, several months ago. Adopting the moniker of "Herboren" as his Darth name, the Dark Side Prophet had laid claim to the base, ensuring it was fit to house himself, his seven apprentices and the few forces that he still possessed. Having formerly been a cult leader in the Sith Worlds, the Blackguard Reborn had seen to the end of that. Decimating his forces and leaving him for dead, the Imperium, as it then become, moved into the Sith Worlds and claimed them as their own, purging all of those they believed to be heretical to their beliefs. Months later, Darth Malvus, formerly the second in command of the Blackguard Imperium, turned tail and staged revolts across many of the Sith Worlds, claiming them in the name of the Resurgent Sith Conclave. And while successful, it had ultimately failed, as Malvus did not possess the power and ability to inspire fear as the Sith'ari had. Though even he too was not capable of maintaining an empire. And so, Herboren watched from the shadows, as both the Blackguard Imperium as well as the Resurgent Sith Conclave crumbled and failed. Malvus' fate was already predicted and sealed. Betraying those he had partnered with had seen to that. Savage, on the other hand, seemed to refuse to be taken down without a fight. While his grip was severely weakened, there was whisperings in the Force. The Imperium's fate would be marked and change forever. And Herboren would be more than willing to assist the change in whatever capacity he was able to, without compromising his own plans. But for now, it was time to execute the first phase of his plan. Reaching out through the Force, he began searching for a particular mind to invade...one that would serve his purpose and become an extension of his will. He just needed to locate him...

Third Fragment of Anoth - Anoth Base, Briefing Room. Seated at the conference table within Anoth Base, Herboren addressed his apprentices, tasking them with new assignments."The time has come, to begin our preparations. In order to carry out what has been foreseen, some of you will be sent out on specific tasks...Furor, I am sending you to in search of the being known as the Eternal Emperor...highly skilled and last known to be commanding from the Eternal Throne on Zakuul, I want him found and if possible, brought in alive. I have plans for the Zabrak..."Furor, a mid twenties female, while not as experienced as her predecessor, was still a powerful Sith in her own right. Herboren had recruited her from the ranks of the Resurgent Sith Conclave, during his brief stay on Korriban. While largely untested against foes, such as the Eternal Emperor, she was more than capable of setting a trap for him. And her barely contained rage was a potent weapon. One that could potentially bring the Eternal Emperor to his knees, if he were to underestimate her. Nodding, Furor rose from her seat and bowed her head."As you wish, my master. I will return with the Eternal Emperor..."Herboren smirked."See that you do. Failure is not an option..."Waving a hand dismissively, he waited until she had left the room, before continuing."Krenari, Evaris...you are to seek out any high ranking members of the Blackguard Imperium. Sway them to our cause. If they cannot be convinced to see our way of thinking, dispose of them. If we cannot recruit them to join us, then we will hack away at their ranks until there is nothing but the exposed nerves left. The Sith'ari may have defeated us one before, but he will not succeed a second time. We do not possess the numbers to engage in open warfare, nor should we. Striking from the shadows will serve our cause. Be silent and swift and you shall be successful..."Krenari, the mechanical monstrosity that was his third apprentice, rose from the table and addressed his master.I do not require assistance, my master. My abilities are more than enough to persuade or otherwise dispose of the Imperium filth! Before the wizened Sith could reply, Evaris, Herboren's fourth apprentice and a relatively new addition to their ranks, rose and snapped back at Krenari's hubris."Your overconfidence will be your demise, Krenari! Our master grants us an assignment, to which I see as a challenge between us. Do you fear failure, Krenari? You already know I am superior to you in every way..."Before allowing Krenari to retort, Herboren raised his hand to silence them."You will cease your petty squabbles and do as I have commanded. Work together or don't, it makes little difference. But the task at hand remains as such. Do not fail me...either of you, for neither of you can pay for the price of failure..."If the two apprentices disagreed with their master, or each other, neither one spoke any further on the matter. The both merely continued to glare at each other for a few more moments, before looking to their master and bowing their head respectfully. As you wish...my master. You will is my purpose..."Understood, master. I will carry out your bidding."Herboren merely scowled and waved them away. Looking to the remaining four apprentices, as Krenari and Evaris left, Herboren spoke once more."The rest of you will continue your training until such time that I summon you...be prepared for anything..."And with that, Herboren rose to his feet and left the room. It was time for him to continue to meditate. There was much that needed to be done and he was far from achieving his goals at this time. And despite his apprentices' and their personal squabbles, they would execute his will, for none of them wanted to experience their master's wrath...

A number of transports made their way through the fields surrounding the planetoid that was officially considered to be the planet Anoth. The ships breached the atmosphere and broke off in several directions, with the bulk of the vessels heading across the planet to scout out landing sites. There they would take atmospheric readings and check environmental conditions to determine their viability. Meanwhile, the final transport headed for the mountainous regions of the planet where the Anoth Base was located. The ship turned around to face the loading ramp towards the gap in the hangar bay doors, allowing those within to disembark
Vaughan stepped off the Transport first, with his House Commandos' spilling out after him and spreading out across the Hangar opening. Their rifles were drawn and flashlights started lighting up the empty hangar bay as the line formed and started moving forward with Vaughan at its centre. There was plenty of evidence littered about of the most recent occupants of the Base, but how long ago they had resided here was unclear. Enough time had passed that a layer of dust had settled across everything. With a movement of his hand, he silently directed a couple of Commandos to begin searching through the crates while the rest of the group followed him deeper into the base. A small group went off deeper into the hangar bay, while Vaughan activated the controls on a door and lead the way into what appeared to be residential living quarters.
He kept out in the lead, his vibro-sword now drawn as Commandos broke off in teams of two to breach each door as they moved deeper into the facility. As they came to the last room, calls of 'CLEAR' went ringing back along the hallway. The facility was empty. Vaughan sheathed his sword and headed back to the main entry way as his commandos started forming back up Alpha team, assist the Hangar teams with their searches and salvage any supplies and parts you can. Bravo team, search the storage room and mess hall, they're might still be useable food supplies left. Charlie team, get to work bringing power back to this base and get some schematics of this place. Delta team, I swear I saw an elevator platform in the hangar, see if you can get down to the lower level. Everyone has their assignments, get to work! The Team Leaders gave affirmatives before splitting off with their groups and getting to the tasks assigned to them. Vaughan meanwhile headed out to the main hangar and gave the pilot the all clear to land. Once the transport touched down he could check in with the progress from the scouting parties

Even with Vaughan away visitng Hoth and establishing new alliances, life on Anoth did not cease its movement. Farmlands were established across the mini planetoid that remained habitable, whilst works were ongoing to conduct repairs on the Anoth Base. Several rooms were converted to bunked bedding, while the lower hangar was converted to a more secure bunker space. Given the small population of immigrants, the Base did not need to hold too many people in the event it was required as a hold out. When not serving as an emergency point, the Base also had bult in functionality for local ATC operations and deploying out a small garrison for peace keeping operations
