Jin sighed wistfully. She grabbed a section of her friends hair and started braiding it absentmindedly. Her mind was wondering. They were no longer kids, the real galaxy was just around the corner and wanted to make sure her friend was ready for it. Oh don't worry, I'm sure I'll always be taller than you. Can always hold that one over you... literally. Jin snorted with laughter at Fiora's last statement. Keep you in check? As if! Which one of us spends their free time graffiting walls? I'm gonna have to stick with you so you can keep getting us out of trouble. For as little as they had seen each other, this moment was just what Jin had needed. Time with Fiora was always time well spent and a good way for Jin to recharge and recover from the life of a Knight-to-be.

Fiora draped her left arm across Jin, hugging her friend as she felt several strands of her hair being braided. It was kind of relaxing getting to just lay there, part of her mind now obsessing over the idea of just growing her hair out a bit and getting several braids in it. Assuming she was able to properly learn to control her shapeshifting abilities, it probably wouldn't be an overly time consuming process to grow her hair
Oh? You think so huh? Wait until I can control this... I'll make myself taller than you for sure!
She smiled contently and laughed at Jin's response a few moments later
Yes, because the Ren are well renowned for getting punished for drawing on stuff...
Fiora gave her friends side a light smack with her hand
Look out, I have the galaxy's greatest rebel over here. Brazenly leaving her art all over the walls of the First Order... Shocking! Such a heinous crime needs the Imperial Princess to excuse your badassery...
Fiora let out a louder laugh this time. Harnan had promised Jin would be permanently based out of Prakith from now on, meaning they could spend more time together in person. And hopefully once Jin got elevated out of her training, maybe they could go out on a mission together

Jin playfully slapped Fiora's shoulder in response to the jabs about her 'badassery.' Hey, you better watch what you say about me and my art, or next time I feature you in one of my pieces, it won't be so flattering. Granted, that will be my greatest artistic challenge yet, but I'll do it, don't test me! Jin sat up, shifting Fiora's head down onto her lap. Looking down at her friend's true face, she made sure to study it more closely than she ever had. With Fiora's budding shapeshifting powers, who knew the next time she'd she the princesses true self again... if at all. As her eyes traced over the lines of Fiora's face, a slight smile graced her lips, she was glad to see her friend so happy.

She rocked slightly at the slap on her shoulder, still giggling as Jin threatened to paint some unflattering art of her. She shifted her position a little then, letting her head come to rest in Jin's lap as she looked up to meet her best friend's gaze
Oooooh, I'm so scared... However would I cope with being immortalised in your art!
She draped her hand over her forehead dramatically, laughing as she then let it fall down to her side. There was something nice about that intense gaze as it seemed to study her face. She blushed a little and smirked teasingly
Take a photo, that way you won't mess up my face for your great masterpiece...

Jin continued staring through Fiora's first bout of teasing. Her smile widening a little, but she kept staring at her friend's features. Then with the second jab, Jin laughed. She took one of her hands and started exaggeratedly turning Fiora's face from side to side. Oh, Fi, you know I work best from memory. She paused the shaking for a moment, again meeting the princesses eyes. But I'm likely to mistake you for a Devaronian if you don't stop blushing every time I look at you. She released Fiora's face but let her hand linger on her cheek for a moment longer.

She made no attempt to stop Jin from moving her head from side to side as if examining it to remember her face. Her smirk still just as present as before
Well, it's a good thing I'm unforgettable...
She grinned even as Jin commented on her blushing. Her hand rather unconsciously coming up to rest on Jin's
Yeah, well... it's kind of hard not to right now...

Now it was Jin's turn to blush. She looked down at Fiora, feeling the other hand on hers sent a spark through her. It hadn't been something she had ever consciously thought about, but now, in this moment, in this training room, she saw Fiora differently. She parted her fingers and to let Fiora's slide between them. Jin could feel her heart pounding in her chest. This was something new. It was different from the brief boyfriend she had had on Coruscant, of from other Ren trainees that she had teased and fooled around with. Something about this felt different. She knew it and could see that Fiora also knew it. You- uh- you're right about that, I guess...

She entangled her fingers with Jin's, gripping her best friends hand as she saw something she was pretty sure she'd never seen before. Jin blushing. Much like Jin's, her own heart had started beating faster as she felt that spark from the contact of their hands. She'd been nervous moments ago, but just being with Jin had put her at ease and made her smile. She felt giddy as she stared up into Jin's violet hued eyes
Jin... I...
Perhaps her confidence hadn't completely eradicated her nerves. But then she also wasn't really sure how to put words to the feeling she had in that moment. She'd always cared about Jin as her best friend. She still did. But there was something else there. Something she hadn't felt before, about anyone

Jin kept looking down at her friend. Feeling Fiora's fingers tangle in hers continued to send the sparks through Jin's body. Fiora... uhm... Maybe we should... She trailed off, not knowing if she wanted to say "train some more," "think this through," or not say anything and just lean into this. Fiora was her best friend after all, and screwing that up with something like this was the last thing Jin wanted. However she did care deeply about the Princess. She needed to tread carefully from here.

She kept her hand gripped upon Jin's, nuzzling into her Best Friends touch as she closed her eyes for a moment. It was nice. Her heart was racing and she was still blushing. But despite that, she felt calm. Her free hand reached up and she pressed a finger to Jin's lips, somewhat afraid this moment was about to be over. She pleadingly looked back up to Jin
Can we... just stay like this a little longer... please?

Jin felt the finger press against her lips, freeing her from finishing the sentence she couldn't end. She allowed herself to relax a little bit as she nodded in response. Perhaps this wasn't something to be scared about? But doubt and worry worked there way back into Jin's mind. The former urchin fidgeted her legs. Sorry, readjusting. As she crossed her legs under Jin's head. So... who's the first person you're going to try and master turning into?

She smiled as Jin relaxed and acquiesced. She lifted her head slightly to allow her best friend to better adjust herself into a cross legged position, before Fiora lowered her head back into Jin's lap. She looked thoughtfully upwards into her friend's eyes
I'm... not really sure. It's not something I've had a whole lot of time to think about...
Well, that wasn't entirely true. The most obvious answer was staring right down at her, a thought which would have made her blush if she was not already doing so. But given the current situation, she wasn't sure that was the best answer to give

Jin shrugged, Well, I'm sure we'll find a way to get in heaps of trouble with it. She leaned back and used her arms to support her as she looked up at the ceiling of the training room while thinking. Then she giggled a little at the thought of Fiora attempting to be Harnan and the chaos that could befall the entire Citadel. It would be glorious.

Fiora smiled and let out a chuckle
I think you mean you'll find plenty of ways to get us in trouble with it...
She turned her head, looking toward Jin as her best friend gazed up at the ceiling. Their first real hitch to getting into any trouble, though, was being able to control how this power worked. Something to worry about later as she nuzzled against Jin's lap
For now, I think you need some sleep. There won't be two of you running around now...

As if on cue, Jin let out a huge yawn and stretched. At the mention of sleep she could almost hear her bed calling her. She gently got up, careful not to drop Fiora's head onto the floor. Yeah, you're probably right. Another big yawn. Oof, forgot how tired I was there for a bit. You gonna be okay while I sleep this off?

Fiora shifted her head and got up alongside Jin. The moment had been nice, as they always had been. She just hoped there would still be many more to come, despite the hesitance such recently felt feelings had brought up. Fiora offered a reassuring smile to her Best Friends question, before offering a mock display of pain and despair
Oh, I think you sleeping will just cause me to be heartbroken and wither away... I'll be fine. What is the worst that could happen? I can't control my shapeshifting at will, so I can't get up to trouble without you. And so long as I don't dream or practice any mental invasions, I shouldn't transform... And if I do, I can always just... you know...
Her confidence had almost peaked once more, but blurting out "I can just slip into bed with you and switch back" was not really a statement she could make herself say yet. Though her blushing would certainly give Jin an idea of where that comment was leading toward

Yeah, yeah, how dare I be concerned for you? Jin retorted to the teasing. She held her hand out and recalled her discarded lightsaber to it and then returned it to her belt. She flipped her hair with her free hand before turning to the door and retorting again. Well, since you'll be so fine without me, I'll be in my room... She then made for the door.

Fiora recalled her own saber and slipped it onto the back of her belt as she followed after Jin
I mean... to be fair, you were gone off world for several days with Neith...
She then reached out and grabbed at Jin's hand in an attempt to hold it as she followed a step or two behind Jin
You need some sleep and rest, so I'm more concerned about what could happen to you. I can always promise to just sit by your bed if that'll worry you less? It might get you in less trouble with Harnan if I did that...
Well, that was not entirely true. She doubted Harnan would be too worked up about it, especially now that she wasn't sharing Jin's likeness. But that was beside the point

Jin yawned again and stretched as she felt her hand be grasped by Fiora's. It was true, this last mission had been particularly taxing, and then to have sparred right after getting back, it was a bold move Jin had made. And it was catching up with her quickly. Honestly, you could do whatever you want, because as soon as my head hit's that pillow I'm gonna be out. She looked back at the princess. She too knew that now that she was her original self again, Harnan's directive wouldn't be as imperative. They reached Jin's dorm room. Well, you had best decide quickly what you want to do. The door slid open to reveal the once very modest and plane room, but was now covered floor to ceiling in graffiti art. There were many things depicted, from recreations of some of Jin's early work, to new works inspired by the worlds she had visited. But where much of the Citadel was dull and grey, it was bright and colorful in Jin's room. Jin waited in the doorway a moment for Fiora's response.

I am the Princess of the First Order, so I could do what ever I wanted anyway...
She teased as she followed along with Jin, still clasping her best friends hand. Not just because she wanted to and it felt nice, but also in case Jin faltered and passed out before they made it to her room. Which it did not take them long to arrive at. Without hesitation or reply, Fiora moved forward, pulling on Jin's hand to drag her inside
As if that was ever a choice...
She let go of Jin's hand then and looked around the room, taking in the art that adorned the walls. She'd seen them all plenty of times before, but Fiora always liked checking for any new pieces that Jin might have done since her last visit. Her earlier trip to this room had been a bit rushed, so she'd not had much chance to examine and critique the space for anything she had not seen before
