Jin took the hand that was placed on her shoulder in her own and looked into Fiora's now very green eyes. I- She wanted to object, to warn her against it, that this would be dangerous and likely draw the attention of the very people behind this whole catastrophe, but she knew that Fiora would not allow it, her mind was clearly made up. Thank you, Fi. Right now, until I can find a solid lead, you should continue to act like it's business as usual. I don't want to spook whoever this is... but I will say, I do like the look, very exotic. Jin leaned in and kissed the new lips Fiora wore. It was indeed odd, dating a shapeshifter, though Fiora rarely changed from day to day, but Jin did find it exciting. But before I get started, I need to try and get a message out. Go get us some breakfast, and I'll meet you after my call. She gave Fiora another peck on the cheek. Jin hoped Fiora wouldn't ask questions about who she was trying to contact; Jin wasn't sure she could lie to her.

She could sense Jin was about to try object and so pouted a little until her girlfriend gave in. Even if her disguise didn't completely work and drew whoever this culprit was that Jin was after out, then all the better. Her pout returned to a smile as Jin decided not to try and fight this, but Fiora would be lying if she said she was happy to maintain the current status quo. But the truth was that it was unavoidable for the immediate future. But Fiora was also very aware of the time scale upon which they needed to work, given that once Coruscant was concluded, her brother would be moving his forces through to the deep core.
She returned the kiss, moving her free hand up to cup Jin cheek before finally pulling back and letting go. It was no secret she wanted to know who Jin was going to contact, but there were less than a handful of people Jin trusted in this galaxy and Fiora pretty much knew who all of them were. At this stage, many of them were serving her brother's cause and so Fiora could understand why Jin was being a little cagey about the who. Instead of pressing Jin on the matter she gave Jin another kiss Just make sure you trust them... She then stood up from the bed and crossed over to where her clothes and armour were sprawled out. Letting the towel drop she looked back over her shoulder with a wicked grin and a flame within her glance Maybe if you're good, tonight you'll get to see how exotic it is... With a wink, her features started to return back to their normal proportions and colour. Even as a shape shifted, she couldn't hide her blush as she hurriedly slipped her clothes on and left her armour behind before rushing out of the room. She pulled the door closed and pressed her back up against the wall beside it, her hand gripping her chest where her heart felt like it was beating 300 times a minute and trying to escape her chest. It was a nice little rush of confidence and promise which she intended to follow through on. However, it happened so infrequently she wasn't used to being the one on the initiating side. She took a deep breath, calming herself enough before heading down the hallway to find the kitchens and get the breakfast Jin had requested. Along the way she cursed herself for thinking she should have pointed toward herself and stated that Jin's breakfast was already served

Jin could barely remember what she was doing before Fiora's teasing promise. But after the door hissed shut, Jin shook her head and got to work. She popped open the panel containing the wiring and components for the long distance communicator in the room. Being trained by the Rin and having never fully trusted them, Jin knew how to disable any sort of bugging system and how to mask out going planetary transmissions as just static if picked up by anyone monitoring such things. Jin replaced the panel before retrieving the written contact information for Nem Yin and she punched it in. Nem... it's Jin. Fiora isn't willing to call this war off. But I know someone here has to part of the conspiracy, so I'm going to investigate, see who I can find and if that can end this war. Weird that the person I trust most after my girlfriend is someone I tried to kill not a couple days ago, but here we are... I've got the terminal in my room secure enough, but don't try and reach back out to me until this evening, 2200 local time, when I have a chance to make sure no one has undone my sabotage. Be careful out there.Jin waited for a few moments before cutting the line, incase Nem was able to respond right away. If he didn't she had work to do.

A few seconds later a voice spoke over the channel, distorted but arrogant enough that there was no mistaking it for anyone other than the Intendant. Necessity makes strange bedfellows. That news is...disappointing, but convincing the Empress to stand down her forces was always a long shot. Unfortunately it is Fiora's own people who will suffer the most for that decision. My operatives inform me that Octavian's faction has broken the back of the traitor forces at Coruscant and are in the last leg of the planet's liberation, clearing out the few remaining pockets of resistance, after which they will assuredly move on the Deep Core. When the Emperor arrives, it will be at the head of a massive fleet swollen by the inclusion of thirty new Resurgent-class Battlecruisers. It's going to be a slaughter, Jin. He paused for a moment, letting that sink in before continuing. Sabotage? Good. Our focus now should be to bring about a swift end to this conflict by whatever means are available. Despite coming to agreeable terms, Harnan was still quick to expel me from the Citadel. The planet too, actually. I suspect he may not trust me. Heh. Given the Executor's current conspiring, there was a good reason for that. It's strange. He offered my people the entirety of the First Order's Core and Deep Core territories. As tempting as his offer was, I've been on enough sinking ships to know one when I see it. Still, there was something he wasn't saying, some last play perhaps that the Ren have to make. If you're looking for answers, I'd start with the head of the serpent. He's hiding something. I know it. Said the pot, calling the kettle black... After I slipped his hounds I've begun to recruit support among the parasites of Prak City's lower working class. Real scum, not so dissimilar to the rabble you brought together on Coruscant, all too eager to offer their aid for the promise of coin. They call themselves the Scarred. When the day of the final battle arrives, the Ren will find their attention split between the wolves at their door and riots in the streets of their capital. There was a noise over the channel, reminiscent of a creaking wooden door swinging open. I've got to go but I'll contact you later at the agreed upon time. There was a hiss of static, then the line went silent as the Intendant disconnected on the other end.

With Nem's reply still rattling in her head, Jin got to work. First, she placed a small piece of clear tape on one of the lower corners of the panel she had pulled open. Not enough to provide any resistance if it was opened again, but it would be clearly ripped or peeled off if someone opened it while Jin was away. Next she reached into one of her old art supply bags and got a load of chalk. Using the butt of her lightsaber, she crushed it into a very fine powder and stowed it in a bag that was then slipped into her pocket. Jin then sat and waited for Fiora to return, no doubt it wouldn't be too long of a wait. In the mean time, Jin got to replacing bacta patches on the worst of her wounds, still getting used to having actual resources at her disposal again, she was conservative with the use of precious medical supplies.

Jin did indeed not have to wait long. The Citadel had a multitude of small Kitchens which the Ren could make use of for their own private cooking, but the Central Kitchen was staffed around the clock. It was here that the Citadel's Garrison of Purge Troopers were provided multiple meals throughout the day and thus the Ren could also find a meal. Fiora grabbed a pair of plates and loaded them up with all sorts of breakfast foods she knew could be shared with Jin, but also that she would enjoy in case her girlfriend was not overly hungry. She slipped through the crowd and back out of the Kitchen, making sure to keep the food from falling off.
As she arrived back to Jin's room, she willed open the door with the Force and closed it again via the same way before her focus fell upon her girlfriend as she was busy redressing her injuries. She resisted the urge to drop the plates and "help" with replacing all of the bacta patches, instead opting to move toward the bed and offering out one of the plates Breakfast is served...

Thanks! Jin said through a mouth full of shirt. She was still applying bandages to her abdomen, and needed both hands to do it, so the shirt was held in her mouth. After finishing that last bacta patch, she let the shirt fall back into place and before taking the food, grabbed Fiora by the face and pulled her in for a kiss. She was going to say some cheesy line about having dessert first, but the smell of actual breakfast food hit her nose. Instantly her mouth started to water as she tore into her plate of food. She hadn't realized how sick she had become of field rations and the gruel she had been eating in the Coruscant Underground. After sampling every item on the plate, and chewing on another mouthful, Jin rested her head on Fiora's shoulder as she ate next to her. She hated having gone through hell, have nothing to show for it, and now that she was back still not be able to relax. But she would take the moments she could. No doubt Nem was hard at work creating some sort of doomsday crab or something... but he could do the leg work underground for a bit, she certainly had put in the time. Right now she just wanted it to be her and Fiora. Pushing away the plans for the rest of the day, she looked up at the beautiful face she had come to love. This moment itself made it a good day.

Whilst the breakfast for their stomach's had been served, the breakfast for Firoa's eyes had also been served. She did her best not too be too distracted by the view of her girlfriend's exposed stomach as Jin finished applying the new bacta patches and bandages. It was perhaps this view that had caused Fiora to kiss Jin back all that more fiercely. It took a herculean effort to keep herself from taking that kiss much further, something which was helped as Jin seemed to hold herself back and grabbed one of the plates to start eating. With the object of her desire currently chowing down on food, Fiora forced herself to eat and replenish her energy as she got the sneaking suspicion she was going to need it soon. She finished her plate off in quick order even as Jin's head rested on her shoulder. But even with food filling her stomach, she still felt hungry. Just not for food.
She floated their plates away from their laps and safely to the floor before cupping Jin's cheek with her free hand and staring down into her girlfriends gaze. She smiled, grateful for the safe return of the woman she loved. She kissed Jin's forehead Now for dessert! She pressed Jin backwards on the bed, before slipping off the bed herself as she retook the copper toned form from before. Whilst an Empress was not known to kneel publicly, right now she was not the Empress...
The sun had risen, reach it's zenith, and was journeying well on it's way towards setting by the time the pair finally untangled themselves from one another again. Their time apart had made their hunger for one another strong and now they were making up for it. Fiora laid herself out atop Jin, pressing kisses and playful bites across any part of her girlfriend she could reach, whilst her left hand trailed along the hills and valleys of Jin's body. Her glowing green eyes never once leaving Jin's face I suppose we need to get back to work...

Every part of Jin was aching again. Such vigurous activities while injured were usually not doctor recommended, but by the Force did it feel good. And it certainly was needed. Jin was still catching her breath as Fiora, still in the form of a stranger, traced familiar paths across her body, sending shivers down Jin's spine. There were several iron clad displays of will power through the galaxies history: Luke Skywalker refusing to break in the Emperor's Throne room, Leia Organa refusing to betray the Alliance while being tortured and her home planet threatened, Darth Sidious maintaining poise and confidence as he navigated the finale days of the Republic. But all, to Jin, seemed to pale in comparison of what she had to muster in this moment. She hadn't been able to stop smiling the entire 'dessert' course, and now was no different even as she had to make the hardest choice she had faced thus far in this hell of a war. Yes... I suppose we should. Taking a deep breath, Jin pushed herself up, back to sitting, and once more got ready for the day. I suppose you will have a lot to do, being an Empress in the midst of a war and all that...

Even as Jin pushed herself up to a seated position, Fiora kept herself curled up and wrapped closely to Jin's body. Her arms wrapping around her girlfriends back as she pressed a kiss into Jin's shoulder and then another into the base of Jin's neck, making sure to leave a mark there Unfortunately none of the other things I have to do are nearly as fun, exciting, and rewarding as doing you... She giggled a little, feeling a little drunk still from all of the pleasure the two had just shared and experienced. Feeling a little adventurous still, she pulled back from Jin a little and planted another kiss and mark right upon Jin's breast above where her girlfriends heart lay You're under my protection, so you'll be safe here. Just know I won't forgive you if you get hurt again. She gave Jin another deep kiss, making sure to get one last taste before pulling away and getting up off the bed. Her features morphing back to normal as she slipped the barest necessities back on and collected her armour Once you have a lead, let me know. Promise?

Jin leaned into the last kiss, almost losing herself in it. But it mercifully ended moments before her will power broke. She took a deep breath and got redressed. You'll be the first person who knows when I have anything concrete. Knowing who she was about to go spy on though made her nervous. Not for the danger it would pose to her, but the response it may elicit from Fiora. They hadn't even had a chance to discuss her and Harnan's situation. But Jin needed to start from the top down. If she could clear Harnan and Silas from the suspects list, she could enlist their help... But she had a gut feeling that was a pipe dream. Finally, with her boots laced back up, the last step in her dressing proces, she collected the bag of crushed up chalk and afixed it to her belt. Life was about to become a lot more interesting... I've got another call at 2200, so I'll meet you either here or in your quarters at 2210?

Good! Although she didn't doubt Jin would have told her, it was nice just getting that verbal confirmation. Regardless of what Jin might find and who she suspected, this was going to be a dangerous endeavour. If she was correct that someone had been puppeteering this conflict from the very beginning, if not long before then, then they had a great deal of resources and informants under their control. They'd already proven that they could control and coordinate mass casualties, whether directly or indirectly. Orchestrating something to happen to Jin, in comparison, was likely trivial. Certainly her girlfriend would not go down easily... Well... ok but that was a different situation. No, killing Jin would be a difficult task for anyone. She gave Jin a quick check over, before nodding Meet in my quarters, I think I've damaged enough of your quarters as is... She managed to juggle of armour alongside opening the door, before blowing Jin a kiss Love you... She really did need to get going. First she headed for her own quarters a hallway over, where the only eyes upon her were those of the Tribune Guard whom were standing guard over the door to her quarters. She slipped inside and took a moment to quickly clean herself up and get her armour back on properly, ready for her next meeting. Whilst she still looked a little dishevelled beneath it all, outwardly everything looked fine. She just hoped no one with an overly sensitive sense of smell would be in attendance, since she'd not had a chance to indulge in a shower in Jin's quarters or her own since their last romp. In fact, being in her armour seemed to only make all of the scents of sweat and pleasure get cycled back through her nose.
She clenched her fist, promising herself to be strong as she headed for the door. The Tribune Guard fell in around her as she made her way for the Throne Room. Harnan and a number of senior Purge Trooper Leadership were waiting in person, whilst Silas was appearing remotely. A holo projection of Prakith along with the defences and their preparation status appeared in one part of the room, whilst another projection was focused around the overall galaxy map and the progress of the forces under Octavians command. Fiora headed over to the head of the table where she took a seat so the meeting could begin...

Jin took several deep breaths after Fiora had left, she had to refocus and prioritize on the mission. She hid close by Fiora's room, careful to remain out of sight of the Tribune Guards and Fiora, waiting for when she would leave to a meeting Harnan would no doubt be attending as well. When she saw Fiora leave, Jin began moving toward her goal, trying to appear as nonchalant as possible. She could feel eyes on her as she passed through the halls, taking a non-direct route to the part of the building that Harnan dwelled in, careful to be sure that the eyes were simply those curious about her return and not someone tailing her. Once satisfied she lacked a shadow, she entered the corridor, Force be praised it was empty. Gently she pried off the control panel to the door and overrode the locking mechanism. The Ren had trained her, and they saw each other as family, not one of them would think the others would betray their own. But Jin was not a Ren, especially not when she suspected members of them to be involved in some grander scheme against the Delvardus siblings. The door hissed open. Jin took a pinch of chalk dust from the pouch and sprinkled it on the threshold, revealing a previously invisible laser alarm at ankle height. Jin smirked before replacing the panel and slipping inside, carefully stepping over the laser trip wire, and closed the door behind her. Her first target was Harnan's personal terminal, which she approached slowly and cautiously.

For someone as skilled in slicing as Jin was, she would not have found it an overly difficult task. Sure, this was the personal holo-terminal for the Master of the Knights of Ren, but he was amongst family here. The real security was activated when an invasion was eminent, which would wipe the terminals and lock out the network. Given they were not being attacked, such measures were not necessary. But that did not mean Harnan did not undertake his own methods to keep things secure. Call Logs remained, but no recordings were ever made of his conversations with anyone. So whilst it was possible to determine a call had taken place, no one would know the content of that conversation. Harnan was also not very blatantly and obviously writing every detail of his plans down in emailed conversations. However, Jin would find a mentions of Overshadow within messages between Harnan and Silas that dated before Nicademus' death. Beyond that, nothing necessarily cleared nor incriminated the Master of the Ren

Frustrated with a seemingly dead end, Jin cautiously makes her way back out of Harnan's room. She takes extra care to undo as much of the sabotage as possible before slipping back to the main part of the facility. It was unfortunate that Silas was usually Headquartered at his Empress Teta Cathedral, and her sudden and unscheduled departure would surely raise eyebrows, especially since she had just gotten back. Just gotten back to Fiora, whom she promised to never leave again, and even her mission focused self couldn't bring herself to break that promise. So all she had to show was a large uptick in communications between Harnan and Silas in the months leading to Nicademus' death... not much of a lead. But maybe it was something... but without recordings there was no way to be sure. Jin stopped walking. She hadn't been paying much mind to where she was going, but she felt another wave of exhaution washing over her. The woman had been through hell, and that hell had only stopped yesterday. Even with how good Fiora had made her feel for the past several hours, she still felt the weight of those months of fighting and them being capped off with a deadly duel with, what she could only assume, the greatest Vong warrior currently living. Jin turned and let herself lean against the nearby wall, she slowly slid down the wall and came to sit, her knees curled up to her and she wrapped her arms around them and let her head sink down into the hole made. She would just rest here for a moment, yes, just a moment. After all she had to be back to her quarters in time for her check in with Nem...

The meeting had been long and dull, with much of it filled with details about their defence forces and their readiness. The one final take away had been that the evacuation of Prak City had been progressing well, with the city nearing 60% evacuated. The last 40% was likely to be the hardest to get done, with almost 30% of the remaining citizens being labourers, factory workers and lower class citizens. But she intended to make sure they were moved to safety before her Brother and his armies arrived to siege Prakith. But they would be matters for another day as she left the meeting and headed back toward her quarters.
As she navigated the myriad of hallways from the meeting room back to her bedroom, she turned a corner and came to a stop. Her breath catching in her throat as Mira & Celeste broke off from the rest of the guard and rushed toward the hunched form. Nova & Vesper drew their bows, searching the corridor while Aurelia & Serena did their best to block any other lines of sight. But despite their efforts, Fiora broke free of her guards and rushed to Jin's side, sliding to the floor and a stop just short of her girlfriend. The Tribune Guard rushed to form a defensive circle as Fiora tore one of her gloves off and discarded it before lifting Jin's head. The panic that had gripped the Empress subsided as she felt a calm and steady breath from Jin's nose.
She was sleeping.
Fiora gently rested Jin's head back down and grabbed her glove back on, the Tribune Guards also relaxing their stance and posture as the potential danger was no longer there. She slipped one arm under Jin's knees and the other around her back, holding on tight before hoisting Jin up in her arms You're no good if you push yourself too hard Jin... Her guards fell back in behind her as Fiora carried Jin with her. What ever other plans Jin might have had for that day were just going to have to wait as Fiora took her girlfriend back with her to her own bed chambers. There, Fiora deposited Jin into the bed still clothed and covered her with the blankets before taking a seat on the other side of the bed and going over some reports...

Jin woke with a start suddenly. She looked around the room in a mild panic, not knowing how she got here or what time it was. As she saw Fiora, calmly sitting on the side to the bed it allieved her immediate panic and allowed her to return to her previous emotions of frustration, and guilt. Jin, it seemed, felt wholly responsible for the current state of things. She been in a no win scenario, either she went and tried to find a peaceful solution to the war or she would have stayed to try and tempor Fiora and the Ren's actions. And she had made the wrong choice it had seemed. Months had been waisted to her being held captive and then fighting on Coruscant. And now she was paying for it. She swung her legs over the side of the bed, and with her elbows on her knees, gripped the back of her head in that same frustration. A half a day of investigating and I'm in the same spot! Stars! Jin cursed and then shook her head and tried to muster as much of a smile as she could and glanced over at FIora, I hope your meeting wasn't too boring.
