Ryan Solaris, brother of Crystal Kayne, half brother, but who cared anyways? To him, Crystal was still his eldest sister due them sharing the same father, the difference though was they did not share the same last name. Nope, his fraternal twin only did, and he was just enjoying his life back in Honoghr with his fiancé. Which reminded him, he should probably check on Ares and see how the bloke was doing, and also check up on Alicat.
But that could definitely wait, he still had to comm Lily first. Ljiljana Jankovic, Umgul's attorney general, is after all his girlfriend. Unfortunately though currently she was touring the planet due law stuff. It's not that it did not interest him, because it did, but it was all foreign to him to be honest. He was a doctor, and that was just fine by him. Granted, he was not that typical doctor, he was overly tattooed, and he took care of his appearance but he still believed in a simple life, even if that one thing seemed to be hanging above him and his siblings, but that was another matter for another time. Which he hoped never came to reality.
Walking into the dining hall after he had finished talking with his sister, as they both came to the Academy together, after meeting up with her earlier, Ryan made a beeline to the food since he was hungry though he found himself standing next to the Zabrak woman, "Hi." Ryan greeted her with a smile, and he did notice that she was looking around briefly maybe looking for Model face. "If you are looking for Atlantis, or one of the Councilors of the MO, they are currently talking with one another." Ryan informed her thoughtfully, after all Franz had come back with the students from their retreat in the mountain or something. It was the Mist Order's business, and Ryan preferred not to take part of that, although he often helped out here when he could.
"I am Ryan, it's nice to meet you." Grabbing one of the plates and handing it to her before taking another plate for himself, he started to take different variety of food, serving himself, and even Saoirse as for each of his indications he was going by cue if she wanted that too or not. "They won't be long, and I am sure also my sister won't be as well. Mind if I joined you in the meantime?" He asked dubiously, and he wasn't wearing Jedi robes, nor was he wearing anything fancy but just a simple t-shirt and cargo pants. However he was not carrying his lightsaber hilt presently since he figured he did not need it at this present time.

Having changed into more comfortable clothes after separating with her brother and making a detour towards Atlantis' quarters, Crystal was wearing a tank top and just comfortable pants, and she also was having a comm with her friend. Seeing Saoirse and Ryan actually standing next to one another and just talking, Crystal smiled before laughing softly at what Lily just said to her.
Yes, I am with him, and no, not yet. Pausing a moment and listening to what Lily was saying, Crystal furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head with amusement. Mhmm, I'll let him know, love you too, baby girl.
Cutting the comm and pocketing her device, Crystal looked at her brother. "She is mangry, although comm her much later, she said she needed to finish her report to send over to Andros." Crystal informed Ryan before looking at Saoirse with a knowing smile. "Hi again, please tell me you had a better day than he and I, or even his girlfriend?" She kept her tone light, maybe it was small talk, and maybe it was just that, but she figured that at least exchanging and communicating with people could brighten up someone's day.
Picking up a plate and just settling for a salad this time around since she wasn't too hungry to begin with. Crystal did sit through that meeting for a few hours taking notes, or even giving her thoughts on a few matters. That meeting was tedious but at the same time she was glad that it always went somewhere, resolving a few matters, and even so, it was mainly politics, but also budget.
Crystal supposed that she was here exactly for the same reason why Ryan was here at the Academy, restlessness and a place to unwind with friends, and family. "Seriously though, I hope Atlantis didn't go drill Sargent on you." She might have sounded serious there, although she was joking even if her tone did not indicate any of that. But she knew Atlantis, and quite frankly she also knew that he was not the kind, after all when she did find out that she was attuned to the Force a few years back, he had the patience of a saint, and always managed to put her at ease, always at her own pace, and never his own.

Saoirse returns the unfamiliar tattooed human male's smile as, after joining her near the buffet, he greets her and then explains Atlantis and the other MO Councilors are meeting at the moment. After introducing himself as Ryan, which causes Saoirse's expression to alter enough to probably reveal that she is familiar with the name, the human then says the Councilors and his sister should be showing up before too long, and then asks if it is okay to join her after handing her a tray.
Saorise grins and says, "Yeah, absolutely, in a friendly way, and then points to the spot on her neck where Ryan has a tattoo on his neck as she says, Love the ink, by the way. Saoirse can guess from what she can see of his arms not covered by the t-shirt that he probably has a lot more ink than is showing at the moment, but as much as she'd like to see it, figures it might seem like an odd request and even manages to refrain from making it despite her tendency to occasionally let her thoughts escape verbally. Rather than asking if she can see the rest of his tattoos, Saoirse introduces herself even though she imagines that Atlantis or another teacher has probably already filled Ryan in, I'm Saoirse. Nice to meet you too! I'm a new Jedi . . . she pauses, not sure what the right description would be, so settles on, learner, and then grins as she glances down at the distinctive khaki pants and tunic, worn under a brown hooded robe, that Atlantis had provided her with as she says, which you probably figured out already."
Nodding once or twice to indicate she'll also have whatever Ryan happens to be serving out for himself at the moment before offering to serve it out to her, and thanking him when he serves out the Endorian chicken and Mounder potato rice that she selects, Saoirse says, "Atlantis tells me that you're a doctor, and that you sometimes play Limmie with some of the students when you're around. Maybe we'll get chance to play together one of those times. Changing topics without any apparent connection between the subjects, Saoirse asks, So, what kind of medicine do you practice?"
Fortunately for Ryan, Crystal arrives before Saoirse can follow up her initial question with the eight or nine others that it gives rise to. Saoirse smiles cheerfully as she waves to greet Crystal while she is talking to Ryan. Feeling a bit guilty about her cheeriness after Crystal expresses her hopes that Saoirse had a better day than she, Ryan, or Ryan's girlfriend have had, Saoirse dials her customarily chipper nature down a notch or two as she shrugs and says, "It sounds like that wouldn't be a very high bar to get over. Offering Crystal and then Ryan a sympathetic smile, Soairse asks them, Was there anything in particular that made the day so lousy for you all?"
After they reach a table and get themselves seated, Saoirse smiles with an amused expression when Crystal expresses her hope that Atlantis had not gone too hard on her, and figures from Crystal's expression that she probably wouldn't mind some humor, and so rolls her eyes playfully as she says, "Are you kidding? If he's capable of being at all like a drill sergeant, he hides it really well." Given how Atlantis always makes sure that the pace of his instruction and areas they focus on are comfortable to her, Saorise has a hard time picturing Atlantis being at all demanding. Having experienced more than one type of coaching style, Saoirse knows that it is not always necessary to be overbearing or demanding in order to motivate or push players, or learners as the case may be. The best coaches, or teachers, in Saoirse's experience and opinion, tailor the way they coach or teach to the individual students or players in question; something she has a feeling Atlantis either understands or simply does just by virtue of his personality or nature.

Smiling at her compliment, Ryan inclined his head gratefully before pursing his lips briefly and pointing at his neck tattoo, still with an uncertain tone though, he said. "Thanks, though I am considering of getting this one removed, well my whole neck area." It's not that he regretted it, okay maybe a little bit in a sense, but he was already overly tattooed, that at some point he just couldn't stand looking at his tattoo on his neck. "I don't mind my others, but this will probably go, soon." Ryan explained, he had plenty of tattoos, arms, legs, even torso, but while he did not mind those, since factually he never really saw them constantly, if that made sense, it was whenever he was facing a mirror he'd keep seeing his neck tattoo, and he had to admit, it was his rebellious phase anyways, now he knew better.
"Definitely nice to meet you, Saoirse." He reiterated genuinely with a warm smile and nodded in confirmation before pointing at the woman who had just walked into the dining hall. "I haven't seen Atlantis yet, but yeah my sister told me." He gestured towards Crystal there who seemed to be on a comm, but he still focused on Saoirse with undivided attention. "I do play limmie, and we should definitely play some time, it should be fun." He was all smiles, after all, he knew that she was part of the University's team here in Umgul. Ryan knew she could play, and well too, and so that should be very fun.
"As for what I do, neurosurgeon." He informed her, some days were good, and some days were difficult, it was unfortunately just the way it is, but for now he stayed his tongue and looked at Crystal, knowing that probably she was talking to his girlfriend. "I feel sorry for whomever has gotten her ire." Ryan chuckled at the thought, everyone here, at least most of them, knew that Lily outside of work wasn't really the same Lily in a casual setting, and quite honestly Ryan loved that she definitely knew how to separate things.
Walking over to one of the empty table, and seats, Ryan put his tray down after making sure he had everything, which he did not because he quickly jogged towards the refreshment side, and took a mug of juice, water, and soda along with three glasses before making his way back to the table, and putting those down. "Simple, random, complaints from every day people, work was a pita." Ryan replied after catching Saoirse's statement and sitting down to eat his meal.
Laughing wholeheartedly though when Atlantis was mentioned and him being a drill sargeant, Ryan looked at his sister with an arched eyebrow and shook his head. "You should have said yes to him being a drill sargeant, Saoirse, so that Crystal here could kick your teacher's ass." Ryan playfully said, though it was a joke, since after all he knew Atlantis was never the kind to go drill sargeant, and always tailored training to the person he was training.

"You feel sorry, huh? As long as it's not you, I suppose, you are fine with that?" Crystal told her brother teasingly, not that she ever heard Ryan and Lily ever go out on full scale argument, them yelling at one another, then again she knew that they argued from time to time, like she and Atlantis did, but they always talked about it civilly, agreeing to disagree and finding compromises was her mantra, and she was sure that between Ryan and Lily it was the same thing anyways. Although from what she knew about Lily, whenever her best friend was angry, she was really angry and she would give her piece of mind unfiltered.
Talking about Lily made Crystal miss one of her closest friends nearby, fortunately though they still talked regularly. Noticing though that Saoirse seemed to have toned down her cheerfulness disposition, Crystal smiled warmly and shook her head. "Please don't tone down your excitement on my account, or anything, I can tell that you were pretty happy with how your day has gone thusfar." After all, Crystal found that whenever she found, or felt people around her, it was a pretty good thing, it brought a certain positive energy on the table, and that was all that mattered for her. "Lousy side, well..." Gesturing to her brother with amusement, she nodded in confirmation. "What he said, and for my case, too many people asking for things, and just wondering why it was taking so long." Shaking her head at the thought, although she really wasn't the public figure, thankfully, as she only moved credits around when necessary, she was always in awe in how Andros, the Vice Governor stomached all of those requests coming to his attention.
"Sitting down and listening to the complaints, and requests of funding is always difficult to deal with, unfortunately." That aside though since honestly, her work aside, or even Ryan's, Crystal wasn't really looking forward to dwell on that, and she figured that Saoirse had more exciting news, or even did better things today. After all, officially Ryan was known by everyone here that he was attuned to the Force, while she wasn't.
"Perhaps indeed he hides it well, but in all seriousness, he never does." Crystal sincerely said before glancing at her brother with an amused expression. "You just love getting him in trouble, don't you?" Shaking her head with amusement, "That being said, I assume you had a good first day?" Smiling warmly and a sip of her drink, Crystal was truly interested in how Saoirse's day went.

Stopping at the entrance of the dining hall while still conversing with both Ayla, and Atlantis, Franz who had recently just arrived from being away with some of the older students for their trials had updated both of them about it. Even if Mace wasn't currently present, as apparently she had stayed back in the government building, Franz knew that in any case she'd be apprised with the situation by either her cousin, or even Atlantis.
"They do want it, so I am guessing that is up to you now, since you are better at handling the next steps." Franz mentioned in a hushed whisper as some of the older students that had been with him in the mountains were actually walking in their direction to also get some food, after their long isolation trials. Franz inclined his head to all of them as they bowed respectfully to him and the two Masters he was with until looking over in the direction of the dining hall within, seeing that Ryan was there with Crystal and the newest addition to the Academy.
"How is she holding up?" Looking at Atlantis with a dubious expression, as of course he meant Crystal then and there before pausing momentarily as Ayla mentioned that she had to deal with something after seeing Mace which she was going to meet up, Franz inclined his head and looked at Atlantis before turning around and heading into the dining hall to just pick up a burger on the way after grabbing a plate.
"Crystal, Ryan." He greeted with a smile before looking at the Zabrak woman with them and smiling in a welcome manner. "Franz Delgrave, it's a pleasure to meet you, Saoirse." Franz looked at Atlantis with a knowing expression and grinned slightly before focusing his attention back at Saoirse. "Atlantis, and Ayla, who unfortunately couldn't join us, updated me." He informed her, but that was just it, just the name and where and how Atlantis actually reached out to her, the details that followed then, that wasn't shared.

Earlier before they had separated, Saoirse had asked him how a person practiced mind reading, it was a good question quite honestly. While from time to time he could grasp from passing thoughts from people, usually those people weren't strong willed, so to speak. Other times though he never tried to actually read a person's mind, but he knew a few of them that could without seemingly trying to do so. The Vos cousins had that innate ability in their arsenal, not that Atlantis told Saoirse about them being mind readers since quite frankly whenever someone figured that out, or came to know that they were, it could become awkward very quickly.
Plus, Mace, and Ayla weren't the type to invade people's mind to begin with.
Atlantis did tell Saoirse that he just usually ate the with the others, and there was never a precise time exactly, and he could end up eating with a few or several students, or he could just eat with some of the Masters, it was nothing official, only whenever there was an event. After separating with her, and on his way to his quarters, he had felt that Franz had returned with the students, and soon thereafter followed a few people too.
His discussion with Ayla, and Franz didn't take too long, they always seemed to be in agreement the majority of the time, and there weren't plenty of debates on the next steps and what not. Franz had one thing right though, concerning the teamwork and isolation side, he handled that as for the rest, well Atlantis knew that it could be much more difficult in a sense. That was another situation for another time, well probably that could happen tomorrow or the next day, for now everyone needed some downtime.
Nodding when Ayla said that she had to handle something, Atlantis looked at Franz when he asked how she was holding up. He returned his gaze towards Franz and wore a thin line lips before shrugging slightly. "Her way." Had been his sole reply, they all knew that Crystal was independent and just dealt with her feelings the best ways, if she wanted to talk, she'd talk, but he'd never push her in doing so. "I don't suppose you have heard anything while you were away?"
Probably not, or Franz would have said so already, but even before he stepped into the dining hall altogether after greeting the students that had returned, Atlantis pulled out his portable datapad, and sent a message to the Non siblings about a favor, if they could show up at the Academy when they were able the following days, he'd appreciate it. That being done, Atlantis walked forward and greeted some of the students there telling them to enjoy their meal, before finally making his way to the buffet to grab some chicken and mashed and making his way to the table where Crystal was with everyone else. Sitting down on the available seat, after briefly stopping by Crystal and kissing the top of her head affectionately.
"Just a burger, tonight, Franz? Here I thought the MREs would make you want more food upon your return."

Nodding with a sympathetic frown when, after she compliments him on his neck ink, Ryan reveals that he is considering having the tattoo in question along with the others in the general vicinity removed, Saoirse asks rhetorically, "Ah, a little bit of the old buyer's remorse, huh? Well, from what I understand, the removal process is pretty simple these days, so if ya wanna erase that area you should be able to do so. Nodding again when, replying to her question about what kind of medicine he practices, Ryan says that he is a neurosurgeon, and then goes on to explain that what had made his day lousy was listening to complaints all day, Saoirse finds herself wondering absently what kind of complaints he would have to listen to since he's in the business of saving or improving lives. Figuring that asking about the kinds of griping Ryan was subjected to won't do much to improve his day, Saoirse settles for dismissing the topic by saying jokingly, Haters gonna hate, right?"
Laughing when Ryan suggests that she had passed up a prime opportunity to get Atlantis in trouble by not telling Crystal that he had gone all drill sergeant, Saoirse playfully wonders aloud, "Why is it everyone seems to want to get you to beat up on Atlantis, Crystal? Even though the idea of getting Atlantis in trouble with Crystal so she treats him like a punching bag is obviously a running joke, Saoirse can tell it is not a malicious one, and so doesn't feel bad when, tilting her head to the side in a suggestion of pondering the idea, she jokes for Ryan's benefit, Sounds like I'll have to remember to let Crystal know if he ever does try and get too drill sergeant on me, huh?"
Grinning brightly when Crystal, obviously observant enough to have noticed that she had toned her usual exuberance down a bit when hearing that Ryan and Crystal herself had not had the best of days, Saoirse sighs playfully in relief as she jokes, "That's a relief. I'm not sure how long I could have played all reserved and stuff. Her ADHD, coupled with her by and large carefree nature typically means that Saoirse is in high spirits, and quite often energetic, and so she does feel some actual relief in not having to reign her mood or energy in. Nodding when Crystal explains that her day had been full of complainers too, Saoirse frowns in sympathy as she jokes, Sounds like there was a lot of whiners out and about today, and then adds, I guess I should be really glad I was all sequestered away out here away from that sort of thing, huh? Gesturing from Crystal to Ryan, Saoirse grins and points out, And, hey, at least you guys are here now, right? There's no whiners around that I've noticed, so you've both got a reprieve from 'em, at least for tonight."
Smiling and giving Franz a cheerful wave when, after Saoirse has told Crystal about what she and Atlantis had done during the day, he joins them and, after introducing himself and eliminating the need for her to do the same by explaining that Atlantis and Ayla had already filled him in on who she is and why she's here, Saoirse says, "Nice to meet you too! I hope your field trip wen't well?" Waving to Atlantis when he joins everyone as well, Saoirse chuckles as he teases Franz about having only a burger after having apparently lived on MRE's while away from the academy with the older students.

Nodding at Saoirse's statement, Ryan looked skywards and shook his head soon after. "I should have probably known, this wasn't the first design there, it's a cover to what used to be there." Prior to the roses there, there was a saying that he ended up getting covered due to a lot of people that kept asking him what it said, or what it meant, and then now he was just fed up with it overall.
Taking a bite of his food before washing that down with some soda, Ryan laughed at what Saoirse said nodding in agreement. "Word! Nothing much can be done I suppose, not like I can be at two places at once anyways..." Ryan muttered under his breath and narrowed his eyes looking at Crystal. "Unlike her lover boy slash model face." Ryan knew that a few of the Jedi Masters here had mastered the doppelganger side when it was necessary or needed, and he had heard a story that a long time ago, when Atlantis had kissed Crystal back at the raceways, it was his doppelganger that had done the action, that got Ryan chuckling lowly at remembering when Franz had recounted that story.
"If he does go drill sarge on you, I will want to see that. Or at least you'll have to tell me too." It was very unlikely that Atlantis would ever go drill sargeant, that much Ryan knew, it wasn't in his nature quite frankly, and to be perfectly honest, he could not see Atlantis doing that at all. The bloke had the patience of a saint!
But whiners of the day aside, and just people feeling entitled sometimes, Ryan looked up seeing his cousins walking towards them. He nodded towards Franz and grinned. "Buona serata, cugino. And welcome back." Ryan looked at Atlantis who soon followed and inclined his head in the Headmaster's direction. He had heard Saoirse's recounting her day, and the training she had with Atlantis as well, as usual he wasn't surprised that the man didn't even try to hit her to begin with. It was a big no no for Atlantis, but that aside, he was actually interested in hearing how Franz's retreat went with some of the students.

Nodding with Saoirse's statement about haters going to hate, Crystal guessed it could be described that way indeed. It wasn't as if she could just unlock credits without permission, in the end all of those projects had to go through different channels, and be approved. It was all political BS quite honestly, and everyone always wanted a piece of something. In her brother's case, to which Crystal shook her head with a faint smirk, she shrugged lightly with an arched eyebrow. "Therein lies the difference between you and Atlantis, indeed. It's not like you would give up your job to learn that thing he can do, besides," Bumping her brother's shoulder lightly with her own shoulder. "Just take comfort in the fact that you are doing your job the best you can." Knowing that probably Saoirse was confused at that point, Crystal did not hesitate to inform her. "Atlantis mastered that Force power Doppelganger, or Similfuturus, ask him some time to potentially show you, or check it out in the library." Winking playfully before leaning against her seat, Crystal knew in any case, at some point Saoirse would find out what Atlantis could do or couldn't do.
When it came to the case of the guys who seemed to gang up on Atlantis, about her using him as a personal punching bag, Crystal rolled her eyes playfully and said. "Boys will be boys. And Atlantis always takes it like a champ, plus I am sure that he has many stories about my little brother here, since they grew up together." Those were the stories she knew, and also it was after all how she had come to find out that she had siblings, when Atlantis spoke the Solaris' dialect back in Naboo.
Of course Naboo reminded her of several things, and thankfully she still had a faint smile on the corner of her lips moreover when Saoirse declared that she probably could not play the well reserved part, Crystal shook her head and let her know. "Just keep being yourself, I love your energy, it's uplifting, so thank you for that." It was true, at least to Crystal, Saoirse brought a certain refreshing new energy, perhaps due to her being younger, or just perhaps her positive attitude, Crystal did not know but all in all, she loved it.
Speaking of love, as she raised her head, she noticed that Franz and Atlantis who were previously with Ayla seemed to be making their way here. "Hi Franz, and welcome back." Crystal reiterated her brother's words before slightly leaning back and looking up at Atlantis who walked behind her, and just smiled at him. Just a burger indeed for him, surprising, since she remembered him being a healthy eater, perhaps tonight he wasn't in the mood just yet. Crystal was always interested in what her friends had been up to, and thus as Saoirse asked him how his field trip was, Crystal looked at him with interest before glancing at Atlantis with a dubious expression. "Is Ayla alright?"

Franz had shook his head when Atlantis had asked him if he had heard anything at all. While he had been in the mountains, while the students were subjected to the first part of their trials which was all about teamwork after they had gone through isolation, Franz pushed his abilities to just listen, to just find that familiar tone, that familiar sound of their voice. Unfortunately he didn't, and it wasn't that he had given up, it was just that he didn't have enough time to do so considering why he had been there with the students.
He still hoped that sooner or later he'd hear something, if not hear, feel.
"Thank you both, I am not going to lie, but it's good to be back." Smiling and looking at his burger after Atlantis pretty much called him out for just this burger. "Oh c'mon, Model Face, don't be like that, let me ease my stomach into this goodness that is a burger." Chuckling and taking a bite of his burger, that he savored Franz closed his eyes and just slid down slightly on his seat as he enjoyed the taste. It took him a minute, but that minute was enough to refocus his attention back to Saoirse after she asked him how his field trip was.
"All in all, satisfactory, good even, and I am pretty pleased with everything they have done." Franz glanced at that table where some of the students he was with were seated. "That aside though, it was tough for them I am sure, but with teamwork they have made it work, which was all I was hoping for."
Dabbing his lips with a napkin and tilting his head on the side. "I am guessing you like it here thus far? Since you haven't ran away screaming?" It was a joke, and he guessed he would slowly get back to being a joker, or at least he hoped, despite the fact that so many things had occurred on a personal level to him, and also because he had to move on in a way and find himself again. "More seriously though, welcome to the Mist Order Academy, and anything you wish to know, discover or anything, never hesitate." Furrowing his eyebrows and pursing his lips, Franz glanced at Atlantis briefly before focusing his attention back to Saoirse since those two, and if he remembered correctly Lily nicknamed the Power Couple, were talking to one another.
"I suppose he has already said that, but the statement is the same with me, so never hesitate at all. I would be happy to help whenever you need it."

"Fair enough, Pookie." Atlantis replied with both of his hands up when Franz had called him by his nickname. Though he used the one that Lily had slated him and not the habitual one that he used to use. "Just going to say though, you have missed the lunch dish, made by her." He glanced at Crystal knowingly and with a warm smile before eating his dish silently letting the others catch up, or at least letting Franz and Saoirse catch up and get acquainted.
Looking back at Crystal when she asked him about Ayla, Atlantis smiled and nodded faintly. "Yes, she is good, as far I am concerned though," As a rule, honestly, if there was one thing everyone here knew about the Kiffars as a whole, they were very guarded, Mace even more, Ayla could often come close even if she was more overt and approachable. It always seemed to him, at least, that the Kiffars always dealt with their issues internally and did not like to involve others in their problems. Although Atlantis never really vocally said anything about whatever they were handling, it was just that the Kiffars always and perfectly separated matters without much effort.
"She did mention though if you wanted some sparring done tomorrow or the day after, she'd be available, in proviso that she, well you know." Atlantis left it at that, and he knew that Crystal would understand in any case, even if Crystal was still passing for the general population as non sensitive, his girlfriend knew the Kiffars enough to know what they always seemed to be busy with several matters. Speaking of sparring, Atlantis heard his datapad pinging and he took it out before reading the content from Xyrias actually, her brother was still in copy in that message and it seemed that they both agreed, and Atlantis only had to let them know when and where, they were at their disposal.
Right, he supposed he'd have to inform Saoirse, although with the return of some of the older students, he had no idea if this offer was still valid, but it was always good to let her know that it was on the table. "Saoirse, the siblings I mentioned to you earlier? They said whenever, just name a time and place." Smiling and glancing at Crystal with a chuckle. "I am also sure that if you wanted to, Valaras and Xyrias would be happy to spar with you, if you wanted to, of course." In the time those Tarakins, as his uncle had called them, were handed to him Atlantis had shed down their protocols, and just let them know that they did not need to answer to him at all, that they were relieved of duty and whatever, though a lot stayed, and inserted themselves into the population, generally or just kept working under Andros' orders, or his whenever, and when they were needed but what he could say about those siblings, they were kind, and helpful.

Unable to keep herself from looking closer at the tattoo on Ryan's neck for just a moment when he mentions that it covers an older design that he must have come to regret, Saoirse grins and tells him, "They did a nice good job covering up whatever was there," after she is unable to see any part of the tattoo that looks like it is there just to cover anything up. Ryan then makes a joke about his not being able to be in two places at once while Atlantis apparently can, and Saoirse looks confused for a moment since she can't tell whether the part about Atlantis was a part of the joke as well or an actual Force ability he has learned.
Fortunately for Saoirse, Crystal clears up the matter a moment later, confirming that Atlantis has in fact mastered a Force ability called doppelganger. Nodding with an enthusiastic smile after Crystal suggests that she either ask Atlantis to show her the ability or research it in the library, Saoirse says excitedly, "I'll definitely have to do one or other! That sounds like a pretty cool ability to have. " Though Saoirse has, predictably, about a million questions about the ability and its possible applications, she manages to keep them to herself since she doesn't want to interrupt Franz's reunion with everyone. Filing her questions away for another more appropriate time, or to guide her own research should an ideal moment not present itself to ask Atlantis or another teacher about the doppelganger ability, Saoirse smiles with a nod that conveys she understands exactly what Crystal means about Atlantis handling all of the well meaning ribbing he gets about Crystal beating him up, telling her, Yeah, I've seen him be on the receiving end of the teasing a few times, and can tell he takes it in the spirit it's intended. Nodding over towards Atlantis, who is currently teasing Franz, who apparently has somehow earned the nickname "Pookie", Saoirse grins as she says, He seems to give as good as he gets too. Her smile widens when Crystal comments her on her energy, and Saoirse, who has rarely been able to keep her natural exuberance and high energy levels at bay for long even when it would be appropriate to do so, jokes, You say that now, but even Mahela, who is the most patient being I know, can find my constant perkiness and overactivity a little annoying sometimes." Saoirse can understand and appreciate how there are times others aren't in the mood for someone else's good mood, but has always personally felt that, like Crystal said, it can sometimes turn someone else's mood around to be near another's positive energy. In any event, whether it is in part because of her own chipper attitude or simply the fact that Atlantis and the others are around, Saoirse is glad to see that Crystal and Ryan both seem a little less stressed and put out than they had when they first sat down.
Saoirse, arching an eyebrow and giving Atlantis an amused look when Franz calls him "Model Face", a nickname Ryan had also used for him, grins as she mouths the nickname and then shrugs her shoulders apologetically as, concentrating on reaching out through the Force to communicate telepathically with Atlantis to teasingly tell him, Well, it does kinda fit ya, Master. Turning her attention to Franz when, after he thanks her and Crystal for welcoming him back, he says that his field trip with the older students was a success. Nodding with a laugh when Franz suggests that the fact she hasn't run away screaming suggests she is liking the academy so far, Saoirse says with obviously genuine enthusiasm, "Oh, absolutely! I don't think I'll be running or screaming anytime soon. Though she could gush on for hours about how excited she is to be learning about the Force, what it means to be a Jedi, and all of the skills she will need to cultivate, Saoirse confines herself to just saying, It has been great to start learning all about what this whole suddenly finding out I am Force sensitive can open up for me, and what I can make of myself because of it. Grinning, she adds, I'll keep your offer in mind when I have questions or things, and jokingly adds, As Atlantis can probably tell you, you might come to regret that offer though, explaining, I can ask a lot of questions."
After Atlantis has explained that the twins he had talked about as potential sparring partners have agreed to work with her whenever it is convenient, Saoirse smiles excitedly and says, "That's awesome! Even though she would like to get a bit more practice under her belt before she moves on from learning the basics to using those skills while sparring with an opponent, Saoirse knows that some aspects of hand to hand and lightsaber combat will not become clearer until she does so, and so tells Atlantis, Let 'em know that anytime is good for me, so the next time they are available to come here I'd love to take them up on their offer. Looking over at Crystal after Atlantis says the twins would also be happy to spar with her, Saoirse suggests, Maybe we could spar sometime too, since it sounds like we're both looking for sparring partners? Not aware that Crystal is Force Sensitive herself, though she does get the impression Crystal must be pretty experienced since she spars with Ayla, Saoirse smiles and says, I haven't really gotten the hang of the whole using the Force to move faster or sense what an opponent is about to do yet, so you'll probably be able to kick my a. . . I mean I'm not sure how much of a challenge I'll be for you at first, but I'm pretty confident I'll be more challenging than the punching bag at least, and, she grins as she glances towards Atlantis and jokes, I'll even try and hit back too."

Ryan had tilted his head on the opposite side so that Saoirse could look at the tattoo on his neck. The cover up was indeed nicely done, and he smiled about that. "Did that in the city, here, and they are pretty good." He informed her knowingly after all she also had some tatts, and if mayhaps at some point in her life she'd want another one, he'd point her in that direction but that wasn't really the topic right now since she seemed to be confused about his statement that had followed about being two different places at once.
"Atlantis is a warrior and leader through and through, and like you have said, I work best where I am comfortable in." The same could be said about his sister but that was something he wasn't in the clear to discuss. "I wouldn't be able to give up being a doctor, doesn't mean though that I will stop in still trying to practice what I already know." Ryan had extensive knowledge in the Core powers, but truly his specialty relied into healing first and foremost, if he had one Force power to master, that was it, and he was content about it.
What his cousins did, those were things he never aspired to, and he was never forced to make a choice. Which was why he pretty much liked chilling here at the Academy, plus he did teach from time to time when it was necessary but all in all, most prepared learning the offensive nature of things when necessary. With the arrival of Franz and Atlantis, Ryan could not help but to laugh at their interaction before he shook his head, it was true though what Crystal had said that Atlantis had a lot of ammo to get even with him or even Franz whenever it was necessary or called for.
He was quite content with listening to the going ons around the table, and he just hoped that Saoirse did not feel overwhelmed being surrounded by them, he guessed at least, or he hoped that she could feel how welcome she was with them, and that they were just chill, plus he had started tossing Atlantis' nickname around. They really weren't big in decorum at all. Looked like Crystal and Saoirse were setting up a potential sparring together. What he knew about his sister, Crystal never really relied on the Force whenever she sparred with people. Then again since he had never actually sparred with Crystal, he had no idea how she was in that case scenario, all that he knew was that she was good at hand to hand combat, and also could pin people down when it called for it.
Although he arched his eyebrow looking at his sister wondering how she'd reply to the following, after all, it was Crystal's choice whether she wanted or not to divulge that she was FS but thus far he had never ever heard any of the students mentioning anything about it. "It's a bummer that Atlantis doesn't hit back, because from what I do know, he is a good duelist, and hand to hand combatant." Ryan mused, it was true, a while ago, he did cross blades a few times with Atlantis, and he could be a heavy hitter.

The teasing between the guys always amused her, they were just carefree, and that was what she loved about them, they had a nice relationship with one another, and Atlantis' use of Franz's nickname that was actually given by Lily to begin with made her smile. Even if Crystal had just spoken with her childhood friend, her not being present made her miss her even more. "Like I have said, boys will be boys." Shaking her head not because she was annoyed by it, but because she truly was amused by it. "It's always a fun time when they are together." That was a statement she knew that Saoirse would know especially with her following statement. Perhaps indeed at some point, Crystal would be weary about Saoirse's quirks, but all in all, unlike Mahela, Crystal has not known Saoirse long enough to be turned off by it. "Granted, I will give you that, but there is also the fact that Mahela has known you long enough. Sometimes I can also be annoyed with Lily quite honestly." Crystal admitted sincerely.
It wasn't that Lily was overly enthusiastic, Lily was just speaking without any filters at all and just said things without censure when Crystal from time to time needed her friend to tone it down and be subtle. "But it never lasts long, and besides, for everyone there are good and bad days, and people just want to be left alone. I do promise though I will let you know if at some point for me it isn't a good day, and I will just need silence." Crystal figured she'd already mention that, and she preferred to be honest above everything else instead of just say nothing, and let it boil up to the point she'd snap. Right now though, there was no trouble for her to just listen to Saoirse without the Zabrak needing to tone it down. It truly was a breath of fresh air in knowing that she had a pleasant day today.
Even Franz seemed to be content with how his trip had gone, that at least was another good news compared to how her day went, but that aside, Crystal turned her attention towards Atlantis as she filled her out about Ayla. "That's good, and I am definitely looking forward to sparring with her, if she is available indeed." Ayla Vos was not just a Councilor of the Mist Order, Crystal knew that she also held the rank of Colonel within the Guardians, and therefore also had other things she had to oversee. It did not bother Crystal if Ayla could not make it, she understood the responsibilities she had, and actually Crystal was already thankful that the Kiffar would give her some of her time.
It also seemed that Atlantis had made secured some extra help from siblings, at first Crystal wondered who, and then nodded upon finding out it was those siblings. "Thanks, I am sure that we'll make it work, one way or another." Picking up her glass, Crystal took a sip of her drink and looked at Saoirse with a grin, and inclined her head. "Just one condition though, no Force usage there." Crystal chuckled softly and put her glass down. "You don't necessarily need the Force per se to anticipate your opponent's moves, sometimes just by the way they move, just by observing, you can figure out quickly where they might strike." Crystal explained thoughtfully before glancing at Atlantis knowingly. "For example, he knows me enough, and seen me fight plenty of times that he can intuit my moves, so sometimes I try to change it up to land a punch." Like Ryan had said too, Atlantis was a good combatant, but unfortunately she had never really fought him. "Now I am sure that if he started to actually really spar with me, there might be a chance that he'd have the upper hand, because I don't really know his fighting style per se." She had seen him actually spar a few times with a guy, and it could be fifty fifty she supposed, but she'll never find out anyways. "Perhaps in the beginning I might have the upper hand, but I am also sure that once you get used to it, and finding your own style, you'll win too. So definitely looking forward to spar with you."
In the end for Crystal, it wasn't really about losing or winning, especially in a sparring session, it was more about always pushing herself to do better, and find openings, and exploiting those constantly.

His mouth dropped when Atlantis rubbed it in that he had missed the dish made by Crystal for lunch time. "Please tell me there are some left-overs?!" Franz pleaded with wide eyes, he knew that Crystal cooked well, close to being a gourmet meal, and all the time it was just so good. "Is it even in the buffet selection there if there are some left overs left?" Franz turned around on his seat look at the buffet as if he would find the answer there of what Crystal had made.
He looked back in front of him and pursed his lips sighing in defeat since he had thought about it in any case, most of the time whenever there were left-overs it had been instructed that they donate those to the shelters and orphanages around the city. So it was definitely highly unlikely that there would be any left. "It's fine, I'll just savor this burger and pretend that it was cooked on point by Crystal." Lame excuse but it was all he got, and he just munched his burger which quite honestly was also good, and cooked to perfection for his taste bud.
Dropping all the clownery and just his momentary slips of crazies, Franz listened to Saoirse's reply and just smiled before nodding. "I am sure he eased you into it when he approached you. I am usually the one approaching people that are attuned to the Force. So truly if you do have questions, it's why we are here for, no? So truly don't worry if it's too much in your opinion, because it'll never be too much, we are here to teach and guide you." Franz sincerely said after all it was the reason she was here too, to learn and be taught by them, and if them, the teachers weren't inclined to answer the questions or anything, what was even the point in having the Academy?
"As you progress, more questions will come up, we know that much, after all, we have been through that too, so nope, definitely not going to regret it at all." Franz just wanted to reassure her, and it also looked like that she had plans to spar, even with Crystal there, and probably more exercises to come. Certainly she'd have to start getting in touch with the Force, as if it was second nature to her, it was after all paramount, though Franz wasn't worried, he knew that they all could guide them without confusing her.

Atlantis chuckled and shook his head at Franz's antics, it certainly was good to seeing him that way again, and seemed to be over what he had personally gone through back then emotionally. That was another story, one that Atlantis wouldn't rattle, "Maybe next time, if I had known that you were coming back this evening, perhaps, and this is a loose perhaps, I might have kept some aside for you. But alas, you came back without warning." Shrugging nonchalantly, Atlantis suddenly paused and narrowed his eyes looking at Saoirse before slightly grinning.
"I am never going to get rid of that nickname, huh?" Shaking his head as if in disbelief, he supposed in a way it was a compliment, but really he never saw himself as that, and he never used his looks to get whatever he wanted, though truth be told it wasn't as if he was the only model face here. Franz and Ryan could also fit that part. By the Force, why him? That got Atlantis to chuckle at the whole situation.
"Like they have said, just say when, and they'll be here." Staying his tongue as Crystal and Saoirse exchange about potentially sparring with one another, under one condition, no Force use, Atlantis was just content in listening though he did furrow his eyebrows and looked at Crystal, he understood what she meant, definitely but at the same time, he knew that she definitely could hold her own. "I don't know about having the upper hand, after all Ayla does tell me that you definitely even land punches against her too." Even if he was, like Ryan mentioned, a good duelist, or even a good combatant, Atlantis wouldn't even test that theory against Crystal for obvious reasons.
"I do think that since you aren't too used to connect yourself to the Force, with Crystal's condition there, it might be a good starting point?" Atlantis suggested thoughtfully, it was just going to be physical, however he wondered if indeed Saoirse could manage indeed without inadvertently connect to the Force, like she had done when she was still playing limmie for her university.

Saoirse smiles when Ryan expresses his opinion that Atlantis is a good leader in addition to being a capable warrior, not surprised to find that would be the case even though her Master doesn't carry or present himself in a way that makes either quality abundantly obvious. From having witnessed how Atlantis conducts himself with her and the other students, as well as how he handles himself when speaking with the other instructors, however, Saoirse can guess that subtle and understated is simply how he approaches leadership. As for how good a warrior Atlantis is, Saoirse has little to base an opinion on save for the competence and depth of knowledge he has shown thusfar in instructing her in lightsaber and hand to hand combat, which, when coupled with the fact he is the Grandmaster of the Mist Order, together suggest that he is every bit the warrior Ryan says he is. After Ryan says that it is a bummer that Atlantis has a policy about hitting back even when only sparring against members of the opposite gender, Saoirse grins and says, "Yeah, but he's also a really good teacher, so I guess that'll have to do, Unless, she tilts her head to the side as she considers the matter a bit more, I ever get to watch him sparring against another dude, I don't know if I'll ever get to see him in action." Saoirse knows that observation can be a valuable learning tool, so while she might never get to face off against Atlantis, it is possible that she might see him sparring against a male student or instructor at some point, which could be nearly as instructive as doing so herself.
Taking a few bites of her dinner as the others talk among themselves, Saoirse has just taken a drink to wash the last bite down when Crystal says that it is always fun when all of the instructors and their family or friends are together like many of them are now, and smiles as she nods in agreement, "I can see that. Even when she first met Atlantis and he introduced her to some of the other instructors and the Kiffu Guardians, Saoirse could tell that they were a tight knit bunch that were not stuffy at all, and can see that everyone at the academy, from the younglings to the teachers, enjoy a good laugh. Grinning when Crystal notes that even close friends can get annoyed with one another and promises to let Saoirse know if her effervescence is ever unwanted she will say so, Saoirse says, Oh, don't worry, I can not only take a hint, but can also zip it when I know someone needs space or just quiet. Laughing a bit, she adds jokingly, Sometimes, believe it or not, I can even figure that out without being told." While she isn't as perceptive or observant as Mahela can be where reading the moods of others is concerned, Saoirse does try as best she can to be aware of such things, and also knows that the better she knows others, the better she is able to do so. While Crystal and the others around the table now are new to her, Saoirse imagines that the more time she has to learn about and get to know them, the better able she will be to read their moods.
Smiling when Crystal makes not using the Force a condition of their sparring together, Saoirse says, "Oh, that won't be an issue, since she has only just begun to learn about using the Force, and has a feeling that it will be a while before she is able to put her hand to hand and lightsaber training together with using the Force in anything other than the occasional and wholly unintentional way that she has used it during bolo-ball games so far. I'm looking forward to it too," Saoirse tells Crystal with a happy smile after the older woman has explained how the Force is not the only way to learn to anticipate an opponent's movements, glad to know that she will have a sparring partner that is willing to hit back since she knows that drills will only teach her so much, and welcomes the chance to learn and hone her new skills.
"We'll see about that no regret part I guess, Saoirse jokingly tells Franz after her points out to her that questions are an expected and welcome part of the learning process, comforted to hear him say, as Atlantis and the other teachers have said before him, that she doesn't need to worry about her habit of asking a plethora of questions as she learns new things. You usually approach new students, huh? Saoirse, taking full advantage of the fact she has been given a license to ask as many questions as she likes, asks Franz. How do you usually find new students? I mean, I get that you sense them, but how? Do you just rely on chance, or is it a more active process?" Curious about how the academy finds students, and guessing that Atlantis coming across her by chance was, if not something the Force guided him towards, an exception to how things usually work.
Having finished her meal, Saoirse settles more comfortably in her chair, turning her attention to Atlantis when he speaks to her. "It sure looks that way, Saoirse tells Atlantis with a grin when he expresses his opinion about the likelihood he will ever be rid of the nickname he has acquired. Nodding when Atlantis says that she can let the twins know whenever she wants to spar with them, Saoirse smiles when he goes on to, echoing her own thoughts on the subject, suggest that Crystal's condition about not using the Force when they spar will be a good starting point, agreeing enthusiastically, Sure! Not having to worry about keeping aware of the Force will make it easier to pay attention to what sparring can teach me. Nodding towards Crystal, who had already pointed out how there are ways to learn to anticipate an opponent's intent that don't involve reliance on the Force, Saorise says, It will be good to learn how to use observation and all that to gauge when an opponent will move or strike too, right?" Having already learned that using the Force or sensing what it can reveal involves focus, Saoirse can see the value in not being solely reliant on it in any situation, including combat. While focus can slip, instincts and learning to observe closely are both skills Saoirse can definitely see the value in cultivating both.

Nodding at Saoirse's assessment, Atlantis being a good teacher, Ryan guessed that she will have to be content with that. It truly wasn't that big of a deal that the Headmaster of the Mist Order was opposed to hitting back the opposite gender, there will always be other ways to get hand to hand combat down like just proven with others stepping in when necessary. "You might have the chance indeed to see him at some point." Come to think of it, Ryan never really saw Atlantis sparring full out with another guy, what he knew though was that there were times that the identical twins sparred with one another, but even so, no one really had the chance to just watch due to the fact that Andros didn't like an audience.
Furthermore it was surprising that Crystal didn't really know her boyfriend's fighting style. Ryan reckoned it had changed throughout the years. "Ya know what, Saoirse? I also want to watch him spar with another dude at some point, it has been a while since I saw that." Ryan said thoughtfully before looking at Atlantis with a grin. "This does not mean I offer myself as tribute in fighting you, Atlantis, because even I know what is good for me. I already don't come close to Crystal's experience, so against you, nuh uh, no thank you, I like where my limbs are at." Sure he could fight, but honestly, he'd rather not, it's not that Ryan was against fighting or anything, it's just that he still and always lived by that creed, do not harm.
Finishing the rest of his meal while the others talked, Ryan briefly looked down with a knowing smile truly glad that the Jedi here were just easy going, maybe he was biased because he grew up with them, or was related to one, still he considered Atlantis too like a cousin, but all in all he always felt at home in the Academy plus it got him to play Limmie with some of the kids during his downtime...

Finished with his burger and pretty satisfied with his meal, Franz washed it down with some soda before patting his stomach contently. Definitely good to be back, and he was also certain that he'd be hungry again later, but that could be arranged. At least he no longer had to rely on MREs any time soon, the next part of the trials would happen here that much he knew. Different matter for another day, right now the Academy's newcoomer and newest learner had some questions for him, to which Franz grinned knowingly.
"I do sense them, and usually I have to be some place quiet, and just meditate while reaching out to the currents of the Force. Each and everyone have what we call a signature, it's distinctive to that person." Franz explained thoughtfully before glancing at Atlantis. "For example, Atlantis here right now, I can feel his signature, usually it is masked by his crystal's lightsaber, which I am guessing he isn't carrying right now." It was true, under any other circumstances when Atlantis was outside of the Academy out and about, he couldn't be detected unless there was some sort of long lasting bond. "As perhaps you might have felt, someone attuned to the Force has a brighter presence than someone who doesn't. Franz inclined his head towards Crystal, since he knew that for obvious reasons of not wanting divulging her affinity to the Force, Crystal always made it a point to dampen her presence in it.
"Crystal in comparison to her brother Ryan here, or even her boyfriend, Atlantis, has a lesser aura shall we call it. Though it does not mean I won't be able to detect it, because I am used to her signature if someone asked me to look for her." Then there was that other matter on how he had to make sure if he had found the right person, or not. "Also I know Force listening, so in my search I also actively listen to make sure that I have the right person, usually when a person starts exhibiting some knowledge in the Force, it often comes with shock or just something they say."
Perhaps it was confusing, and perhaps it was hard to grasp though in a way, Franz was often one to connect to the current of the Force to feel them, and sometimes he would be led where he was meant to be and sometimes no, but in those cases, more often than not he did approach people to offer his help, the Academy's help if they wished it of course. He was about to go on and ask if Saoirse understood what he meant but something stopped him. He even sat up straighter on his seat and furrowed his eyebrows turning his gaze towards the dining hall's windows. "Wh..." Franz looked at Atlantis primarily but also glanced at Crystal briefly. "Please tell me I am not dreaming, and that you feel her too?" He needed the confirmation, but he was damn certain that it was her after not having felt her for nearly three years.
Even if her signature was fainter being a civilian and all, Franz had spent enough time with her to know her signature, and also the one she was with.
