Although Freeda would be more then happy to allow the Jedi on board and have mostly unrestricted access to her systems, she was plenty pissed off at the astromech who had just forced opened a door with some sort of override system.
To that end, a pair of telescopic robotic arms flew out of the oppening and grabbed the small droid to much protest from it.
The droid, who is now in fine distress is being stripped down to its component parts which have made a sizable pile below it, has given up screaming from its vocal box and has simply switched off untill an engineer can take the time to put it back together, or scrap it and use it for parts.
Nevertheless, that droid is history..
The five claws on each 'arm' finish their task and close, before retracting slowly back into the corvette before green lights flash around the open door as an invitation to the Jedi to board the old ship.
the inside of the ship is full of dark colours, and a deep and distant rumble can be detected although its source could not be placed. It would be hard to tell exactly where this ship has been, who has used it and what has happened inside but it shouldn't bee too hard for the Lady Malvern to find out.
Fhat is as long as she and Freeda get along..
Talking about the old hag, she pipes up as the Jedi step inside her hull.
'Please forgive my outburst at that stupid droid, but I do hate it when just anybody thinks they have the right to open me up with an override device. If the fool had simply asked nicely then I would have complied, but no, it had to go down the easy and quick path without thinking about the consequences..'
Just a quick pause before pushing her point forward and to an end of that small matter.
'I thought of all people and groups, your Order would of programmed your droids like you train your Padawans..'
Freeda then imagined for a moment if such training for droids would ever be implemented..
'Welcome to the Freedoms' Hope, I am Freeda, shipboard AI, ready to help in anyway possible..' Freeda's blue holographic image gave a smile and a wave from the large holo-projector in the Communications hub located in the centre of the ship, in front of the two Jedi. She turned her attention towards Lady Malvern.
'I also wish to apologise for any misunderstanding regurding myself and your ship, Lady Malvern. It appears I had a latent Virus running through my systems at the time which I was in the process of purging when it took control, attacked your ship then deleted itself along with any files and data recordings which show any evidence to its existence.'
Freeda shrugged at the Jedi, for indeed any data on the matter had been irrevocably 'cleaned' from her databanks, while other mysterious entries and data had been strategically placed into certain systems and databases to back up the bluff.
She didn't care either way if the Jedi saw through her bullshit, what could they do, make threats? Nope, she could lock and encrypt her databanks and navcomp faster then the best droids here in the academy, then there was her self destruction, which was annoying to say the least.
She awaits word from the two Jedi.

As Talon's ship quickly reduced the droid to its constituent scraps, Nala's lightsaber flew from her belt to her hand. What if whatever had infected Talon was also infecting the ship? The entire Academy could be at risk. However, she did not ignite the blade, and as Freeda addressed herself and Lady Malvern, she re-clipped the hilt to her belt with a faint smile. The Academy hangar would undoubtedly suffer in the process of destroying the ship, and that was absolutely a last resort. She didn't think it would be necessary in this case.
Since Freeda was being up front, the Twi'Lek responded in kind. "Talon Fenris, your pilot, is currently unconscious in our medical wing, and we wish to ascertain where he could have contacted whatever entity is attempting to control his consciousness."
Lekku twitched gently as she inquired, "Can you make tea?"

At the question of tea, a small screen on a nearby wall flashes up revealing an image of a zabrak in what appears to be a kitchen environment.
He is dressed in the whitest chef's whites you have ever seen complete with an impressive hat. There was no crinkles, creases or food stains either on the chef or in his kitchen making it just too perfect to be believed.
Freeda pipes up and introduces him to the Jedi.
'May I introduce Jack, our chef AI..'
She is interrupted by the cooking program very quickly who is none too pleased at his name being mispronounced yet again, just because he has a foreign accent, everyone decides to ignore the niceties of getting his name right.
"Non, Non, Non! My silly girl, my name is not 'Jack', it is Jaques, why you keep making a mess out of my name is unforgivable, I am the finest chef in this side of The Rim, and you and your petty friends think its ok to insult me.. I will have you know I.."
He is abruptly cut of as a large red word appears across his screen.
MUTE
Freeda has stopped the amusing chef even as he continues to talk and prostrate his arms at the Holographic image. She sighs and shakes her head before getting the Jedi's attention again.
'As I was trying to say, you can order a beverage from the Cooking AI, or just do what most of my passangers and staff usually do and walk just down the hall to your left and make it yourself in the small galley, as I can only recollect one user using 'Jacks' interface but didn't get his order because the silly program just talks and talks..'
If the Jedi turned their attention back to the aforementioned screen, they would notice Jaques has begun flinging many objects around his kitchen attempting to get some attention, his clothes now crumpled and stained and his face a deep ruby red from anger at being muted.
Freeda replaced her own holo projection with a large table, with hundreds of listings, dates times and locations which scrolled slowly upwards as she requested all of Talon's data from her databanks.
'Can you please narrow your search down at all? If you could give me specific circumstances or places that my current commander could have been to, then it will make the process much faster.
Its a shame I haven't grabbed an up to date operating system for myself sooner as this one is plagued with bugs, glitches and annoying problems, and don't even get me started about the times it decides it has had enough and crashed to a blue screen with error codes all over..'

Aldes followed Nalatua'lin's lead in dealing with the strange shipboard AIs that Talon associated himself with. The databank glitch offered by Freeda over their altercation was a ploy of some kind, but Aldes was unconcerned by the tiff between the two ships so long as nobody got hurt. She smiled warmly at the AI's explanation. Ships could be repaired and feelings mended, but the lives of the crew around them were irreplacable.
Staring at the listings on the holographic data table, Aldes decided to begin with the most obvious of choices and narrow down their search from there.
"Freeda, could you sort this table based on visits to current or previously Sith-affiliated planets?"

"Of course, standby.."
The table started to scroll up and down extremely fast, with every planet the ship has visited being highlighted in light blue.
Once every planet entry had been selected, every planet which Freeda knows has any dark sided presence is highlighted in a dark blue while the rest are taken off the screen.
Once this is completed, she then refines the search by highlighting any of the selected planets her current commander has visited, these are highlighted in light red.
Out of a few thousand individual entries, only 247 now remain, but none of these are highlighted in the red colour that is required.
"Commander Fenris has visited none of the required worlds, Lady Malvern.. As you can see I have included every visit or communication from the remaining planets made by my previous commanders, their crew and any passengers who ha e ventured on board.
Would you like to refine your search parameters?"
Freeda is pleased she is being used for a good purpose, Commander Fenris has hardly talked to her in years, and she has become more shy and introverted when dealing with other sentient beings or machines, which could explain her outbursts in the hanger.
"As you own a similar model, would you be more comfortable in my security suite?".
The suite is full of camera monitors, a comms station and equipped with a large wall screen which could either have one image from the q screens or multiple feeds simultaneously.
Her search had taken just over 3 minutes, not one of her faster works.

The Twi'Lek smiled curiously mouthing "Jacques" to herself. Anyone listening closely would have heard variations of 'Jacks,' 'Jackwes,' etc, before she finally struck on "Zhahk." What an odd confusion of consonants and vowels plus lack of apostrophes. Humans and their AIs, Nala thought to herself ruefully with a confused shudder of lekku.
She was grateful to Lady Malvern for stepping in. Freeda seemed quite chatty, and Nala wondered if she'd been receiving her scheduled memory-wipes and updates. Her personality was developing in an alarming fashion. She hoped it wouldn't get Talon Fenris into trouble in a pinch. In fact, the AI actually seemed lonely, an emotional feeling that the Healer would not ordinarily have looked for in an electronic compilation of complicated circuitry.
She attempted to reply in a similar fashion, "Freeda, could you narrow your search parameters to include the whereabouts of what I suspect is a Sith Smoke Demon?" she crossed her arms in front of herself with a troubled look over at Aldes Malvern. If she was right, then there was a threat to the Academy already within its precinct.
"Aleranus did notify us that there was one such roaming through Bela Vistal, although we were unable to locate it there. It may have gone looking for a wider---menu." Pencilled eyebrows drew together in a frown.

"Thank you, Master Jedi."
Although Freeda had a high speed transfer link to the holonet, she had never come across anything such as this smoke daemon before, so she set up a local connection to the local archives to see if she could find any more about her target information.
##Connection to Local Server Active##
##Running security check for malicious software on ship##
##Complete, please beware, this is a secure system, and all of your movements on it are under close scrutiny, have a nice day##
Freeda gave a running commentary to the Jedi as she worked, not just to let them know she was working as fast as possible, but also for them to interject if they notice any relevant information.
"I have had no success with finding any mention of a smoke daemon within my datastore, security recordings or Holonet access, so I have a direct link to your academy archives.
All information will be in sections in front of you as I run multiple searches and cross reference those with my data, feel free to stop me and ask questions or redirect my parameters accordingly."
Although Freeda has had access to lots of information before, she was amazed by all the things just one Jedi academy has in its archives. There must be tens of thousands of entries on single subjects alone, let alone the entry dates of older, ancient entries, and that was back in the days when entries had to be made by hand, or written down and updated by another being.
if the Holonet was a vast sea of information, this archive was a colossal ocean of items, and she would have her work cut out.
She started at her most logical choice.
/scaninfo-Subject:[Smoke deamon]>>Disply 1.
This is running a scan on Smoke Deamons in general and displaying them on the first monitor, in the top left of the holoscreen.
/Scaninfo-Person[Aleranus]+Cross-reference with previous requests.
This is asking for information and any recordings of the aforementioned individual and check for any patterns.
/scaninfo-externalsouces-Correlia-Cross-reference.
This search is finding anything outside of the academy grounds for any reports that might form a pattern again.
/searchinfo-Sith Alchemy-Cross-reference previous.
This one would look into the data banks regarding sith alchemy and how smoke deamons work, what the symptoms are and what to do if one ever encounters them.
With most of the holoscreens around the entire ship displaying multiple lists and various results, this will take some time to finish, Freeda wondered if telling the two Jedi a little about how she came to meet Talon.
"This will take some time, and I have requested additional resources from your protocol decision to help speed things up. Would you like a breif summary of how I met Commander Fenris, it may help..?"

Lady Aldes was never one to put too much time into learning how to use starship technology. Her area of expertise (outside of her responsibilities as a Jedi) lay primarily in the mediation of disputes and combat recovery. She was, in effect, a people person. But with Freeda running the cross-referencing searches on her/its own, Lady Aldes took the time to briefly scan one list, then another, and another on her way across the databanks.
"I have very little information on Commander Fenris," Aldes said. "I think a short explanation could only help, if you do." The lady nodded to Nalatua'lin, deferring to her judgment on this point.

"By all means," Nala confirmed Lady Malvern's acquiescence, while watching Freeda's scanning techniques. She pointed to the notation on Aleranus and gave a slight explanation of his connection to the current situation.
"Aleranus arrived at the academy under interesting circumstances following the death of his master. He viewed himself as her property and the sole item he kept with him at all times was a large tome of Sith alchemy used in the hunting of these Smoke Demons and their capture. He seemed to be under the impression that there are only twenty-four of them left in the universe, and one of them was here on Corellia."
Tchunn twitched as Nala folded her arms, "he viewed himself as bound to her quest, and though possessing only the basic skills of a padawan---his master seemed to have neglected his Force and lightsaber training, instead focusing only on the capture of these Sith parasites--he was driven to hunt them. The tome itself is dangerous to Jedi as the dark side influence contained therein constantly clamors for release." She frowned, leaving out the fact that this tome was locked deep in the archives of the Academy's library right now.
"We sent an expedition to Bela Vistal to examine the rumors of strange actions, disappearances, and murder there, but upon arrival we found traces of what we sought, but the Sith demon had left ahead of us."
Stormy grey eyes looked over at Aldes Malvern, "If Freeda can confirm what she has observed of Talon Fenris, in conjunction with our own observations of his behavior in the infirmary, and we are able to narrow it down to something that happened to him on Corellia, specifically in Coronet City, I fear that we may have located our enemy," she hesitated and finally continued in a lower voice, "and it is within the academy."

"I have only known my current commander for about 12 standard years, and he has not been very forthcoming with any information regarding the time before we met.
What I can tell you is that he is a native of this planet with a brief visit to this very academy before disappearing from this world entirely.
Between his departure and finding this ship, I only know that he remembers being abandoned on a planet in wild space with extensive injuries.
Being rescued by a local hunter, , from his description I am almost certain is a Mandalorian, they trained and traveled together for some time before defeating my previous owner of very ill repute, in effect rescuing me.
My databanks have errors untill we crashed back here almost a year ago, where the only item that could be retrieved is an internal security video of the commander fighting off multiple attackers, probably Sith.
Once he had recovered his faculties and I had been repaired, we escorted a Republic Senator along with a few notable members of your Oder to Roon to negotiate with the Count Aldulph Tarkin into joining the Republic along with his many assets.
After this, he accepted an offer to join the group known as the Imperial Remenant, becoming one of their Imperial Knights, defending an ancient sith tomb from a sustained attack from Sith forces and then leaving the group along with a handful of Knights and troopers who are currently enjoying what this planet has to offer."
Freeda gave the two Jedi a few moments to soak all this information in before concluding.
"In all these years, I have observed Talon to enter various fits of rage due for no good reason, although most have been battle situations.
He has had doubts about his own memory and what sort of person he is, wether he is good or bad, doing the 'right' thing, or whom he forms relationships with.
He has come home to hopefully gain some help with his emotions and inner peace, but from what we have discussed and the differing circumstances, I would theorise that Talon probably has been controlled by this Smoke Deamon since he was a child and I am uncertain of what could be done.."

Nala waited, but seeing that Lady Malvern was involved in her own thoughts for now, she spoke up herself.
"Since he was a child you say?" she repeated, wanting to double check that. If Freeda was correct, she was surprised that Talon was still alive. Smoke Demons tended to run through hosts quickly from what she'd been able to make out. Also, if that was the case, then there was still another Smoke Demon on the loose within Coronet City. The Healer sighed. She'd been hoping that the Corellian Demon was the one causing Talon problems.
With a rustle of robes, the statuesque Twi'Lek paced a few steps up and down, a furrow creasing her brow as she considered the ramifications of a situation that appeared to be snowballing. Lekku twitched uneasily.

Freeda nodded her holographic head at the Jedi. She was worried about Talon and what changes he might be going through or that he has already been through. What would happen to him, to her and the induviduals that are around them. Are they safe?
She understands that those that can affect the force can be trouble not just at other but also for themselves if they are involved in situations they are unable or can not control.
'For my thoughts on the matter of why the boy was not killed if the smoke demon did indeed contact him I can not give a satisfactory conclusion but what if it decided to use him and his connection to the force for its own gains, as if trying to play the long game so to speak?'
Freeda knows that this is pure speculation but even the wildest thoughts could be very real.

The Twi'Lek frowned at first. She wasn't used to AI's that were so independent or chatty. Freeda almost seemed to be a complete entity on her own. Anyway, any port in a storm, right? She folded her arms and shot a glance over at Malvern before replying.
"From what we can make out of Smoke Demons, they usually remain dormant until assigned a target. Some can be let loose accidentally to wreak havoc on everything around. But, I don't think they play 'the long game'," tchunn tapped a disconcerted rhythm on her collarbone as she continued, "as parasites they tend to destroy the host quickly. If somehow one has been enable to persevere in existing, that would imply a hand of direction behind at..." she continued, by the end thinking more aloud than attempting to provoke questions.

While questions were being asked and information being passed around, comms from the infirmary has been patched straight through to the ship..
Attention, there is an urgent message from the Infirmary, patching it through now...
Master Nalatua'lin, Mr Fenris has started to wake up from his sedation and i asking us to remove a ring from his person, he is becoming increasingly alarmed that we should do so, can you come and asses him and his condition at once please.
Ring? Oh dear, such information has been deleted from my systems on purpose.. If you make your way to the Commander, he can remotely access my system by use of a small holo-comp attachment on one of his wrist-guards, the left one. I will in the meantime attempt to access my deleted information for you...
Freeda does not usually forget so knows the information about this ring has either been deleted by Talon himself, or by one of his companions..

"Patch it through," she replied automatically, and a second later the tinny voice of an MD was piped into the ship from the Corellian Infirmary.
The Twi'Lek considered this for a moment. While suffering from an excess of personality, Freeda did not seem to be the type of AI to 'forget' things. Was the ring some type of shield from the smoke demon? Nala frowned. How would a ring fit into this?
"On my way," she turned to Malvern, "see if Freeda knows anything else, or if there's some type of pattern to the files that have been deleted. Maybe we can find out something from the missing data."
With a rustle of robes she turned and headed back down the ship's ramp towards the Infirmary.

The flight down took about a couple hours, with a full orbit of decelerating. About 45 minutes out, Riddick and his fighter's droid, Tin Man, check through all the crafts systems for problem. Left hand cockpit lighting was a bit wonky, no real problem. The lights used in the lamps are easy to come by. The air conditioning water separator also needed a little bit of work. No major problem. Both are still flyable conditions, which was fortunate, since he wasn't able to bring a fully qualified maintenance team with him. Fuel system running at a little higher pressure than normal, but within limits. Hydraulics were good, so far. Sensors showing no errors, and fortunately the flight instruments were working reasonably well. Flight controls were a touch sluggish coming down, but then that was typical in a straight on reentry. Overall, minor things.
Half an hour out, Riddick calls the Academy on their tower frequency, letting them know he was close to landing.
Academy, Steel Actual. One half hour out, on approach. Condition A1, requesting approach and landing. How copy?

On route to parking, direct, switching to ground frequency.Riddick made for the landing pad, slowing as needed as he drew near. He contacted ground control as needed, and was marshaled into the spot in which he was designated to land. As the E-Wing descended into the spot, Riddick moved the gear control stick to the down position and eased on the throttle and repulser control. The wings popped out from the wing root enough to allow them to fold up toward the fuselage, giving the landing gear ample clearance to support the craft as those emerged from the craft, spread apart and began to support the weight of a decently loaded craft. Once the craft was completely shut down, he conducted the same post flight checks, a walk around, and sealing up of the fighter, with all the security. It had become such routine that he could've done it in the deepest of sleep. All he needed, when ever he took off next, was to top off the fuel, and possibly try on some maintenance. Once finished, he made for the council, but not without making sure that they knew he was here, and why.

The CR90 Corvette drifted down through the atmosphere and continued upon its approach to the Temple Hangar Bay, before touching down in an unoccupied landing spot. Avanoraa and Aellemere made their way down the boarding ramp, whilst the 100 Massassai Warriors, 50 Elite Massassai Warriors, 10 Massassai Commando's, and Commander Altaaly disembarked behind them, unloading some of the gear they had brought with them. They weren't entirely sure if anyone would meet them here to greet the addition to the Temple's defences, so they waited to see what would happen

There is a distinct air of commingled curiosity and apprehension discernible in the air as I reach the hangar, so palpable that I suspect I would be aware of it even were I not possessed of the gifts granted to those attuned to Ashla. When I am further in the hangar, the cause of the commingled curiosity and apprehension of our civilian hangar crew and academy residents present in the hangar becomes quite obvious: an unannounced arrival that offloads a sizable military force immediately upon landing certainly curious at best, and cause for concern at worst. As Ashla sends me no warnings of impending danger or cause for concern, I elect to reserve judgement for the time being, though prudence demands I also take the precaution of telepathically making Hyatt Ashton - my fellow Jedi that I have known long enough to make it relatively easy to connect with his mind to send a series of images I trust he will quickly and correctly interpret to gain an understanding of both the situation itself and my suggestion he take the necessary steps to ensure the academy's alert level is subtly raised appropriately - aware of what is transpiring.
Clasping my hands behind my back, my lekku both sliding from my shoulders to drape behind my back as well, I approach the CR-90 calmly, stopping when I have arrived at a respectful and prudent distance from the two utterly unfamiliar females of unknown origin that appear to be in charge of the force that curiously - or ominously depending on one's point of view - appears to be unloading as though in preparation to remain here at the academy for some time. Addressing the females initially, lifting my gaze shortly afterwards to include the troops in my greeting, I bow respectfully before rising to say, "Welcome to the Corellian Jedi academy. I am Master Roma, one of the academy's headmasters. As our unexpected guests had not seen fit to make us aware of their identities or the purpose of their visit prior to their arrival, I tilt my head to the side at an inquisitive angle and smile as I ask, To what do we owe the pleasure of this unanticipated visit?"
