Andros leaned back against his seat with both of his forefingers on his lips. It might have looked like that he wasn't heeding Lucine's request, or even paying that much attention but he was actually thinking about it. Though there wasn't much he could actually do about it. The last time he got her that promotion, he did pull some strings. He supposed he could do it again. Standing up from his seat and taking his comlink with him, Andros sped-dialed the Marshal's office before actually walking far away from his desk to talk with Mistal.
Vyridian here, yes, thank you. Andros went straight to the point the moment he got Mistal on the line, and exchanged not briefly but long enough with him before cutting the comm short and returning towards his seat.
"I am not going to tell you that you got your promotion, though I can tell you that there is a chance." Andros leaned down and grabbed a piece of paper before scribbling the date and time on it and the location, which was UDF's HQ. "For all intents and purposes, I am just but a civilian, Marshal Mistal has the last say, and you need to go through a few tests, psychological, even physical, for after all from everyone's perspective it has been 3 years. But succeed, know that your promotion will come, as for your bump in pay, that I can certainly provide externally." Handing Lucy that paper, Andros sat down on his seat again before focusing his attention onto Elika hoping she had come to terms with his offer, which again had been a long time coming before what happened.
Andros understood altogether that Elika had actually accepted his offer, though what he did not expect was Lucy asking for confirmation. Well that certainly was different between them two. He wondered if the hyperspace accident had anything to do with Lucy's change of attitude with her principle or because she was from where he was standing that evening definitely officially dating a certain Kiffar Major.
"You two," Horizontally waving his index finger at both of the women in front of him with actually a faint grin. "Different, but in a good way. I was told you didn't talk much back then." Shaking his head briefly and actually smiling genuinely, Andros grabbed his cup and took a sip of his drink guessing that he would fill them in about what factually happened. "I got the incident report," He lifted the dossier that was on his table and placed it back down, it wasn't too thick, but it had the report. "One of the inter-level of the conduits of the hyperdrive had a hairline crack. It expanded when you were entering into hyperspace." Looking at Lucine with a knowing expression, Andros just carried on by saying. "Your consoles might have notified you then and there when you pushed the lever, but it was too late. Then one of the starfighters noticed that bizarre phenomenon during their routine combat air patrol."
It was all technocrap, and probably something Elika wouldn't be too familiar with, ergo why he just tried to use basic than go into details with all those technical terms that no one needed to hear currently. "The Prothoe is fully being repaired, of course you are free to check for your own self, and I'd even go as far as suggesting that perhaps take your Major with you." Smirking then and there, Andros just suggested that, also because he did know Forcias, and he knew what the Kiffar was good at. "Not only he is a great mechanic, but he is also one of the best pilots I know."
That at least being said, Andros leaned back against his seat again and looked at both Elika and Lucy dubiously. "Is there anything more you wished to discuss, or wanted to know?" Although there was something else he was going to add, at first he stayed his tongue then and there, but he figured that while he was at it, he'd just say it. "If you aren't taken tonight already, can I steal you for the evening?" Andros asked Elika directly.

Lucine, arms still crossed over her chest, huffs when Andros says that her promotion will require enduring a battery of psychological and physical tests since she has, technically speaking, been missing for 3 years, and says, "Whatever, and then, her sly grin resurfacing when he says that the bump in pay is something he can handle, asks, Wait, can I just take the raise and forget about the bump in rank?" Even though her assignment to protect the geek would mean the added responsibilities of an increase in rank would be minimal or nonexistent so long as the assignment lasts, Lucine can't be sure that would be the case and if she can get the increase in pay without that possibility hanging over her head and without the nuisance of tests and getting Forcias to sew new rank insignias on her uniforms, she has no problem keeping her current rank, especially when her protests had mostly been her being her grumpy self.
Elikapeka and Lucine exchange a baffled look when Andros suggests that there is something different about them, pointing out they are talking more, Lucy shrugs and Elika points at her and agrees, "You know, now that you mention it, she is more talkative, crinkling her nose as she adds, I'm always talkative, well, not always, but, you know, most of the time. It could be, she muses, an effect of her having to keep me from freaking out by . . ."
Waving her hands impatiently to avoid revisiting the events after they were pulled out of space and time, Lucy says, "It's not important, I'll get over it and go back to being distant and cool when we're officially back to our lives, and then shushes the geek when she tries to say something else. Sniffing when Andros says she and Forcias are free to check the Prothoe over after it has been repaired, Lucy mutters, Damn right we will, unable to keep from smiling just a little when he refers to Forcias as her Major. Shaking her head when Andros asks if they have anything else they want to talk about, Lucy says, Just tell me when I'm officially back on duty and I think we're done here."
Elika, pursing her lips in thought as she sifts through the thousands of questions she has about her new position, nods with a smile after realizing she can ask them at any time if Andros steals her for the night, "I'm all yours, then feels her cheeks flush as she adds, Well, not for the whole evening, since, you know . . ."
"Your Hapan might have something to say about the VeeGee stealing you for the whole night?" Lucy quips with an amused grin, pretty sure that thoughts of a certain Miss Wan are responsible for the color in the geek's cheeks, and then, lifting her hands to back out of the discussion before she either embarrasses the geek even more or starts to get on Andros' nerves any more than she probably already has, stops talking before her mouth gets her into trouble.

Andros had been rubbing his temple with his index finger, although he did not show any other outward signs of being weary or just starting to grow impatient altogether, he used that hand of his to grab his cup of coffee and just take a sip of it still looking at the Lieutenant stolidly. Andros had been long enough in the position he was still in that he was aware enough on how the funds worked within the government. All he knew was that the military had their own budget that had been provided by the government, and however they redistributed that to their agents, or even soldiers that was out of his scope. All he knew again, he could influence a few things here within, but that again he would have to talk with the finance department, meaning Crystal Kayne...
That aside, not a now problem, as Lucine was more motivated in having a bump in pay, which he understood. Hopefully this would make it clearer for her. "The pay you get from the military that is out of my reach. But after three years, I am guessing your pay tied to your rank has increased all the same." That's all Andros said about that her salary from the military, inflation and all, or whatever, but that also did not answer her question which is why he just looked at her. "When I said I could handle that externally, I meant the stipend you were getting from the government, which you have been getting actually the moment you were mandated to Elika. Each time she is called offworld for a project, you get that said stipend from us, and even extras when you have encountered some problems."
Economic babble crap, which honestly was just boring altogether, and perhaps he even had a certain look that he'd rather talk about something else than that. But Andros knew he had to get to that point to make Lucy understand that she was getting two pays, that fixed one from the military for who she was, but also one from the offices here intermittently, again tied to when Lucine would accompany Elika offworld. "As for when you are back on duty, you still need to get to UDF HQ, and get your securities updated. So I reckon whenever you show up there, alive and all of that you will be fully reinstated."
In the end, in Lucy's case, whether she wanted her promotion or not, that was up to her, if she was content with her current rank, then so be it, though she'd retain her pay as is now, and that was about it. Not his concern, at least not any longer since he'd be giving Crystal a memo about those exceptional expenditures about Lucy who was now actually protecting their Master Architect, also another memo to write for Crystal about Elika's salary, Andros tapped his index finger on his desk and looked at Elika with a faint smile inclining his head understanding what she meant all the same.
"I believe that we are done now here Lieutenant." Andros looked at Lucine probably with his usual look. "I'll make sure that Elika gets back home safely." An assurance that possibly he did not need to give but Andros was still a very capable fighter and still could reach out to the Force to sense anything around him when he wasn't confined in his office. "You may go, I wouldn't want to keep you away from your Kiffar." Cracking a faint smirk there, Andros just waited for a moment to see if in fact Lucy would take her leave, and so when she did Andros looked at Elika with a very genuine smile.
"For what you have said earlier, yes I do understand, and would not want to also keep you away from her. Shall we have dinner? We can go to a restaurant, or order some take outs and have them here." Andros stood up from his seat and walked towards the one that Lucy had vacated, he sat down on it and turned it to face the Architect. "Congratulations on your promotion, by the way, my dearest Master Architect." Andros said warmly as he took both of her hands and held them in between his own just looking at her with a smile. "Though that is nothing compared to the fact that I am very happy to have you here once more." Not needing to say it, that much he knew, although he assumed that she could see it in his eyes that he truly was content, relieved all the same as those three years of not knowing had been hell for him, for a lot of them...

Lucine stops paying attention to most of what Andros says after he gets to the part about a stipend, continuing to look at him so she at least looks as though she is paying attention. Financial details bore her, and Lucine is glad when the VeeGee wraps up by reminding her that she will still need to reach out to the UDF to get her security clearance and other crap managed so that she can be fully reinstated. "Right, Lucine says, not responding to the quip about her Kiffar even though it is actually pretty funny, especially coming from Andros of all people, and then stands up and waves over her shoulder as she walks to the door, Later."
Elikapeka smiles as her lieutenant departs, blushing when Andros says he wouldn't want to keep her away from Delaana, and nodding when he asks if they should get dinner. Comfortable enough with Andros that her embarrassment does not linger long given she knows he is not teasing her in anything other than a friendly way, Elika, probably not surprising Andros at all, suggests, Why don't we just order in? You pick, surprise me." Between her social anxiety and Andros' desire for privacy when his duties as Vice Governor allow him to enjoy it, Elika figures that they will both be more comfortable dining in his office than at a restaurant.
Smiling when Andros goes on to congratulate her and express his happiness that she has been safely returned to Umgul after having been, from his perspective, missing for three years, Elika says, "Thank you, my dear Vice Governor, for both the promotion and the congratulations. After taking a sip of her coffee, Elika holds the mug in both hands as she says, I'm happy to be here too, pursing her lips as she thinks about how she could easily still be stuck in between realspace and hyperspace were it not for the keen eyes of a UDF starfighter pilot, and shuddering a little as she says in a soft voice, I still can't believe how close I came to being just . . . stuck up there. Shivering and visibly setting the thoughts about what could have been aside before they get their hooks deeper into the flesh of her mind and spoil her time with Andros, Elika imitates his finger waving earlier as she tells him in his own words, Different, but in a good way. Tilting her head to the side as she purses her lips and tries to put a finger on what is different about Andros' demeanor, Elika says, You seem. . . more at peace with yourself than I remember you being. Smiling, she says, It suits you. Curling her legs up beneath her as she settles more comfortably in her chair, Elika says, So, tell me anything and everything about what you've been up to while I was stuck. Crinkling her nose, she suggests, And let's make that the last time we mention the stuck-up-there-ness of it all, I think I'd be very happy if I never needed to think or talk about it again, in my life," knowing that neither are likely to be possible in the long run as the event has had an effect on those in her life and will more likely than not continue to affect hers in different ways for some time as she tries to rebuild her life and her relationships after they have been irrevocably changed in a myriad of ways large and small, already revealed and yet to be revealed.

Now they were in fact alone, Andros was definitely more himself, or the new version of himself, heck he really doesn't know, but apparently he had changed, and for better or worse he'd take it. Currently he was just enjoying this time he had with Elika, one that he had been looking forward to ever since she had been pulled back from realspace a few days ago. For now, he did not move from his spot, and stayed seated when without a surprised to him, Elika in fact went with the take out suggestions. He could handle that in a bit. Right now he just was not in a rush.
Smiling when she repeated his exact index gesture and also statement of his, Andros just lifted his shoulders slightly not dismissively or playing coy, but more because he was actually relaxed with that statement, and her observation. Plus she did put it in words, so that just comforted him in a way too that she had in fact noticed. "I've been talking to and with a therapist." He revealed to her with no apprehension and that might have probably shocked her which was why both of his eyebrows shot up quickly too before saying. "I know, it shocked me too at first." Again no apprehension in sharing, nor was he even inclined to hide that fact, at least not to her. Though come to think of it, not everyone knew that he was seeing a therapist, not physically face to face, but more with Andros sitting here at his office and talking with that said therapist via holo-comm.
"As for not mentioning the whole stuck-up-there-ness, you can count on me. However knowing you, I am sure that you will still think about it, no?" It really was not a question, and she did not need to answer that, for he knew all the same. It was a huge matter, part of her life now and one that has influenced to varying degree the people around her. "The only thing I can tell you, I know it's easier said than done, but you do have to accept it fully that is what happened, but also on the other side also accept that you have people around you that are still here and will always make you feel at home no matter how long you have been gone." Andros' gaze might have been compassionate, or something along those lines, he gave her hand a squeeze before standing up from his seat to get over to his dataterminal to actually order some food that he picked up by cultural mixture for her benefit much like his own and added something else for the Ysalamir in his office, the vegan kind.
While they waited, he figured he'd fill her in with what he had been up to. "Well, you already know, therapy." He then turned to look at the Olbio tree and the Ysalamir perched on it, pointing at it. "I also have that to thank, actually. Not that you feel the difference or anything, but it's an Ysalamir, repeals the Force, and often some of the Jedi despise coming to my office." Shaking his head with a chuckle he supposed that it helped him to be calm, and just not be able to tap into the Force when some matters just pissed him off altogether. "I guess I have been just trying to find better ways on how to make this planet self sufficient and be helpful too to the residents. Oh and also don't worry the press is no longer on anyone's back, so no more harassment."
Otherwise really what Andros had been up to all this time, it was just running the planet, but also training often, and getting some help other than that, his life was boring truly.
In the meantime as she was standing by, Xyrias who had seen Lieutenant Lyn exiting the VG's office just looked at the woman without showing any other outward signs but just contempt. Whatever that was going through her mind, she was thankful for being Epicanthix, and that wasn't something she'd say out loud at all. Her presence here was only due to the fact that just like her brother, Valaras, they were protecting the VG and whomever he was with. Getting a comm from the lower level of the building, Xyrias instructed for it to be checked before being brought up before another inspection.
Satisfied with it being harmless, the Epicanthix knocked on Andros's office door who had actually opened it with a button and also he stood up to meet her halfway his office. "Thank you, Xyrias." Andros told her before glancing at Elika and then back at the woman standing by him. "Later, whether it's Miss Wan's place, or the Lakehouse, we'll be dropping her off, so please find the best routes to her chosen destination."
"Understood, sir." Xyrias inclined her head before looking at Elika with a knowing smile actually. "Miss Hekekia, enjoy your meal this evening."
Turning around, Andros figured they have their dinner on the table next to the view of the City, not that there was much to see. He retrieved from cutlery and napkins for them and just presented each dishes for them to share. "Figured I would go with a few things from your homeworld and your friends. Braised shaak roast, five blossom bread, meatpie and some blossom wine." Andros explained, and then tilted his head on the side glancing at her. "Good enough for that surprise?

Elikapeka is unsuprised that her surprise is obvious when Andros reveals that he has been seeing a therapist, and reaches up to rub her forehead as she jokes, "Shocked is an apt word for it, and then becomes more serious as she tells him sincerely, But good for you, I know it must not have been the easiest decision for you to make, as she knows him well enough to understand that the decision to open himself up to someone else must have not been made lightly, suggesting that whatever had been troubling had been serious indeed. It has, Elika says while gesturing towards him and smiling in a way that makes it clear she is happy to see that his work with the therapist seems to have given him some peace of mind and greater comfort in his own skin, obviously been working out well. Not wanting to repeat herself by telling him that the positive changes in him are as clear as day for anyone that knows him well enough to understand that how he typically presents himself when not in the company of those he is comfortable with is nothing at all like what lays beneath the scowls or stoic demeanor, Elika refrains from doing so and instead simply says, I'm happy for you, then wags a finger at him as she playfully instructs him, Keep talking to them, 'kay? 'Kay."
Crinkling her nose and bobbling her head from side to side when Andros, agreeing not to mention the stuckness anymore, tells her that she will need to come to terms with it eventually, and reminds her that he and others in her life will always be there for her, Elika smiles as she says, "I know I have to accept it, her smile widening as she adds, And I know that you and, she waves a hand to mean the other members of their social circle, everyone are here for me, and I hope you and they know how much it means to me that you will always be here."
Elika gets up, setting her coffee cup on Andros' desk when he points out the cute lizard thing on the tree in his office, moving closer and squatting in front of the Olbio tree to get a closer look at the Ysalamir. Reading the name on a tiny plaque on the pot the tree sits in aloud, Elika says to the Ysalamir, "Wihakayda, huh? That is a lovely name, and it is very nice to meet you. Take, she jokes as she glances over her shoulder at Andros, good care of him, 'kay? Standing back up, Elika returns to her chair and tells Andros, Thank goodness for that, referring to the fact that the press will not be intruding on any of their lives as they had many years ago when Andros had been the victim of a sinister plot against the Mist Order and Mist Government. Picking up her coffee mug, Elika smiles as she jokes, Well, it sounds like nothing much has changed for you since I saw you last, referring to his continued hard work acting as the Vice Governor of Umgul, adding, except the therapy of course."
Suddenly very interested in the contents of her coffee mug when an unfamiliar brunette woman enters the office to deliver their dinner, after which she will apparently be delivering Elika to wherever it is she decides to go later, Elika manages a smile as she looks up briefly and timidly tells the woman after being told to enjoy her meal, "Oh, thank you, Xyrias, looking back into her coffee mug as she gets mildly more anxious as she starts wondering what the woman's knowing smile might have meant, and adds in a bantering tone, I guess I will see you later then?"
Her anxiety fades away almost visibly once Xyrias has left, her demeanor as relaxed as it had been when she and Andros were alone, and Elika stands up to join Andros at the table where his laying the food out. Uncorking the wine and pouring a glass for each of them, Elika smiles happily as she tells Andros, "Definitely good enough, yes, delighted with his choice of dishes from Naboo, and then teases him playfully, No berries soaked in rum custard for dessert? Handing Andros a glass of Blossom wine, Elika lifts her glass and toasts him, To therapy and being back among very good friends."

Placing the napkins down and the cutlery by the plates, Andros stopped momentarily and looked at Elika with a playful narrowed eyes. "Grah, the dessert. I knew I had forgotten something." He pointed his index finger at his temple and pretended to shoot himself before nudging her shoulder gently. "Next time." Taking the glass from her and lifting the glass with a smile, he lifted a finger before adding. "And to your promotion as well." Clicking his glass with her, and taking a sip of the wine, not usually his go to drink but one he enjoyed all the same.
Andros proceeded with serving her food first then doing the same for him before sitting down and looking at her with a faint grin. "About your message, by the way. Let me reassure you already, no nothing embarrassing, not that Ljiljana would know though as she was not present. However..." Taking a bite of the roast and savoring it, he dabbed his lips with his napkin after swallowing. "Your Lieutenant had no inhibition whatsoever when Forcias just walked up to her, they went into an intense lip lock, I bet if people weren't around, well I have no doubt it would not just stop there." Shaking his head and shrugging indifferently really to what he had just said. Cynical humor maybe, or just stating facts, as he figured that those two would have been very capable of that, Andros glanced towards the entrance of his office and then looked back at Elika thoughtfully.
"The Epicanthix you just saw, Xyrias, actually she is outside with her brother, you will see him later, but her, well if your Lieutenant isn't too careful, well I have some rumors." Probably surprising to Elika that he was sharing rumors or whatever, but in the end actually it just amused him all the same, and as Atlantis knew everything that occurred at the Academy, Andros was very much the same when it came to the government building. "I trust her though, just like her brother, they are good people and you won't even notice them much, so don't worry they will not be in the same transport as us later when I drop you off." Andros reassured her as he did see her shift in body language earlier when Xyrias had come into his office to hand him the food.
"Tell me though, did the ladies spoil you the day after your return?" Andros asked genuinely and he let her actually lead the conversation when she wanted to, or he would take the relay if she preferred it that way. He was just enjoying that moment they had together, just catching up, serious talks have been had, and right now it was just them catching up and enjoying this moment of peace at least until they were done with their food.
Andros was sipping the last of his wine, not that he had drank much since he did have to pilot her to wherever she wanted, he looked at her with a dubious expression. "So tell me, tonight where is it going to be?" Andros genuinely asked with no second thought at all, to him as long as she was safe that was all that mattered to him.

"I will try to find it in my heart to forgive you, Elikapeka tells Andros with a playful smile when he says that he will remember the dessert next time, and then after their toasts and first sips of wine, sits down, shaking her head as he beats her to serving the dinner out for them both and teasing him, Don't think this little display of chivalry gets you off the hook for dessert next time," before, once the dinner has been served out, picking up her knife and fork to cut into her shaak roast.
Smiling in a mildly surprised way after Andros has reassured her that she had not embarrassed herself in the hangar, and would not need to worry about Lily, who will be sneezing somewhere since Andros mentioned her name, embarrassing her more by teasing her about it had she embarrassed herself, he goes on to tell her about the rather spirited reunion Forcias and her lieutenant, who has always seemed rather straight laced and stoic to her, shared. "Well, since he had not seen her for three years and she had just gone through a rather harrowing experience, I suppose, Elika says as she butters a piece of five blossom bread, they can be forgiven for being overcome."
Looking more than a little relieved to learn that Xyrias will not be the one taking her home later, Elika circles back to the rumors Andros had mentioned after suggesting that her lieutenant has some reason to be careful that has something to do with Xyrias, asking Andros, "What are these rumors? Pointing her bread at him, Elika smiles as she playfully warns him, And don't tell me you can't tell me, you can't say there are rumors and then not reveal the rumors, adding in a victorious tone suggestive of knowing her argument is airtight, there are rules about that kind of thing you know," and then takes a bite of her bread.
Taking a sip of her wine, Elika nods as she says, "There was spoiling, yes. We went to TaSpa! she bobbles her head from side to side as she adds, of course, since they are frequent customers of TaSpa!, then lifts a hand and wiggles her fingers to show off her nails, Manis, massages, lunch, the works. Smiling as she spears a bit of meatpie with the tines of her fork, Elika smiles and says, You should come with sometime, it would be fun, laughing as she suggests, Just ask Franz," who had come with them on one memorable occasion
Her cheeks flush a bit when Andros asks where she will be going, and Elika dabs her lips with her napkin before, guessing that she will have to get used to that kind of question since she and Delaana's having spent the night together has clearly become common knowledge among their circle of friends, telling him, "Oh, the, you know, the Lakehouse, of course," in as nonchalant a way as she can manage, which, given that her cheeks remain flushed and she is looking at her empty plate rather than at Andros, is probably not very nonchalant at all.
Getting up and beginning to clean up their dishes after raising an index finger to playfully warn him not to try and help her, Elika, changing the subject from where she is going to something else entirely, asks, "So, what do I need to know about my new position? When will I be starting? Warming to the topic as she asks the questions and begins to feel excited about the challenges and opportunities the job is sure to bring, Elika asks eagerly, Do you have any projects lined up already?"

Laughing when Elika did circle back to his statement about rumors, Andros was laughing at her, but more laughing at the whole situation where Elika was indeed curious about those said rumors, which was why he had lifted his hand and looked at her in a way that he indeed conceded to her statement. "No, no, it's not that I cannot or will not tell you, it's just that I had the wrong assumption to begin with." Andros explained why he was laughing originally. "It's my fault indeed, but I didn't know you'd even be curious about those said rumors." He should have known better, wondering on where to start, he had his chin upon his knuckles and figured he'd start at the beginning.
"As you know, I am very certain it's a known fact on this planet, the Kiffars as a general rule are often guarded, and do not truly share the whats and whys, or how come they are what they are and what they do." Which actually he had come to realize all the same that it wasn't that they were guarded, it was just they did not volunteer information at all if they weren't asked. "I have come to find out that isn't much of the case. You remember Horsea, right?" Andros wasn't sure if Elika had already officially met her truly or even spoken with the Deputy Director. Though in order to get to those said rumors, Andros also had to explain what happened three years ago when Forcias had actually come back really a few days after Lucy did from Naboo and he had voluntarily stepped down from the Guardians due to what was happening within the Kiffu Guardians indeed.
Andros knew, and explained to Elika, that there was no way that Mace or even Ayla who were technically both ranking higher than the General of the Guardians would send Forcias away, and it certainly wasn't what the General's sister would want too, the sister being Horsea. Well ever since Forcias was technically relieved from his Guardians duty, Andros had of course with Mace's permission asked Forcias if he would be interested in consulting for the defense force or even the intelligence department, as Andros knew that Forcias and starships often come as one. The Major was a great pilot and any spaceships the Kiffar piloted those all with ease. There was also that well known matter, the Kiffars, as a general rule, too, worked effortlessly and effectively together. The rumor part though.
"Xyrias, at first, thought that Horsea and Forcias were a thing until she found out that they weren't and the Epicanthix was wondering I assume why despite everything Forcias didn't seem interested, I suppose there were those other rumors that were circulating around the Defense Force about one of the women," Andros pointed his finger up to let Elika know about the whole being stuck up there but previously he had assured her that he wouldn't bring it up again so to speak. "Being with Forcias, I suppose now with Lucine being back, and probably with an even playing field so to speak, I wouldn't be surprised if Xyrias proves to the Kiffar that maybe life would be better with her than with the Corellian?" Andros shrugged and actually had an amused grin on the corner of his lips. A while back, he was fairly certain that these sort of things wouldn't even be something he'd discuss or anything, but those were the rumors. And whatever happened, honestly in the end he couldn't care less also. They lives, not his, and his already could be complicated altogether anyways.
"Like I have said, rumors."
Picking up the water on the side, uncapping it, Andros took a sip of it after he poured some in the glass. Not surprised at all that indeed she had been spoiled at TaSpa!, noticing her fingers and nodding with an appreciative look, Andros' hand froze then and there when Elika mentioned that he should come to the spa, or even ask Franz. "She always kept her word..." Andros' gaze somewhat turned not sadness but just probably missing. No one knew, except perhaps two people at that time, one was Serrin, and the other was her Padawan, Terra. Knowing that Elika was probably confused at what he had just said, Andros smiled with a somewhat far away look towards the window. "Several years ago, I remember being enraged at what Lucine had said to me. There was some miscommunication, and I do not think she actually had realized how close I had been to..." Swallowing that part, preferring to censor it altogether as that day he remembered it like it was yesterday too. Lucy had just insulted his very core and his belief. "I needed to calm down, and I had set off to the city park making sure that no one was around as I just needed to expunge the rage I was feeling inside, but instead out of the blue, this Twi'lek approaches me with her Padawan." Andros looked at Elika knowingly with a warm smile, he knew that she would understand he meant Serrin. "We got into a philosophical talk, one that actually calmed me down. The next thing I know I found myself at TaSpa! with a Herglic popping every bones of my body, and I don't even need to tell you how I felt that instant, I just wanted to escape. I have asked Serrin to keep this to herself and not tell anyone about that day." Laughing at the memory again, it was one of the good ones he shared with Serrin when he thought about it, even if at that time it wasn't that agreeable to him. Plus he did pull that stunt back then of putting the spa spree on the Senator.
Andros did notice Elika blushing when the location of this evening was brought up, but again, Andros had nothing to say about it, nor did he feel it was his place to say anything about it, tease her about it? No, make her talk about it? If she wanted to. But when it came to relationship he was just as bad anyways, which was why he was thankful to when the topic of her job came up.
"As soon as you want it to start, you can start. Which reminds me, you'll be at the same floor as the legal department as it made better sense with one of their teams handling all the permits and approval for new construction, so you'll have right away the specifics when it comes to area and everything." He explained thoughtfully though he pursed his lips right then and there knowing that Lily was also on that floor apparently a lot preferred avoiding the AG's sector. "Pay no mind to what happens, or doesn't happen in the legal department, also I am very sure that you'll be seeing one of your housemates in a different light. Some of her paralegals apparently call her the she-demon or just ruthless bitch." Shrugging again, because rumors, which there was plenty here but again not the point, the point there was actually. "Actually, I do have a project lined up indeed. An old project that I never could kick off the ground, with you busy, and me busy, but the Raceways? I want that finally done, if you are up for it."

Elikapeka continues cleaning up after their dinner as Andros, somewhat surprisingly, concedes her argument about the rules regarding the mention of rumors, and fills her on the nature of the rumors in question, laughing a bit at the revelation that Xyrias had at one time believed that Forcias and Horsea were an item before hearing of the rumor which was, in this instance a true one, that he was instead in a relationship with her lieutenant, and may even so elect to try and come between Forcias and Lucine, causing Elika to arch an eyebrow dubiously as she says, "Well, best of luck to her," in a ironic way given that, from what she understands, her lieutenant and Forcias are rather close and not likely to be parted no matter how comely the Epicanthix is; not to mention that she has known her lieutenant long enough to suspect that getting on her bad side is not something she would recommend that anyone do no matter their motives or intentions.
Her smile leans more towards mournful than amused as Andros, replying to her invitation to join her and her friends at TaSpa! sometime, shares with Elika that he has already been to the spa after a meaningful encounter with Master Roma, who was taken from her friends and colleagues among the Mist Order and Mist Government too soon while attempting to arrest Lyov Entin, who was ultimately captured by Atlantis and other councilors of the Mist Order. Elika did not know the Jedi Master as well as Andros or the Jedi of the Mist Order, but remembers the Twi'lek as a kind, wise and gentle being that deserved a better fate than she met at the hands of Lyov Entin's apprentice. Having studied some of what the Jedi believe while designing the Mist Order academy so that the knowledge of their philosophies and ideals could be subtly incorporated into her designs for the buildings and grounds of the academy, Elika rests a hand on Andros' shoulder as she reminds him, though he is not technically a Jedi per se, of one of, in her mind, the more beautiful beliefs of the Jedi Order, hoping it is of some comfort to her friend as he remembers the Twi'lek that had once provided him with solace when he needed it most, "She is one with the Force now, and so will always, in a way, be there should you need her, unsure whether she believes that what she says is true given that she is neither Force Sensitive nor sure that Andros shares the Jedi's beliefs about what happens when one passes on from this life to whatever lays beyond it and so adding in a sorrowful yet hopeful tone that Andros will know why she would would want to believe herself what she tells him, And she will always be in your heart and memories too, living on in them and always present in those places when you think of her and remember what she taught you while she was here, whether in her words or by her actions."
Looking away after giving Andros' shoulder a gentle squeeze, Elika busies herself with the last of the cleanup and is grateful for the change in subject when, as she sits on the edge of his desk while listening to his reply to her question about when her new position begins, she learns that she can begin as soon as she feels ready to do so. Smiling at the thought of her workspace being near enough to Lily's that she may have occasion to learn why her friend and housemate has earned her less than flattering nicknames, Elika says in an amused tone, "I will do my best to pay no mind to anything that happens, or does not happen, and then purses her lips in thought as she thinks back to what she remembers about the Raceways project that they had briefly discussed in the past. Nodding as she remembers a few details, unsure if it was Andros or her housemates that had mentioned the possibility of some businesses in the city being given licenses to purchase spaces in the Raceways to be used as additional spaces for their businesses, Elika smiles as she says, Well, then you will have the unique honor of being my very first client in my new role, won't you? Taking her spectacles off and cleaning the lenses with a handkerchief she takes from a pocket, an action Andros will know her well enough to recognize as a sign of concentration rather than anxiety from the expression and relaxed manner she exhibits while performing it, Elika suggests, Why don't we talk a little bit about what you have in mind for the Raceways on the way to the Lakehouse? It will, she grins as she returns her spectacles and handkerchief to their respective places on her person, give me something to do while I work on designing my workspace here and hiring any staff I might feel the need for. Already feeling her excitement begin to rise as her mind begins whirling with ideas about how she wants to set up her workspace, Elika muses aloud, I will probably need at least an assistant to handle things like filing paperwork and so on, which, she grins and jokes, would minimize the risk of seeing a side of a certain someone that I have only heard tales about so far."

"Work place rumors, truth or not, always fun to hear about..." Andros said with a cynical grin before shaking his head, he had heard about few rumors about him one that had actually made him laugh when he was alone although one that he gladly shared with Elika as knowing her she'd find this preposterous but also in a way understandable as it wasn't as it he was often with someone. "Apparently I am in the closet, though also a lot are wondering why Katiara is still here considering my overall reputation." Andros was certain that Elika would understand all of those assumption, or whatever rumors, if Andros and Katiara were sleeping together, although from the looks of how he interacted with her it was highly unlikely. "And I will not even start with the whole who actually just can come into my office without any appointment." There were a few, and it was just a handful number of people, mostly it was Mace, or even Horsea, heck even Crystal just like Lily, but also Elika, Councilors of the Mist Order, and just the higher execs of the Government.
"Which reminds me also, don't be surprised if you integrate an alleged list from IT and HR alike." Andros' eyes just closed for a moment as he shook his head about that said list, however they called it. Smirking though and looking at the newest Government employee now, Andros tilted his head slightly on the side and grinned. "I'll give you one guess on who tops the women's list. Don't worry though, apparently from what I heard no one has even come close to capturing her attention, not like you did." Andros was not teasing her at all and hopefully it showed in the tone of his voice, it was just a reassurance, one though he supposed he did not need to make, although perhaps he had caused some embarrassment, but he meant it. Although in the back of his mind, not that it showed currently on his features, even if at first he had been the one to tell the Hapan to get closer to Elika by any means necessary, at first he wasn't highly convinced about the route she had undertaken, but he said nothing of it, if that allowed for them to be closer and for the Hapan to keep watch on Elika also then so be it. Now after three years, with that incident, he had thought that potentially Delaana would leave and perhaps go back to the Consortium to maybe re-offer her services to the Erenada for being who she actually and truly was. But apparently from what he heard, as of course there were a few in the Intelligence Department who knew about this fact, who had purposely redacted everything, the Hapan when she front time to time left Umgul to go to Honoghr, where her brother was located had by her own volition with the help of Nash tried to find where Elika and Lucy had gone off to, or where they were taken.
Perhaps Andros was lost in his thoughts right now, as he had grown silent, and even perhaps he was taking comfort on what Elika had told him about Serrin, he did smile when she mentioned that the Twi'lek was one with the Force now. He wouldn't call himself a Jedi now, but a long time ago, yes he had been, now he doesn't even know what he truly was now. He didn't even know how to qualify his alignment to the Force, probably something he'd remedy. Maybe the next day, now that was a thought. But he was certainly glad for her display of comfort, and even the squeeze that went with it and she was one of those people that did not make him cringe at all for being touched.
Grabbing the cup of coffees that were still sitting around, even if Elika had told him to just stay put and not help out, there was nothing about the coffee cups in that, no? So he cleared those out and just put them aside knowing that once he stepped out of the office for the night, whatever cutlery, plates and anything would be taken care of. He went to sit down in front of his desk while she sat at the edge of it and just looked at her for a moment, quite content that she was definitely looking forward to her new job, that much he knew about her. "What can I, my dear trusted Master Architect, I like calling dibs, and I certainly am liking the fact to be your first client altogether in your new position." Andros chuckled in amusement, "You have carte blanche to hire any one you want, have a staff whatever you need, though as usual they will have to be checked by Intelligence, and if it does raise a flag, I retain the right to veto the hiring from going forward." Andros wasn't the type to micromanage everything, sheesh he despised that, he gave the autonomy to each departments, and sure those sitting atop those departments were people he factually trusted, but it was also his job to make sure that they were safe, not just as the Vice Governor, but because that was just him. "Also your permissions in the building, biometrics and all will have to be updated, however I am not going to ask you to go to the UDF HQ, I'll ask Horsea to come to you, will that be agreeable to you?"
Standing up from his seat, and grabbing her coat, but also his, he held out her coat so she could put it on before putting on his. "But yes, about your suggestion to talk about what I have in mind while on the way to the Lakehouse, definitely can do that. Shall we then, who knows what some people will think for stepping out of my office with you."

Elikapeka laughs when Andros shares some of the rumors that he has heard about himself, shaking her head as she tells him playfully, "Well, I guess that hearing about any rumors that might start circulating around about me once I start working here is just one more thing to look forward to, isn't it? Nodding her head when Andros mentions the lists that the HR and IT departments have compiled, Elika tells him, I believe that list has been mentioned more than once, and, she arches an eyebrow with an amused smile borne from the suspicion she knows where the present conversation will likely lead them to, I am well aware of who is at the top of the women's list, yes."
Shrugging casually and looking upwards while tilting her head to the side as though using body language and expression to humorously say the what-can-I-say that her modesty will not allow her say aloud even if it would only be in jest when Andros, veering down the exact conversational side street she had guessed they would find themselves on sooner or later, shares with her that no one before her had succeeded in capturing Delaana's attention, Elika then lifts her index fingers into the air and moves her left to the right while the right moves to the left to illustrate her correction of what he has said, "It was the other way around, actually, then laughs as she remembers the day she and her Ceesi had first met, telling Andros, I was so captivated and spellbound when I first saw her that I walked right into a chair, nodding with a theatrically pained expression as she goes on, knocked it over, started babbling like I do when I'm nervous, the whole nine yards, then laughs again, crinkling her nose as she muses with another nod, it was a very impressive first impression, I'm sure. And yet, she sighs happily with a radiant smile that makes how happy she is with how things are now between her and Delaana more clear than any words she might try to find to express it would be capable of conveying, somehow we are where we are now," not aware that the level of comfort she always feels when in Andros' company has enabled her to share her feelings with him, even in a predominantly nonverbal way, without embarrassment.
Smiling to herself when she notes that Andros seems to have lost himself in his thoughts for a moment, Elika wonders where it is he has gone in his head but doesn't interrupt him, recognizing, as an introvert herself, the need to sometimes allow one's mind to silently wander alone along its own corridors so that it can arrange things just so or sort through the accumulated bric-a-brac of the day or moment in order to enable its owner to, once the mental housecleaning has been done, go on unburdened by whatever it was their mind felt the need to deal with.
Arching an eyebrow in theatrical consternation when Andros returns from wherever he had gone in his head and starts cleaning up the coffee cups even though she had warned him to let her handle the cleaning up, Elika smiles when he reveals how pleased he is to be her first client as Umgul's Master Architect, then rests her chin in her hand as she considers what sort of staff she might need after he mentions the issue, musing aloud, "I think I would only need a secretary, since she is a workaholic and has never mastered the art of delegation since her insistence on handling everything relating to her projects has never allowed her to dictate anything at all, and then jokingly teases him about his own rather attractive secretary by asking, Does Ms. Tisa have a twin sister by any chance? Nodding with a grateful smile when Andros thoughtfully tells her that Horsea could come to her in order to handle the permission and biometrics updates her new job will require, Elika tells him, That would be perfect, actually, thank you."
Laughing at his return to the subject of rumors as they are getting ready to leave, Elika finishes putting her coat on before smiling mischievously as she walks over to him and puts an arm around his waist and proposes, "Well, why don't we give them something new to talk about then? Walking as close to Andros as her and his own comfort levels permit as they leave his office, Elika giggles and says, Darn it, I should have messed up your hair and buttoned your shirt up wrong or something before we left your office, crinkling her nose as she jokes, Maybe next time."

Andros wasn't surprised at all that Elika did hear about that infamous list indeed, after all a while back after a certain mess up from IT or HR, that said list had been distributed involuntarily to all of the Government agents via intranet. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly really, all of the higher executives of the government were part of that said list. Elika did live with two government execs, it wasn't a surprise that Crystal or more probably Ljiljana would share that fact with their housemate especially with who was up top.
The first encounter between Elikapeka and Delaana was somewhat familiar to him, which was the reason why he had looked at the architect with an expression that said he remembered that. Not fully though, but he did remembering hearing a chair falling outside of this office when Elika took her leave and her lieutenant went in. He did walk out of his office to actually grab that file from the Hapan and handed her a note to give to her boss. He also recalled perfectly about asking Elika back at the Lakehouse if he had to go big brother and warn the Hapan about any mess up, he knew though that was quite unnecessary for in a sense he already knew, more than he would ever say or share. Plus that was three years or so ago. Was that even relevant with what he had come to know about those three following years, and also just how Elika seemed to be happy right now?
Not really wanting to bring that up, what he did or what he didn't do, ordered or whichever, Andros just remained in his thoughts for a bit and tried to weigh the pros and the cons, to which really there was nothing more to be discussed, or be thought about. Fact was: Delaana Wan, who was once a Chume'doro, did not go back to the Consortium in the following years of Elika's disappearance. That just gave Andros enough reason to store and bury that information about the Hapan, at least the order he had given her. After whether Lana wanted to share her real identity with Elika, that was definitely up to her.
Laughing at Elika's question about his own secretary, Andros did look at her with an amused smirk. "She does, as a matter of fact." Andros replied even though he knew it was a joke, though he knew all the reason about it, besides, he was still a guy, despite his predisposition of being by default the person he was, he still had eyes and he was very well aware that Katiara was attractive. "Unfortunately though, her sister with the UDF's R&D, mechanical engineer. So that eye candy will unfortunately remain mine." He teased her back, he was after all just comfortable with her and definitely did not need to put up a facade or anything.
Lifting his arms and looking at her with conspiratorial expression and smile, actually Andros stopped walking momentarily and lifted a finger, before winking at her. Messing up his hair in just whatever disarray it could get, he proceeded with unbuttoning his jacket suit and untucked his shirt before unbuttoning the first two of his polo. "I got you." He told her smirking before opening the door and adopting his usual expression, noticing that the two Epicanthix approached them remaining impartial as ever.
"It'll be the Lakehouse." Andros informed them as he had his arm wrapped around Elika's shoulders and held her close, not really bothered about this at all and knowing that she wouldn't be so bothered either, after all if she was, she would not have been the first one to go with this.
"Copy that, sir." Valaras was the one who had replied and was tapping on his datapad, loading the route to both of the airspeeders. "The route has been copied to your navicomputer. Xyrias and I will be behind you." Before looking at Elika and inclining his head respectfully and glancing at his sister to take their leave unbothered truly by what they just witnessed as in the end it wasn't their place to question or judge at all.
"Thank you, Valaras." Andros' still holding onto Elika, walked with her to the turbolift that would lead them to the private parking lot. He knew that at this time, there were still a few people in the building, he could sense it, now that he was out of the Ysalamir's bubble, and honestly he couldn't care less, plus he also knew that this turbolift had cameras, a reason why Andros leaned closely to her and just pretended to whisper in her ear. "There is a chance that this lift stops a few floors. How many do you think will actually not step inside when they see the both of us?" Pulling his head back and looking at her with a faint smirk, and looking at the floor indicators, thankfully the siblings did not take this lift either.

Having playfully pretended to pout, complete with her lower lip curling up and out, when Andros had revealed that while Ms. Tisa was a twin - with her sister not in the same profession and therefore ineligible for candidacy as either a secretary or eye candy - he would be the sole beneficiary, save for any visitors to his office while Ms. Tisa was present, of the eye candy, Elikapeka laughs when Andros, taking his cue from her suggestions about how they could make their portrayal of having just emerged from his after a tryst more convincing should they ever feel the need to repeat the performance in the future, goes about adjusting his appearance accordingly. Shaking her head and running her fingers through her long red hair to muss it up, Elika then removes her spectacles before Andros opens the door, draping his arm over her shoulders and holding her close. Elika manages not to giggle as he tells the Epicanthix siblings where they will be going, and has to subtly hold her breath to keep from succumbing to the giggle fit that continues building up inside her when Valaras - who along with his sister show no discernible signs of a reaction to her and Andros' disheveled state and closeness, almost as if this is not the first time Andros has emerged from his office in such a state in the company of someone, which she would love to tease him about but cannot without breaking character - inclines his head respectfully despite her and Andros' behavior and dishevelment, which, fortunately for Elika, allows her to answer just as wordlessly by simply inclining her own head by way of replying to the Epicanthix.
Quietly giggling once they are alone in the turbolift, Elika has to, by turning slightly to the side and standing on her tiptoes, put an arm around his neck to reach his ear - thereby further enhancing the bit of theater they are amusing themselves with - as she whispers her reply to Andros' question about whether anyone that happens to be waiting on one of the floors the turbolift stops on would get inside with them, telling him, "Five credits says no one dares to step inside when they see us, and then rests her head on his shoulder as she lets some of the remaining giggles get out quietly, before spotting the camera on the wall above and behind them, whispering into his ear through her renewed giggles, You're explaining this if any of our friends see the holovid footage from that camera," even though the act was her idea.
Having stopped on two floors only for the beings waiting for the turbolift to decide to wait for the next turbolift, Elika manages to stay in character until she is in the passenger seat of their airspeeder and in no danger of being observed by the Epicanthix twins that will be following them to the Lakehouse, only then giving in to giggles that soon turn into unrestrained laughter that has tears running down her cheeks before it finally begins to subside.
Taking a handkerchief from the pocket of her coat and wiping the tears from her face, Elika says, "I know I probably shouldn't have enjoyed that so much . . . but it was pretty hilarious, returning her handkerchief to its pocket and her spectacles to their proper place as, having seen the faces of the employees waiting for the turbolift on the floors they stopped on in the mirror behind her and Andros, she asks, Did you see the looks on their faces? Too funny. Taking her brush from her backpack and doing what she can about her hair, Elika can't resist the urge for one more joke, looking over at Andros through the curtain of her hair with her best sleepy eyed impression and breathy, childlike voice, Was it as good for you as it was for me, Mr. Vice Governor?"
With the last joke she hopes she will feel the need to make out of her system, Elika takes her datapad from her backpack purse in case she feels the need to make notes or doodles while she and Andros start talking about their Raceways project as she asks him, "Okay, down to business now my dear very first client as Umgul's newly appointed Master Architect. Start by just telling me what your overall vision for Raceways is, what you want visitors to feel when they first see them."

Andros settling himself behind the driver's wheel after he had shut his door moments after he left Elika in. He had all the way down sported that usual expression of his, glaring at the people who had been waiting for a lift and had decided to not take it. He knew that rumor might probably spread like wildfire inside the government since they did stop at the level where HR was located, and also were security was at. But with the way he was probably holding Elika then and there, just close to her, his face positioned a certain way that he looked like he had it buried at the crook of her neck, plus the giggling from her, he was certain that there was no denying on where the assumption of the people had caught them would go.
Dropping the act altogether and leaning his head back laughing, really laughing, he actually couldn't remember how long it had been since he truly laughed this way, and how much he was amused. "Oh it was pretty hilarious, and I might have thrown a few glares in their direction too." Andros admitted to her before grabbing those said 5 "7 from his pocket and handed it to her after he had looked at her expression that came along with that question of hers. "Positively one of the best releases ever, my dear Master Architect." Laughing again and nudging her shoulder gently he smiled warmly but also knowingly. "Thank you for that, one of the best laughter I have had in a while." Andros told her sincerely as he started up the airspeeder and turned on the navicomputer that laid out the route that was laid out for him by the Non siblings.
"By the way, Elika. You have changed too, and it suits you as well."
It was all in the subtlety he guessed, a while ago he wasn't actually certain if she would have considered doing that stunt they had just pulled. A while ago, perhaps he, too, wouldn't be the kind to even pull that stunt. He was definitely taking that change of hers as something that was probably mainly due to Elika's blossoming relation with the Hapan, to which he reassured her nonetheless. "Don't worry, you and I both know that our friends know better than to believe those said rumors whether they see those camera feeds or not. They know you, they also know me. And that is all that matters, right?"
Bringing up the airspeeder after checking their surroundings, Andros who looked at the rearview mirror fixed his hair before noticing the Epicanthix far back, he guessed that this definitely was going to be a pretty comfortable journey hopefully as he started leaving the parking lot that was when he started to speak. "I actually want to bring back that sort of excitement that Umgul once had about the raceways, this planet is known for gambling too, so raceways, casinoes with accommodation around but also businesses that would fit in that criteria of being a touristy planet too." Andros explained thoughtfully as he maneuvered the airspeeder on the way to her home.

Andros got to his office early in the morning, even before the break of dawn, to send a few messages to some people. But before that, he had copied the notes from his datapad to his holoterminal here at his office to have the bullet points of the brainstorming that occurred last night. He was glad that finally that project was going to proceed, and from what he recalled Elika was the one who wanted to talk with the farmers, and therefore, he added another note there to send her the info of the ones representing them.
Finally typing those messages, one to Crystal, another to Mace, and finally one to Horsea.
He figured that would do the trick for Hapes, at least concerning both of the Kiffars there, and to Crystal it was about Elika's salary as Master Architect.
Finally looking at the window, Andros sighed softly, he figured that probably this was a good time as any to contact his therapist...
A few hours later, after cutting his comm with his therapist, Andros had made his way to the Academy and placed the box he had retrieved there on his desk. Glancing at it, he looked at it and opened it finding both of his lightsabers there...
Completely unaware of the happenings outside of his office, or the shifts in the Force only when he was notified externally that the Academy was under attack, Andros looked at the alert, and figured he try to sense what was happening. Uncertain at first but... Remembering his talks this morning, Andros stood up from his seat and walked out of the office to get out of the sphere of influence of the Ysalamir, and expanded his awareness to the Force to get a sense of what was going on. It was easy for him to pinpoint Franz, but it also seemed that Ayla was there.
His brother and Mace, that he had no idea but there definitely was a dark presence at the Academy. Andros furrowed his eyebrows and probably just stayed there, Katiara along with the Epicanthix looking at him to see if he had any orders or requests, but Andros definitely said nothing at all and just kept staring glaring in the direction of where he could feel Franz.
Well... Andros did not know how long he stood there, but one thing was certain, he had a smile on the corner of his lips when he felt how potent the Light Side of the Force had been at the Academy to the point that both of those Dark Siders also disappeared at the same time. Andros truthfully had no idea what occurred there, but one thing he was certain about, the threat had been dealt with, and he just walked back to his office with a relaxed expression...
