Considering that she had done her part, brought the file here to the Vice-Governor or his secretary per Crystal's request, Lana was about to address Katiara but she noticed that just right before the Lieutenant entered the office someone else came out. The person she was unfamiliar with was apologizing, Lana wondered why, although she shook her head with a friendly smile to tell her not to worry about it.
"Watch o-..." Lana had begun to say but it was too late and she didn't warn the woman soon enough. She wanted to help but at the same time she didn't want to somehow aggravate the matter so she only stayed put and listened momentarily before smiling again and walking over towards Elika. "I apologize for interrupting you ma'am, but would you like some coffee? I can get it for you." Lana asked with a friendly tone, yes she might have been Crystal's PA but Lana also knew that not a lot of people could have a one on one with the Vice-Governor of Umgul, unless they were politicians, assistants of others from a random department here, or just a close friend of his.
"Please don't hesitate if you if you do need anything, I'll gladly get it for you." Lana said sincerely preferring to not get into her personal space for too long seeing as she observed that the woman right before her seemed to be anxious. Lana smiled one last time before returning to her spot, which was by Andros' secretary and just waited for a few until she noticed that the office door was being opened.
"Vice-Governor Vyridian." She respectfully greeted him before noticing that he was gesturing for the file she had brought up, she took it from the counter and presented it to him before getting a letter from him with the instruction. "Of course, sir." Inclining her head respectfully before turning on her heels though she noticed that dubious gaze from Andros towards the woman she was unfamiliar with. That settled it, close friend. "Ma'am." Lana smiled warmly as she bade her goodbye and she turned to look at Kate winking at her before making her way towards the turbolift to get back to the financial department with the note to give to Crystal...

When Franz had pulled over in the parking lot of the Mist Government building, he removed his cloth and tucked it under his seat before getting out of the hovercar. He had a more serious expression, he smiled less and he was continuously alert by the currents that surrounded him. He could depict several familiar signatures in this building but at least once he got into the turbolift to head towards Andros' office, it directly took him there without question and there was no checks on who he was and what he was doing here despite the constant security at the lowest floor.
Franz was wearing a simple white shirt along with brown pants and black boots, his lightsaber was tucked by his lower back, even though he did not look the part of being a Jedi, everyone knew him to be one and that there was a reason why he was currently here. When the turbolift finally opened, he noticed a blonde woman making his way towards him as he walked out of the turbolift and he could see Elika sitting there, Andros glancing at her and the Lieutenant right there next to him. He might have already announced the news, so he guessed that starting now, he was taking the relay. It wasn't a task for him, nor really was it imposed to him, Atlantis had offered it and he had gladly accepted it because he really might have needed a change from all the teachings and some restless nights.
Before he announced himself though, he placed a hand on the turbolift's door and glanced at the woman that had just entered. "Please hold the lift for a few moments." He requested softly. He just hoped that she wasn't in a hurry but maybe Elika wanted and needed to get out of there considering that he felt her slightly anxious. Releasing the door after getting a positive reply from the woman, Franz walked towards Andros and therefore Elika with a faint grin, although his smile widened a little when he laid his eyes on Elika since he had not seen her in a while. The last time they did see one another, it seemed so long ago.
"Here as you have recommended for me to be, so that the Lieutenant can finally have that break of hers." Franz told Andros before glancing at the Lieutenant bowing respectfully. "Lieutenant Lyn." Standing up straight again before looking at Elika this time. "I was told you along with Crystal and Lily were headed to lunch but you were maybe going to make a pit stop in one of their offices." Franz placed his hands behind his back and blinked once breathing softly, it was actually nice to be seeing the architect after a while and yes maybe he had changed, he became too somber for a lot of people that had not been used to him that way after so many years. But in essence, maybe it was time for him to maybe grow up too, and maybe he did that too extremely.
"Welcome back, by the way Elika, it's good to see you." He told her sincerely with a faint smile before glancing at his side noticing that the turbolift was still being held. "I'll be right there, if you two need to speak further." He politely said gesturing to Andros and Elika, he gave them that privacy they might need and he glanced at the Lieutenant thoughtfully. "Anything I should know, or you always did it as you go?" Franz asked her curiously while being midway of the turbolift and the office.

Lucy nods when Andros has finished speaking, then shakes her head to indicate that she has no questions. Keeping her excitement about the unexpected vacation stowed beneath her thoroughly professional exterior, Lucy salutes, saying, "Thank you, sir," before turning smartly on her heel and exiting the office.
Lucy doesn't need to wait long for Delgrave to turn up, and when, after they exchange bows, he asks if there is anything he should know Lucy almost settles for shaking her head and starting her leave. Her professionalism, however, won't allow such negligence, and even though she imagines Delgrave knows everything she can tell him, she would prefer to err on the side of caution and adherence to procedure. Motioning for Delgrave, who seems more subdued and intent than she remembers him from past encounters, to follow her outside the waiting area, Lucy, who takes her job seriously despite her occasional grumbling, makes sure that they are in no danger of being overheard, pitching her voice low, as, guessing that Delgrave knows about the confidentiality clause that comes with his post, she starts to make the standard report when turning a principle over to someone else's care. "Analysis of Hekekia's lifestyle, behavioral and social patterns, known associates, and career suggest that the highest potential threat to her safety comes from her known associates, which put her at risk of being collateral damage in any potential attack on those associates, which range from the Vice Governor, her housemates - both also high ranking government personnel, to members of the Mist Order - with all of the enemies that come with being Jedi or associated with Jedi. Probability of such attacks, at this time and here on Umgul, is rated low however. Her current work related projects and the individuals or organizations involved have been put discreetly through the usual security checks and analyses, with the threat of any danger to her resulting from the projects rated at extremely low. Analysis suggests that her social behavior patterns pose no danger at this time. Primary potential threat actually comes from Hekekia's psychological state. She has a personal and family history of depression, and her psych profile strongly suggests she displays the symptoms of undiagnosed and untreated social anxiety disorder. She has one documented suicide attempt, occurring several years ago. In my personal opinion, Hekekia's risk for depression increases with her anxiety levels, and her recent workload has called for her to be in socially stressful situations more frequently than usual. I have seen no evidence of suicidal ideation, however, and believe that her return to her support network is likely to alleviate the depression relatively quickly. Hekekia's stated intention is to work from her home studio for the time being, which I believe will decrease her anxiety levels to her norm. The only other thing I can think of that may be relevant is that Hekekia is not, in my estimation, security conscious at all, ever. Do you have any questions for me, Master Delgrave?"
Elikapeka looks up from her datapad when the blonde woman that had been speaking with Ms. Tisa earlier asks if she would like any coffee, offering to get her some should it be the case that she does. Smiling nervously and reaching up with her right hand, thumb keeping her sleeve in place, to brush her hair behind her ear, Elika says, "Oh, um, no, thank you, but no. Looking down since maintaining eye contact with those she does not know is difficult for her, Elika adds, I just had some. Some caf that is, but thank you, and continues to look down as, after the woman offers to get her anything she might need, she shakes her head and smiles as she says, Oh, um, thank you, but I'm . . . I mean I don't need anything. Not now, but thank you, again, and even manages to look up briefly as she adds an unnecessary and redundant, Thank you."
Taking her spectacles off and rubbing the bridge of her nose, mentally smacking her forehead and reminding herself that she has demonstrated, at least once or twice in the past, an ability to not make a fool of herself and should therefore theoretically be capable of doing so on a semi-regular basis, Elika looks over when she hears Franz speaking with Andros. Putting her spectacles back on, Elika stands, sliding her backpack purse over her shoulder after dropping her datapad into it and, after putting her trench coat and scarf over her arm, walks over as Franz greets her. Smiling, clearly pleased to see him, Elika says, "I was just going to meet Crystal in her office now," when he reveals he already knows of her lunch plans.
Frowning slightly after she nods to let Franz, who seems far more subdued than he normally is, know that she will wait for him to attend to what it is he needs to attend to, Elika looks over at Andros in his office and nearly steps inside to ask whether anything has happened, deciding at the last moment to simply ask Franz when she has the chance to do so. "I'll comm or message you about dinner," Elika mouths silently to Andros instead, guessing that he would prefer not to be hugged or anything overly affectionate or informal now that they are not alone and settling for waving a good-bye to keep from interrupting him further. Returning to the window she had looked out of earlier to wait for Franz, Elika looks outside and, momentarily forgetting her earlier bout with anxiety and the lingering embarrassment it left her with, thinking about the change in Franz's behavior, remembers what Atlantis had said. It seems an apt description of Franz's demeanor thusfar, and Elika wonders what it was that engendered the change in him as she continues to wait patiently for him to finish speaking with her lieutenant.

Andros saluted in return to the Lieutenant, and that was only because he still had that military background and he still had that habit to do so whenever a talk was over and done with an officer. Also because it was his form of respect towards Lucy. Inclining his head son after he had done his exchange and talk with Delaana Wan, Andros watch her leave for a moment before smirking inwardly because he could feel Franz's presence nearby. Glancing back at Elika impassively before looking at the man approaching them, Andros again inclined his head towards his cousin.
Andros patted Franz's back slightly and did not even need to tell Franz to really watch out for Elika or anything of that kind. He knew Franz before and he knew Franz now, he had turned out to be very diligent with the tasks he had been handed. Franz did change in his demeanor that was a fact but Andros also knew that he could count on the guy and would gladly put his life into his hands demeanor change or not. Andros watched him go to have a talk with the Lieutenant and he glanced momentarily at Elika before inclining his head slightly at her mouthed words.
Now holding onto the file that had just been handed to him by Lana, he unsealed it and glanced at the figures inside of it. There was no way that he would clearly and plainly state that the funding was from the government and there was no way he wanted that hassle that the government funded everything and therefore it could bend to its own wishes any reports.
There was no way, he knew he had to talk with someone about this matter, he tilted his head from side to side to un-stiffen it and he closed the file again resealing it with his own seal this time. He knew that he either had to see Mace or the Deputy Director about the possibility of creating a ghost corporation that would be so tightly obscured but backed up by different hearsays from different planets that maybe it would work.
Standing behind his dataterminal, Andros brought up a new encrypted message and started to type.
Sending that message soon after, Andros took a deep breath and sat down on his seat. He had to find a way to mask this budget, somehow. Maybe he should have a talk with Raan too sooner or later. Glancing back at his terminal, Andros read some reports occurring around the city and he took a deep breath and closed his eyes momentarily...

Franz did indeed follow Lucy out of the waiting area and he faced her his back turned in the others' direction, only so he could cover the Lieutenant while she spoke. He didn't know who was and who wasn't a lip reader here, he knew Andros to be one but the others, no idea, so he made sure to window Lucy as she briefed him about Elika's case.
He listened with attention, that went without saying and he already knew that Elika, in a case of a threat would be collateral damage due to her closeness with a lot of them. Them being either Mist Order Jedi or even higher ups in the government. He also knew about her anxiety problems but what really surprised him the most was when he found out that she had attempted suicide once. Franz did not let his surprise transpire on his features at all and just kept looking at the Lieutenant stoically and silently. He might have been a marble right there but at least him blinking a few times was indicative of the fact that he was paying close attention and that he was retaining everything Lucy was telling him.
"No. No questions, Lieutenant Lyn." Franz said with a faint nod as he relaxed his posture and brought his hands back along his body. "The info you have given me have been helpful, so thank you very much." He added on sincerely and while before he would caused a big fuss and made a big deal out of everything that had been told to him concerning a good friend of his, now he only had in mind that he was trusted to see this through and he had been trusted to watch over her.
"Enjoy your leave and I won't let anything happen to her." Franz reassured her, because after all, Franz wasn't Elika's primary bodyguard he was only subbing now, in the end Lucy would take over again like she always had done. Bowing respectfully to the Lieutenant, Franz turned on his boots to find Elika in the waiting room and by the windows, he stood right next to her and looked down the window momentarily.
"The mist, it never does get old, doesn't it?" Franz smirked briefly before glancing at Elika this time with a faint nod. "I don't know what you have been told, or if you were told anything at all, but I am replacing Lucy while she takes a long needed break." Franz rubbed his forearm and looked back down towards the mist and blinked once. Part of him felt compelled to tell her that he really did miss her that it has been a while but to him, those sounded like echoes in the depth of his mind and right now.
"Should we head to where Crystal is?" He suggested thoughtfully especially that the blonde woman had been holding the lift for him and she might have been busy too, whoever she was really. He had no idea and maybe he should make a trip to the Intelligence Department to gather all the intels about the people in this building and everything that would be of use to him.

Lucy nods when Delgrave thanks her for the information she had provided, staying in character and resisting the urge to tell him that he'd better not let anything happen to her principle on his watch, instead saying, "Roger that, Master," and then returning his bow before, now officially on leave, losing her military bearing - as much as it is possible for her to at any rate - and putting her hands in the side pockets of her flight jacket and beginning to make her way from the building to her speeder as she starts thinking about how she would like to spend her unexpected vacation.
Elikapeka shakes her head in agreement, looking at Franz's reflection in the window rather than turning towards him, when he says the mist never gets old. Elika has often tried to paint a scene that somehow manages to capture the many emotions that the mist is able to engender within her, but has never been able to successfully trap such an image on canvas. "Andros told me," Elika says when Franz officially informs her that he is taking her lieutenant's place. Even though Andros had not mentioned that Franz was the candidate Atlantis had in mind, Elika had concluded that he was when he arrived.
When Franz asks if they should make their way to Crystal's office, Elika nods as she smiles and says, "That is the plan, and then turns, motioning for him to go ahead of her as she says, After you, Master Delgrave." As she follows Franz, Elika wonders if his uncharacteristic demeanor can be attributed to the fact he has been assigned to act as her body guard, or if she is simply witnessing the seriousness that Atlantis had mentioned; and wondering, too, if the fact they have been put into the roles of protector and protected means that she should interact any differently with him as a result. Though she knows the decision is not entirely her own, Elika decides that she will not let the fact that Franz will be watching over her cause her to treat him any differently; he's her friend and if there is anything she can do for him, assuming that he needs anything - people change, she knows that, but the change in Franz seems sudden to her - she will be sure that he knows she is willing to offer what she can.
Elika steps into the turbolift after Franz, managing to smile a greeting without blushing when she sees the blonde woman that had been speaking with Ms. Tisa. Reaching out to press the button for the floor Crystal's office is on, Elika asks the woman, "What floor do you need?"

Lana was requested by the man to hold the lift. She had never seen him before but she knew that he might have been important. To access this floor, to just approach the Vice-Governor that way without insecurities. Definitely important. Lana stood by the lift's doors and waited patiently. Now that she thought about it, it was really the first time that she had seen that much people visiting the Vice-Governor and to think that even the Chief Financial Officer had amended her instruction and just leave the file to Andros' secretary if he was busy... Lana only stood motionless there until she noticed both the man and the woman, whom she was unfamiliar with to begin with, walk in her direction.
Smiling warmly and standing aside to let them in, Lana was about to reach for the number pads before she retracted her hand noticing the woman reaching for it too. "And here I was about to ask you the same thing but..." Noticing where Elika's fingertip was hovering, Lana smiled warmly. "It seems like we are heading for the same floor." Stepping back to give them enough room, Lana trucked her hair behind her ear and waited for the doors to close and take all of them to their desired floor...

Upon receiving Horsea's reply to his request, Andros noticed something; Mace's name had been demoted into the carbon copy section of the message. It wasn't that surprising considering that Mace more than anyone like he had said previously to Elikapeka had more leeway than all of them combined and she always did things that most did not know about but he knew that it were important matters. Who seriously could fake being that busy? Not him, even if he tried. Also he knew that Mace wasn't really the kind to pretend to be busy when obviously she always were and that, that just made him wonder if often times a lot of them asked too much of her...
Either way, she always came and went whenever and Andros also knew that Mace trusted Horsea to speak for herself if it was necessary. He had been a witness of that multiple times and the Deputy Director's presence was already good enough anyways. He was sure that they could brainstorm about this matter. Provided that nothing highly important was pending onto her table.
Andros finished his coffee and placed it on the tray before he stood up to exit his office to bring it to the front desk. He then notified to hold all of his calls, appointment and anything else for that matter until he and Horsea were done with their meeting. At least that would start when she arrived.
Getting a confirmation, Andros returned to his office and sat back down to his seat leaning back against it while he thought about Elika's earlier visit and he had been very happy to see her that was undeniable, he also was glad to know that she was fine more or less but really he was really hoping that she would be more than fine soon especially that she would be spending her time with her friends. It felt like they were still in the city and he briefly smiled at the prospect of having a dinner with her whenever she was available. Now that was actually something he was looking forward to.
Right now though, he still had that important matter to deal with so he was waiting patiently for Horsea knowing that she could be held up from time to time by the officers back in the intelligence department considering her position there...

Horsea Aestrea, the current Deputy Director of Intelligence for Umgul, had only just exited the turbolift when it pinged to tell her that she had arrived at her desired location. She wasn't dressed in her usual Guardian attire, no she had dropped that a while ago unless it were necessary for her to be as such, but instead she had opted for a very somber classic corporate suit. If she did not have any markings on her face, she wouldn't have been perceived as a Kiffar, but just a regular person, who potentially worked for the government here. . . But of course, it was more than that, and it was more than she had ever bartered for really.
Nevertheless on her way towards the government building, considering that her department was completely at the opposite of this building, Horsea had been handled a file by one of the operatives. It was nothing sensitive, otherwise she would have said to leave that at her office and she would take a look at it once she was done with a meeting. Upon glancing at the file, Horsea noticed the status of that project the Vice-Governor had required of her. It was no easy feat at all, that was for sure considering that they did not necessarily have all the required equipment to outfit the entire city with non-obtrusive cameras, so the status was held up momentarily at seventy-five percent and she knew for a fact that if those areas weren't covered quickly, something might happen.
Closing the file as she walked confidently towards Andros' office, Horsea inclined her head respectfully towards Katiara Tisa and just made her way towards the office. Before entering it, she gave it a gentle nod as knowing Andros, she knew that he was already expecting her. Although she currently wasn't with Mace but they all knew that Mace was always busy and if she felt that her presence here was needed, she would have been here, right now though, no show. So Andros would have to settle for Horsea. . .
Finally entering the office, Horsea inclined her head respectfully and looked at the Vice-Governor placidly, she knew that he was exhausted and she also knew that until further notice, he was the one currently in charge of mostly everything with Raan tending to personal matters.
"I am not sure if Mace is going to show or not," Began Horsea thoughtfully, as she really did not know, she might have been close to Mace but everyone knew that despite their closeness, Horsea wasn't privy to everything that concerned the once Kiffar Grandmaster. "But you wished to see me to discuss something highly sensitive and important." Still clutching onto that file, she decided to just present it on his table just right in front of him. She knew that upon his consultation he would know what that was all about. . .
For now though, she waited patiently to hear what he actually wanted to talk about.

Andros wasn't the type of guy to just wander to and fro while in his office, he was more the type to be reading a few reports sent his way, and he was also known to have been consuming plenty of coffee lately. It has been two days since he hadn't exactly slept and despite the fact that he still indeed left the government building at some point during the early morning to freshen, he had come back here and still did not log out from the building, did not see any other people besides Elika for the day because quite honestly, he wasn't particularly in the mood to see people beside a select few and right now, one of those few was Horsea.
He pressed a button on his desk command to bring down a chair and gestured for her to be at ease and to just take a seat. Opposite to her, he stood up and since he had conveniently asked for a coffee thermos from Ms. Tisa and some extra cups, he poured some coffee into the cup and placed it in front of Horsea on his desk acknowledging the fact that Mace might not show up. Pouring some coffee into his cup again, Andros sat down and noticed that there was a file there on his desk with the intelligence department logo, but before he even started to consult that, he just looked at Horsea nodding once and slightly.
"You being here is already good enough, Horsea." Andros said sincerely, sure it would have been a good thing if Mace was here too but he couldn't deny the fact that Mace was the busy type and if she couldn't pull away from her current task right now, then he wasn't going to fault her for that. Andros knew Mace for having served with her back in the days, he knew how the one who used to be, and still was for him, the Kiffar Grandmaster operated. Mace Jhiera Vos never pretended to be busy because that wasn't her at all, Mace Jhiera Vos was always working onto something and even though that something eluded him right now because he actually had no prerogative to know this and that about everyone, he still trusted her unconditionally.
Andros finally opened the file and glared at the data in there, he knew that it wasn't anyone's fault at all but just the crumble of several companies in the galaxy, the data was still not satisfying to him and that was just not good especially with the few reports that had come to his attention about the crimes occurring in the city. "Do you think there is a way, without anyone knowing that it was the government, to increase the funds for the police department, for everything that concern civilian safety in the planet?" Andros finally asked. There was no way he wanted for everyone to perceive that the government had everything in its pocket, and with the fact that they seemed to be spending less lately towards their own military, and he found himself more and more tasking the financial to inject some funds into the population's well being, this matter came up to his priority. Sure, the government did grant a fund to the police department but currently he felt that maybe it wasn't enough at all.
Before he could go on with his train of thoughts though, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes briefly and just turned around to grab something from the printer and he presented it to Horsea just right in front of her. He knew that she was quite aware of those things and he knew that it was also partially his fault in a way since he couldn't just deliver just yet on the raceways project. But the crime rate in the city was rising and that was something that he was starting to despise. "I want those groups to entirely disappear and I cannot do anything about it, nor can the Mist Order because it's not a Force issue, only the police can and only the crime units can put an end to all of that." Andros said straight to the point, sure he had fully embraced the political life now and it has been a while since he had not even touched his lightsabers, the only thing he had been using lately were tonfas and his lightsabers were actually stored in the academy for his own piece of mind, although he had retrieved the kasha crystal from one of his lightsaber to help him keep his focus and meditate whenever he needed to clear his mind of things.

Horsea had taken a seat when it came down from the ceiling and she thanked Andros with a grateful nod when he gave her some coffee. . . She sat straight despite being told to be at ease, because that was how she usually was, always sitting straight and confident in a way. It has been a while now that she became the Deputy Director of the Intelligence Department, and even though at first she wasn’t certain that she really fit that job, little by little she got that sense of independence, the sense of being her own boss too in a way, but never she forgot who she was and where she was coming from.
Although lately, she knew that she had to pull away slightly from her original chain of command, well in this case it was really her brother, because of that matter that kept placing her in the middle and she despised being put in the middle especially in a relationship where she knew that Forcias might thrive and get his own happiness. For however long, she did not know but if he could have that here and now and in return be accepted for who he truly was, then she was glad for him, she was actually happy for him, and the fact that Honoros wasn’t, that clearly was enough to cause her to pull away for a while.
Horsea took the cup of coffee and sipped her drink, Andros knew that she liked it black especially when it was in this kind of meetings. Now came the part that was actually on his mind, a way to increase the funds of the UPD as a whole without knowing that the extra cash came from the government. . . She had a few ideas yes but maybe it wouldn’t necessarily be needed.
She could see that Andros was exhausted, there were so many things lately that he had been overseeing, so many things that he put into effect and maybe he had not really thought about the easy way when he had been thinking about tough things lately. It was a wonder how he could still be up and still be here and not resting.
Not wanting to sound like she was lecturing him, because that wasn’t her intention, Horsea looked at him with a warm expression understanding exactly what he wanted to be done and how probably it could be done. Considering what she had just read from that piece of paper he had shown her, it might be a tentative route to go with.
“The population, or whoever else do not necessarily look at the figures,” Horsea began to tell him with a faint smile before she briefly tapped her lips with her index finger to organize her thoughts clearly and simply in a way. “You could send the chiefs of each department/ division, what have you, a message requesting to see them and offer what you have in mind,” Although Horsea smiled briefly. “Or maybe in your case, tasking someone to see them, the PR maybe to relay the message, and maybe they will actually get the courage to ask and not send a lobbyist here to do the job.” Those were suggestions, but still those types of records weren’t going to go on data terminals, but on papers considering how Andros had been operating lately too anyways.
“Either way, what I am currently suggesting right now, is to actually just reach out to them and ask if they actually do need anything, after I do understand that you do want to help but it has to come from an offer or supply and they answer with their demand.” Horsea knew that Andros would understand that analogy, he had after all been teaching himself with the laws of economics. . .
And if that wasn’t agreeable to him for now, she still had a few ideas running through her mind.

Andros had his fingers intertwining with one another as his elbows rested onto the armrest of his seat. He was listening attentively to what suggestions Horsea had been providing and even if he still had that deadly stare on his features, or even if he was looking like he was bored and preferred to be doing something else than to talk about politics right now, Horsea knew him enough to know that this was his usual stare and he always looked at people this way, more often than not depending the circumstances. Right now though it was for a serious matter, so he had that dark expression on his features.
At one part of her statement, he could not help but to sneer at that, him meeting people of each divisions to present his proposal to them? Yeah right, as if that was going to happen, but thankfully Horsea amended that statement and that caused his to smirk briefly because she knew, that was a given, she just knew that he despised dealing with people, or at least he dealt with them in case of dire emergency, and this wasn't that much of an emergency but just a torn on his plans, that crimes were still happening in the city and that drugs and gambling were present too.
The moment he lowered his hands, actually that wasn't a bad idea, just keeping it simple and just making it sure that they had everything, but who was he going to send? Sure that PR of the government but really, Andros didn't really like the person and there was no way he was going to entrust this to whatever the name of the PR was. He was now clearly stuck in a rut...
Great, just great... Thought he as he somewhat relaxed his features and let out a defeated sigh before he shook his head. Supply and demand, that actually spoke to him and very intimately due to the fact that he had been studying those mechanisms and it had started when he got the raceways' management... Still though, those were closed so that was impacting a little on the current budget but not as much as he had anticipated. That proved at least that he could always be wrong, he could often be wrong anyways but then again he never admitted it fully until he was cornered without an escape.
"Thank you, Horsea." Andros said with a faint nod before he picked up the piece of paper and the file that she had brought along with her. That percentage on that file was fine but that wasn't good enough at the same time, so he looked at her over the file and asked. "What's the current ETC on this?" Andros lowered the file and took a deep breath before closing the file and handing it back to her just in case she would need it in the near future. He knew that the Intelligence Department was doing the best it could considering what might have happened with its suppliers that were all offworld but clearly, this galaxy was vast enough that surely there was still a company that was functional, right?
It wasn't the budget that was lacking because the military had one of the highest allocated budget and that included the Intelligence Department but really what was happening in the damn galaxy for everything to just crumble like a sandcastle. Andros lifted his hand and looked at Horsea. "I'll try to find another way and maybe find a tech engineer planetside to recreate some of those devices." Andros said somewhat dismissively, he was going to do that considering that he knew Horsea always had a lot to juggle with and he was sure that he had been taking enough of her time, so he stood up and looked at her gratefully. "Thank you for that first idea, and if that doesn't work, I might pick your brain again in the future..."

Smiling warmly when Andros thanks her, Horsea shook her head to tell him that it is quite unnecessary really, she had not done anything that important to be given a thanks. But knowing how Andros usually did not thank people much, Horsea stopped shaking her head and finally inclined her head before saying, “You are welcome.” In a sincere tone and expression knowing that Andros had been overworked and she understood his want and need to ask for some advice about this or that matter.
At least hope wasn’t lost for him, he still requested help when it was necessary but he was very selective about that. . . That much she knew.
“Not really sure about the exact, but hopefully for the estimation over the next month.” Replied Horsea thoughtfully, although she wasn’t holding her breath on that really considering the current economic conjecture galaxy wide, with the problems that multiple companies had encountered. . .
Before she could go on though, Horsea felt someone approaching, and she was sure that even Andros would feel that person considering that not many could access this floor unless they had the expressed permission to just come in and go without an appointment.
When the door of the Vice-Governor’s office opened, Ayla had been standing behind it and she entered the office without uttering a single word just yet. Clearly, this was something important otherwise she wouldn’t even think about barging in this way when Andros was in the middle of a meeting but considering that Ayla had in mind to go see Horsea over the other building, she was fortunate enough to have picked up Horsea’s thoughts next to Andros.
“Forgive the interruption. . .” Began Ayla, it was quite late at night and honestly this couldn’t wait until the next day. First things first though, her attention was onto Andros and she looked at him seriously. “Several homicides occurred in the city. . .” Noticing a piece of paper on Andros’ desk, she placed her index finger onto that organigram right there. “He was the victim along with several others but survivors pointed in your direction as the culprit.” Ayla stood back to her fullest and placed her hand up. She knew that she wasn’t the kind to mince words but why would she do that with Andros anyways? He always preferred a straight and blunt approach.
“They know it wasn’t you because your biometrics access showed you here during the time of the crime.” Explained Ayla before glancing meaningfully in Horsea’s direction, she noticed that the Deputy Director had her eyes wide open and she even glanced at her datapad noticing no alert from a certain breach unless Mace or whoever else she knew had accessed it themselves, but that was impossible. . .
Horsea furrowed her eyebrows and took a deep breath understanding that the biometrics might have been hacked and that if Ayla, or Mace or even Atlantis needed some data from that, they would ask her personally. The three of them never retrieved that data without her knowing beforehand anyways.
“Excuse me. . .” Muttered Horsea as she stood up from her seat and knew that she had to do something about that. “Vice-Governor, Colonel.” Inclining her head to take her leave, Horsea turned around to head out of Andros’ office and thus giving Ayla and Andros that privacy.
Ayla looked over her shoulder and waited for the door to close before she looked back at Andros with a knowing expression. “I was asked to warn you by Mace. . .” Ayla explained before tilting her head on the side thoughtfully. “She and your brother are currently investigating those allegations but the current investigators know that you did not do it due to your presence in this building the whole time the crimes occurred.” She carried on with a knowing expression before adding on that final statement that still rang to her mind from Mace.
“Mace also asked me to tell you to not even interfere with the investigation and to not even do anything that you may regret. . .”

The next month... Considering the collapse of several companies around the galaxy, that was good enough for him. Andros knew that he could no longer place any orders to their current suppliers because everything seemed to be in shambles. He wasn't happy about that, it was a fact and it showed with his locked jaw and slightly gritting teeth. He knew that Horsea wouldn't take that personally, at least he was hoping she wouldn't, but he knew that she could read between the lines and he was certain that she knew him enough to know that if he really was unhappy with her or her lack of actions, he would have already sent her away.
Andros was about to thank her again for the update but he did not quite get to his thanks for he felt that Ayla was approaching, Andros looked towards the door and the moment Mace's cousin walked in, he knew that this wasn't a social call at all. The Jedi never did a social call, at least on this planet, if and when it was for a hangout, they would have sent a holomessage but not this time and not tonight when he clearly saw Ayla's expression on her features.
He had that imperceptible expression at least until he found out the reason of Ayla's visit, Andros' fists clenched at the revelation that he was being pointed as the culprit of the crimes that he obviously had not committed since he had been here the whole time, his gaze took a darker shade and he was glaring and sneering at that absurd accusation although he had managed to control his fueling anger and his fists soon unclenched when obviously people whoever they might have been knew that he had been here all along...
He kept his silence for the time being and he inclined his head slightly when Horsea excused herself leaving him with Ayla. Taking a deep breath, Andros was thankfully able to process the information he had just been given, so apparently he was the assailant, and that only meant that the person who actually committed those crimes was either skilled enough to disguise him or herself, it could either be an expert assassin or someone who had that much knowledge in the Force to past up as him, and the reason was why? To what end?
Up to this day, he had no knowledge of any other dark sider who had walked this planet, not since Rhea. Sure he was known to be a Force user with a political position on this planet, but it had been a while since he actually did use the Force, he mainly and always trained his body and kept himself in shape, he had not even used his lightsabers in a long time, at least ever since he entrusted those to his brother to keep back at the academy in a safety vault.
So Ayla was here per Mace's request, actually that part amused him, not because Ayla had been sent by Mace but because Mace and his brother, Atlantis, were actually investigating that. Chuckling briefly and shaking his head, Andros had that sardonic smirk on the corner of his lips. "This is me not even lifting a finger, Ayla..." Andros said dryly although it was a sincere statement as he leaned back against his seat before intertwining his fingers. "So Sike is dead, huh." He remembered that Ayla had pointed at that Bothan, obviously that was one less problem he had to think about but now he really was hoping that the gangs in the city wouldn't even think about causing a fuss.
"But very well." Said Andros as he stood up from his seat and looked at Ayla with a hardened expression. "Although I will need to be apprised of that situation and the evolution of Atlantis' and Mace's findings, but also I do pity the soul of whoever really committed those crimes." Andros really did, and he wasn't joking about that considering that he knew where Atlantis' and Mace's fortes laid, Andros trusted them to get to the bottom of that but he wouldn't be surprised if he found out that it was going to take longer and that it was going to be difficult. "Thank you for letting me know, Ayla."
Andros had said his last statement sincerely before sitting down again on his seat, letting her leave unless she had more things to add, but he had let her know that he definitely wasn't going to interfere and whatever other things might happen in the future, that was definitely going to be out of his hands since he was going to let the Jedi take care of that situation. Considering that the Jedi had been on that case, it was definitely a Force user that was in question here and not just a simpleton of an assassin... Andros closed his eyes briefly and knew that there were going to be enduring times ahead of him and maybe he will have to decline Elika's dinner invitation whenever that came due to what he had just found out...

Forthcoming. Likelihood.
"Not surprising," Madieke comments dryly when Atlantis informs her that there aren't many people with the kind of access to his brother's office that he has. Neither of the Vyridians are proving to be as open or forthcoming as her previous interactions with, at least in the case of Atlantis, had led her believe. What she knows of Andros is comes primarily from seeing him on the holonews on the rare occasions he makes any kind of public experience, and from when she worked a case for him. That the Vice Governor is tight lipped, moody, stiff necked, and often has the social skills of a toddler sorely in need of a nap is not surprising. Atlantis, on the other hand, has surprised her a few times in the past few days with how alike he and his twin can be. Maybe she's about to learn why that is the case, Madieke thinks as the turbolift comes to a stop.
As the doors of the turbolift open, Madieke nods towards them with her chin to indicate Atlantis should take the lead since he knows where they're heading, and has whatever access they might need to get there. Following Atlantis out into what looks like a waiting area, complete with a receptionist desk and chairs, Madieke almost makes a joke about the likelihood of there being enough people brave enough to visit the Vice Governor to fill even half of the chairs, but doesn't in the end because if she isn't in the mood for jokes she doubts Atlantis will be either. Instead of making a joke, Madieke just follows Atlantis silently.

Atlantis briefly smiled when Madieke told him that it wasn’t surprising at all. She was dead on about that… Andros typically abhorred getting too much people in his midst and he was just the kind to be shut off entirely, like Atlantis had been recently. But then again Atlantis was the type of guy that acted differently depending on the setting. In a casual one, he might have been much more overt or communicative but for this case, this was really different and he always separated his private life and his “work” so to speak.
Throughout their turbolift ride, Atlantis had been eerily silent, not because he did not want to talk; actually he preferred not to make any small talks at all considering that it really wasn’t the time, at least not for him. But that little pause allowed him to think further about what he had been thinking earlier while he had been waiting for Madieke by the government building. Not only now he was being paranoid, but above all else, he really was losing his grip due to the fact that this wasn’t just about him but it was also and more importantly about his brother. He really should get different perspective about all of this and hopefully they would agree even though Atlantis had never really interacted with any of them.
That was settled then, Atlantis would have to reach out to the headmasters of different academies around the galaxy, but he could think about that later, as they had arrived at their destination…
Walking out of the turbolift when Madieke gestured for him to do so, Atlantis advanced straight to that door of where he was certain Andros had taken temporary refuge, and he closed his eyes momentarily before concentrating on the Force to pinpoint his brother’s signature.
Andros, it’s only me and the Ranger, everything off the records… He told his brother privately through the Force waiting to be admitted inside since Andros was the only one who could unlock the door from the outside and from within as well… And now they waited, Atlantis closed his eyes momentarily and rubbed the root of his nose, wanting and needing for this day to end and as soon as possible.

When Andros got back to his office avoiding entirely all the common venues from the precinct to here, especially when he wanted to avoid the press, the inquisitive eyes of the population, he just settled himself onto his chair and did nothing more and nothing less. He was exhausted, that was a fact, not only those sleepless nights were taking a toll on him but that even that had occurred and painted him as the one that committed those crimes had really come at the wrong time. Glancing at the files that were still sitting on his desk, courtesy from the intelligence department pertaining the gangs in the city, Andros just swiped those aside off of his desk in a swift motion to clear those from his table and letting them fall on the ground. Did he want to bring them to justice? Yes. Did he want to get rid of them entirely? No. Not that way and certainly not by killing them at all. A life was still a life although he had been known to have taken some a long time ago because he had been ordered and because he did have that compulsion back then. But now, it was more him getting annoyed and him losing his grip when he knew the cause of that. He really had only been focused lately on the population's well-being entirely that he did not start, at least at the same time, at what could have been the root of the problems.
... And now it all came to this, to that, and everything told him that he really was going to be in it for the long haul and in the wrong way. Andros sighed and shook his head before standing up from his seat and gathering the files he had thrown off his desk and replaced those neatly once more it next to other files neatly stacked as well concerning the military, the legal department, the projects about the population and last but not least the raceways project that had been on hold for a while now.
When he heard one of his datapads signaling him that he had received a message, he took it from his coat's pocket and read the content of the message, understanding the encryption immediately and soon deleted it when reading the sole two words of that said message, update. He should have known that at least it was well underway, and however that had been done, and however that had been succeeded, Andros didn't really bother to think about it that much, although he was just hoping that sooner or later, hopefully, he wouldn't feel bad or guilty at all when all he knew he had been doing was the right thing. Also when he considered what had happened today, he knew that it had been the right thing since obviously he didn't want to take any chances at all. He was the target to begin with and if someone wanted to exploit his weakness, that was only to look in closely to the people he really cared about and had no discomfort being around them at all.
But that was a matter that would have to be revisited later when he felt someone reaching out to him through the Force.
Atlantis.
Andros focused momentarily and concentrated briefly into the Force, although the act alone was straining him since he was exhausted, and he felt that the PI he had hired a while ago was standing behind his door, pushing a button on the armrest of his desk before covering that again, Andros looked right in front of him seeing that his brother and Madieke were standing at the threshold of his office before gesturing for them to enter. The only source of light that had been right here in his office was the spotlight directly aimed at his desk, he did prefer the darkness anyways, but considering that now he was with people he lit up the rest of his office after shutting the door behind them and summoned two chairs right in front of his desk that came from the ceiling before he stood up and looked at the both of them but more importantly the one he assumed who was in charge of the investigation. "The last time I have seen you, before this day once more, it was as a PI," Andros started to say before gesturing for not only Madieke to sit down but also Atlantis as well. "Now, what should I refer to you as?" He asked with a frown although that was a rhetorical question, after all why would a PI investigate this, but he figured that with the news that he had followed, she had been the Sector Ranger assigned and asked to oversee this case.
Waving his hand before sitting down on his seat, Andros shut off the mic feed in his office and looked briefly at Atlantis before focusing his attention back onto Madieke. "If you are going to ask me if I did that, clearly no, even though there was time a time I would have done it, but not now and certainly not as the Vice-Governor of Umgul." Andros said factually and straight to the point. When he had still been a soldier sure, or just someone sent in because it had been asked of him. "And I do not believe in leaving witnesses alive to tell the tale."

To the point. Through the mud.
"SEO," Madieke answers succinctly, since she knows from the short time they spent together when she conducted an investigation for him that he prefers things be kept short and to the point, when asked by Andros what her current job title is. Madieke is more than a little surprised that Umgul's eerily pervasive and nearly all-encompassing intelligence department had not already filled him in on the fact that she has been reinstated to her former rank, who did the reinstating, and probably even why the decision was made to do so. Either intelligence has had their hands full with recent events, Madieke figures, or Andros is being unusually polite, or maybe just very subtle, by letting her tell him what he already knows.
Taking a seat in one of the chairs that gestures towards, Madieke crosses her legs, right thigh resting over the left, and nods after Andros deals with the formality of asking whether he was responsible for the killings in his usual blunt way. Suspecting that her opinion is of little to no consequence to the Vice Governor, Madieke doesn't bother to tell him that, from the very beginning of the investigation, she never once thought he was guilty of the allegations being made against him, and instead, just as straight to the point, asks the other questions needing to be asked. "The doppelganger or Force phantom power, you or your brother know either of them? If so, and more importantly, does anyone know that you do?" Andros is clever enough to know that she asks the second question because knowing who might have known the twins have the abilities, provided that they do, could be a way to figure out if someone with access to such information could be helping whoever is behind the murders and plot to implicate the twins and drag the UPD and Mist Government through the mud, so she doesn't spell that out for him.

Andros didn't say anything more, at least concerning Madieke's position. However she had wanted to interpret his question due to his lack of knowing or not, that was entirely up to her. Truth be told though, he never cared finding out who reinstated her or whose call she got. After all any capable or smart person would have figured out without looking too much into it. He didn't need to look that much into it anyways, especially when he had other things to deal with. While the matter concerning about him, concerning about his brother might have annoyed him to begin with, at this point he certainly let go of that annoyance and focused onto more important things. He was starting to consider this a dejarik game and he had already implemented some layers of protection where it was needed. After, those that came after him, good but not anyone else.
Leaning back against his seat when the SEO asked him about some Force powers, the first one sure but the second one, that was laughable, it actually got him to look at his brother with that usual glare asking perhaps if she had been serious about the second Force power, at least concerning Atlantis, as for him, yes maybe a long time ago he probably could have and should have learned that power but now, that was the most preposterous question ever. As for who knew. That was easy enough.
"You can cross the Force phantom out, considering which side of the Force it taps into." Andros left it at that. It wasn't public knowledge that he actually leaned towards the dark side and he certainly never made a big deal out of it, it was due to several reasons why he was there and why he wasn't more like Atlantis, and far from Andros wanting to be like his brother. "The first one though, yes and for a long time. Atlantis has the best hold on it, I haven't used it in a long time." Andros said thoughtfully before looking at Atlantis and then back at Madieke whilst he shook his head. "For my case, no not at all, except the Councilors of the Mist Order, I do not showcase the abilities I have."
Andros knew the reasons why she had asked who was aware of that, but he did not let people know and he certainly never said to anyone even though he trusted them what he could or could not do, one because he was never asked and two that always required a great concentration, one that he no longer had the luxury with the things he had to deal with considering that he had taken it up on him to move things along than to wait around for the Senator's approval. Whether Raan liked it or not, it wasn't important but in the end it'll certainly make a difference.
"Anything else?" Andros might have sounded blunt right there, or just infinitely uninterested but that question of his, pretty much was a way to let her know that this was her only one shot to ask him whatever she wanted, because this was the only chance she would probably get.

The moment they had been admitted inside of Andros’ office, Atlantis looked around momentarily, fact was he really never got to this place. At least inside of it, as surprising at that sounded to everyone and anyone who would have asked him if he ever went into the Vice Governor’s office, the straight answer was: no. He and Andros often separated their dealings, and considering that Atlantis never did deal with politics, it definitely was out of place for him to come and go into Andros’ office.
Atlantis looked around in silence and despite the functional and bareness of this office, he could tell that Andros made it his own, the life size picture of Andros and Raan destroying the raceways was behind Andros’ seat, and any other more miscellaneous objects that represented Andros was just there and also he had been surprised upon sitting down to find that holo-picture of him and Andros during their CorSec days, it just got him to take it and peer it at briefly and momentarily, they definitely had the same grin, the same expression on this picture, but that seemed like so long ago, and now they were just different.
Putting the picture back down on where it once was, Atlantis looked at his brother when he noticed Andros looking at him. Andros fielded out the question about the doppelganger part, but nothing more and nothing less, at least about Andros. “A few knows about me being able to do that, Ljiljana, Elikapeka and Crystal.” Atlantis informed Madieke thoughtfully before looking at her for a moment. “When I have done it, it was by the end of Crystal’s birthday, at least for a long time.” Andros was no longer there, but Atlantis knew that if he definitely looked into it, and tried to remember, his signature did appear in the Misty Lodge and remained there, while he took Crystal home as all of them had found out that she was attuned to the Force.
“Serrin Roma knows, but that was back on Corellia when she asked for my assistance with a padawan’s training.” Thinking about Serrin made him wonder how and where she was, it had been a while since he had not heard from her, and the last thing he had heard about, Atlantis did not believe that at all. But point aside, despite the faint frown on his features, Atlantis shook his head and looked at Madieke. “No one else that matter anymore know that I can do that.” They were either dead or unaccounted for, and despite that sense of sadness, life went on as he knew it.
“Whenever I create a doppelganger, people that are attuned to the Force are bound to know especially if and when they are looking specifically for me…” Leaning back momentarily against his seat, he took a deep breath and explained while looking at Madieke this time. “My signature is constantly hidden by one of my lightsabers, I create another me, they know where to find that other me if they are attuned to the Force. Someone will particularly know which one is truly me and which one isn’t, well her and a few that truly know me.”
