99.99% One more.
Ignoring Andros' bluntness, because it's Andros, and far be it from her to expect him to treat her any differently than he treats 99.99% of the beings in the galaxy, Madieke, when Atlantis starts talking before she has a chance to reply to his brother, holds her additional question until after Atlantis has finished saying what he has to say. From what the twins say it sounds as though the lawyer representing the Niktos accusing Andros of the murders lucked into the theory about dopplegangers and Force phantoms rather than having chosen it due to having come to know the Vyridians are both capable of the doppleganger ability since, provided Atlantis is correct, no one that knows they both possess the power sounds like a likely candidate for being involved in the plot against them. Madieke looks a little skeptical when Atlantis says he has a crystal that conceals his Force signature at all times, which contradicts what she understands about all Force abilities, passive or otherwise, requiring concentration and focus, but he would know better than she if there actually is a crystal powerful enough that it somehow bypasses that general rule, and so she doesn't question it. Unfortunately, most of what Atlantis says about other Force users being able to tell that a doppleganger is his, or the difference between him and a doppleganger, as well as when he uses the power won't make sense to the average citizen, so doesn't really help in terms of the public reaction to the accusations. For the time being it is probably better to simply not respond to the whole doppleganger argument, at least in her opinion, and Madieke is glad that, at least for now, she isn't the one that has to worry about making public statements.
"One more question, Madieke says, addressing Andros since she has already asked Atlantis the same question and knows his answer, Anyone, either from your past or maybe recently in your political career, that you think could have it in for you?" The list of people Andros might have gotten on the wrong side of is probably a long one given his way of conducting himself, but Madieke trusts he'll know that she means anyone capable of putting together a plot like the one that has been set in motion with the murder of Sike.

Like Andros had said, Atlantis did have a better hold on his doppelganger abilities than Andros had currently. His brother had managed to detach himself from itself whenever the doppelganger had been created but for a price, Atlantis' doppelganger always had its own personality, and if and when Atlantis did not manage to get to his counterpart before it had been "canceled" out, Atlantis would never get the information his doppelganger had acquired at all. In order for Atlantis to detach himself from the binds that the creation of a doppelganger entailed, he had to make many concessions. Not a lot knew that at all and not a lot had been aware of that fact. But that had not been Andros' story to tell and he wasn't going to point out whatever anyways despite the skeptical look he had noticed from the SEO.
Andros looked at his brother with a knowing expression, obviously she would know and obviously she would be able to tell the difference no matter what. Also the fact that she was now attuned to the Force, Andros was very certain that she had been privy to some information concerning a few of them, but Andros did not care about that, he did trust her, otherwise he might not have done a few questionable things, but that was still unknown to most or at least the majority of them.
"There is always someone from my past, but he is out of the equation, that wasn't him. He has been blacklisted and I have told everyone to not engage if he dares to show up in Umgul. I will be dealing with him personally just like I have dealt with the one he has sent a while back." Andros said before glancing at Atlantis, that had been the main cause of him and Raan issuing a planetary lockdown, at least temporarily, just a weekend for the intelligence department to outfit the city and most of the planet with security cameras. It had never been a public knowledge at all since Andros never brought that up to the public, or he did but only partially. "Answer me this, SEO, do you really think that I give a two cent about who could have it in for me? I am sure that I do get things sent here, but I factually do not give a damn about maybe the hate mail or whatever. I only take care of reasonable things that I can deal with. And I clearly am not the Senator, he represents the people and I am tasked for making their lives easier." Andros told her with his same usual expression, a glare, but then again it wasn't because he was completely annoyed by that, it was just because he did not have the time to think about those said people at all.
Sure, he had been appointed to begin with, he had offered himself up because that had been the only choice he had to make someone back down from trying to even overtake this planet, he also did make a lot of concessions, and considering that he hated the self pity and all of that, hated the attention, he had preferred to offer himself up than turn this planet into a damn minefield with a power struggle between this side and a side for whom he stopped respecting, everything about that family irked him, everything about the members of that family, his family too in a way, just annoyed him and he wanted nothing to do with them any more. But that was a different matter, one he didn't want to indulge in right now.
Andros remembered earlier that message he had received from Mace, which caused him to look at his brother with a darkened expression. "What did you and Master Vos find out, or should I say what have you learned?" Andros asked straight to the point. Deep down inside of him, he was certain that both Atlantis and Mace were onto something, but that something right now eluded him and that clearly was unsettling him.

Point. Out of the loop.
Madieke isn't sure what the point of Andros asking her if she thinks he cares about who might have it in for him, which has nothing to do with what she had asked him anyway, but she answers anyway, telling him dryly, "No, since the answer to his question was there in the contemptuous way he had asked it. Since she wasn't interested in hearing his opinions about how people perceive him, those opinions not a big mystery given how Andros chooses to express and conduct himself with nearly everyone, Madieke says, Wasn't my question either, since he seems to have entirely missed the point of her question. Trying again, Madieke clarifies what she was after when asking the question about anyone from his past or political career, Can you think of anyone that could be behind the attempt to pin the murders on you?"
After she's asked her question, Madieke turns towards Atlantis, interested in hearing his answer to his brother's question about he and Vos were able to determine from their visit to Entin and Orlov. From the way Atlantis had made it clear that there was more to the visit than what he felt comfortable speaking about in the precinct, Madieke is guessing that he and Vos were actually able to determine something, and is interested in hearing what they may have learned that made Atlantis decide to keep the UPD out of the loop.

For a lot, Atlantis could understand that often times it was difficult to understand Andros and what he actually meant, but since Andros was his identical twin on the opposite spectrum of the Force albeit, Atlantis understood him clearly and he looked at Madieke knowingly. "By that Andros meant that he has no idea because he doesn't deal with those things and actually he just doesn't care." Atlantis explained before closing his eyes briefly and looking at his brother dubiously. "Who deals with those or filter them to begin with?" Atlantis asked dubiously, clearly he had no idea about the inner workings in the government since after all like he had promised or agreed upon a while ago, the Mist Government and the Mist Order would have no say in each other's dealings and Atlantis was perfectly fine with that.
Atlantis knew that sooner or later that question Andros had just asked him would be brought up, he was apprehending it a little but to him, that just wasn't right at all, at least that wasn't going to be done at all until they did get to the bottom of it. "They both denied it entirely." Atlantis said straight to the point as he looked at his brother, and it showed in Atlantis' gaze that he did not believe that at all. Looking upwards momentarily, Atlantis soon looked back at his brother knowingly, considering that he and Andros did have some identical faculties to recall some events if they really concentrated that much.
"Remember Crystal's birthday back at the Misty Lodge?" Atlantis asked rhetorically, he knew that Andros would remember that, even if he had stepped out from the restaurant momentarily considering that he had gone after Elika when things started to spiral downwards. It was far fetched for a lot but for Atlantis, not so much especially when he had clearly been told by the person, that she did not use her abilities to get a read on people or just influence them. "What do you actually know about the high ranking Kiffar officials? And particularly your Director of Intelligence?" Atlantis asked but that wasn't important so he went to the point straight away. "She has limited precognition and gets flashes of potential events that are going to happen several seconds if not minutes later, considering the cousins' innate abilities, Mace was seeing those flashes, and it kept changing, especially concerning Crystal." Atlantis shook his head briefly and took a deep breath. "Someone in that restaurant was influencing the emotions of people. Helaine was there, Zeltrons are known to shy away from conflict instantly but she and Lyov stayed and watched, but thankfully the Kiffars averted the irreparable. Mace told me that Horsea was very unsettled by that because she really did not see Crystal summoning the Force to cause harm against that Echani woman to begin with because of Ryan." Frowning at the thought, now that he could detach himself from that event, Atlantis did have a clearer vision of that approach but really Crystal really giving that much into frustration and irritation, that was just out of character for her, but then again sure the day before that, Crystal had already slapped that Echani woman but Atlantis was certain that he had managed to get Crystal to back off.
Atlantis sighed softly and shook his head before glancing at Madieke. "Umgul's Chief Financial Officer is attuned and trained in the Force, but that is something you will have to keep for yourself because she doesn't want that to be known or discovered." Atlantis informed the SEO until he heard his datapad pinging and he grabbed his datapad as he had been informed that a code that he had given a particular person had been used. Looking at that code, Atlantis recognized it immediately, blinking a few times, he looked at his brother knowing that there was a probable chance that he would get the same information and the name that was attached to that unique code. Atlantis pocketed his datapad and looked at his brother but also Madieke. "Look Madieke, I do know that we'll have different approach, and whether you believe me or not, in the end I do not care, but if there is one thing I am certain about, that couple is the culprit, maybe it's just one of them or both, but I'd rather have my name being dragged into the mud than have everyone that I care about be put in danger." Atlantis stood up from his seat and looked at his brother. "I have to deal with this and see for myself if it's true, their place in a few?"
Atlantis glanced back at Madieke and he had no idea if she still wanted to talk with Andros or not, either she followed him to the exit or not that was her choice, but Atlantis really had to get to the Umgul city's spaceport.

Just know. Irrefutable. Behind.
Madieke had hoped that this meeting would explain the reasoning behind Atlantis' certainty that Orlov and Entin are behind the murders at Sike's estate, so learning that the explanation, stripping aside all of the extraneous and unrelated information Atlantis pads his answer with, boils down to "I just know it" is more than a little disappointing. Even if Orlov had manipulated anyone's emotions like Atlantis believes, that is a long way from from making her a murderer. Madieke can tell that there won't be any convincing Atlantis that his reasoning is flimsy, she knows absolute conviction when she hears it, and as Atlantis says himself, he doesn't give a shit what she thinks anyway, so she just keeps her expression neutral, nods and doesn't say anything.
Standing up when it is clear the meeting is over, Madieke nods a farewell to Andros, saying, "Vice Governor," and then follows Atlantis to exit the building. Madieke knows that some of her deflated feeling comes from the fact that, should Atlantis' suspicions prove to be founded, the case was solved in what feels like a cheap way. There was no detective work involved, no connections to evidence followed, just a simple jump right to the correct answer. Rubbing her right temple, Madieke reminds herself that Atlantis is a Jedi, that intuition and being Force sensitive go hand in hand, and that sometimes cases are solved on hunches alone. Maybe this is one of those cases, and even if they are looking at the right two suspects, they still have to build an actual case that will require hard, solid, irrefutable evidence if they are going to be able to do anything about bringing the culprits to justice.
Lifting a hand and waving a farewell to Atlantis once they step out of the elevators, Madieke heads outside and makes her way back to the precinct where her speeder is waiting so she can head home and put the day behind her.

Andros listened attentively to what his brother was saying, and thus he understood the reasoning, a lot might not have believed that at all, and a lot might not understand Atlantis or the reasoning of why he believed those things, but for Andros it made sense, clear as as day especially when the Kiffars were involved in a limited capacity somehow. Andros already knew that Horsea had been the tracker of the group and also had a bright mind into planning ahead, but the fact that she did have some precognition, that he had been partially unaware of except for the fact that Horsea, just like Mace, exactly knew when to be there whenever it was necessary.
Andros could tell that the SEO did not believe Atlantis, it did not matter at all what she thought or why she believed that Atlantis was wrong, it wasn't Andros that was going to stop Atlantis at all from doing what he needed for seeing this matter through. Andros inclined his head when Atlantis told him that he would have to deal with something, and that something, Andros had been made aware of it immediately as well when he noticed from the corner of his eyes the information that had been brought up to his attention from the department of intelligence. Andros thought that Serrin Roma had been MIA, believed to be dead, and he even had that conversation a while ago with Horsea about revoking the who used to be High Councilor of the Jedi Order immediate landing clearance, but Horsea had informed him that she couldn't overrule Atlantis' original decision, lest she got the expressed order from Atlantis himself, or any of the Councilors of the Mist Order.
Andros did not pursue that matter, for he understood back then that Atlantis did not believe those hearsays and that it would take a lot to bring down Serrin Roma. That aside, Andros started to focus into the Force but something prevented him from doing so, and it got him to groan in pain since he had just received a high voltage from the binders around his wrists. Pulling his sleeves down, he looked at those and gritted his teeth knowing perfectly that he couldn't remove those at all and whenever he started to concentrate on the Force, he'd always receive a higher voltage for some reasons. Horsea always did a good job, and this was just too good and it clearly was working.
And now there he was monitored somehow, he had asked for a tracker into those binders too, only Horsea would know where he constantly was somehow, not that she needed that information but for reasons he needed that and thus ever since he got those binders, Andros had never used the Force again and instead trained his body and meditated to stay in shape. Now he was still waiting for the second thing to arrive, apparently someone from the Intelligence Department had been dispatched to Myrkr to get him what he needed. Sighing softly Andros looked at those that were leaving his office and inclined his head when Madieke took her leave as well right after his brother.
Andros stood up from his seat after retracting the two seats right in front of his desk. He rolled his sleeves down once more and closed his eyes briefly until he heard a voice through the intercom to his office. Turning around to open his door again, Andros looked at who was there, seeing that it was Horsea and two officers who had been carrying an olbio tree. "Just put it over here." Andros pointed at the proximity of his desk and looked at Horsea before lifting his hand to indicate that he would still be keeping the binders because he didn't want to take any chances while he was outside of the office, it was only one ysalamir on that tree and there was no way he was going to carry that around at all. "Thank you." He told the three of them before dismissing them if there was nothing else at all.

After her Olbio tree has been settled into place beside Andros' desk, the Ysalamir, named Wihakayda by the officers that had made the journey to Mykr to procure her and her tree for the Vice Governor, lifts a furry foreleg to begin moving up the trunk of the tree a few inches. Sinking her claws into the Olbio tree once she has chosen a new place to settle in, Wihakayda cranes her neck this way and that for a few moments to take in her new surroundings, her gaze seeming to settle on Andros longer than anything else before, apparently satisfied she is in no present danger, curling her tail around the trunk of the Olbio and closing her eyes.

As one might expect given the happenings on Umgul and in the press, the Vice Governor's office is flooded with requests from reporters and holonews personalities of all varieties for statements from or interviews with Andros. Among those clamoring for interviews are Jim'ee Olsen, sounding as eager as ever while following his editor, Doran Healy's advice to get something other than a no comment; and UNN's own Ja'an Blitzer, who sounds only marginally less eager as she offers Andros the chance to tell his side of the story on the air.

After dropping off Ice and her son, Lukas, to the Misty Lodge, Andros definitely made a beeline for the Government building like he said he would and accessed his office from above, after parking the airspeeder he had been using. Using his own retina scan and fingerprint, he finally went inside of his office, and clearly there was no one around, not that it mattered much to be honest considering the time of the day and considering that it had been a weekend. The moment he did step into his office, he was suddenly cut off from the Force, and he just suddenly disappeared from the grid to any Force sensitives beings. The connection he had with his brother, was just simply void, one that wasn't really what he had wanted to begin with but a necessity.
Looking over to the corner of his office and seeing the ysalamir right there, Andros smirked briefly before walking to his own seat to deal with a few things that had been pending, a lot had been pending and upon consulting his data terminal, he, of course, had plenty of messages, and most were requests for an interview. Rubbing his face and sighing briefly until he groaned at that faint electric discharge from the bracelets he had been wearing, Andros stared at his wrists and glared a deadly glare at those nuisance in his office, when he clearly no longer needed those while being here. Perhaps he should pay a visit to the Deputy Director and ask her to input a command in the tracking system that was attached to those blasted things, each time he was here, it should be deactivated automatically and reactivated every time he stepped out of his office.
Another pending matter to add to his long growing list to-do.
First things first, Andros personally typed out a message to those reporters that had wanted an exclusive and only had wanted to learn the truth and anything, but also weren't afraid to ask those burning questions. He knew that he couldn't stall that matter any longer, and he also knew that the press was waiting to hear from him especially with what he was being accused of. Perhaps it was the wrong move from his part, but then again, everything and anything that he might have done insofar for a lot, it seemed, was the wrong move on his part. And with Raan's temporary absence from his function, there was nothing much he could do about that.
Drumming his fingertips on his desk and looking at the message he had typed out and not sent just yet, Andros wondered what the heck was going to happen and something told him that it was only just the beginning. Finally selecting one of those reporters and one that came off as just perhaps, less eager, Andros really had no wishes to have someone too over zealous around him with how annoyed he currently was, and it was the reason why he had chosen Ja'an Blitzer, including a note that it was at her discretion whenever she had wanted to do that interview, he only had one request though, that it wasn't in a crowded place and that if she preferred, it would be in his office and soldiers from the UDF would be present if that made her feel safer...

Sometime after the Lakehouse's pool party
Andros who had been sitting in his office and obviously was currently disconnected to every thing happening outside in the City, expect him putting a Holonet alert on his name, his brother, and any one else he was close to. That matter about the death of Montite did show up on his dataterminal and he looked at it with a sneer and even gritted his teeth. He had been here in his office all of this time, the biometric would attest to that, and moreso the fact that he couldn't use the Force while being here would clearly exonerate him of that stupid charge of killing that lawyer.
Just when he was about to hail his brother, whom Andros was certain was with Crystal or anyone else, a comm was coming in...
Andros? It's Serrin. I am not sure whether you have heard yet, but there was another incident this evening involving a perpetrator disguised as you or Atlantis. Varik Monite, the attorney that had publicly announced his intention to file a civil suit against you, was murdered at his law offices. The incident was captured on the buildings security cameras, with several eye witnesses also present, which may be to our benefit depending on where you and Atlantis have been tonight. SEO Aninh had the UPD make a brief statement earlier, cautioning the public about leaping to conclusions when there are many species adept at impersonation or altering their form, and it is our hope that your and Atlantis' accounts of your evenings will be ones that can be verified in order to cement both of your innocence in the matter. Can you tell me where you are now so that we can meet to discuss the matter?
Andros was fuming, and if the ysalamir wasn't there, people would have felt it, but clearly, no, he was just a person right now in his office and not having any abilities honestly. Pushing the button on his com device, Andros spoke right then and there. "I am in my office, Serrin, please do meet me here, and I will tell you, or even exactly show you why I couldn't have done those things, even holocam footage here and biometrics records will exactly show that I haven't left my office ever since I stepped in here."

After assuring Andros that I required no convincing where his innocence were concerned, I had made the brief sojourn from the law offices to the Mist Government's headquarters, where Andros' office is located. During the journey I had received a holonet message from Special Enforcement Officer Aninh, summarizing what had been learned by the coroner during his autopsy, and by the deputy Sector Ranger working with her from reaching out to the Organized Crime Unit; all of which I would be able to share with Andros.
After being led to Andros' office after being subjected to the understandably stringent security protocols, I thank the guards and, once inside the office, glance around at the surroundings briefly after inclining my head in a bow of greeting to Andros. Arching the thin ridge of muscle over my left eye when I spot the ysalamir perched in the branches of an olbio tree - which explains the somewhat disconcerting sense of coldness that had enveloped me upon stepping into the office, the familiar warmth and comfort of Ashla's embrace being taken from me as I entered the sphere of the ysalamir's influence - I make a mental note to add the observation to the body of knowledge my fellow investigators have compiled, for the ysalamir's presence means that Andros could not, as had been hypothesized in the earliest stages of the investigation, have been able to employ a doppleganger or Force phantom to carry out the deeds he has been accused of, though I will need to learn how long the ysalamir has been a fixture in the office before putting that conclusion forward.
Looking from the olbio tree, I remind myself that he is not one to indulge in small talk, and simply ask Andros, "Shall I go first, or should you?"

It has been a fact that not a lot of people knew about the presence of an ysalamir in his office, and whenever he met people, or just journalists, he had a way to cover, mask the olbio tree and the ysalamir itself, but currently he didn't find the need to do so, nor did he have the need to do so. But by default it was always camouflaged.
"Depends on where you actually would like to start Serrin..." Andros said curtly before taking a deep breath and looking at his dataterminal. He knew it was about that but also there was something in her stare that wondered about his friend there on her tree. "Though, before you ask, no, prior to the first claims of murder, that wasn't there yet." Andros said as he pointed to the olbio tree as he continued to look at Serrin gravely, and as he pointed there, he still had his bracelet on his wrist, that would activate whenever he stepped out of his office premises. "SEO Anenih has not seen it, because it wasn't there, and no I have not asked for the officers to go to Mykr to get me an olbio tree after that first crime, but rather after you and I first met at the park." Andros explained and he knew that he didn't need to explain but he was certain that she would want further details, and everything that involved the reason of that olbio three being there.
"As far as the people are concerned, that is not there, it's not here, there is an optical illusion in place whenever I have to meet people here in my office, otherwise, it's in plain view to you, to close friends, and any one else I deem fit to know the reasons why I have this." Placing his elbows on his desk, Andros took a deep breath and look upwards momentarily before closing his eyes to think and recenter his thoughts, or at least have that clarity he would need to hear what Serrin would tell him, or ask of him.
"Now, what can I do for you? Unless you'd prefer we'd step out of my office and be far enough from that bubble because you'd be more comfortable that way, please let me know."

Accepting the fact that the ysalamir was not as conveniently timed an addition as might have been wished with a rueful smile, I shake my head when asked if I might prefer to hold our meeting elsewhere, simply accepting the need to endure the brief absence from Ashla's warmth as I say, "I shall not keep you long. Knowing Andros as I do, I suspect that he will not ultimately be interested in the finer details of the investigation, and that he will appreciate it if I instead confine myself to only the more salient points. The lightsaber used in Mr. Monite's murder was identical to that used in the assault on Mr. Sike's estate, though the perpetrator was not the same in both instances. Keeping my explanation as brief as possible, I say, Where Atlantis and Mace were able to use their gifts to view the assailant in the first killing, security camera footage from the second scene show the killer was able to physically assume your appearance, suggesting the killer was a shapeshifter of some kind rather than an illusionist as evidence from the first scene suggests was the case in the assault on Mr. Sike's estate. It would seem, then, that there is more than one conspirator in the plot against you and your brother."
Lifting my right hand, I say, "While your own alibi for tonight is strong enough that it may left a large degree of the public suspicion directed towards you, I am afraid that the prevailing theory of who is behind the conspiracy has had a rather large hole poked in it, I lift my other hand while dropping my right, explaining, Miss Orlov and Mr. Entin were both being interviewed by a holonet journalist at their benefit dinner, meaning neither killed Mr. Monite. It may be time to accept that, whether or not Miss Orlov is guilty of the attempted manipulation of Crystal's emotions that evening at the Lodge, the couple is no more than they appear to be, and are not involved in what has been happening. Clasping my hands behind my back, I tilt my head to the side and ask, Speaking of who was where and when, do you happen to know where Atlantis was tonight? If his alibi is as strong as yours, it should go a long way towards swaying public opinion towards your innocence, and ideally enable the UPD and others to focus less on proving or disproving a vast governmental coverup and more on finding the real conspirators."

Andros kept looking at Serrin as she exposed the facts she had found, or had found recently. If Serrin had told him that this encounter, or this talk might have taken much longer, he would have offered her a seat, but either way, whether it was short or long, he did not care and just hit a command in front of him, and a seat came down from the ceiling, just in case if she wanted to seat, that as up to her. He was certain that she would know him enough that was him offering even if he did not say it verbally.
Still, apparently Lyov and Helaine were also exonerated since they were being interviewed by journalists for one of their benefits. Leaning back against his seat and still looking at Serrin with a skeptical expression, Andros briefly shook his head. "So because of the fact that they were exactly there where they were, that exonerates them of everything? Just like my previous biometrics readings on that first night where those killing first occurred, did not give me the benefit of the doubt? Because of how I am in public appearances, I am automatically painted as the perp, because people believed that it was me and not someone else, who conveniently shows up on this planet and gets in the public eye as great benefactor, as people obviously whoring for the cameras?" Those were clearly statements that he spat out in disdain and clearly in frustration.
And if the ysalamir wasn't there, his aura would have flared up, his anger would have been perceived but instead, that anger was just present on his facial expression. "How can you tell me, now that the perpetrator was supposedly two different people like you have stated, the differences, I do not know, but then you tell me to perhaps it might be time to accept that Helaine's messing up Crystal's emotions might not have been there, but will you also tell me that Elika running away from there, that evening, because of her predisposed condition was just because of the whole scene there?" Andros gritted his teeth and shook his head, obviously he wasn't at all going to let go that matter about Helaine particularly.
"But tell me, how was it different this time, one was slopping and the other had just the perfect execution style?" Andros asked after he had taken a deep breath, this whole thing was really pissing him off and he could not believe that this whole thing was going wayside, plus the whole death of Montite was just clearly stupid, not after he had been made aware of that Crystal and Lily had commed people to represent him... Sighing softly and rubbing the root of his nose, Andros gritted his teeth once more before taking a deep breath. "As for my brother, all I can tell you is that he has been with Crystal, now more than ever..." Andros said thoughtfully with a frown, he knew that Crystal had been dealing with several things, and he also knew that there were so many more things that Atlantis had been overseeing.
"Look, Serrin, please do not tell me what I should accept, or should not, because I won't take your advice then, and because I certainly have a hard time trusting people, they are in my short list of giving the benefit of the doubt, for sooner or later, someone will want mine or Raan's position, but for what? No idea, I don't care, but you may be right, there might be more conspirators, but it has been a while for me since I have even wielded a lightsaber, mine are locked in the vaults of the Academy..." Sighing softly and standing up from his seat, suddenly really tired, from his outburst there, but also the whole situation, Andros walked towards one of the windows in his office, no one could look within of course but he could still look outside. "The last time I have killed someone was also the last time I said I would stay away from my lightsabers, and I have handed those to Atlantis, after that evening here, and I have promised myself also to not take a life any time soon. So how really could I have killed all of those people when I have tasked a few soldiers to infiltrate the crime syndicate here and to dismantle those from within?" Turning to look back at Serrin with an arched eyebrow, clearly, Andros had a frown on his features, perhaps he should just abort everything, just resign and get on with his life...

I endure Andros' irate response to what I shared with him without moving or commenting, reminding myself that his frustration is most likely not so much with me as with the situation as a whole to avoid the possibility I take anything he says personally. When Andros seems to have reached the end of all he has to say, I lift my right hand, palm turned upward as I gesture in his direction and clarify, "I did not mean to imply that you were obligated to accept any of my personal conclusions, or that I was dictating how or what you should think, so please forgive me if that was the impression I gave." Seeing little value in debating the merits of our individual theories when merely verbalizing his own thoughts on the subjects raised by what I shared has stoked the flames of his anger so much, I let the matter simply rest with both of us having now shared our interpretations of certain subjects.
Atlantis being, if I am understanding what Andros means correctly, with Crystal for the duration of the evening is a less than ideal alibi where his whereabouts are concerned, though that depends on whether or not any others in the same location have seen them; something I shall have to look into at a later point, as I am content at the moment with the explanation Andros has given of his twin's location given my certainty that neither brother is now, or ever has been, involved in the crimes that have been lain at their feet. Taking to heart Andros' admonition not to tell him what he should think, I choose my next words carefully to avoid being misunderstood, saying, "Personally, I feel that a bit of optimism is warranted; we have made a great deal of headway towards incontrovertibly demonstrating your innocence even if we are no closer to verifying the identity of the true culprits. Inclining my head in a bow of farewell, I say, There were a few small pieces of trace evidence recovered at tonight's crime scene, and their analysis may bring us closer to ending this all, so I should go. I will keep you apprised of any further developments, I allow a small, faint smile at the corner of my lips to surface briefly as I quip, though I'll be careful in future not to give the impression my interpretation of those developments is one you are obligated in any way to adopt as your own."

Setting his airspeeder down to the parking spot reserved for him, Andros stayed sat there for a moment with his eyes closed and head up the sky thanking whomever there was to thank for the safe return of the people that have been missing for three years. Not anymore. Thankfully, and the Force not anymore. Hopping off the airspeeder and heading directly to his office, Andros stopped momentarily on his way there seeing that his secretary was gone, good and thankfully but also he could not help but to walk over the waiting area and just stand there for a moment.
Many people came and went here, delegates, representatives, but none of those mattered as much as those that have been finally found this evening. Andros had a faint smirk on the corner of his lips, and yes he might have changed those last three years, and yes probably he looked more like his brother. But their personalities were still different, and also Andros still glared frequently when he wasn't amused or was just impatient, but he had learned to a least before a little more sociable if it could be put that way.
Cringing slightly and even shaking his head as he actually remembered Lucine looking at him back at the hangar in the city as if he was just unrecognizable. Perhaps. Andros supposed that would happen with him still living his life in the three years of their disappearances, though for them it had only been an hour or so. It made him think of what Elika would actually think about him now. Andros used to not care at all, actually to a certain point he still did not care, but in his cynical ways, he actually wanted to find out. Not that he wanted to cause her more stress or any anxiety, but Andros knew that out of the people Elika knew, perhaps he was the one who had changed the most.
Finally entering his office again and purposely keeping it dark, with a dim light, Andros was once again engulfed in the protective bubble of the Ysalamiri that was still in his office causing him once more to be shut off from the Force. Sighing softly, Andros looked at his dataterminal picking up where he had left off, the report from Lily that he was reviewing, so he exactly knew the following steps to take in order to send someone else to stand in lieu of Ljiljana Jankovic who represented the government.
He sat there perhaps longer than necessary, and perhaps some people or government workers said that he was married to his job, he had been so ready to give it all up a while ago but now, he was actually pretty content with all the strides that had been made, into turning this planet once more into a prosperous and peaceful one. When he noticed on the corner of his eyes the notification about the protocols being activated. Andros narrowed his eyes reading at the whole content before approving a few things here and there, though unfortunately when it came to Elika, her being a civilian, that was something he would have to ask Lily for some advice to once she returned home...
Andros stayed there in his office until that very late at night, even until the very next morning just working but also taking a power nap a few times on the couch he had in his office...

Walking in the direction of his office after greeting his secretary Katiara Tisa, Andros politely asked if he had any messages, or any appointments he should know about for this very day. Ms. Tisa mentioned that he had a comm from the banking sector of the planet, but also the legal department of the Government along with the Military corp had sent him messages that he would be able to consult in his office.
Thanking her and making his way inside, Andros removed his jacket suit and entered that protective bubble of the Ysalamir where he no longer had any connection to the Force, or had no idea of any of the currents outside of his office, before sitting down on his chair and turning on his holoterminal to read all of the messages that would interest him.
Smiling at the content, Andros breathed a sigh of relief before opening a new window to type out a message.
Hitting the send button, Andros looked at the other finer points to all of this and was grateful that the science corp had not been involved into anything, he supposed that with just the small release of them being found, and no further details that was enough to avoid any other inquiries about where they were or what happened to them. Andros had also asked everyone to keep their mouth shut and sign an NDA provided by the Attorney General about that affair.

Shortly after Andros has sent out his holonet message he receives Lucine's reply:
A bit later in the day, he will get Elikapeka's reply:
At 19:01 the following evening, Lucine and Elikapeka, responsible for their tardiness since even though Lucine picked her up early the architect spent fifteen minutes looking for the spectacles that were in the pocket of her coat the whole time she was looking for them, enter Andros' office, Lucine nodding her chin towards Andros' office as she tells Katiara, "He's expecting us," and then heads to the door to the Vice Governor's office.
Elika, feeling bad about just passing by Katiara's desk without saying hello, stops and waves as she smiles and says, "Hi! Pointing at Andros' office, she crinkles her nose and starts to explain, He really is expecting us, the Vice Governor, I mean. See, he sent . . ."
Turning around when she hears the architect start yammering, Lucine grabs her sleeve and pulls her along with her as she goes into Andros' office, maneuvers her principle into one of the chairs in front of his desk, gives him a salute, then sits down in the other chair as her principle waves to Andros and starts to open her mouth to start babbling. Interrupting her principle before she takes this meeting off on a tangent that could take hours to get off of, Lucine lifts her arms out to her sides and asks Andros, "What's this about our status?"
"Statuses," Elika interjects, taking her spectacles off and cleaning them with a pocket scarf she produces from a pocket of her blue suit jacket.
"What? Lucine asks in a befuddled tone, That's what I said."
"You said status, Elika points out helpfully with a smile, which is singular. The plural of . . ."
"Oh my fu. . . . Lucine takes a deep breath and shakes her head before looking back at Andros and saying, So?"

If anyone peered closely to his face, they would have seen that Andros was actually smiling, and genuinely too, at the message he ha received from Elika. Alas, the only being that was seeing him right now was probably the Ysalamir that was in the corner of his office by his desk. He had brought down the camouflage to let the creature and the olbio tree in view, for usually she was hidden, and none would know the existence of the creature here except if they were attuned to the Force. Delegates, and some other representatives wouldn't even know better anyways, and Andros was still picky on who could come into his office too. But those inconsequential matters aside, Andros' eyes just moved slightly reading the architect's message, and he knew already from Lieutenant Lyn that they'd come here together.
Andros figured he'd already prepare for their meeting even if that would happen the following evening. Putting everything together, and of course making a mental note to review everything the following day, Andros figured that he would be as much prepared as it was permitted for him to be.
The next evening, at exactly 19:00, Andros was pretty much done with his tasks for the day, the door that led to his office was open. He didn't care if they were late, and quite frankly it wasn't as if he had better things to do that evening. When he heard the muffled sounds coming from outside of his office, he tuned away from the window he was looking through and watched both Elika and Lucy coming through his office followed behind by Katiara who just looked at him expectantly. "Just three coffees, please, and you may go after that, Ms. Tisa." Andros told her in that same neutral voice he always seemed to had but he still smiled at his secretary as a thanks.
Andros just lifted his hand at first to indicate to wait for a bit before they could get into the nitty gritty of it all. Katiara immediately came back with coffees placing each cups in front of the seats which got Andros to nod as a thanks again before she closed the door behind her and departed for the evening.
Sitting down on his seat as Lucy and Elika seemed to be interacting with one another, Andros looked at them both with amusement quite honestly before placing a finger on his mouth to cover that smile of his. Breathing softly, Andros just looked at the Lieutenant knowingly. "I believe that you and I just got schooled there, Lieutenant." Andros flatly mentioned, he might have looked pissed, or just kept on having a straight face, but fact was, he was going for cynical humor as after all the wording did come from his message, he remembered that quite clearly. Singular or plural aside, Andros waved his hand in front of him and decided to first begin with the subject that concerned them both. "Your accounts have been unfrozen, and you have been officially declared as found and alive." Andros pushed two envelops one in each of their direction, it contained their new cards, but also new IDs. "The scientific community will not be harassing you, nor will you have to answer to any questions about what happened up there." He pointed towards the window but upwards, he knew that they would both understand.
"Now about you, Lucine, you have your rank back, and you are once again tied to the UDF, like you have always been, and when it comes to your mandate, that has not changed, lest you have a problem with that, and actually want to be relieved from it?" Andros asked with an arch eyebrow, while he let her mull over that fact, Andros turned his gaze towards Elika after he had taken a sip of his caf, and there, actually potentially this was something she might not have expected as what he was about to tell her had been in the makings for a long time now.
"I actually have a proposition for you, Elika, and that is in proviso that your former boss has not managed to hoard you yet." Smiling at the idea, Andros actually wouldn't blame Evadne at all if that were the case. "I need a Master Architect, and as you probably have seen around the city, new buildings are standing, but fact is I need someone in that position here locally, though that does not mean you are not permitted to take any other projects offworld, because you can, but instead of being on a company's payroll, you'll be on government's one and you can hire whomever you deem fit and necessary." Before he explained further, that actually how he had managed to contain that time travel situation for now with some NDA or whatever, Elika's acceptance to her new position or not would influence the communique that would be released to the press by the communication office of the government.
Staying his tongue for now, to let them both absorb the information he had just provided to them, Andros knew that he would probably have many more question, and those questions, he would gladly reply if they came.

Lucine, thanking Katiara with a nod of thanks not unlike Andros' own, just rolls her eyes when the VeeGee opens things by telling her that she and she were just schooled in grammar by the geek, who thanks Katiara verbally and in her babble-prone way before the brunette escapes and invites another round of babble from the geek who uses more words to say goodbye than anyone has a right to.
Fortunately for her and the VeeGee, in Lucine's opinion at any rate, what Andros says after informing them that their assets have been unfrozen and they are no longer listed as missing, leaves the geek momentarily speechless with her mug of coffee frozen halfway to her lips, and gives her a chance to hold her hands out to her sides and asks, "How come she gets promoted and I don't? Narrowing her eyes, Lucine says with a sly grin, Say, since I'm protecting a Master Architect now, revealing that she intends to stick with her current assignment - which, surprisingly, has proven to be more exciting than being a starfighter pilot since, with Umgul's neutrality in most matters that would find other worlds on one side or the other of the many conflicts between ideologically, politically or whatever other ologies cause wars to be waged throughout the universe, being a starfighter pilot in the UPD typically doesn't involve anything more exciting than flying uneventful combat air patrols - of being the architect's bodyguard, shouldn't I get a bump in pay, maybe in rank too? Nodding in agreement with herself, Lucine concludes what she believes to be her winning argument, with an, I think I should.
After the matter of her lieutenant's bid for a raise in rank has been settled, which had given Elikapeka a chance to consider Andros' proposal more fully than she might otherwise have been able to do, and probably spared everyone from a lot of awkward babble as she considered it aloud rather than in her head, Elika smiles and replies by asking, "How could I possibly say no to that? I mean, she crinkles her nose with an amused smile as she jokes, I am unemployed at the moment after, she waves her free hand around, everything." Frowning as her current line of thought reminds her that she has yet to have let Evadne, the senior partner at the architectural firm she had been employed by before she and her lieutenant went and got themselves in the situation that resulted in them being listed as missing persons, know that she is no longer missing. Evadne, in addition to having been her boss, is also a friend, and Elika makes a mental note to let him know she is no longer missing, which will also now entail letting him know that she has accepted the position of Master Architect on the Mist Government's payroll.
Lucine, looking at her principle as the geek takes a sip of coffee with a distant expression she knows means the neurotic red head is either getting lost in her thoughts or letting her anxieties start bubbling up about something, asks impatiently, "Was that a yes?"
Elika, swallowing her coffee with a perplexed expression, smiles and crinkles her nose as she asks, "Wasn't that obvious?"
Lucine, grinning and glad to be the one handing out the grammar lesson this time, which is a first as far as she can remember, points out in a scholarly tone, "You said, and I quote, how could I not, which is not an answer, but a question . . ."
Lifting a hand, Elika protests, "The question implies that the answer . . ."
Wagging a finger, Lucine says, "Ah-ha, but implying is only suggesting, not actually . . ."
Frowning, bobbling her head from side to side, Elika admits reluctantly, "I can see how you . . ."
Lucine, dropping an imaginary microphone with a triumphant grin since she takes the geek's I can see as a you were right, looks at Andros as she crosses her arms over her chest smugly and asks, "Who is taking who to school now, huh?"
