Just some general stuff really. Nothing your not comfortable sharing.
*Ralph gave her a more comforting, heart warming smile then the others he had given her earlier. While he thought her shyness cute and adorable, he did not want her to feel uncomfortable around her. Part of his mind cried out to just tell her to relax and get comfy. But such a thing would likely just make things worse by drawing attention to it. His ocean blue eyes softened with his his smile as he sat quietly to listen to what she would tell him about herself.*

Terra nodded, relieved that she wouldn't have to share any of her more painful memories with him. There might come a time later on where she would tell him about her past, but for now, she really wanted to keep it hidden. But there was also plenty about herself that she didn't mind talking about, that being just a matter of coming out of her shell a little bit.
She sighed. "Well...um...I've been here for...almost a year I think. Serrin Roma took me as her padawan a few days after I got here." She smiled. "She's been really good to me." Terra had always been grateful to have Serrin as her teacher and she often wondered if she would be doing so well with her training if it had been anyone else as her teacher. Some things were just meant to be, it seemed.

You and Miss Jade mentioned Master Roma just a bit. She sounds very nice. I can only hope my new master will be as good as you say Master Roma is.
*Ralph leaned back in his seat a bit and smiles, crossing his arms gently over his chest as he continues to listen to Terra. His mind slips back to a thought about Zik, and he wondered how well he would adapt to a new master, or wether or not he should just attend classes first to ease into a new life. Whatever he did though, he knew he wanted Terra to be a friend he could turn to. and who knew what the future would hold past that.*
Please, Terra, don't feel like you need to stay if you have places to be. I will probably be here until tomorrow afternoon.

Terra nodded in agreement and smiled, remembering what he had said about Zik. "You'll find someone. Don't worry." It felt nice to be the one encouraging someone for a change, as it was usually the shy young woman always needing to be encouraged. It helped that there was no one else around besides Ralph to hear it, though.
She shook her head. "I don't mind. I still have a little time." It then occurred to her that Ralph maybe needed to be alone now, to rest after his journey here. There would always be time later if he had more questions for her, or one of the academy's instructors or administrators could also help. In any case, maybe now would be a good time to leave.
She stood up. "Um...but if you need to rest now...I can come back later on."

*He didn't mean for it to seem like he wanted her to leave, but it was true, Ralph was tired and needed at least a nap. He pushed himself out of the chair and walked to the door with her, leaning on the wall next to it. Then, a though occured to him, and he finally spoke all of his mind.*
Maybe I could swing by your room later? I've made a hobby out of cooking so I could get something made and we could skip out on the rush of the cafeteria...
*When he asked, Ralph had not even realized the implications of what he had asked until it was too late. What shocked him even more was how easily he had just asked to come to her room and make her dinner. He thought for sure with Terra's nervousness that she would flat out tell him no, or run off without answering him. While these thoughts rushed, his cheeks and ears burned hot.*

Terra's eyes widened when he asked if he could come by, and she felt herself starting to blush again. "Oh...um...w-w-well...I....m-maybe...um..." She honestly hadn't been expecting him to ask that, and she found herself feeling even more nervous then when they had been talking in the gardens. On one hand, she found it much easier to talk to someone one-on-one, and if he brought dinner, they could talk more. On the other hand, she had never had anyone in her room before, and if she didn't know any better, Ralph had just asked her on a date, of sorts.
She was silent for a moment or two, before her gaze finally turned from the floor."Umm...s-sure...I m-mean yes! I mean...um...you c-can come over l-later...if you w-want..."Her face had turned even more red now, and she turned away."I'll s-see you later! Here!"She squeaked and quickly disappeared after dropping a small datapad on the floor in front of Ralph, with her room location before walking quickly back to her room.
Once in her room, she quickly closed the door and dove down on her bed, her heart pounding and her face still very red. Ralph was going to come to her room later, with dinner!
So much for being able to concentrate on her studies....

*Ralph picked up the datapad and smiles. Setting it on top of his bag, Ralph flopped onto his bed and stared up at the cieling, smiling as he drifted off to sleep. He woke only two hours later and stepped into the refresher for a quick wash. He changed from his work out clothes and into a nice pair of jeans and a long sleeved shirt, leaving his hair un-braided to dry.
Ralph made a call to the kitchen, putting on his best Honoghrian accent to warrant them sending ingredients to one of the quest rooms. Once everything arrived, Ralph began to fix a favored recipe of his. As the fettuccine shrimp alfredo sauce simmered and the noodles cooked, Ralph stepped aside and braided his long hair. By the time he was done with his styling, the food was ready. He moved it all the easily transferable containers and grabbed his plates and silverware. He set it all gently in a bag and headed off to Terra's room.
It did not take him long to find her room. As he stood at the door, he wondered if she was looking forward to the night as her was. He looked down and straightened out his cloths and some last minute adjustments to his hair before knocking on her door and waiting with a smile.*

Terra had been completely unable to get any of her studies done, her mind firmly occupied with the upcoming dinner with Ralph, and she had spent most of the past hour fretting over every detail. What if the dinner didn't go well? What if she did something embarrassing? What would happen during the dinner? These questions, and more ran through her mind as she nervously fidgeted and paced around her room, having given up on her studying. No way any of that was getting done...
She didn't have much in the way of fancy clothes, but she did have a nice pair of jeans she had gotten for her birthday, so she picked them up out of the dresser and set them on her bed, along with a white shirt. She then picked up a towel and headed for the refresher. She undressed and stepped inside, trying unsuccessfully to calm herself down and stop all the nagging doubts and fears rushing through her mind as she stood under the warm water. Eventually, she washed herself and stepped out to dry, wrapping the towel around herself before walking out of the refresher.
She dressed slowly, blushing a little as she observed herself in the mirror. Her jeans were much tighter than the pants that were a part of her Jedi robes, and she wondered if she maybe should have stuck with those instead. Probably too late now, as Ralph was likely coming soon. Besides, these clothes were a part of her birthday present from Serrin, probably the only time of the year where she would ever receive a gift. Terra had been saving this outfit for a special occasion, and this certainly qualified as a special occasion. She spent a little time drying her hair, and the rest of the time was spent pacing around her room, nervously waiting for Ralph to arrive.
She jumped and stifled a squeak of fright when he knocked on the door, and she hesitated a moment before slowly making her way to the door and opening it, seeing Ralph standing there with a bag. Her face began to turn red again as she smiled nervously."H-hi..."

*Ralph's smile was soft, almost soothing. He had been able to tell that Terra was easily excitable, and he wanted to stay as laid back as he could in hopes that she would be more comfortable. When the door slid open, Ralph's smile widened a bit. He had not expected her to dress out of her robes, but it was a look the suited her well. His heart was pounding a bit as he stood there and then finally opened his mouth.
Good to see you can let your hair down...Uh, I mean you look nice with the jedi robes...Not to say you didn't look nice in them, but...You know...
*What he meant to say was simply that she looked very nice. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, until he caught his slip up and eased back into being laid back. His mind racing through anything he might have forgotten in his room, and many of the same things Terra wondered before he arrived.*

Terra looked back at him, glad that she hadn't been the only one with the idea to dress casually. Maybe it was just her imagination, but Ralph seemed like he was a little nervous too, which made her feel slightly less nervous herself. It made her feel slightly better to know that she wasn't the only one feeling jittery about this. She blushed again when he told her that she looked nice, and giggled a little. "Th-thanks...um...y-you look nice too...um...come in..." She stepped back to let him in, and her gaze turned to the bag he was holding, and she looked back up and him and smiled. "So...um..what's f-for dinner?"

*Ralph nodded and stepped in to her room and over to her table. He set the bag down and moved between her and the food to keep it a surprise. He pulled the containers out of the bag and set everything up. Fettuccine alfredo with some kind of shrimp. As the smell began to permeate through her room, he turned back and smiled at Terra.*
A favorite of mine. Fettucine alfredo with shrimp. I also have a bottle of wine that I had on my ship from a brewry on Honoghr, if you want any.
*Ralph pulled two glasses out of his bag and set them on the table after unwrapping them, seeming to ease up as he talked about the food. He moved to one side of the table and pulled the chair out for her, remembering what he was always told about gentleman while growing up.*

Terra watched Ralph as he walked over to the table, tugging nervously on her padawan braid as he set everything up. She had never had fettuccine before, and never even heard of it before now, but it smelled good and that was good enough for her. Her mind had been so preoccupied with nerves that she had forgotten that she was getting hungry. She saw the food on the table and smiled at him. "Looks delicious." Her eyes widened a little when he mentioned the wine, and she recalled a time before she had even thought about joining the Jedi when she had shared some with Lita. It felt like so long ago, but she remembered it not going down very easy. Hopefully this time would be a little better. But again, she didn't feel like sharing that story with Ralph just yet. She started to blush again when he pulled her chair out for her, and she slowly sat down. "Thanks...um...I c-can have a little wine...um...b-but not too much..."The Jedi academy generally didn't stock wine as far as she knew, and she wondered what Serrin would think. Well...as long as she didn't have too much, then it would probably be OK...she hoped.
As Ralph sat down, Terra wondered what they would talk about. He probably still had some questions about the academy, and maybe he would want to know more about her, too.

Only need to drink as much as you want. I'm glad you agreed to have dinner with me tonight. It's always rough adjusting without a friend, but you have been extremely kind and helpful to me.
*What Ralph failed to mention was how pretty a friendly face she had been, but that was not something to share with her yet. He pulled the bottle of wine from the bag, and used the Force to easily uncork the bottle and pour them both a glass before lightly re-corking, and setting the bottle down. He handed over the serving utensils for Terra to take the first serving then leaned back in his seat and smiled.*
I was hoping to get to learn a bit more about you still, nothing you aren't comfortable sharing, of course.

Terra smiled, remembering how Serrin had been there to help her adjust to academy life, though she had been adjusting from a completely different and rather dark lifestyle. Still, it was always easier to walk a new path when you had someone there with you, and she was happy to help Ralph get to know his new surroundings. His compliments made her blush yet again, but she knew the feeling and nodded slowly. "It's n-no problem. I'm glad to help."
She took the utensils from him and slowly took a bite of the fettuccine and chewed slowly, and it tasted quite good. Of course, Terra was not picky when it came to her food, as pretty much everything tasted good compared to the grub on Nar Shaddaa so even if the food he had cooked up was terrible, it was always better than what she was used to. But this was far from a terrible meal. Ralph had done a good job of cooking this."This is really good!"
She looked at him from across the table and smiled."So...um...what d-do you want to know?"

Well, lets start with something we have in common. What has been the focus of your training?
*Ralph took the utensils back to put a bit of the pasta on his plate. Secretly he was overjoyed that she enjoyed the food. He made a note that he would leave any left overs for her to have later. He took a small sip from his glass of win before picking up his fork and taking a bite, savoring the flavor. His smile stayed soft and his eyes were bright, an almost excited look to find out more about his friend. And of course, he planned to answer any possible questions Terra may have.*

Terra thought for a moment as she took another bite of the pasta and washed it down with a small sip of wine. Her training hadn't really taken on any one focus, as Serrin had mostly been balancing all aspects of her training so that no one subject stood out over the other. So far, it had been equal parts learning how to use Ashla's gifts and training with her lightsaber. Unless he meant which path she was taking, and that she truly didn't know. Despite the progress she had been making, she had yet to make a choice on her future within the Jedi Order.
She shrugged. "I've been learning a bit of everything, really..." She sighed softly. "I'm...honestly not sure what role I want to take yet..."

Nothing wrong with that. In terms of our career as jedi, we are still very young, so there is no hurry to set ourselves to a path. Rushing through things like that is how we make mistakes. *Another bite of pasta and a sip of wine.* Like I said in the gardens, my training has had more of a combat focus, but that is why I came here. I wanted to spread out my training more and get a feel for other aspects of a jedi's life. *Ralph's soft smile returned as he peered across the table at Terra.* And sitting here now makes me glad that I came here instead of going to any of the other academies.
*Again something had slipped from his mouth, but Ralph did mean it. In the past day since he arrived, Ralph had seen more of a friend in Terra then he had most of his other fellow padawan on Honoghr. His cheeks were a slight shade of red, but at this point there was no reason to try and hide it. Instead he moved on with the questions.*
Ok, now a bit of silly stuff. Mmmm, whats your favorite color?

Terra nodded and slowly chewed on another bite. Normally she felt a bit of pressure whenever she was asked about her future with the Jedi Order, and with the rest of her Trials looming, it was certainly a matter worth thinking long on. However, the way Ralph spoke of it, it didn't seem like such a big deal. It was easy for her to sometimes lose sight of the fact that often one's path in life is never clear, but you have to take it one step at a time. It definitely sounded like something Serrin would have said. "I know...I'll figure it out one day..." She sighed softly and took another sip of wine, her face turning red once more and she wondered if her face might just melt if he kept throwing compliments her way. "I...I'm g-glad you're h-here too..."Looking across the table at him, Terra noticed that Ralph seemed to be blushing a little as well.
She giggled a little when he asked her about her favorite color, and for once, she didn't hesitated when answering."Green."She giggled again."D-do I have to say why?"

Only if you want too, Terra
*Ralph smiled more. Man is these two smiled any more they would get stuck like that. Regardless of that, Ralph found it hard to not smile around her. He took another bite and finished off his glass of wine.*
Mine is a frost blue. Because it always makes he feel calm and cool

Terra thought for a second about why she liked green so much, and it was mostly because it reminded her of the grass and trees here on Corellia. She loved being outside, where she was surrounded by green grass, the leaves on the trees. A childhood spent in the slums of Nar Shaddaa had made her appreciate the outdoors here quite a bit."Green reminds me of...well..trees. I love being outside...um..." Well that had sounded better in her head, but it was true. Probably because she had grown up in such a dark and not very colorful environment, there was something about being outside that was very soothing for her.
She sipped some more of her wine before taking another bite and chewing slowly, hoping her face wouldn't melt from embarrassment.
