It's been a while since we've discussed Star Wars stuff due to what happened in Feb. Let's get to talking about Star Wars.
So...Star Wars: The Clone Wars CGI animated series has come to a close on Cartoon Network. Big bummer I think a lot of us can agree on. Hoping that either Disney channel brings it to their airwaves along with new episodes at best, or at least make some straight to DVD Clone Wars films that continue where the last season left off.
Lucas Arts, RIP. For many, Lucas Arts was on a bad spiral for the past few years. Still, they made many memorable games, such as the Knights of the Old Republic games and Secret of Monkey Island. If Disney has some better ideas of what to do with the video games that used to be made by Lucas Arts, I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in store.
Discussion? Anyone?

It is sad that both the CGI series and Lucas Arts were closed. Though from what I heard, the producers of the CGI series say that they are working on a new project that hasn't been touched by the movies and other tv series yet. We will have to wait and see what they come out with.
As for Lucas Arts, I can agree that they have had a bad spiral. I was looking forward to Star Wars 1313 and First Assault, but sad that those were confirmed to be closed as well. Personally, I would like to see Disney come out with some games that fans really want such as a Battlefront III and perhaps some games involving the much later universe.

Honestly I was hoping for them to show some more order 66, I REALLLYYYYYYY wanted to see Ashoka die.
Im okay with Lucas Arts closure for as said it was pumping out crap. However people seem to be jumping on that what really happened was it became a liescencing company only. (Dont hate on my spelling I am lazy) What that means is that there can still be Star Wars games but they are made by different companies. You want a BF 3? Well Treyarch could make that; which I hope they dont I dont want a generic 3rd person star wars shooter.
We should not be sad arguably one of the most liked Star Wars games was made not by Lucas Arts but by Bioware. Thats right the KOTORs. So if that is any indication than maybe its a good thing it was closed.

@nicademus: Saw on the internet what looked to be an episode they were working on from a link on SW Insider's twitter. Showed Anakin along with two other Jedi fighting on a ship against Separatists, with one of the Clone troops acting strange like as if mind tricked, then killed one of the Jedi. Ended with showing what looked like Admiral Trench looking at the incident on the ship's bridge and showing he survived, but now has become a cyborg. If anything, I'm hoping what they're working on getting more Clone Wars in somehow. But I'm interested in seeing whatever it is they might be working on as well. @ Xeonon: At this point, I wouldn't mind it if Ahsoka actually lived after Order 66. Think it be interesting if it were perhaps her being the lady a the end of the Apocalypse book as the lady who lit the candle signifying a glimmer of hope for the Jedi against a Darkness surrounding them. Like as if she at some point after the series ended and in that book became the guardian of the Dagger of Mortis, which the Jedi after Apocalypse are now on a search of trying to locate it. However, I do understand what you mean by it turning into a licensing company. Bioware made a great Star Wars game, so I'm confident they'll give game projects to developers with great ability at making games. Oraltor Nadon: That be good too.

Clone Wars CGI made Barriss Offee a Dark Jedi for no damn reason. As far as I'm concerned, it should stay away and be forgotten in favor of the actual canon of the Clone Wars. Regarding Ahsoka, it honestly would make for a better story if she died before Order 66, preferably as a result from something Anakin mucked up. It'd solidify his journey towards the Dark Side that much more, rather than most of the half-assed reasons we got in Episode III. The loss of a mother and a Padawan within a relatively short time frame would damage anyone's sanity, especially since he'd be blaming himself for both deaths.

I agree I was kinda disappointed they screwed with the canon again and made Barriss Offee a Dark Jedi at the end of the season. Especially don't like it as Barriss Offee is one of my favorite Jedi in the Clone Wars era and I even have an NPC that's supposed to be distantly related to her, if not just have the same last name as a tribute to her. I'm hoping that Lucas and his people have Barriss Offee redeemed somehow and have her brought back to the war so it stays in canon with the overall Clone Wars story.

I don't mind what the Clone Wars is doing, I am much more bothered by shut down of L.A. I REALLY want 1313 and First Assault.
