Jedi Council OOC planning

Rodia has been a Jedi world since the first day of 1.0, but has seen a lot less activity of late. If you are looking for another option for a base, it could serve your purposes quite well.

I've been talking with some republic figures, and most of their dislike stems from Ryloth, where we agreed to defend the planet and didn't. It doesn't help that in the RP Sel instigated with the Repbulic the Jedi liaison went AWOL, or the Senate Bombing SL, in which a group of jedi blasted their way into private senate meeting without alerting anyone, on the republic side, to their plans, and then stopped posting halfway through the SL, or that so far the Jedi council as a whole have not been communicating with the Republic on any regular basis. (Dav's abrupt disengagement from the site left a SL hanging awhile back too) In general, the Republic's interaction with Jedi writers since 2.0 started has been less than pleasant IC and OOC.

That's what I've been given on why we have the republic's sudden hatred. Honestly, a few good SL's could probably repair any IC damage done. Shihab is currently on Ryloth trying to assist a now devastated Lessu, and when the planet returns to something resembling order, he will stand trial for his part in the abandonment of Ryloth. That's my choice, and I'm not asking any other writers to do the same, I'm just asking that some of the guys and gals heading to Coruscant poke their heads into the Senate OOC thread and see if there is anything we can do to bring relations back to normal. At the moment their doesn't seem to be much to do about Ryloth in particular that isn't already being done, so please don't start sending massive waves of relief etc, as that is counter productive to the SL at this point in time.

Conclusion: The next Jedi RP with the Republic should not involve me as a major participant on either side.

I've not read the RP about what's going on but I can take a look if you want? I'm not doing much else right now and it might help me interface with the Council of Reconciliation.

The blame I intend to take, at least in part myself, the others, those absent will be found KIA/MIA, can do as they please. There were only four originally, to my knowledge. Myself, Johun Starfield, Mike Frantz, and Alkor Centaris, were the ones in charge of the fleet, as I understand things. Johun and I noticed that our fighters weren't going to be able to do anything to the enemy Carrack, and headed dirtside, where we both picked up padawans and then began our separate journey's off world, to safer places to begin a padawan's training. The battle devolved shortly there after. When the writer for my padawan vanished, I returned to Ryloth, and well I've been there since.

I'm looking to re-purpose this character rather than make a new one. Barael hasn't been involved in any SL's since I made him, so if you need someone to take the fall for Yavin or investigate Corulag, I can use those as catapults for his entry into the universe...
