Jedi Shadows OOC thread

Well the Shadows to fit in with what already exists on this site need to be a separate entity to the existing Jedi Council. For it to work they might as well be assumed to be renegades by the Jedi most know and deal with. However the Shadows themselves obviously believe themselves to be not exactly beyond the Jedi Council but are able to act as they see fit.

Secondly for the Shadows to work on this site I think you need to contact Sith or Dark side factions and establish a line of rp allowing you to infiltrate/ get captured/ spy/ destroy artifacts etc.

The Shadows job is to deal with the Dark side and effectively dispose of or eliminate threats to the Jedi Order, now the Jedi Watch already exists and to some degree are supposedly dealing with the current threats, thus the Shadows should be dealing with the threats beyond the obvious, the Sith that are in hiding. Your problem is, is that the best Sith writers are grouped with Sinistra who I think is tied up in several rp's at least so I don't know if she has room for another....

To establish the Shadows and make them work you need to (if you already haven't) talk with the active Jedi (Da, Ael, Aer, Mike; in short the more active players/council members) and establish where the Shadows can fit in, because I don't think you can just ignore the existing Jedi contingent and establishing an ulterior Council or Order (since all Orders got united) is going to fit in. Once you have established where the Shadows can fit in then you can start contacting Sith.

Personally I see the best way the Shadows can work and fit in is if they come under the already existing Wathcman Umbrella but obviously maintain their Shadow status. I'm thinking that Shadows on this site are going to operate allot like Tholm, Quinlan Vos. They are known Jedi who are part of the Order but it is their missions and how they carry them out that defines them.

Guys this is where your writing is going to have to match what you are; you can't go gallivanting into places brandishing your saber and proclaiming all you survey is unjust and unholy. Any rp you embark on should be built up and take time, you need to plan, have resources, spy, bribe, backstab, infiltrate and assassinate/ retrieve. I would love to see an agent planted within the Sith for a long time, the rp could be really interesting, that characters struggles, temptations and strifes could be brilliant.

This of course is where things fall down, because there simply can't be six Jedi Shadows infiltrating one Sith faction and tbh I can only call to mind two decent groups of Sith in terms of writing (although I could be wrong) and that's the NOE and those grouped with Sin. That means that two of you can infiltrate Sith, however it doesn't mean the others get left out in the cold, because the Dark side pervades many an organisation. I might call your attention to the gathering Imperial assemblymen and the Perses project. I am sure both of the leaders of these would rp a story out.

So guys what you need to do is get your links out there, once done you need to convene and get your shit together, rp training, resource and intel gathering work with Corsec etc. Get your rp up and get the quality into it, the more you write the better you write the more people will sit up and notice.

Ok, sounds good. My powers as posted in my profile are along those lines, but are only as a gHowline, since IC wise my character has not learned anything. However I am overly familiar with role-playing on this site and as a Jedi. If it suits I can be a learner, for starters Yarrik could further hone his psychometry and learn this cloaking technique.

Well, the job I was sent on has caught the eye of the writers on Dromund Kaas. If anyone in the Shadows is looking for something to do, this might run smoother if I get a little back up. I will talk to the writers there, but from the sounds of it, I doubt they would mind if I brought in someone...Five on one isnt a fun prospect, haha.

The issue isnt formal training, its being heavily out manned. Bit its cool, I'll do it myself.
