Not taking any notice of what at happened to the Vong, Tysabaar acknowledged the request, as he viewed it as nothing more than that, and followed the marines. Toying with several ideas about why the marines had asked him to follow them, he finally decided that he would let himself be surprised.

"We're clear." Mardotte nodded to his helmsman. The ship was ready and so was he to depart. He had gathered all that he could from Utapau. Not much, certainly not even enough to justify the fuel for the transit, but there was something to show for it. Besides, he was at the point where he could afford it. The stars streaked as the engines sent them over the edge, into the abyss. Where they would be going next would be anyone's guess.

Following the troopers Tysabaar felt a sudden jolt as the Vanguard jumped into Hyperspace. Turning to the troops escorting him the sith said,"My apologies men, but I have to attend to some other matter for now. This will have to wait." Leaving the marines behind him Tysabaar returned to his cabin.

The ship that exited hyperspace and entered planetary orbit was a nondescript freighter. Completely ordinary, it was. It had an ordinary hull. It had ordinary engines. The sole laser cannon had been upgraded, but that too was ordinary in these parts. The ship's IFF squawked ordinary codes from an ordinary world, and the manifest was perfectly ordinary as well.
A really smart ATC weenie might be inclined towards suspicion, simply because years of experience will tell them that having nothing unusual about a ship is about the most unusual thing they'd see over the course of their career, but Goran wasn't worried. Even if they ordered him to pull to for boarding, they'd find nothing odd without completely dismantling the entire ship, at which point the crew would be shocked to discover that the ship they thought they had been flying for the last few months was actually being controlled by a Shard.
In all fairness, Goran didn't interfere unless he really had to, and that was rare. The ship's captain knew the arrangement and the real mission, but he didn't much care. All he had to do was point it in the right direction and hope the crew didn't find anything odd about the incredibly insightful computer that generated missions, paperwork, and generally made things work.
Goran, meanwhile, was seeding the galaxy with the newest iteration of the Shard Network. You see, the cargo was invariably droids, usually something both innocuous and ubiquitous enough to both be in demand and generally go unnoticed. The ship would land and sell the cargo to wholesaler that would distribute the droids across the system. No one ever seemed to notice that about 1 in 5 were Shards.
Three months and thirteen planets later, and the network was starting to take shape. On planets where the hidden Shard population was either low or nonexistent, the network was built up from scratch. The cell implanted would quickly and unobtrusively get into every data network they could, and would infect as many droids as they practically could with sophisticated spyware programs. Most planets with preexisting Shard populations already had such networks in place, and it was simply a matter of integrating the new cell with the new instructions into the network.
This was planet 14 for Goran in his crew, and it didn't look like they would run into anything exciting.

As with Geonosis, a gleaming Separatist Munificent Frigate exited hyperspace above the world of Utapau, sight of the final defeat of Grevious.
With the swift surrender of any orbital defences, a Droid division quickly made landfall on the planet.

When the Spark of Nen left hyper space eventually, the sight it was welcomed with wasn't necessarily one, Linuy Findos would enjoy. Harbouring a defense of at least four Munificent frigates and two Recusant light destroyers within the orbit of Utapau, the Confederate Navy wasn't necessarily grand, but still strong enough to pose a threat for the Majestic-class cruiser, which has just entered the system. Two ring ships, belonging to the Lucrehulks, which the Separatists planned to utilize for their operations as well were stationed in orbit as well, functioning for the moment as space stations. Everyone on board knew that the mission, they had signed up was dangerous - however they would probably realize soon enough how dangerous it really was now, if they already haven't. Relatively calm, Captain Hatoo was probably one out of few people on the bridge, who didn't show their instant fear, when two of the Munificent frigates began to approach the heavy cruiser. Given that their communication systems were active, Captain Hatoo took the initiative to contact them.
"Captain Tas Hatoo, captain of the destroyed Munificent frigate Quasit reporting", he began stern as he sat in his seat, activating a holographic image of himself so that those, commanding the ships on the other side could see the former Separatist captain in full view, "We have captured a derilict Galactic Alliance cruiser on our escape, as our fleet was destroyed by enemy ships, presumably Blackguard. Do I have to confirm my identity at high command or may we pass?"
A long awkward pause followed, before a mechanical voice, obviously a T-series droid responded, hearable for everyone within the room.
::TA-543 reporting, positive!::, the response was,::Captain Tas Hatoo found within Grand Confederate databanks - assumed dead. Chances of survival unlikely. Err0r! We must fix our systems and apologize for our attempts to defend the system from assumed intruder. We followed the protocol.:: So far, so good. Without even bothering to smalltalk with the droid, the Neimoidian continiued harsh as most were used to his kind of species. "Where is Vice Admiral Aerian? I wish to report to him in order to obtain a new command." Another pause followed before the droid answered. ::Negative. Vice Admiral Aerian is currently on a mission to defend the system from approaching invaders. Chances of invaders being Blackguard are 90% positive. Grand Confederacy recalculated strategies in order to survive. Chances of Survival: Likely, but forbidden to calculate. Order from the Vice Admiral.:: "Very well, then we'll land until I recieve new orders from the naval command. I will tell them in personal, once we reached Pau City, understood, T-543? Just inform the other ships in orbit, that our vessel poses no threat." ::Negative. Goes against protocol, but this is 96th time naval commanders ordered us to skip protocol. Therefore: Positive. Returning to sector patrol then. Have a good flight, captain! ::
Eventually the frigates would return to patrol, once the tactical droid has ended the protocol, while the Spark of Nen was slowly approaching the planet. Relieved, Senator Findos went to Hatoo's side. "That was easier than I thought", she solely commented, as the cruiser entered the planets orbit. "We have luck, that we're running out of capable captains since the recent months", Hatoo replied dry, "I already feared, that Aerian himself might be here, as that would have complicated things by a lot, but none of the tactical droids will normaly disobey a Confederate Neimoidian captain. Those droids are fine and quite accurate, when it comes to calculations, but they can't think outside the pattern. A betrayal from within the own ranks would be such a case and given that nobody among the officers gives a crap about rules anymore, since we lose every week a new system, it gives us an even better opportunity for exploits." Linuy nodded, glad and at the same time disappointed about this information. When it came to the 'Grand' Confederacy, nothing of what she saw outside the window looked really grand but rather than the shadow of a once galaxy-wide movement, which was able to resist a major gouvernment like the Galactic Republic of old days. If there was ever a chance for her to liberate the Neimoidian systems from the grasp of the First Order, Linuy hoped that those whom she intended to free from their shackles won't continiue the practice of the Trade Federation and rather seek a new way. Only then there was hope to prevent history from repeating itself over and over again.

Ignus stops himself from snorting loudly. He looks to Krink, his geonosian counterpart, and nudges him on his knobbly shoulder. Krink's wings buzz briefly in annoyance and his hisses at his human friend. "Did you just see what happened?"
Krink nods.
"No wonder the Confederacy lost the Clone Wars. Droids can't replace good ol' flesh and blood, don't know why you even tried."
Krink makes a series of clacks and stamps his feet. "Oh, you didn't have a choice? Well, that's different."
Ignus turns to a Niemodian guard. "Just point us in the right direction when it's time to do stuff," he offers helpfully.

The guard merely nodded, as the Spark of Nen slowly began to enter the planet's atmosphere, everything on deck becoming quiet for the next ten minutes. Although the droids were foiled, there was always the minimal chance, that the Separatists would find out about their mission, either by the tactical droid nontheless reporting what had occured or because other authorities would notice the cruiser. Thus the mood on board was tense, as everyone prepared their weapons - as the critical part of the mission still lied ahead.(plot continiues on the surface)

Several Months Later...
Although a small portion of the former CIS Forces on-world had been defeated by the raiders that had come several months before, the vast majority of them still remained, conducting their duties as previously dictated by Admiral Gulch. Despite the fact that they were, admittedly, not in the best fighting shape anymore, their large stockpile of weapons and ships still made them dangerous, as they harassed anyone who strayed too close to Utapau, while keeping an iron grip over the population of native Utapauans. Attempts by the Umbaran Militia to break free from the planet had also failed, leaving Utapauan and Umbaran alike pawns of the former remnants of power left on the planet.
Aderon, as the former Head of State of the CIS, knew this truth rather well, and as he had been captured and transferred here at one point during the droids’ exodus from Serenno, knew just as well that this was the final bastion of the Grand Confederacy of the Outer Rim left in the galaxy. A Grand Confederacy that had not only betrayed Aderon, but also the ideals it sought to protect, devolving into tyranny and mindless violence. Not that Aderon particularly cared. However, the system still was of interest to him, not to liberate and occupy it, but instead to annihilate the majority of the droids left behind, in revenge for their master’s betrayal.
As such, the truly gargantuan fleet of Separatist Warships above the planet, consisting of five Separatist Supply Ships, thirty Munificent-Class Frigates, and two Recuscant-Class Destroyers, headed by a Providence-Class Dreadnaught, the Defiance, were greeted by a flash of light as the shark-like shape of the Annihilator appeared in the system, alongside an irregular collection of other vessels that appeared to have been bought from various private collections, including six Venator-Class Star Destroyers, a Lucrehulk-Class Battleship, five Imperial II-Class Star Destroyers, an Interdictor Star Destroyer, and an MC-90 Star Cruiser. Aiding each side as well were quite a few smaller vessels.
As the ungainly cluster of ships formed up, taking great care to stay out of the range of the enemy fleet’s turbolasers and starfighters, Aderon stood on the command pedestal on the raised bridge of the Annihilator, being presented with an extremely clear view of the battle. Ordering his interdictor to activate its gravity wells and stay back from the battle, he then ordered all the Venators to launch their fighter complement. As the large horde of what appeared to be a mix of New Republic, Seperatist, and Imperial fighters were deployed from the hangars of the ships, Aderon made contact with the opposing commander.
“General T-54... we meet once again. Last time we spoke, I was giving you commands, and now you stand opposed to me. Much like a traitor.”
Head of State Dooku. I am surprised by your arrival. By my estimates, there was a 90% chance that an attack was to have come from the Blackguard. The probability of your surviving the attack on Serenno was 46290 to 1.
“As you can see, General, your calculations are highly flawed. There is no escape. The last vestige of Gulch’s legacy will die here today.”
By my estimate, there is a 95% chance you are bluffing, and that you simply want to elicit a surrender from me.
“That... we shall see.”
With that, Aderon cut the communication, and ordered his capital ships to begin advancing, while the fighters raced ahead to clear a path. As the fleet set all its deflectors to double front, they began advancing fairly slowly, with the small support ships keeping pace with the much larger vessels. It was not long before the long range weapons on both sides were within range, and as a result, both sides began taking shots at each other, though at this range, it was mostly just wasted energy, as shots tended to bounce harmlessly off the shields of the ships. Even so, however, Aderon’s fleet was much better equipped to deal with capital ships then his opponents’ were, a fact he hoped to use to his advantage.
The fighters, meanwhile, had reached the enemy capital ships, and began initiating bombing and strafing runs against them, though with minimal effect, as a swarm of at least a thousand droid fighters rose up to greet them, overwhelming the pilots quickly, who were too preoccupied dogfighting the Separatist fighters to actually attack the opposing capital ships. Any Y-Wings that attempted a bombing run were met with either seven Vulture Droids on their tail tearing them apart, or the warm embrace of a capital ship’s point defense laser. Even so, however, some progress was being made, as Aderon’s side had bothered to release the majority of their fighters, and the varied nature of Aderon’s fighters actually favored by him in this situation, as he was able to access advanced designs the Separatists simply did not, aiding in the progress of this battle. Indeed, both sides seemingly were able to throw endless amounts of fighters at each other; it was only a matter of when they chose to do so.

As the starfighters remained locked in the twisting, contorting cloud of similar craft in which they found themselves, the Capital Ships began moving to engage each other, with both fleets being lined up to maximize their output of fire that they could render unto each other, with the Annihilator herself being arranged in a broadside formation to rake the enemy formations with its inordinate amounts of turbolasers. Indeed, several Munificents had began to move forward, attempting to fence off individual ships in order to eliminate them; however, these small raiders fell prey to the weapons of the Star Destroyers.
The Separatist Supply Ships, upon deploying their complement of fighters, were quickly destroyed by the weapons of the various ships that made up the opposing flotilla, due to their lack of weapons and relatively poor state of decay. Indeed, the entire fleet was not exactly in prime condition, and it very clearly showed as the battle raged around them. Turbolasers overheated and exploded in fantastic fireballs, triggering chain reactions that devastated a few cruisers, while the once formidable shielding on the vessels was quickly punctured through by the numerous weapons on the Star Destroyers.
Several of the Munfiicents, along with the Recuscants, began to attack the annihilator, but made little progress against the large ship, which, while a lumbering target, was extremely well protected against their attacks, with heavy shields and armor, and was more than heavily armed enough to devastate the vessels. A single salvo from the octuple barbettes on the left side of the craft split the already cheaply-built, decaying Recusant clean in half, the proton shells carried aboard igniting in a fantastic display of purple, orange, re, and yellow plumes.
Aboard the vessel, Aderon watched, satisfied, as the sharp nose of the craft rammed through a Munificent, slicing it down the center, spilling droids, cargo, and starfighters into space, along with high volumes of debris and wreckage, with what remained of the ship's reactor complex slamming against another ship, causing another debilitating explosion. He was satisfied with the performance of this new ship, as it was ripping the opposing fleet to pieces alongside its various, smaller support vessels. If things continued at this pace, this would be a short campaign indeed.
Off the front of the ship, several Munificents began gathering together to prepare some sort of counterattack against the opposing forces, hoping to break the momentum of the enemy action, and hopefully, if not completely defeating them, at least pushing them back significantly enough that they would reconsider making a second attack. As the shadow of the larger ship bearer down upon them, the droid captains' mechanical circuitry, unable to feel fear, only showed cold, rational numbers in an attempt to try and prepare to get out of the firing line of the large ship.
"Prepare to fire a salvo from all forward weapons, ensure that those ships can't break our line."
By your command.
By now, the quality of the DJO fighters combined with their numerical advantage had overwhelmed the Grand Confederacy's droid fighters, and had begun initiative bombing runs against the capital ships of the enemy fleet, howeverr they admittedly tool high losses in these attacks, especially against the Diamond-Class Cruisers' powerful point defense system of laser cannons.
While all this was happening, general T-54 began making contact with the surface forces, advising them to lock down and prepare themselves for a potential ground assault. Above all, the priority would be protecting the new Head of State against his former master, as that death would likely prove catastrophic for the chain of command, as far as the Droids went. After all, it was likely that his death would likely result in the mass slaughter of the more uncreative, less tactically flexible droids. Even the tactical droids would be no match for his commanding ability. After making his call, he turned back to the battle, analyzing the situation he found laid out before him. It was admittedly not a good one, with the enemy command ship, along with two ISDs and the MC90 cutting a path straight towards his command ship.
"Intensify the forward batteries and shore up our defenses. I don't want anything to get through.

Several months prior...
As the core ship reached the orbit, making already its way towards the ring section, Senator Findos could already see that Hatoo gave his best impression to test the Naval command's patience. So far the fake interferences and the talk with an instructed OOM-droid worked out well, as the clumsiness of the battledroids worked now within the Renegade Neimoidian's favor. More than amused Findos followed the holo transmission as the opposing naval commander cursed the stupidity of the droid in order to find their superiors, claiming that they would be missing and not on board of the bridge - yet he recieved orders to link up with the Lucrehulk ring. Unnerved the opposing naval commander decided that he would task the present officers from the ring section to take command of the controll ship in hopes that they can fix this mess. To some point this relieved Findos, as she would have assumed that at this point the Grand Confederacy would have shot down one of their vessels in order to destroy the disobedient droids. She realized though that even the commanders were nervous when it came to the situation in the Outer Rim - shooting down a core ship meant more months of replacing it with a new one and the Grand Confederacy ran out of time. With the First Order dominating the upper parts of the galaxy and the core systems, other unknown powers intend to claim the rest of the Outer Rim for themselves. Blackguard was one name, the Senator had heard. She would have to question the crew and Hatoo further about them in the future, as given prior descriptions their intentions seem to be as nefarious as the ones of the First Order. For the moment though she focused upon the final moment of their mission, as she witnessed how the core ship slowly reached its ring section, uniting the ship into a fully fleshed-out Lucrehulk Controllship. Minutes passed as the process took its place before Linuy saw that the panels upon the bridge shifted. They were now in charge of the entire ship and its droids. "Alright gentlemen, let's end the charade. Are the hyperdrives fully functional?" "Positive, madame. They might be desperate, but these engines look fine to me." "Then we shall prepare our leave. Full speed ahead!"
Aboard the naval command, the Harch admiral, who was tasked with the overall command in the Vice Admiral's absence, was suddenly disturbed by one of his officers. "Sir, the Lucrehulk we spoke prior about - it intends to leave the system!" The Admiral looked up surprised, more than frustrated. Was he surrounded by monkeys or why was it possible that an entire ship was stolen right under their nose. No way that it was just malfunctioning droids. The Harch sensed already mutiny and cursed silently the foolishness of his underlings. This would never have happened if the consul was here! "Open fire upon them, destroy these turncoats!", he bellowed as he went towards the portside in order to see the ringship in question leaving the system straight at the view port, "With bombers, if you must! Nothing leaves this system without my permission." "B-but sir, there are still crewmembers on board-" "I don't care! Open fire with all present ships!" He continiued on to contact the escaping Lucrehulk. "Admiral Scazz to Lucrehulk, we order you to stop your engines at once and to lower your shields!", he commanded, "In the name of the consul you will face consequences for your treachery, but you and your crew will be destroyed if you don't surrender!" The holographic figure of a Duro appeared in front of the Admiral, yet by further inspection it became obvious that she was a Neimoidian, solely without her robes. Scazz realized that the figure was familiar despite him not being able to tell where he had already seen this individuum. ::The Galactic Alliance sends its regards, Admiral Scazz", Linuy commented dry, "We repay treason with the same treason with which your Confederacy has treated our gouvernment, withdrawing assets and support, which would have been critical during the Defense of Mon Calamari. As Cato Neimoidia's senator-in-exile I reclaim property of the Trade Federation assets in the name of the Galactic Alliance and for the freedom of our people.:: The Harch looked even more perplex when he realized what was going on, furious as he figured out the truth. "The consul will hear of your actions, Findos! This means war!" ::Oh, I hope you will tell him. Maybe he and the remnants of your crumbling domain should reconsider their allegiances once more if they don't want to die pointless against greater threats.:: "Bah, cease that petty talk at once!", the harch replied furious as he saw two Munificent-class frigates incoming already, "Blast these fools out of the sky!"
As Linuy saw that the admiral had ended the transmission, she looked towards the approaching vessels concerned. So far they were still in range of the port's graviton wells, making a jump into another system for the moment impossible. Those frigates would only be the first ones, who would chase them. The Recusants, which they had spotted earlier on were on their way towards them as well, followed by another pair of Munificents. Currently an engagement would be even, even with the space port behind them attempting to fire upon the leaving ship - yet there might be Confederacy fleets in neighbour systems as well. "Hatoo, how is the status?", she commanded her fellow captain on the other command tower, "There are two Banking Clan frigates incoming and four ships chase after us from the opposite end of the planet. Do we have enough Vultures to distract them?" ::Well, not the full compliment, there's a few hundred missing::, he noted after a while, as laser fire already hit the shields of the massive cruiser, ::We can throw these out with the Hyenas on board to inflict massive damage on those two buggers before us, but this will only work once. No guarenteed chance of destroying those ships.:: "Make it so, Captain. I don't intend to destroy them, leave them crippled behind. Our main priority is to escape this system, don't forget that." An amused laugh came out of the speaker. "Thanks for reminding me, Senator, how could I forget?", was the sarcastic answer before the transmission was ended. The senator meanwhile saw that the ships in front of them were already in firing range. As the first laser shots hit them, leaving only minor damage upon the shield hull, she still stood there, knowing that it would need more firepower to bring down an entire Droid controll ship. "Open fire.", she commanded swiftly as a majority of the ring section's turrets would aim upon the approaching ships, "Approaching enemy starfighters?" "Positive, madame", a crewmember replied, Several Vulture squadrons ahead, escorting some hyenas. Linuy nearly laughed. Well, this would be fun now.
"Uhm... sir? There are complications regarding our starfighters. They... they're turning on our frigates!" "WHAT!? Impossible!" Admiral Scazz nearly fell back dazzled as he saw from the viewport one of the Munificent's hyperdrive units explode by heavy bombardement. He realized suddenly the flaw within his strategy, having underestimated the Neimoidian's knowledge upon their own ships. The central droid brain! They were using the Separatist's own droids upon eachother! "Overwrite the old code on the droids at once, encrypt access to our units!", the Admiral dictated while he pondered about a solution, "Curses, why have we never installed droid brains on our frigates!?" "Well... Controllships don't get hijacked every day, sir..." "Shut up, you idiot, I know that! Now think, Scazz... the consul won't be happy with this..." Some awkward pause followed where the other Munificent drifted wounded around as further explosions impacted the command bridge. Well, another Tactical droid lost. The Lucrehulk was already close to the border where it could jump away, the other four ships might not catch up. Then the officer looked up in triumph! "We have restored controll, sir!", he exclaimed, "All Vulture and Hyena bombers within the system answer now to our command! They have to overwrite the port droid brain now!" Forming two triumphant fists, raising up the baton in triumph the Harch looked up excited. "Excellent! Now bomb them apart with their own weapons!" "Understood, sir!" While the bridge officer was busy in sending the commands, the Harch looked already forward to see the Lucrehulk getting stopped by its own droids. Well, in hindsight he had to congratulate the Neimoidians to their brief victory. Not that it really mattered, but Scazz nearly felt pity to destroy these clever opponents - the senator might have even made a good hostage. But well, in the end it came down to expierience and experts. And both, Scazz felt, were now on his side. After thirty seconds his pride changed into confusion, when the Lucrehulk still continiued unhindered his escape as two badly damaged Munificents drifted silently in its back, only one of them firing at the Controllship. Something wasn't right and he could tell it. "Uhm sir...", his subordinate suddenly exclaimed worried, "Regarding the control over the opponent's starfighters... there are none left. They... they kamikaze'd the entirety of a thousand vultures and bombers into... into our..." But before the officer could finish the sentence, the Droid controllship escaped to the safety of hyperspace, leaving two demolished Separatist frigates behind. When the more badly damaged one split in half as the hull desintegrated more due to the previous impact of a good portion of sacrificed Vulture droids, Admiral Scazz threw his baton furiously against the portside window and yelled in anger.

Utapau's orbitThe Eternal Night dropped out of hyperspace and entered Utapau's orbit. In the time that it took the Eternal Night to exit from hyperspace, Valafar had made his way to the bridge leaving the young sith knight in the hangar bay. The Dark Lord sat upon his command chair holding his lightsaber pike as he sat, he spoke to Commodore Zeus. ::Commodore, what is the situation? Are they any form of resistance in Utapau's orbit?::Commodore Zeus cleared his throat then proceeded to walk over to the seated Dark Lord, before answering the questions asked of him.My Lord there are three ships in orbit, two Mc140 Scythe-class battle cruiser and a single MC30C Frigate. All appear to be former Galactic Alliance vessels. They don't appear to have spotted us yet m'lord, their systems must still be in disrepair from their defeat by the First Order over Mon Cala. I suggest we send our ground forces down and our fighters out at the same time. Giving us the advantage in a surprise attack.Valafar listened to the Commodore as he spoke, he was right of course sending their ground forces down to start the invasion at the same time as their naval attack. Valafar stood up and walked over to the viewing port on the bridge before giving out his orders to the crew of the Eternal Night. ::Commodore launch our invasion and our fighters, I do not want the enemy to have time to think. We'll crush them into oblivion.:: The Commodore nodded and proceeded to give out his lord's orders over the intercom systems.Launch all fighters, engage the enemy ships and show No Mercy. Let the invasion of Utapau Begin. As soon as the Commodore gave the orders it was only a matter of minutes before all of the Eternal Night's Starfighters were launched as well as their ground forces being sent down to the surface of Utapau with the Sith Knight Captain Uhtred Xesh Witwer leading the charge. Behind his respirator Valafar grinned and thought For Honor and Glory to the Imperium.

103rd Regiment - Swift Battalion Formerly stationed on Iridonia, assigned to keep the peace and ensure the security of Maladris, after Vallius's coup and severe fighting that ultimately led to a tactical withdrawal to conserve resources and reallocated them elsewhere within the Blackguard's territory, Swift Battalion had recovered its losses and were eagerly awaiting their new assignment. Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Gibbons was quite surprised that they were moving to the frontlines, accompanying Darth Verenhimo to Utapau at the behest of General Xethuys. Eager to work out some anger and frustration, the men and women of Swift were more than ready to fight. Upon their arrival to Utapau, Knight-Captain Witwer would be their Commanding Officer for the duration of the invasion. With the launch of the fighters and the transports carrying the ground forces, Gibbons knew this was going to be one helluva show.

Utapau's Orbit
Uhtred was aboard one of many troop transports that was headed to the surface of the planet. His transport's destination was to fly over Pau City and allow him and Raptor squad to jump down to the streets of the city and start their assault within the city itself while the transport and the few troops that would remain behind would regroup with the other transports and engage Pau City from outside of the city. Uhtred calmed his eagerness for battle and focused himself on the objective of his mission, he turned and walked towards the center of the transport and activated a holo that transmitted to all other transports.
Listen up. Our Objective is clear we take Pau City and we gain control of Utapau. Take into consideration that we have no idea what kind of resistance we will meet on the surface below, kept structural damage to a minimal if you can. Anyone who resists the Imperium will be considered to be an enemy combatant, so show no mercy and show them why the Blackguard is to be feared.
With that the holo of Uhtred faded out and the transport started to enter the planet's atmosphere, soon the ground battle would begin in earnest.

Utapau's Orbit
As the ground assault continued, so did the naval battle in the planet's orbit. The Eternal Night's starfighters made short work of the enemy fighters and only had minor causalities, The Eternal Night itself made short work of the frigate and easy took down one of the two battle cruisers and as time went on the second cruiser was destroyed leaving a solid victory for the Imperium and for Valafar over Utapau's Orbit.

All forces of the Blackguard Imperium would receive a direct order from the Sith'ari himself. All Blackguard Imperium forces occupying Utapau are hereby ordered to withdraw immediately. Regroup and return to Mustafar for further assignment. This would ensure that all forces still loyal to the Imperium and the Sith'ari would withdraw from Utapau as directed. Whether or not Valafar and his personal forces followed this order, remained to be seen. Given the newfound ambition between both Venom and Valafar, the order could be followed or ignored in equal measure.

Several Solo-Class Combat Freighters exited hyperspace over Utapau. Sent at the behest of General Xethuys to retrieve the remaining troops of the 103rd Regiment and ensure all Imperium troops and assets were retrieved from the planet as per the Sith'ari's orders, the freighters descended towards the planet, and Pau City, where they would collect the last of the Blackguard troops from the planet.

Six ships exited hyperspace, well out of the way of any major shipping lanes that were likely to be used to access the planet. The lead ship, a Phaedra-Class Star Fortress, was followed by an Umbra-Class Star Destroyer, which in turn, was followed by four Evorsio-Class Frigates. Toting enough firepower to suppress the entire system if need be, the fleet was only interested in Utapau for the moment. But the Kaleesh leader wanted to keep off the radar of the Blackguard Imperium that still held the system. And as far as he knew, they were evacuating the system. Once they were gone, Xel-Tun would make his move. All he had to do now was wait.

Aboard the Eternal Night, in Utapau's orbit.Valafar was standing on the bridge when he received an alert from the conference room that a priority holo call was incoming from a Imperium Exar-Class Star Destroyer, Starkiller. This was his clan brother's flagship, Valafar turned and faced Commodore Korbin Zeus and spoke.::Commodore, alert me if anything important should occur.::The Commodore nodded to the towering Zabrak Sith Lord, then Valafar walked off the bridge and entered the conference room and activated the holographic table and an image of his clan brother appeared. He listened to what his clan brother said and thought about what the clan's best course of action should be as he still had troops on the surface of Utapau and leaving them and the campaign of Utapau would surely draw the ire of the Jen'ari and the Sith'ari. Valafar continued to think before answering his clan brother.::We should trend lightly, my brother, unless we draw the ire of the abomination that is the Jen'ari.:: Valafar paused for a moment before he continued.::I assume you have a plan of some kind, brother. I would very much like to hear it.::Valafar stood staring at his brother's image and waited to hear his plan. Valafar's forces were back aboard The Eternal Night and now they could leave Utapau and join up with his brother. He signaled the Commodore to jump to hyperspace and within a matter of moments The Eternal Night and her crew jumped into hyperspace.

The arrival of the Dark Jedi ships went unnoticed by the evacuating forces of the Blackguard Imperium. With the departure of the Eternal Night, the remaining Solo-Class Combat Freighters were quickly loaded up with the remaining troops and equipment that the Imperium wished to take with them. As soon as that was completed, the Imperium's freighters jumped away from the planet, abandoning it...or so they thought...
