*As Bal continued running, he began to hear footsteps other than his own. A quick glance behind him and he saw the Sentries on his back. He did not dare to turn and face them in combat. He would be too fatigued to fight. Instead he decided to burst into a full speed run, whether his body could handle it or not. Once he started hearing the blaster ifre, he refused to look back, but cursed himself.*
"The hell are they firing for? I thought this was a chase, not a death run. Hope they know how to run."
*Bal then began to push his legs further. He lnew he had to make it there, for he refused to lose again to Kal's trials. But the closer he got to the outpost, the more he could feel something was wrong. It was almost like something inside of him was telling him to stop running, as he continued to ignore its pleas.*

*As Bal continued running, he began to hear footsteps other than his own. A quick glance behind him and he saw the Sentries on his back. He did not dare to turn and face them in combat. He would be too fatigued to fight. Instead he decided to burst into a full speed run, whether his body could handle it or not. Once he started hearing the blaster ifre, he refused to look back, but cursed himself.*"The hell are they firing for? I thought this was a chase, not a death run. But the closer he got to the outpost, the more he could feel something was wrong. It was almost like something inside of him was telling him to stop running, as he continued to ignore its pleas.* Kal'Shor yelled out in his native tongue to the Sentries ahead of him, who stopped in their tracks when they heard the order. Kal'Shor caught up with the squad and gave the signal for silence. If the gunshots had not already given them away, he did not want whoever was lighting fires at the Outpost to know which direction they were coming from.So they ran silently, still gaining on Bal, now trying to stop him before he was betrayed by the fire's light and seen. Kal'Shor sprinted, catching up to Bal a few hundred yards still away from the Outpost. There was still time to stop him. Pushing his body even harder, he tried to get even closer before diving for Bal's legs, wrestling him to the ground and pinning him into submission. He whispered harshly into his ear.-Kal'Shor- "Do not move! Do not make a sound! Something is wrong at this Outpost. The fire is lit."Kal'Shor slowly release Bal and stood up, offering the boy his hand to help him up. He cupped his other hand over the mouth area of his mask to tell him to stay quiet.

*He continued to running until something suddenly hit him. Without any warning, he fell to the ground with great pressure. Kal had tackled him down and began to whisper in his ear. At any moment he could've done this, he could've prevented Bal from continuing. So why did he have others attack? Was he testing both sides? He didn't care, but he remained silent as Kal let him get back up. He grasped the Tusken's wrist as he helped himself up. He couldn't imagine what threat they faced, but he was prepared to defend these people.

Kal'Shor gestured towards the ground with a flattened hand and went into a crouch. As soon as the other Sentries caught up they followed his lead. Slowly they began to make their way closer to the camp. When they were close enough, Kal'Shor pulled out his monocular and zoomed in on the camp. The fire's smoke was rising into the night air. It was a bonfire. There were several other Tuskens around it, sitting and eating. They had distinct red markings on their robes. Kal'Shor could not make out the markings to figure out which clan they were from, but that did not matter at the moment.* *Kal'Shor held out his monocular to Bal.
-Kal'Shor- "Take a look."
When Bal would look through the monocular, he would see two Tusken carrying a body with the R'Crurak's blue marking and throwing it into the fire.
-Kal'Shor- "We cannot let this unprovoked act go without retaliation."

*Bal followed Kal'Shor's lead quietly. He took the binoculars from Kal and began to look in on the camp. As the body was thrown into the fire his body cringed at the sight. The Tuskens may be different, but they looked at each other as enemies, as did Jedi and Sith and other military groups. Each faced their own evil. This was the R'Crurak's enemy. Handing back the monocular, Bal half-stood and looked at Kal with a straight face.*
"What the hell are we waiting for? The burning of friends and family is insulting, and I won't stand for it. Not while I'm being trained under you. Let's take them out and show them what we can do."

Kal'shor took the monocular back and as Bal began to speak, the Dunewalker grabbed Bal and yanked him down into the sand and put a finger to Bal's lips. He slowly took his hand off after Bal was quieted and gestured down towards the sand with his palm. The other Sentries all went into a prone position and began crawling closer to the camp. Kal'Shor tapped a passing Sentry, who stopped, and Kal'Shor took the Cycler slugthrower rifle from him. He wiped the lens on the scope with his robes and held the slugthrower rifle out to Bal. He spoke ina near silent whisper.
-Kal'Shor- "How well can you shoot?"
The Sentries began to spread out around the outpost, preparing for the attack.

*Bal grinned as he took the rifle from Kal and made sure there was ammo in the rifle. He aimed down the sight for a moment and then got into a prone position as he looked down the scope to the village.*
"Well, I was trained by Mandolorians, Bounty Hunters, former Jedi, martial arts teachers and rifle specialists. You are the next people I have decided to learn from. All but my martial arts teachers and the former Jedi made sure I can shoot. If you need me to stay back and snipe, I'll make sure its clean hits on the head. All I need is the ammo to do it."

-Kal'Shor- "Good to know."
Kal'Shor rummaged around in his robes and took out a spare clip. He handed it to Bal. He then took out his monocular and prepared to spot for Bal. He sighted down the monocular and focused on a particular enemy Tusken near the center of the Outpost, close to the fire.
-Kal'Shor- "When I say fire, take out the one closest to the fire. Headshot. If you miss I will tie you up and give you fifteen lashes."
The R'Crurak Sentries were in position. Two were armed with Gaderffiis, but the other three had Cycler rifles as well, and were siting in on their targets as well. They were waiting on the first shot to be fired by Bal.
-Kal'Shor- "Fire."

*Bal quickly took the spare clip and placed it by his right hip. He stared down the sight and breathed slowly as his hands became steady. He looked over each target, but once Kal spotted the first one, his sights went on him immediately. His hands positioned themselves into a comfortable position as he watched his target. He listened to Kal, but gave him no acknowledgement. He was focused on his target and would take him out with no question. With complete focus his rifle became steady and Kal said fire. Once he finished saying fire, the first shot was taken. His aim was true and his finger released itself with quick reflexes. By the look of it, his target was shot in the middle of the head and was dead. It could have caught fire if the Tusken's body fell in the direction of the fire.
"Next target."

When the first shot rang out, the three other Sentries with Cycler rifles fired as well, taking down three more enemy Tuskens. As soon as he bodies hit the ground, five more enemy Tuskens burst from the tents of the Outpost and began firing out into the Dunes. The three Sentries with rifles began firing down to suppress them back into cover, while the other two Sentries jumped up and ran into the Outpost, taking cover behind a short synthcrete wall that had seen better years.
Kal'Shor remained calm and spotted the next target for Bal. He spoke softly, so as not to change the balance of Bal's coolness behind the scope.
-Kal'Shor- "The tent on the far left. There are two inside. Aim slightly into the tent. The slugs will pierce the Dewback leather."
As the pair continued sniping from the Dune, the three Sentries with slugthrower stood up and ran cover inside the Outpost. This would be the last chance to fire safely from this distance without risking friendly fire.

*Bal turned his attention to the tent Kal'Shor pointed out. He was confident the others would do their jobs so he only focused on his two targets. He did as ordered and made sure he could see in part of the tent. With two quick pulls, two shots rang off from the rifle and headed toward the tent. If he calculated correctly, he would've killed both targets. Once he was confident both were dead, Bal began to go to a crouch position with the rifle being lowered for a quick moment.*
"I assume we need a different position. Can't take out enemies with the risk of friendlies. If you need me for melee, just say so."

-Kal'Shor- "I want one of them alive. Get closer, but aim to disable now."
Kal'Shor grabbed his Gaderffii from Bal, which had been the one he had been tasked to carry, and began running towards the Outpost. Shots rang out in his direction, but they were misses, as he ducked and rolled, zig zagged, and made it to the Outposts small synthcrete wall perimeter. He ducked in front of it and peeked his head over the side. There were still three Tuskens on this side, from the amount of shooting coming at him.* *The enemy Tuskens reloaded their rifles and kept them at the ready to fire at anyone they saw that was not an ally.
The two Sentries with their Gaderffii moved further into the camp, taking out several other enemy Tuskens close range, while the three with Cycler rifles rained more suppression fire on the remaining three enemy Tuskens. The Tuskens back down behind a half broken section of the sythcrete wall, returning fire at every chance to keep the R'Crurak behind cover of their own.

*Bal only nodded as he got up in a crouched stance and began to move to the side. He got a perfect clean view of the tent as he adjusted his aim. He looked quickly for where he could disable his targets effeitvely. Finding heir legs, Bal decided to shoot four times, each shot taking out both legs of the Tuskens that stood there.
"Let's hope they aren't too stubborn about the pain."

As soon as Kal'Shor heard Bal's shots, the Dunewalker jumped over the old synthcrete wall and charged at the enemy Tuskens. They were yelling in pain, gripping their legs. Kal'Shor swung his gaderffii at the closest one's head, it impacting with a sickening smack, and he fell to the ground, unconscious. The other he lifted, using his body's momentum from the swing to throw into one of the tents of the outpost as he reached for his rifle. The tent collapsed, and the Tusken groaned.
On the other side, two of the Sentries with their gaderffii Sentries advanced as well. The enemy Tuskens had been largely dealt with, and the remaining few were running from the Outpost into the Dunes. The three Sentries with their rifle shot out at them, but they were already too far away. They had only managed to shoot two of the six they had seen.
As the fight came to an end, Kal'Shor went around checking the enemy Tuskens, getting the living ones and piling up the dead ones. In total there were four still alive. They were bound and tied using material from the collapsed tent, and their wounds were treated for temporary relief. They were not going to die....yet...
Kal'Shor waved Bal down to the Outpost from his vantage point.
-Kal'shor- "You did well, Bal-Savi."

*Bal nodded for his thanks as he watched Kal's group do its thing. He did not shoot the fleeing Tuskens at all though, already knowing the battle was won. The rifle he held felt hot though, having not held one before... it was new to him. He sighed and lowered it as he looked around the Outpost. Its was nice and small... but the stench of death polluted the area. He could barely stand it.*
"Thank you. Can I ask what we will be doing with the captured ones?"

Kal'Shor was standing front and center in front of the captured Tuskens, his arms crossed as he glared down on the P.O.W.s. He went to the most injured one, who had been shot twice in the legs as well as hammered by his gaderffii. Kicking the Tusken flat on his side, and pinning him, Kal'Shor stuck a finger in the gunshot wounds through the bandages they had placed, digging around in the wound. The Tuskens screamed and howled at the pain, and even the R'Crurak Sentries turned away.
Kal'Shor bent down to the enemy Tusken's face mask and whispered something to him, which seemed to cause the Tusken even more distress, for he was now trying desperately to escape, though he was pinned. The other captured Tuskens looked to each other in horror. They did not know what had been said, but they did not want to find out.
After a few minutes of the enemy Tusken shaking his head, Kal'Shor took out his knife and plunged it into the Tuskens chest, right where his heart was. The Tusken flailed around for a few more moments before becoming still. Kal'Shor stood up and wiped the blood of his knife on the side of his robes. He then walked over to another captured Tusken, leaning down, and whispering something in his ear as well. The Tusken began shaking his head in disbelief, and chanting a prayer over and over again. Kal'Shor slit his throat, the blood quickly spilling out from his body and onto the sand. The Tusken slumped and fell over on the ground, lifeless.
Kal'Shor moved down the line to the next P.O.W., wiping his knife once again. The Tusken spat curses in his native tongue, and Kal'Shor answer them with running his blade straight down into the Tusken's head. The death was not instant, but Kal'Shor did not let it last long, for he twisted the blade in the Tusken's head. Blood and brain oozed out from the wound, and the Tusken seemed to stay in a state of almost alive, as if he was about to say something. Soon even that feeling disappeared, and he too slumped to the ground.
Kal'Shor once again moved down the line to the final Tusken, again also wiping his knife on his robes, which had now become rather bloody where he had been wiping on his arm. He glared down at the enemy Tusken, who began spilling his guts about who they were, what clan they were from, why they were sent here, and where their clan was based prior to the recent sandstorm. Anything that he thought Kal'Shor wanted to know he screamed out in terror to try and save his own life.
Kal'Shor moved behind him and cut the binds on the Tusken's hands and feet. The Tusken looked around frantically before taking off, clutching his arm, which had been shot, and speaking incoherently as he disappeared into the sands. Kal'Shor looked at Bal.
-Kal'Shor- "That is what we do with the live ones. If he makes it back, he will tell them what happened when they dared attack us."

*Bal slowly saw Kal'Shor go into a dark state. He could feel the emotions off him as if it was intoxicating. He watched Kal whisper something into one of the prisoner's ears, but when the knife came out, he turned his head. It wasn't because he would be sick... but he knew that Kal would not hold back, and he didn't want to see that. He wanted to confront his mentor, but he didn't want to stand in the Tusken's way, for fear of dying by his hand. Once it ended and Bal turned back to Kal'Shor, he began to shake his head.*
"I don't care if you call me naive, but fear is not the only way to teach a lesson to those who have done wrong. It may be your way, but it will never be mine, mentor or not."

Kal'Shor stared Bal down, putting his knife away and walked closer to Bal. He glared down at the young man.
-Kal'Shor- "We do not live on a civilized planet, Dunewalker apprentice. Tatooine is a wild, unforgiving world. Those that cross us, will know they crossed us. It is the only thing they understand. The idea of peace among clans does not exist to those that live in the wilds. They continue to attack us unprovoked, and must be taught a lesson. If Councilor Or'Rish was still alive, he would have already given out the Order to slaughter them all."
Kal'Shor made a swirling motion above his head, and the other Sentries began cleaning up the outpost. They would remain here until reinforcements arrived. Kal'Shor turned back to Bal.
-Kal'Shor- "Violence is not always the answer, but you can not reason with those that would rather rip out your intestines than sit down and speak."

*Bal only sighed and nodded his head. He was still in doubt of killing those they proved were weaker than themselves, but he could understand the pain and anger of seeing people you are supposed to protect die by fools and savages. It was harsh, but he learned to get over it. But he wouldn't dare attempt to lecture Kal to lower his anger, due to it ould make him rash... but he already saw Kal do it himself... even if it was subtle and barely there at all.*
"I.... understand. I just never have liked seeing the blood of unarmed combatants being spread like wildfire. I'll try and remember those words, but I'm not sure if they'll stay."

Kal'Shor began making his way to the edge of the Outpost, preparing to leave and head back to the Enclave.
-Kal'Shor- "You come from mostly civilized worlds, Bal. I do not expect you to fully understand. The R'Crurak strive for peace, but we cannot let other clans attack us without consequence. The Dunewalkers were created to protect the clan, using any means necessary, but we do not take prisoners unless that is our mission. The message I sent will make our enemies think again about attacking us in the future. My goal has been achieved, but I do not take pride in killing my kin, no matter what clan they are from."
Kal'Shor untied his water bladder and took a deep drink from the half empty water container.
-Kal'Shor- "If you take anything from this, it is to try and find a better way to resolve an impossible situation with everyone coming out ahead. I gave each of them a chance to live, and they preferred death than going back to their camp in shame. To be defeated is to be dishonored. The Warrior that I let go will more than likely be killed by his allies after relaying the message I told him. If he has any honor left, he will accept his death for failing his clan. Two generations ago, the R'Crurak were just like the other clans. We are better than them and yet we still have to stoop to their level."
Kal'Shor turned to Bal and tossed the water bladder to him, nodding his head for Bal to drink.
-Kal'Shor- "You failed your objective to get the Chieftain's Gaffii to the Outpost, but I will overlook this failure because of the circumstances. You did well...."
