The Ebon slowed out of hyperspace and was just outside of Tatooines orbit.
The power of the force flowed through my body, I craved more every second, it felt like I could do anything, even pull a star destroyer out of orbit on to a planet with ease. I was getting more and more powerful, the ship started to shake because of how much I wanted the power. It was consuming me, there was so much, it felt like it was never ending. But where was it all coming from? Thats the one thing I was confused about, where was all the power coming from. It all started when I had my cybernetic heart put in. Was it one of the drugs? The metal chunk Darth Gazir stabbed me with? Maybe something the doctor did gave me power? Nothing made sense but I like it. I never had felt so good in my entire life, I was finally happy, it was silent. But I was confused. There had to be somewhere that all this power was coming from, but where? Maybe a Jedi, a Sith? This power sure felt amazing. I felt like nobody could even get near me, I would destroy them in an instant. Then, a comlink from down on the planet called and I picked up.
Are you alright? I repeat, are you alright, your ship is taking on too much damage to the hyperdrive, I reccomend landing immediately and get that looked at before its too late.
-Axiatinc Okay sir, I will try to land, make sure there is a landing pad available when I land.
The ship, still shaking from my immense power, headed towards Tatooine.

A personal freight-class vessel slowed upon its exit from hyperspace, littered with small holes and gashed pieces of hull. Obviously, this ship was attacked by a much larger vessel, yet its passenger was unfettered and uncaring. A lone Zeltron woman sat at the cockpit of the small ship, guiding it towards Tatooine's open orbit as it drifted closer towards the planet. She pushed a thick lock of bright red hair from her eyes and flipped a few switches and levers to make ready for docking. A thin slash spread down her left cheek from her previous space battle, blood slowly trickling out from it. She was used to such small pains, suffering far worse torments in her previous excursion to known space. She was tired from her long journey, yet determined to find what she was looking for. Numbers flashed before her on the navi-computer, showing her the current date. She almost couldn't believe what she saw - fifty years had passed since she escaped her Sith Master's torture - she had been running in the unknown reaches of space for too long.
"Fifty years? How...?"
The Zeltron woman shook her head and sighed - she knew very well that this could have been from when she jumped through a wormhole on the very edge of the galaxy... yet she had no choice. She had to escape the evils that her master had planned for her, yet all she felt now was disappointment. All of her friends and family - gone before she could even say goodbye. Tears softly caressed her cheeks as those memories haunted her, yet she wouldn't cry out - she refused to ever cry out again, feeling no hurt, no pain - only the emptiness of loss and anguish. She longed to feel joy again, so very desperately - something to fight for again. And on Tatooine - though she couldn't understand exactly why - she knew that here it would be found.
=Lucy= Mos Eisley, this is Lucy Vermillion of the Diplomatica, requesting permission to land. Do you copy?
=Mos Eisley= Copy, Diplomatica, this is the Mos Eisley Port Authority. Something's not right here - says here that your ship's been declared missing for half a century. Something you want to tell us about, miss Vermillion?
=Lucy= No. If there's a fee, I'll pay it, just let me dock please. I'll answer any questions you've got upon my arrival.
=Mos Eisley= Sounds reasonable enough. Come on down to the surface, ma'am - sending docking coordinates now, over and out.
At this, the Zeltron woman - aptly named Lucy Vermillion - punched in the provided coordinates and made for the planet's surface. The ship was torn up rather horribly, yet it was still somehow space-worthy after the wormhole incident. She had hoped for a warmer welcome than what she'd received - hopefully these port authorities didn't think she'd stolen her own ship. She made her way over to the docks.

Exile. Thats what it was. There was not other word to more accurately describe his assignment in the Outer RIm. While it was the duty of the jedi to respond to requests for assistance, there were others that could be sent. It appeared that the Council had finally had enough of Alaric's criticism and militarism. Since he and his crew had been unfrozen from stasis, Alaric and his companions had had difficulty transitioning back into the galaxy. There was an existential weight upon their collective conscious that nothing had changed despite the thousands of years they had been asleep. The endless ebb and flow of war and conflict was mind numbing. The jedi order had been pushed to the brink of extinction and recovered a dozen times, and so had their mortal enemies, the Sith.
The thought that even the most powerful force user's accomplishments were ultimately futile in the battle against the darkness were inconsequential plagued Alaric's thoughts. They had perhaps led him to take a more hardline approach to the conflict against the First Order than the mainstream combatants. Alaric's take no prisoner's approach, total war and fanatical drive to take the fight to the enemy had caused concern within the jedi order. The last straw was Alaric's use of tractor beams on asteroids which his vessels used to bombard a First Order military installation on a far off moon. It was brutally effective and Alaric's callous disregard for the lives that had been swiftly snuffed out had troubled the jedi.
The Council was eager to remove Alaric from the front-lines and the reports of a monstrous beast slaughtering farmers and isolated settlements on a backwater Galactic Alliance World was the justification they needed to remove him.
Alaric's Lambda Class Shuttle emerged from Hyperspace above the desert world of Tatooine. He was on a mission to find hunters to help him track the creature. He had heard that Tatooine attracted bounty hunters, adventurers, scouts alike. The Shuttle's wings folded up as it descended into the planet's atmosphere.

A slight flash of bluish light and a flicker across the starfield precded the arrival of a single Mandalorian Bes'uliik fighter into the Tatooine system. Bathed in the light of the twin suns, the fighter angled toward the desert world and rocketed toward orbit. Several minutes later, another, larger flash preceded the arrival of a flying relic.
The "relic" was an elderly, to put it kindly, model of bulk freighter that had gone out of service centuries before. Not one section of hull seemed to match the others in colouration, or, if a scan brushed across to find out, metallic composition. She'd been rebuilt so many times from scrap and spares that any parts from the original vessel were a distant memory. A none-too-clean nameplate matched her IFF as the Venerable Trader, out of Concordia.
Kaine Australis, in the Bes'uliik wasn't broadcasting an IFF at all. Anyone that could detect the sleek craft as a Bes'uliik knew enough to leave well enough alone, and no civilian or day tripper would even pick him up on scanner.
The former Mand'alor keyed his comm. I hope you haven't brought the geriatrics to match the ship.
The Venerable Trader's captain, venerable himself at 78 years old spluttered and reached for the comm to let out an irritated retort, but an armored arm and gauntlet in black and green got there first. We thought you'd be enough to satisfy quotas, old man.
Kaine grinned behind his visor. Su'cuy'gar, nervod. What have you brought then, you cheeky shabuir?
Darzeka Australis, owner of the gauntleted arm that had gotten to the comm first, long time second in command of Clan Australis, and thirty five year veteran himself responded lightning fast to his alor's jibe. Would a shabuir have brought you fifty likely lads and their kit, after two years of no word?
Despite having prepared himself, that stung Kaine. Zeka was dead right, he'd abandoned his lads. He needed to make that right. Kaine resolved, this time, he'd do right by them. Time to show the younger lads what it meant to get knocked down and keep getting back up. Once more, unto the breach, and all that poetic nonsense.
The pause was only a microsecond longer than normal, which told Darzeka his point was well recieved. Kaine's response was barely delayed. I suppose you can have the job then. Mos Eisley Spaceport, I think, then straight to the outskirts and rendezvous. If we go near Chalmun's we'll be here for weeks. Business first, let the lads know.
See you dirtside. He cut the comm, opened the throttles, and dropped from orbit, leaving the ancient freight hauler to wallow its way into a stable orbit and drop a pair of shuttles, which matched Kaine's course towards Mos Eisley...

*High above Tatooine's orbit, sat a lone C-ROC Gozanti-class cruiser. The Seeker looked like nothing more than a well used freighter making a casual cargo run. In reality, this unassuming vessel was carrying a very important cargo. Younglings, all of whom were clones, each were highly skilled in their own way even for their young age. The vessels destination was a secret base on the planets surface, one designed to further each childs abilities.*
*Breaking from high orbit, the Seeker began a slow steady decent towards the planets surface. Even on such a backwater planet where criminal activity thrived, the pilots were careful as to hide their real intentions. The large vessel eventually dropped into the planet's atmosphere and headed towards its destination planetside.*

“We're coming out of hyperspace,” said Gina, who sat adjacent from the man with a world-weary expression on his face as their ship, the Emerald Star, left hyperspace, and they appeared over the horrid ball of sand that was Tatooine. “And we're safely out. Plotting a course for Mos Eisley. We can get all that we need from there. In and ou...hmm.”“What is it, luv?” said Jaime, just as a green R2 unit rolled in from the lounge.“Nothing really important,” replied the Human Replica Droid, “just a Gozanti-class cruiser. I can run a quick scan to see what it's about, but it looks like it's just minding its own business.”“Don't scan it,” said Jaime, his hand resting over Gina's, “you'll give us away. Run passive scanners only, and activate our ECM suites. They'll only see us if someone's looking out the window.” He peered out at the vessel. The ship was further ahead, and nearly entering orbit. But something nagged at him, and loathe as he was to heed the call, he felt drawn towards the vessel.“You want to go after that?” said Gina, looking surprised. “That's a cruiser, and it's probably heavily armed.”“That "cruiser" is only over sixty meters long, and we're not exactly defenseless.” He referred to the Emerald Star, which was well over thirty meters in length, and had been heavily modified over the years with significant weapons, shielding and various other countermeasures that would surprise any force with its capacity. “Let's see where this ship heads.” “Care to explain why?” asked Gina even as she complied, adjusting the ship's course and plotted a discreet path well behind the cruiser. “I mean, there's a Maka Eekai over there that looks just as interesting as this one.”“Just something...” Jaime offered distractedly, “...You wouldn't understand.” “There's a lot about humans I don't understand.” said Gina, a hint of bitterness in her tone, “but whatever.”Jaime spared the HRD a compassionate look. Gina had been built seemingly for many purposes, one of which was companionship. Her previous owners simply abandoned her, or suffered some terrible fate, which left Gina alone on a planet, abandoned and confused. When he found her, she'd been deactivated, possibly by an electromagnetic pulse or her batteries simply ran out of energy and she had no means to recharge. Now, she had a new purpose with him, as a co-pilot and mechanic. Her synthetic flesh and design was so advanced he often wondered if she ought to be classified as a cyborg rather than a droid. It seemed as though part of her design was to evolve, become more than she was created to be. If so, Jaime might be in ownership of the first droid that was several steps closer to achieving sentience and an organic status.“We'll stay in the ship's blind spot,” said Jaime as he steered the freighter along Gina's inputted route, “and adjust our plan as we go along.” “Well as long as we have a plan. I didn't know one was made in the last ten seconds.” said Gina in a happy tone. R2-I3 warbled his agreement with his fellow droid.“Oh pipe down, you two.”

Tatooine. A once lush world, covered in dense forests and vast oceans. Destroyed by the rampages of an ancient Empire, leaving the world broken and desolate. All that remained of this former glory were vast salt flats and oceans of sand dunes. Of course, this past glory didn’t cross Gygryth’s mind as the Fury-Class Transport approached the planet. It could be considered odd that a Sith would be visiting such a barren world, but there was a very specific reason he had traveled this far, to such a remote world. He contacted Tatooine Orbital Control. He angled the ship towards one of the salt flats just outside of Mos Eisley. The last thing he needed was to draw scavengers to his ship. Beneath his helmet, he smirked slightly as he sped towards the planet.

As the Midnight Seven jumped out of hyperspace, there was an inversion field of translucent energy that folded in and of itself before the shuttle emerged. And Ruubin's sensors and charts lit up with alarms ringing, warning him that something had happened. “Hyperdrive's been shot, but I can fix that later...I think.” He informed the Jedi who sat in the co-pilot's chair, keeping him company. “Suppose it would've been too much to ask for this whole thing to go off without a hitch, huh? Hey...wait a minute...”
He looked at the celestial calculator and the chronodater, both of which was shifting numbers at an alarming rate, and his eyes widened with horror, “No, not again...not again...!”
He heaved a sigh of relief when the dates corrected themselves and started showing the present time and date once more. Only a few days...backwards. He was going to have to be wary about any ship and their hyperdrives, it seemed. “Interesting news...we might be a few days early. The hyperdrive created an unstable hyperspace field around us and folded time and space...there's probably ourselves still on Corellia right now.”
He checked to make sure the sublight engines were working, before he made his way towards the last known coordinates of the Emerald Star.

"Interesting news? Interesting is not the word I would use," Honon Trujillo, a nineteen year old Korun Jedi Padawan that is, at the moment, wishing he had never heard of Ruubin or the mission that has brought them all here, all but whines after Ruubin has, quite blithely in Honon's opinion, announced that they have traveled backwards in time.
"Calm down," Kateri Trujillo, Honon's younger sister and fellow Jedi Padawan, tells her brother, a troubled frown on her face as she considers the possible implications of what Ruubin has revealed.
Laughing shakily, Honon throws his arms up in the air in panicked exasperation, "Easy for you to say! There's two me's and you's and, he points with an accusatory glare at Ruubin, him's and us all's in the universe thanks to this, he swats the arms of the chair he is seated in, piece of junk of, he points at Ruubin again, his! This is not good! It violates the laws of . . . . something I'm sure! More than one something probably! This is bad, he begins massaging his temples and moaning, this is very, very bad."
Mostly ignoring her brother's panic, Kateri pats his back comfortingly as she muses, "Not necessarily. So long us the us on Corellia do as we've done, and we don't do anything that has an effect on . . . crinkling her nose as she realizes that there are actually a variety of things that they should be wary of in order to prevent any change in the timeline that is required for them to maintain their existence as they know it, she says with far less certainty than before, I mean, I'm sure it'll be fine, then clears her throat and asks Ruubin, So, how far did we go back again?"
Groaning as he sees through Kateri's attempts to appear calm, Honon moans, "What about the butterfly effect, huh? The beat of a wing is all it takes! I'd say that two us's constitutes at least the beat of a fripping wing, don't you? I mean, how do we resolve the whole two all of us's situation? That can't go on. It violates . . . "
Lifting a hand to shush her brother, Kateri says, "Laws and principles, yes, we know. You've said. Shrugging her shoulders, Kateri says with more hope than confidence, We'll just have to trust that the Force will guide us on the path that avoids any disruption of the natural order of things."
"Any more disruption you mean," Honon moans, lowering his head into his hands to cradle it once more.
"Right, Kateri agrees with a shaky smile as she turns to Ruubin and says, Well, I suppose we'd best land and link up with Jaime and his friends, hadn't we?"
Kaiya, fortunate enough to be with Hyatt, Sharee, Vaayla, and the Crimson Commandos discussing their proposed plan of action and therefore blissfully unaware of the situation that Ruubin, Honon and Kateri are trying to come to terms with, looks away from the others briefly as she feels the ship making a course adjustment and beginning to descend as they begin the trip to Tatooine's surface, sensing some kind of discord coming from her friends in the cockpit. Trusting that she will learn what is troubling Kateri and Honon soon enough, Kaiya returns her attention to the ongoing discussion of their plan of action once they join forces with Jaime and his comrades.

Ruubin was mildly amused by Honon's reaction. Their journey had been nothing short of eye-opening. To Ruubin, most Jedi tended to be quite calm and collected, but Honon could have fooled him as any other person if the Corellian-born native had not been made aware to the fact beforehand that he was a Jedi. Honon's sister, Kateri was much calmer and easier to talk to. She reminded him a little in some ways of his long lost niece, and he once again wondered what became of her. And it was interesting how time seemed to be in a constant flux around him. After letting Honon and Kateri talk out what he'd just told them, he gave Honon an unreadable look and said, “I suppose it won't make you feel better if I told you that I actually jumped forward in time nearly ten years because of another hyperspace field incident? Haven't been able to go back since.”
He checked the chronometer, “We went backwards about two days and three hours, Kateri...oh...we've got company. That's a Gozanti cruiser coming up at us. Everyone brace yourselves!”

*High above the sand swept landscape of Tatooine, sat a lone AIAT/i gunship. The Gladiator, as it was called, lazily drifted in the planets orbit. Old and fresh scars and carbon scouring stood out against the bright light from thesystems twin suns. Even at a glance, the ship appeared to be a fierce contender for anyone who dared disturb it. The captain herself didn't even feel like bothering the ship, but for different reasons entirely.*
*Ellie watched the desert planet below and all the traffic that came and went. Even though she was watching it all, her mind was a million miles away. There was more than enough buzzing around in her head, that not even this solo mission could distract her. What had her thoughts now was the massive work load that came with being the Aliit'alor of clan Ordo. She was beginning to wonder if she was cut out for such a job.*
*Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a white flash as a ship dropped out of hyperspace. Something about it caught her attention as she turned her focus on it. The ship was a C-ROC Gozanti-class cruiser, an unassuming ship in most ways. There was something about it, some secret thing that kept her attention focused on it, but she couldn't figure out what.*
*Then Ellie felt it. A bizarre tug in the force, one filled with both familiarity and obscurity. The feeling was like nothing she had fefelfefelt before, like the force twisted itself in a unique way. She didn't have long to dwell on the felling as another ship dropped out of hyperspace. With a quick flash of light, a Bantha class assault ship dropped into real space. Ellie eyed both ships for only a second, that's all she needed to realize that they were headed straight for one another. Dred filled Ellie as she braced for what might happen. As she sabk into the force to calm herself, she picked up a force signature that caught her offguard. So much so that she almost forgot about wjat was happening in front of her and whispered a name in question.* "Kaiya?"

Midnight Seven - Command pod
Moaning, his complexion paling as he considers the implications of Ruubin having already traveled forward in time due to a past hyperspace field incident, Honon shakes his head and tells Ruubin, "No, no it doesn't make me feel any better. Not at all. Quite the opposite, actually. Looking over to his sister, he asks, Does that mean that there are three of him in the universe simultaneously now?"
Shrugging her shoulders, having decided that her advice about trusting that the Force will, so long as they listen and heed any of It's guidance, ensure that they do no harm to the universe despite the fact that they are in violation of what many consider inviolate laws, Kateri says, "In all probability, yes. Lifting a hand before Honon can whine worriedly any further, Kateri advises him to, Focus on those things that we can change, Honon, accept those that we . . ."
His sister already having been interrupted by Ruubin's announcement that they have a cruiser coming towards their position, his tone suggesting that the cruiser's intentions appear to be hostile, Honon despairs aloud while buckling his safety harness and then obsessively re-checking it, "We're doomed."
Lower hull
Kaiya, brows furrowed as she briefly feels a familiar and yet somehow also unfamiliar presence in the Force, is in the midst of trying to determine the identity of the presence when Ruubin's announcement about bracing themselves comes over the assault shuttle's intercom. "Ellie? Kaiya whispers questioningly, some internal gear clicking into place and allowing her to determine that it was her twin's presence she felt; the fact that there was something less mature about the presence making it difficult at first to make the identification. Shaking her head, the fact that everyone else is suddenly buckling themselves sufficient enough a prompt for her to attend more to the situation at hand than the mystery of why it is that her twin's presence felt more in flux and immature than she recalls it having been for quite some time, Kaiya follows their example and begins fastening her safety harness.

*Ellie felt it now stronger than ever. What pulled at her through the force was in fact her twin. She just wasn't sure which ship though. Something else tugged at her senses, something so familiar it should have been easy to place a name to. But it didn't make sense because that feeling shouldn't be feeling that signature in the force.*
*She dragged the Gladiator out of its slumber and gave life to its engines. Her sister was here, that much was sure, as was...simething else. Ellie needed to know what and why as she began to turn the gunship towards the other vessels. First, she needed to figure out which ship her sister was on. Closing her eyes, she sank deep into the force with an absolute calm. Everything was pushed aside as her mind searched for Kaiya. Then, as if guided under its own will, the Gladiator slowly turned and leveled off facing the Bantha-class assault ship.*
*That all to familiar and nagging presence did its best to try and distract Ellie from getting a lock on her twin. Ignoring the feeling was hard do to what the feeling could mean, but it was quickly shoved aside. Ellie slowly breathed out and entered a deep calm that she only believed her master could achieve, and reached out with the force to her twin. In an instant, she felt as if she was standing next to her sister. Enough so that she could swear she almost saw her. She held the image in her mind as she tried to speak to Kaiya.* "Vod? Can you hear me? Are you really here?"

Midnight Seven - Lower hull
Confusion evident on her features as she feels her twin's presence simultaneously grow stronger while also feeling as though it, at least in part, fades slightly, Kaiya struggles to make sense of what she senses as Ellie's voice, or at least her memory of it as it is not vocal communication that she and her sister are attempting to establish, comes from within her head as well as, at least from her perspective, from without. Opening her eyes, Kaiya is greeted by what appears to be an image of Ellie, seated as though in the pilot's seat of her ship for reasons Kaiya can can only, for now, guess at.
Leaning forward and opening her mouth as though to speak, Kaiya nearly does in fact speak aloud before, putting two and two together and determining that she and her sister have forged a strong enough telepathic connection that they are appearing to one another as opposed to Ellie having somehow miraculously rifted into the Midnight Seven, Kaiya closes her mouth and focuses on maintaining the connection tethering their minds together. Initially feeling her mind pulled in two directions, as though Ellie is physically in orbit somewhere over Tatooine as well as, impossibly, somewhere on the desert world's surface, Kaiya focuses on the sense of her twin coming from orbit and, when she feels the telepathic connection between them snap more strongly into place, telepathically tells her twin, the elation the closeness of their telepathic bond brings to her as easy, if not moreso, to sense within her emotions as is the concern that Ruubin's warning about the cruiser approaching their position gives rise to, I can hear you, or feel your thoughts is, I suppose, more accurate isn't it? Consciously preventing her thoughts from wandering further down the path that her desire to be at all times as accurate as possible invites within her, Kaiya conveys to her sister that, I'm really here, yes. Are you too? I'm in an assault shuttle, I think. You know how good I am with ship descriptions, a current of amusement briefly laces her thoughts be Kaiya reigns them in as before to ask, Why are you here, assuming you are here that is.

*A let out a sharp breath when she felt a snap as her sister strengthened their connection. A small grin formed on her face as she almost saw, or more pictured, her twin in the ship nearby.* The assault ship. That's the one you're on. *She shifted the ships flight path to bring it parallel with the assault ship.*Yeah, I'm really here and I'm glad you're here. *She fround some when her twin asked why she was here. That was harder too answer.* They why is...complicated. At least to much so to explain right now. My question is why are you here?

Midnight Seven - Lower hull
Kaiya feels the right corner of her lips curl upward in the beginnings of a smile (that would have been more pronounced had there not been the impending sense of danger emanating from Ruubin after his announcement about the approaching ship) as her twin explains that any explanation of why she is here now would be a complicated one, teasingly inquiring telepathically of her sister, When are things not complicated with you, vod? I'm glad you're here, complicated as it may be to explain why it is that you are here, Kaiya informs her sister before answering the question that Ellie had posed for her, electing to do so via images culled from her memories as it will be both more quick to do so and more complete an answer than time would allow were she making the attempt verbally, playing back her memories of Ruubin's appearance on Corellia at the Jedi academy, his description of what his brother-in-law had stumbled onto on Tatooine, and adding her memories of the footage recorded by Jaime or his companion which Ruubin had shown her, showing younglings being led into a desert stronghold. The memories completely replayed, Kaiya adds a mental shrug that her image in Ellie's ship relays by way of shrugging its shoulders while appearing to say in a bemused tone despite the danger they would appear to have jumped into, You know, just the usual Jedi saving the day stuff.

*Ellie rolled her eyes at her twins comment and gave an exaggerated sigh.* Yeah, but at least I'm not boring.* *Instead of a verbal response from her sister, she recieved a barrage of mental images. Mainly just bits and pieces of people she didn't know, armed guards and a group of younglings. All this seemed to mount up to the usual odd adventures she got stuck on. Luckily her sister was here with her this time. As the images faded, she shook her head clear and flinched at the sudden change.* First off. Oww. Second, this seems like just another day to me. So...technically I've been doing Jedi saving the day stuff for a while then. *She pushed that thought aside and turned her attention back to what she saw.* Alright, who are these kids and what group has them? I've never seen them before.

“Actually, there's only two...me, right now, and my past-future self on Corellia, telling you all about this. Sorry, buddy.” Ruubin knew this whole time-travel thing was dangerous, but it wasn't like he tried to do it on purpose. Still, he supposed he ought to look into any ship he flew to make sure the hyperspace engines didn't foul up this badly ever again. Ignoring the time paradoxes for the moment, he focused on the immediate issues, namely the Gozanti that was coming up to meet him, and the AIAT gunship moving up along his flank that his active sensors just told him about. Thanks to the rather wide-angle canopy of the bridge, he got a good look at the battered but deadly looking vessel.
Turning on his intercom again, he asked the gathered Jedi and Crimson Commandos, “Okay, any reason why there's a AIAT gunship moving up alongside my shuttle? Did anyone call for a friend? Would be good to know.”
There was no more time to think or hear an answer as he had to abruptly bank hard to port to avoid collision when the Gozanti cruiser barreled right through the path of both ships, firing its turbolasers as it passed. The starboard flank of his shuttle suffered damage to the shield and even the hull as some of the laser bolt's potency bled through the energy barriers and scorched the duraplate surface. “Ah...just our luck. They modified their weapons...big time.”
Wheeling the ship in a turn so fast, the inertial dampeners couldn't quite compensate and everyone on board would have briefly felt an increase in gravity for a second as Ruubin brought his shuttle's weapons to bear, firing both quad turbolasers and cursed silently as he saw his return fire dissipate harmlessly against the Gozanti's shields. The cruiser meanwhile, turned about and was making another pass, firing at both the gunship and his shuttle, as well as two proton torpedoes, one at him and one at the other. “Oh boy...TORPEDO INCOMING!”
That was on a wide open com and intercom, informing even the gunship about it, since it seemed that the Gozanti was targeting both of them, and it appeared to be more than a match for them both. He tried firing his turbolasers at the warhead, but his weapon's rate of fire and auto-aiming system wasn't able to match the speed, not even his concealed autoblaster below the cockpit was able to track the weapon and it impacted, rocking the ship violently, and knocking out the remainder of his ship's shields. Red lights and alarms blared as the ship suffered multiple system failures and some consoles shorted out. He only barely had controls of his ship left. “If any Jedi knows a few tricks for avoiding a crash landing, now's a good time to let me know!”
As all this happened, his sensors picked up another ship approaching.

“Target confirmed,” said Gina, “Got the Gozanti in my sights.”
“I'll take it from here,” said Jaime, “Ruubin's in that shuttle, and I don't know who the blazes is in the gunship, but it looks like the Gozanti's gunning for both, so we all take on the cruiser first and sort out the rest later.”
“Got it. Readying weapons.”
R2-I3 warbled that he was ready with the autoblasters, “Ah Ruubin, you're still flying that junk heap.” The Emerald Star began firing a barrage of lasers and let fly with two concussion missiles. The freighter's weaponry and shielding was on par with this cruiser and as he blasted past the shuttle and gunship, he keyed in a text-only message informing them that he was rendering assistance and would take care of the cruiser. Judging by the shuttle's condition, Ruubin was going to be lucky if he could land that thing without killing everyone, but there was little he could do in that regard save to keep the cruiser off their backs.
“It's returning fire!” Gina announced.
“Took it bloody long enough,” Jaime banked his ship to starboard and let R2-I3 and Gina have a go at the cruiser, exchanging more laser fire. When they picked up the transponders of the Midnight Sun, Jaime was amazed how quickly Ruubin had responded, and wondered just how close by he must have been. If they survived this, Jaime mused that he and Ruubin would have to talk. It had been many years now.
