Lorcan Bralor, the younger brother of Faelan Bralor, had been enjoying a pot of behot shig spiced with a generous splash of tihaar when a panicked lad had bolted into the oyu'baat. Sighing when the source of the lad's panic revealed herself shortly after he had begun to bolt for the refuge of the bar, Lorcan downed the last of the shig in his mug and told his current drinking companion, a blonde haired lass with green eyes and a promisingly mischievous grin, to excuse him for a moment.
Grumbling about his brother's tendency to take in mangy strays, Lorcan tucks his blue and grey buy'ce under an arm and waves to the barkeep as he calls out in Mando'a, "I'll handle the little dinii, Murtagh. Cautiously resting a hand on Raine's shoulder, as though ready to withdraw it in a moments notice should it seem he is in any danger of being bitten, kicked, or otherwise abused for the gesture, Lorcan clucks his tongue and, his amused grin diminishing the overall impact of his half-hearted admonition, shakes his head as he says to Raine, Can't go a day without getting into a scrap, can you? My brother should consider keeping you on a shorter leash I think, Lorcan jokes, the fact that he admires Raine's spirit and can emphasize with her quick temper plain enough to see for a moment until he remembers that he is supposed to be disciplining the girl, if only for the barkeep's sake. Come on then, Lorcan tells Raine, let's go sit, have a nice cuppa, and discuss your penance for this latest transgression."

*Raine looked up at the woman. She blushed some in embarrassment as she thanked the woman quietly before wiping the remaining blood away. She stiffened some as someone placed a hand on her shoulder and spoke in a familiar voice. Cautiously she turned to face the man.* "Hi Lorcan." *She gave a sheepish grin at his comment about getting into fights.* "Trouble follows me around....a lot, I guess."
*She stood up and followe Lorcan. Her head hung some, and the anger seemed almost completely dissolved away. How was she going to explain getting into a fight this time? She found it difficult to not try and start explaining what happened as soon as possible. Sometimes it just made matters worse. *

"You guess? Lorcan asks rhetorically in Mando'a, the laughter that follows making it evident that there is no guessing at all so far as he is concerned. You court it and stoke its flames more than it follows you is more accurate I think," he adds with a wink and an amused grin that reveals he is untroubled in the least by Raine's penchant for winding up in trouble as often as not.
Pouring a cup of shig for Raine, Lorcan skips the interrogation and accusation he imagines she was expecting as he is sure that his brother will handle those steps on his own, and instead leans back casually, draping an arm around the shoulders of the blonde haired lass he had been drinking with prior to Raine's explosive entrance as he slides the cup across to her as he advises Raine, "Lead with the bit about defending your friend. My brother will eat that up, and give you an educational lecture about appropriate levels of escalation, strategically picking your moment, or something like that instead of reading you the riot act."

*Raine gave a small chuckle at Lorcan's description of her. She pulled the mug closer and grasped it with both hands, staring into it almost pensively. Confronting Faelan was something she still wasn't looking forward to, even with all the pointers Lorcan was giving her. Her dark grey eyes turned to Lorcan.* "So..do you think he's going to be mad? Cause I definitely haven't held to the promise of not fighting or getting into trouble."
*She looked back into her mug, an almost distant expression appeared in her eyes while her face showed little expression.* "It's kinda hard not to defend my friends. Especially being orphaned on Nar Shaddaa, friends are few and far between. I've lost to many to Hutts, gangs and other horrible things. So when I saw those kids beating up my friends, I couldn't help but defend them. Guess I was afraid I'd lose them also if I didn't do anything."

A'den smiled at NCO.I could eat. NCO nodded and sent for some food. He pondered what else to do, and realized that A'den would need to register with the clan, and collect his datacron. That would be next on the agenda then, as it would formalize the A'den's adoption into the royal family of the d'ordinii, though legally everything was already done, formalities still needed to be observed. NCO wasn't fond of formalities and usually didn't bother, but this was one formality that couldn't be ignored without damaging A'den's reputation, which at this point would leave him on a bad foot with the rest of the clan for something he didn't even know about. So they would observe this formality, but it would also give him time to teach the kid something of piloting a spacecraft. Eat up then. We need to get you to the archives so you can be registered with the clan. It's a tad tedious, but well worth the effort.

Momentarily distracted while exchanging meaningful glances with the blonde haired and green eyed lass he had been drinking with when Raine had dramatically exploded into the 'baat, Lorcan nods a few times while half listening to the girl chattering away. Having paid close enough attention to get the gist of what Raine had said, Lorcan takes a sip of his drink before leaning back more comfortably in his seat and smiling reassuringly as he says in Mando'a, "Mad? No. Disappointed? Almost certainly. Face contorting in an intentionally exaggerated portrait of being deep in thought, Lorcan adds after a moment, Then again, maybe not. As you said, you were only defending your friends, which is actually damn admirable when you think about, right? Grinning, apparently pleased with his line of thought, Lorcan continues, Definitely admirable, so I'd say you've little to fear Raine. When you think about it, my brother should really be pleased with the fact you defended your mates, right? Don't worry, he suggests with a dismissive wave of his hand, I'll handle the sit-rep when the time comes, make sure my brother gets the right picture and knows that you were only doing the right, proper, and honorable thing."

*Raine was relieved at Lorcan's response. She was glad to know that Faelan wasn't really going to be to mad at her. Giving a small grin, shook her head.* "I should tell him first. He'd probably want to hear it from me anyway rather than learn it from somewhere else." *Her smile faded some as she thought about Faelan. She hadn't seen him all day.* "Do you know where Fall an is? I haven't seen him for a while."

Lorcan makes a blaster with his thumb and forefinger, pointing at Raine as he smirks and says in Mando'a, "You may be right. Rubbing his stubbled chin, Lorcan looks up as he considers where Faelan is most likely to be encountered for a moment before suggesting, Probably at his vheh'yaime; moping around most likely, or maybe puttering in his garden or workshop. Shaking his head as he considers the vastly more diverting ways he prefers to occupy himself, Lorcan says, My brother is not exactly known for leading an exciting life when he's not out and about on clan or Mando'ade business after all, is he?"
After taking a sip of his drink, Lorcan asks Raine in an amused tone, "You need a lift and supervision, or do you think yo can manage to get there from here without getting into more trouble?"

*A 17 year old human smuggler enters the oyu'baat. His eyes sureptitiously sweep the entire bar for any signs of a potential threat. Unlike typical smugglers, he is heavily armed with an old, well maintaned DC-15 blaster slung across his back, a vibroblade, and two smaller blades that have the ability to deploy from both of the black wrist gauntlets on his forearms. In addition he carries two standard blaster pistols, holstered on each thigh, and wears black chest armor, shin plates, and shoulder guards that are made of a cortosis weave that can withstand the blunt force of a lightsaber strike. He is devoid of any headgear so his expression can be easily read. Once he deems that the area is safe, he strolls confidentally towards the bar and takes a seat at the counter. He lifts a finger to get the bartendar's attention*
"I'd like a Tihaar please...the strongest brew you have."
*Adonias notices the the young girl sitting nearby and gives her a wink, accompanied by a small smile. Glancing at the Mando'ade guarding her, he gives him a cordial nod by way of greeting and then takes a sip of his drink once it arrives and pays the bartender, even going so far as to leave a tip. It doesn't escape his notice that he can sense the girl is force sensitive, like him. Surely, the girl would be able to sense his potential as well...and if she was attuned by way of empathy, she would know that Adonias is far from a threat. He can clearly see that the man that had previously offered the girl a ride was a bit too preoccupied with the woman next to him.*
"Do you need an escort home, young lady? That is...if your guardian over there approves?"

A'den began to eat and drink as soon as the meal arrived. He didn't realize how hungry he was.Registered with the clan? NCO watched the boy, no his son, eat hungrily and smiled slightly. A'den's question was not unexpected, but there was no easy answer. Some of it was sensitive information, best not spoken, but most of it was just a tedious flood of nuanced details that would mean little to anyone besides the machines they were stored on. NCO considered it a moment and then shrugged, giving the simplest answer available."You'll have to wait and see, it's something everyone does. Well, all the d'ordinii do it. It's mostly an exercise in tedious boredom, but you'll get something rather handy from it. It's worth the minor hassle, plus it may prove educational. The trip certainly will be useful in continuing your education. What experience do you have with interplanetary transit vessels?"If I recall correctly, he'd said he grew up on planet, without any significant parental influence... that would make for some interesting character flaws and perks. Still, hopefully he had some experience with more than just speeders and repulsor carts. If he didn't that wouldn't be a major issue, it'd just be one more flood of data for the poor lad to take in. I made a mental note to try and spread the information out as much as possible, and let A'den pick the pace of the course. Though that reminds me, I came in on public transit... guess I'm buying a new ship today.

*Raine, who was becoming familiar with Faelan's routines, gave a nod. She would have to try the workshop first. With effort, she tried her best to not smile or sound suspicious.* "I promise I can get back to the house without getting into, or causing, any trouble of any kind."
*Before Raine could move to leave, she sensed something. The feeling was familiar, but also foreign, something she should recognize. Than it hit her, some one around her was force sensitive. A chill ran down her back, was it some one she knew? Or a new person? She had never told anyone on Mandalore that she was strong in the force, not even Faelan. For someone to be force sensitive and here at the same time as here, well that made her nervous. Just than a young man walked up to them and offered to escort Raine home. This was the person, Raine could feel it, the force was radiating off of him. Raine was not good at reading others through the force, and was unable to tell the man's intentions. She nervously glanced him over and asked suspiciously.* "w..who are you exactly?"

*Adonias gave the young girl a friendly smile after taking another sip of his Tihaar.*
"I assure you that I'm a friend. My name is Adonias."
*The 17 year old's blue-grey eyes softened. If this girl could sense him through the force, she would be able to feel that his aura radiated light.*
"I'm quite sure that you can handle yourself. However it's always difficult for me to turn a blind eye to someone who may be in need."
*He leaned forward so that he could speak in a soft voice and to further frustrate potential eavesdroppers.*
"I know that you can feel it. The Force. It's something we already have in common. I promise that your secret is safe with me"
*He returned to his original posture although he still kept his voice low.*
"I was about your age when I first began to feel it myself. I don't remember my life before age 7. I was kidnapped by pirates and they tried to sell me to slavers. Luckily for me, a firefight broke out between the buyers, sellers, and local law enforcement. I managed to escape and stowed away on a starliner bound for Coruscant. I spent most of my life on the streets. Alone. Scared. Helpless. Eventually I learned how to tough it out. Became street wise. Until my...Abilities...Began to surface and those whom I thought I could trust at the time betrayed me. They told the Jedi about my potential. I was afraid. So I fled the planet."
*Adonias glanced down at the table and then turned his eyes to her*
"I know all about the war that occured between Mandalorians and the Jedi. Their hate for each other has run deep. You don't have to accept my offer to escort you home. What I want you to know...Is that you don't have to be afraid. You are not alone. I will be staying here on Mandalore for a while. I have business to conduct in the marketplace down in Keldabe."

*Raines listened to what Adonias said. His words almost matched what she had been through in her life. Hearing all this made her tense up some, it was just to strange. Her eyes went from Adonias to th door than back again.* "I..I can take care of myself." *She stood up and began to move towards the door, her eyes turned to Lorcan.* "I'm going to find Faelan." *She darted out the door and walked down the street some. Everything that man said bothered her. All of it was just to...familiar. her mind was now set, she was going to follow him and get some answers. Quickly she climbed up some nearby crates and hid ontop. From there she could remain hidden, yet still see the door to the Oyu'baat. Now she just needed to wait for Adonias to make his move.*

*Adonias nodded with a smile.*
"Very well. Take care of yourself! Although I have a feeling you are quite adept at that already."
*He watched her leave and then finished his drink a few minutes later. He walked out of the baat' and headed down the street in the direction of the Keldabe marketplace. For a brief moment his pace faltered and he partially turned his head as though he was trying to discreetly glance over his shoulder to see if anyone was following him. He shook his head, believing that the strange, yet unmistakable feeling that he was being watched was a lingering effect of the Tihaar. Shrugging as though to dismiss the paranoid thought, he soon resumed his pace and left the Mandalorian pub behind him.*

*Raine kept her head down until Adonias started walking away. She noticed his pace falter for a brief second before continuing on. This was nothing new to her, tailing people that is, she had down it dozens of times to try and find good targets to mark. Keeping above Adonias, she moved quickly and quietly along, never to close yet never to far behind. Eventually she made her way to ground level and started blending in with the crowd. All the while she wondered if this man was who he said he was. The questions were starting to bother her.*

Snorting an amused laugh when Raine promises that she can make her way to Faelan's home without getting into or causing trouble of any kind, Lorcan cautions her, "Don't go making promises you cannot keep . . . and then laughs when it is clear that she is not listening to his pearls of wisdom in her haste to depart. Looking over at his drinking companion, Lorcan waves a hand towards Raine as she scampers off, joking with a theatrically disappointed shake of his head, Kids today, am I right?"

I've never left Mandalore as far as I know. I have seen plenty of ships come and go, but was never on one. Wonderful, a truly blank slate; such a rare thing in the universe these days. I wait for him to finish his meal, and pay the tab, leaving a substantial tip. I point it out to A'den, and explain the reasons for tipping and how different cultures dealt with the issue. Most expected a % of the total bill in whatever currency the bill was payed in. The exact percent varied based upon performance, or rather quality of service. As a D'ordinii, A'den is expected to pay his debts and to deal honestly in his business ventures. Having finished that info dump, I don my helmet and rise. I wait for A'den to gather his gear, and then exit the Oyu'baat and flag a speeder to spaceport.tbc...
