*The Rakatan ruins were all that remained of an ancient structure built on Dantooine by the Rakata during the height of their Infinite Empire. The temple itself was built as a monument to the power of the Star Forge, a space station in the Lehon system which could be located using the information stored in a Star Map that was housed inside the temple.* |

Though the Star Map was useless, considering that the Star Forge was no more, Imperial archaeologists still came to examine its ruins. The Rakatan were, in essence, the first galactic civilization. There was still much to learn about their history, their technology, and society. As such, pieces were removed and examined by scientists and archaeologists alike who wanted to preserve as much as they possibly could. How odd, this was probably the only place on Dantooine that didn't feel... policed.
