Designed by The Organization and built bu Aegohr Manufacturing, the SV27 Shark-Class Gunship was originally the test bed for an experimental class of starfighter. Upon revision, the need for a gunship outweighed the need for more starfighters. Adopting the same engine designs as the SX line of starfighters, the Shark was designed to be larger and more heavily armed and armored in comparison to the Mantis-Class Gunship.

Armed with a chin-mounted repeating turbolaser cannon, a laser cannon on each side of the main cockpit and two variable payload launchers capable of carrying six missiles or torpedoes each, the Shark could also comfortably carry 10 passengers across the battlefield. While it lacked the versatility that the Mantis has, the Shark was a dedicated gunship and a powerful addition to the Organization's forces.
