Description:
The VCX-100 light freighter can be considered one of the most solid designs to be ever produced by Corellian Engineering Corporation, being one of its most notable multi-purpose ships. The freighter was most famously represented by Hera Syndulla's personal spacecraft, the storied Ghost, which was a heavily modified freighter of its class. The standard ship design had incredibly strong cuadruple engines that provided one of the peak speeds in atmospheric flight across all the CEC-issued freighters and corvettes, sitting at 1,025 kph: which exceeded the record marks of the YT-1300 and even the famous Blockade Runner, the CR90. The vessel's agility and speed were almost unrivalled for a ship of its class. It came with a decent hyperdrive equipped -on par with the standard-issued CEC freighter models- and a short range sensor system. The deflector shields were good and resilient enough and the VCX-100 was armed with two CEC dual turrets, which provided sufficient firepower. A particular trait from this class of freighter was the inclusion of a detachable VCX-series auxiliary starfighter on the rear of the freighter, itself armed with a MS-2B twin laser cannon and one KX4 dorsal laser turret. The starfighter acted as both a shuttle for the freighter's tripulation and combat support in the shape of an agile and small fighter. The freighter requires a tripulation of four, one pilot and co-pilot and two gunners and can take as much as six passengers at once. Legendary characters and pilots have described the ship as a quality one.
