Kaan's information would explain what Malvus had felt, coming down the surface. Something awakening to the presence of fresh living beings. The spirits having done away with one sacrifice and fed on these corpses for their souls. With so many dead bodies, the Nexus beneath their feet was surely powerful by now. Malvus planned to not empower it any further than it already was.
With that in mind, he turns to the commanding officer of the regular infantry.
Looks like this will be a Sith mission, commander. I want you and your men to fall back to the first retreat line. Hold your position there and keep me posted. Pzob is a wild world after all, who knows what else could have detected our arrival.
The intention of his words indicating the Gamorreans. Like Vasari, Lord Malvus had sensed their growing presence to the northwest and far east of their location. Either they were planning to attack each other or moving to attack their position. They were certainly disturbed by the arrival of shuttles and transports, causing them to be roused to battle. Or... the Nexus of this temple was influencing them.
With the order given, the infantry begins to withdraw outside of the Temple, leaving Malvus, Kaan, Luxeria, Vasari, and Ifrit with five other Sith Masters and thirty Sith warriors at their disposal. Spirits could only be tackled by those attuned with the Force. Malvus knew his infantry would be cut down with ease and made into a fresh meal for the Dark Nexus to feed upon and make it even stronger.
For a moment, Malvus deepened his connection to the Dark Side with the methods taught by the Sorcerers of Tund. It was with those methods that he was able to detect the beating heart of the Nexus below them. It was awakening again, slowly, but definitely. It had been dormant since the death of the living occupants of this temple. The catacombs would soon be alive with vengeful spirits.
We have very little time...
Malvus speaks after pulling himself from the depths of a meditation.
The Nexus is starting to awakening. And we still need to restore power to the facility. Who knows how powerful it has grown since the time before. Ifrit and Vasari, I want you two to restore the power. Take ten warriors and two Sith masters with you. Luxeria and Kaan, you will come with me and the rest of my forces. We need to find a way to either delay or tame the dark energies below us.
Malvus had noticed the connection made between Luxeria and Vasari, likely due to the Mustafar mission. Vasari had also taken interest in Ifrit. Considering their manpower, Luxeria was still an apprentice. So wherever Malvus went, she would go. Kaan was needed to guide Malvus to the Nexus. Which left Ifrit and Vasari as the only team available to restore the power.
Once you two are done, proceed to our location. The warriors and Sith masters will handle the data collection.

And like that, nearly everything about this mission had changed, becoming far more dangerous. In the end, Luxeria had grown a bit agitated over the many missions of mere clean up, seeking something of greater challenge. Now she had it, even if it was less than the ideal situation she had hoped for. But it was also a learning experience, a situation to help her only grow stronger. She just needed to remain calm and focused.
She gave Malvus a quick nod before turning her head to Vasari. She gave a small smile while tapping the side of her temple again. She held her gaze for only a moment before her smile faded and her attention was directed back to her master.

While Vasari was willing to trust the man. Ifrit still had his reservations about Kaan’s intentions. Even as the former Lord of the NoE explained what this place was. A giant generator of dark side energy built to harness an existing nexus within the Force. A nexus which the NoE had slowly given an appetite to. An appetite that would only be filled by feasting upon any one of those present.
As Malvus dismissed the regular soldiers, Ifrit shifted his gaze to his WarGlaives. Which thankfully were already in the possession of one of the Sith Warriors assigned to the group he and Vasari would be leading. While he did not anticipate their usage against any of the spirits they would encounter. He was certain they would be quite useful in cutting through any physical obstacles that blocked their way to restoring the power.
Not exactly the most useful task for his abilities. However, someone would need to do it, and sending Vasari and Luxeria off to do it alone would be suicidal. He smiled at Malvus and inclined his head briefly in acknowledgement of the mans request The power will be back on before you know it... He turned around and faced Vasari, standing such that she was between him and the way toward the generators. His voice lowering as he spoke to her this time Let’s try this one more time...

Malvus' orders were simple enough, she had already dispatched several troopers to discover the state of the control room, and the usability of the power generators before the Sith Lord had ordered the retreat - the work was already half done - baring any further encroachments upon her concentration. She gave Kaan another long look as if assessing him but kept her mind from probing to close, she had enough to deal with as it was. A flickering smile took her lips as Luxeria moved by and she shared a brief memory between their two minds as her partner looked her way, a show of understanding that her presence would never be far, then she winked before turning her gaze back to Ifrit who was already moving towards her.
"Soldiers secured the control room before pulling back..."she gestured behind her shoulder towards the raised control room near the rear of the hanger bay - its large duraglass windows giving those who would stand within a clear view of the entire facility."Generators are in a slight state of disarray... apparently power had been diverted to another system before there was a short circuit that shut the whole system down."
Technology was by no means her strong point but she understood the workings well enough to know that they would have to get to the breaker and reset the system before power could be restored - only problem was she knew next to nothing about the layout of the temple and the soldiers had yet to find a temple schema before they had been ordered to retreat.
"Split up? One on nav duty the other resets the breakers?"Ifrit technically was in command, but the strategy was sound.

There was some good news and some bad news. Vasari delivered both without flinching. Of course the whole system was knocked out. Someone probably routed the power to the doors, sealing the temple shut before the system short circuited. Which did mean that the Nexus had been contained within the Temple. But it meant their job restarting everything was going to be that bit harder. As Vasari suggested they split up, he gave a light shrug of his shoulders If you think you can hold your own against these spirits long enough... I don’t imagine they will remain as dormant as they are for much longer. I’ll take the breakers, you find us a map of this place...

Kaan bows his head in acquiescence, still grinning slightly. Malvus seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, a good determination and sense of purpose. He wasn't particularly thrilled about the task ahead though, despite his demeanor. This would be a difficult contest, and the likelihood of them all walking out of here was almost zero. In the back of his mind, even over all the years of living here, he knew eventually this day would come. He had always been hesitant about using the power here...tethering himself to it. He had expected to face it with his brothers, though. Not with these (comparatively speaking) young ones. Part of him hoped they would be standing still at the end. Despite himself, he couldn't say he wholly objected to being in the presence of other beings of darkness once more. The was a familiarity...a comfort, of sorts. He shakes these thoughts away. Here, that sort of distraction could be fatal. He takes a few moments to steel his mind, allowing the shroud concealing his presence to fall as he gathers the Force to him. Every stray thought is wrestled into place, fed into a burning flame in his mind until there is nothing left but the task at hand. He turns to Malvus, gives a brief nod, and then walks forward into the temple, swallowed up by the darkness of its empty halls but for the glow of his saber. As he walks, expecting the others to follow, he knew that they would be relying on him to lead them safely to the core. He formulates dozens of different strategies as he moves; how best to approach, where to strike to be most effective, possible countermeasures against the defenses they would face, all of these things and more spin through his mind. He knew the stiffest resistance would not be until they came close to the nexus itself, when the entities within the temple finally realized their plan. The plan itself is what gives him the most pause. HOW to collapse it, or at least contain it, is not something he ever considered in depth. Thought of, certainly. Mused about, definitely. But an actual rounded out plan? He had spoken of it with his son and apprentice, but it had always been pushed aside for more pressing, more relevant issues. He had the basis of an idea...but there would be a few things he'd need first. Power to the temple was one of those, but if these others who were sent off were half as competent as they appeared, that would be no issue. He stops at a crossroad of halls. So far...nothing. He turns to the left, looking down the long passage. He motions to the others.
IC: "I need something that is this way. This is not the path to the nexus, but...something else I'm going to need that I left here." he glances at Malvus "Do you want to wait here for me, or follow?"

Malvus stops in the corridor as Kaan indicates a side trip they needed to take. Knowing Kaan, it was something important or had to be. The Sith Lord turns to one of the masters with them and a five of the Sith warriors. Malvus gestures to where they stood.
Stay here and guard this spot till we return. The rest of you are to follow us with Kaan.
There were quiet nods as the personnel split up into two groups. With the orders carried out, Malvus turns to Kaan.
Let's get moving then, Kaan. Time is of the essence.
Even as they took the side trip, for now, Malvus could feel the entire Temple slowly awakening as if it were a slumbering beast. Without the power of the Four Lords that kept this nexus tamed, it was certainly a sleeping dragon. And one that would certainly wake up hungry. This trip had to be quick, else they would lose their advantage in the long run.
As they proceed down the corridor, following Kaan's direction, Malvus glances at his apprentice.
This beats Kesh by a long run... been awhile since I have encountered the supernatural nature of the Force. Not since my last journey to Korriban and a Sith King's tomb. Have you encountered the specters and phantoms of the Dark Side, Luxeria?

Luxeria said nothing for the duration of the walk up until they stopped. Whether or not Kaan was someone that could be trusted was beside the point now. He knew this place and they had to believe he knew what he was talking about. And if he was needing to make a stop for something, it was best to let it be. Truth be told, she couldn't place this level of mistrust and caution. True, she always held some form of caution around new people, even their own allies. It was always good to never let down one's guard. But this was something so much more. Was it merely the oddity of Kaan's timing when he should have already been here three years prior? Possibly, but she wondered if some of what happened on Mustafar still lingered in her mind.
Vasari and herself had been tasked with securing the Sith Cave below Darth Vader's castle. While there, they were caught in a few illusions. Well, mostly her being caught while Vasari was more disconnected in trying to keep from being caught. But that first illusions pulled out the idea of betrayal and being used as nothing more than a pawn. Perhaps that was what made her on edge, the sense of betrayal by someone new to her. But either way, it was something she had to get passed.
As part of the group moved with Kaan to his destination, she turned her head slightly to Malvus as he asked her about facing spirits of the Dark Side. She wasn't about to lie about it and risk her life or will against them, just to appear strong. If she didn't accept her inabilities, weakness, or lack of knowledge, she'd never been able to find the path that led passed them. She shook her head. "I have not. Since becoming your apprentice I've fought Sith of different styles, Jedi, warlords and natives of other worlds, even faced a creation of alchemy in the Sith Cave on Mustafar. But never have I encountered the supernatural. I'd wager I'm the only one here lacking in the knowledge needed to fend them off properly." When she spoke, she made sure to not let herself sound weak, but knowledgeable in where she lacked, with the confidence to stand strong and learn, even with little time to prepare.

Kaan moves quickly through the halls of the temple. He passes by countless side halls and openings, taking others seemingly at random. He turns so often that most would lose their sense of direction, but ever he leads them on. The only constant is that every passage he takes slants further down, deeper into the earth. It had been some time, but he could walk this winding way blindfolded. They had to move quickly...he could feel the temple awakening. He listened to the chatter behind him, and falls in step with them when the talk changes to specters. He turns to regard Malvus' apprentice. Luxeria, he'd called her. He half smiles, remembering his own last apprentice. Probably gone with all the rest...but this one, it would be a shame for her to fall before her time. He falls back to walk next to her.
IC: "If I may, Specters and Force spirits tend to strike the mind first, seeking to overwhelm your mental control. Possession is their forte. A lightsaber can temporarily disrupt their form, but fighting them by the Force is more advisable. Trust your instincts, keep your mind focused. And most importantly...oh, we're here."
Turning one last corner, the hall widens and then ends abruptly at a massive wall mural. A great battle is depicted in the carved stone. Thousands of Gamorreans stream from thick jungle and overgrowth, surrounding four figures who stand facing outward in a clearing. Bodies of other pigmen are piled about them in various states of dismemberment. One seems human, his lightsaber impaling one Gamorr while a wave of his hand sending seceral others flying. A second resembles a walking lizard. Axes glance off his scales as he disembowels two pigmen with his claws. The third is tall, a single eye set in the middle of his face, clearly an Abyssin. The last resembles Kaan himself, yet armored and mounted on a large draconian creature. Lightning flies into the horde from his fingertips, dozens writhing beneath the electricity. Whoever the artist was, their carving seems almost alive. Kaan places his hand on it, a smile on his face. "My brothers...so long gone, yet that battle seems as if yesterday..." His hand trails down, stopping near the base of a tree in the carving. He presses one of the knots in the tree's trunk, and with a rumble the wall to the right of the mural slides aside. He motions for the others to follow him inside. As he steps through the door into the room beyond, lights flicker to life, illuminating the chamber. Computer consoles, covered with dust, hum to life as power restores them. One side of the room is lined with what appear to be stasis chambers or something similar, and several tables cluttered with tools, vials, scraps of metal, wires, pouches of chemicals, and other assorted items are spaced throughout the room. At the far end of the chamber is a large metal door, a sparking control panel next to it. Kaan walks to the center of the room, spreading his arms wide in welcome.
IC: "You stand where few have...my sanctum...my laboratory...my home. I'd say make yourselves comfortable, but we won't be here long." he walks to one of the nearby consoles, and looks over the readouts "Good...looks like your associates have gotten some of the power restored...should be enough."
He taps a few keys on the console, then places his hand on a scanner next to the screen. After a moment, one of the chambers on the far side of the room begins humming, then opens with a hiss as steam pours out the sides. A suit of blackened armor is on a stand within it, similar to the armor that Kaan was depicted wearing in the carving outside. He walks over and stands before it, and waits over the next several minutes as mechanical arms move the armor into place on his body, the seal hissing as the armor is secured. It hums to life and wires pop from it, the armor now completely powered. Kaan stretches, getting the feel for wearing it again. It had been some time...he hadn't worn it since his little "incident" on Arkania, but the augments in it would be of use in reaching the nexus. He gathers several more items from a nearby footlocker, chief among them a second lightsaber and an oblong piece of obsidian stone, one end of which ends in an odd cluster that resembles a four-fingered claw. He holds it up, turning to Malvus.
IC: "This is what I needed. When we rebuilt the temple around the nexus, we sealed it. This key will open it. Each of my brothers had one, but I highly doubt they left theirs here. If I fall before we reach it, make sure this is not lost, otherwise you'll have difficultly penetrating the door in front of the nexus. Well...unless you can get a ship's turbolaser down there. Or a cargo hold's worth of thorium explosives. Either way, we have what we need."
He starts to leave, then pauses. He returns to the computer console and scrolls through several screens, coming to a stop and studying one. He enters a few commands, then walks to the opposite side of the room, stopping in front of a row of cylinders. Twisting the handle on one opens it, and he pulls the cover back. Inside appears to be what was a rack meant to hold several vials, but only one is left. He takes it out and studies it. It looks as if it was meant to be loaded into a syringe. He nods, muttering something under his breath, slips the vial into a pouch on his armor's belt, then walks for the door.

It didn't take long for Vasari to reach the control room - the team that she had sent ahead of her had already restored the temple's most rudimentary power supply, meaning they went as far as to flip the switch but didn't have time to notice that not all the lights turned on - before they were ordered to retreat. Those last few pockets of darkness were left to Ifrit and Vasari to illuminate. Normally Vasari wouldn't have bothered, she had relatively good night vision (her species being natural predators in their infancy) and she was not bent on a reliance to technology as most have become in this age - but orders were orders, and so she saw to them with the full force of her dedication and resolve.
The main computer was still down, but a generator had been linked to a secondary terminal and that would run at least for a while. Once the main computer was back on then it would be only a matter of time before every single light bulb would be under her control. Her fingers flew across the keys with expect precision - while she did not often utilize the myriad of technologies at her disposal she knew her way around a computer well enough, for situations just like this one. A few minute later she had a full schema of the Temple pulled up, and found the power relays that ran this control center - she needed those online first.
<<Ifrit there are two power lines outside the Hanger Bay along the main temple wall... the breaker is a few dozen feet above the ground along a conduit running up to the observatory...>>
While she didn't say it the thought ran through her head ~What a lousy place for a control panel~ With her mind so open to the Sith Lord he would have heard the thought and the implication of annoyance before her focus was diverted back to the computer. From what she could see the Temples power systems were controlled by quadrants so that no one power failure would knock out the entire system. The place was designed by a mind of war - or so it seemed, this also meant that restoring power would be more difficult than she had hoped. This main computer ran the hanger bay, and had limited access to the other systems but she would need a code breaker more skilled than herself to hack the other systems from here. She would have to move throughout the temple to the various control rooms to restore power. Not knowing how much Ifrit knew about his sort of thing she projected the map of the temple, and the electrical layout through the battle meditation link she had formed aboard ship, hopefully it would do a better job leading him than her saying "turn left" every few moments...

As Vasari took off to the control room, Ifrit had turned his attention to the Sith left over. Focusing more upon the Warrior entrusted with his WatGlaives than the rest Keep close to Lady Vasari. You’ll only slow me down... And don’t lose my blades... The warriors gave an affirmative nod, before heading off to follow the Zabrak woman to the control center. Giving Ifrit a moment or two alone as he waited to find out where he was headed for first. He suspected this was going to become a rather tedious exercise in how fast they could locate and throw the switches. But given the information Lord Kaan had revealed to them. That might not be the case.
The more they interfered with the Temple, the more he suspected they would draw unwanted attention. Especially if what ever they were powering, would pose a direct threat to the nexus below. The greater that threat was, the more likely it would be that the spirits would try and slow them down.
Something that did not bother him too much. But it did cause him some modicum of concern for Vasari. After all, he had spent years training and perfecting his arts. Experience which Viox had rewarded by bestowing the title of Master Spellbinder upon him. Vasari on the other hand, while an accomplished warrior, was barely out of the academy. She would not fare so well against so spectralbeings.
His thoughts were quickly drawn back to the present, as the Zabrak’s voice invaded his mind. Guiding him towards where the first panel was. He started making his way out of the hangar bay then. Broadening his field of view so that he could see where his destination was. A smile forming as he heard Vasari’s stray thought about the location he needed to get to Well, it’s a good thing I can fly... Consider it reset... He turned to face the wall as he got outside the hangar. Almost immediately spotting the two power lines that Vasari had described. He then saw the breaker a few moments later just as he felt Vasari project the map of the temple into his mind. Storing such information for later use as he moved west along the outside wall. Moving to position himself just below the breakers location Im curious... What is it that you’re after? Not here specifically, but joining the Blackguard... As he questioned Vasari, he spread his wings. In an almost single fluid motion, he jumped up in the air. The force of his wings moving the air beneath them causing him to propel further upward. His hand reaching out to grab ahold of the power conduit, as he impacted the wall. His free hand quickly moving to open the panel and throw the reset switch. The first of many

@ Kaan and Luxeria
You have proven yourself more than capable, Luxeria. Just always keep your guard up and ready to use the Force.
Malvus adds on after Kaan speaks to his apprentice before turning to look at the mural at the entryway of Kaan's sanctum. How strange to find an art piece in the lair of one of the Four Lords of the defunct Order. These were men of great ambition and power and it seemed one of them admired art... or just had one commissioned. He moves away from the mural, standing by the entryway they came through while Kaan went about his business within this secluded part of the Sith Temple.
Malvus had been aware of the depths of this facility, but never really ventured much from his old home on Alzoc III. Back then, under his old name, Valstrol Horica, he ruled Alzoc III, founded the Horica Sovereign Empire, and began to form a Force-sensitive dynasty. He almost went to war with the New Order of the Eye over control of Eriadu, which the Sith intended to add to his domain, but his late uncle Cygnus stole it from him. Still, this facility would be of great use to the Blackguard. Just needed some rebuilding and repurposing to fit its future role for the Sith Order.
While Kaan went about his business, Malvus turns to Luxeria.
I am starting to sense beings forming around us... the phantoms are starting to take shape.
Kaan shortly rejoined them, making Malvus nod to his warriors as they turned and began to head the other way. He takes the key which was offered to him by Kaan. The Sith Lord turns to Kaan as the three of them depart his sanctum.
We may be meeting resistance soon. I can sense strange entities awakening in the Force.

Luxeria listened as Kaan spoke first, giving her the required advice to properly combat the specters of the Force. For what was to come, she was grateful for the encounter on Mustafar, the fall into illusions. It had been only a couple days at most since taking Darth Vader's castle, but it had shown her the weakness in her mind. Her mind might not have been as weak as she thought, due to it being used on her by the potent Dark Side energies, yet she continued to think of it as such. She knew by identifying her weakness, she could work to strengthen herself and overcome it. And those few days were spent reinforcing her mind against such invasions again.
She had suspected the rest of what he said, figuring the Force was the better option against such beings, though no specific skills were mentioned. She'd just have to follow her instincts as she was instructed and be ready when the time came. She was quite curious as to what his last statement was to be. It was obvious in its importance, simply for the statement of those very words. However, Kaan was quickly distracted and focused his attention fully on the destination at which they arrived. She wouldn't ask of what he was to say, only letting him prepare himself accordingly. She did turn her head to Malvus as he spoke, nodding at the confidence her master held for her. He confirmed the use of the Force and so that would be her focus in what was to come.
She then let her gaze fall upon the mural, acknowledging its beauty in her head. While she wouldn't know it, she was certain it told quite a history of the battle depicted. But this was more than some piece of art. It was the doorway to his sanctum. Upon entering, she merely stood with her master, looking around as Kaan moved about, gathering what was needed and suiting up in his armor.
She didn't turn to her master when he spoke to her again, but nodded a she then closed her eyes as to fully sense what he did. Her skills in sensing what was around her was increasing rather well, but still were the instances where she needed to focus to truly feel what was there. And for what they were about to face, she wasn't going to simply let slight feelings define what was to come.
She opened her eyes the moment Kaan spoke, seeing the obsidian stone, what he called a key. If that was what will grant them access to the nexus, then the detour was more than warranted. It also granted extra time for Ifrit and Vasari to catch up to them. With all gathered that was required, she turned and made her way out with her master and Kaan.

Vasari blinked as the power began to restore to the command center. The hum of electric current and the sounds of computers and other technology booting back up filled the room causing several of the warriors that surrounded her to tilt their heads as well. Vasari moved from her terminal to the main monitor and with a few keystrokes she was able to pull up a bio monitoring system of the hanger pay - she noticed Ifrit's signature lingering on the outskirts of the area. As the systems came back online she would be able to patch them through this terminal to read the life forms within the entire complex - hopefully.
<<Next step - find the main atrium... third corridor on the left should lead you upwards towards the archives. Their system is on the backbone of the entire network - if we can route power through there to here, then I can reboot the entire system from here once power has been restored.>>
It took a moment longer than normal for her to really process Ifrit's casual conversation - her thoughts were clearly more focused on the job than the small talk he was employing to get to the heart of her motivations. She turned to the warriors and passed orders for them to take up positions at various terminals preparing to reboot necessary systems electronically as power was restored and within the next several moments the Hanger was fully functioning.
"Get up to the observatory... I want eyes on the entire surrounding wood line."
Two Sith Warriors nodded and moved to follow her instructions leaving only a handful there to 'protect her'. She didn't see it as such - regardless of her skill she felt burdened by their presence. Relinking her mind to Ifrit's she attempted to formulate a suitable but not in depth response to his inquiry.
<<There is much knowledge in the Universe... I could only learn so much from the Masters at the University.>>

Kaan can feel the spirits of the temple awakening. They were aware of them now, he could sense it. He looked at the Sith warriors around Malvus, and knew that many of them would be worse than dead before the day was through. This was not sadness, or sentiment. Merely fact. He could sense their potential, and their uses were not those of a lord like Malvus, or Malvus' apprentice. Or Darkness willing, himself. The small conflict on Barab had been diverting, but it wasn't much of a test of his ability. He had a feeling that he would find his measure taken in the bowels of the temple this day. He draws the Force to him, letting his mind focus and push aside any stray thoughts and distractions. He regards Malvus as he falls in step with him. They were getting closer...he could feel the ripples in the Force arching up beneath them. He quickens his pace, hoping that the detour, albeit a necessary one, had not caused too long of a delay. He turns a corner, and stops...they were here. He looks down the hall before him, taking in every detail. Something was off...every bit of his instinct told him so. Then he sees it: one of the columns has two shadows. He waits for a moment, watching it. The shadow doesn't so much as twitch. Malvus' voice intrudes on his vigil as the other Sith steps next to him.
Kaan nods slowly, then lifts his foot, and carefully steps forward once more. The second his foot touches the stone floor, the shadow flies at him like a bolt of lightning in a storm, its shriek rending the stone beneath it as it coalesces into a humanoid shape. Kaan's hand flies up to meet it, catching it around it's "neck" as it lunges at the two of them, the maw on its eyeless face snapping at him. Lightning courses down his arm and into the specter. It shrieks again as it vanishes, its final cry echoing through the hall and fading away. Kaan turns to Malvus, the smell of burnt ozone in the air around them.
IC: "I believe you may be correct..."
He turns back to the hall, and steps forward again...and the shadows around them come to life, terrible cries filling the temple around them, Kaan's own warning shout of 'To arms!' lost among them...

Luxeria was but a step or two behind the masters as they pressed on, ready to head straight for the nexus. As they progressed, Luxeria's mind focused upon the recent battles she had taken part in. The last was the journey to Mustafar where they were moved about and secured the locus of dark side power in the Sith Cave and Darth Vader's castle above it. And now she was her, heading to a nexus of dark-side energy upon this world. Such immense levels of darkness, the likes that could destroy the weak. If it hadn't been for her previous master, Darth Andor's, instruction to meditate and adapt to the strong flow of darkness in the Inner Sanctum of the estate of the Ten on Kuat, then she, too, would be one of those weaker Sith that would be consumed. Everything she had faced up to this point was preparing her for these moments, to stand before the full might of the dark-side and prevail over it as its master.
Her thoughts were immediately directed back to reality when they came to a stop. What Kaan noticed had remained out her sight, something unknown to her until the creature made its attack. She took a step back as it lunged, the kind meant to steady oneself. In a blink of an eye, Kaan had caught the specter that attacked him and destroyed it with Force Lightning. This simple act alone erased all doubts from her mind in what was to come. She was skilled enough in the art along with other abilities. It was also relieving to her to know that this enemy could be affected by the Force, unlike the creature she faced on Mustafar.
With the next step, the deafening cries of the shadows around them. They were surrounded already. Turning her back to Kaan and Malvus, she took a step back to them. It was a natural instinct that came to her, ready to fight back to back with those present, guarding and fending off those she could in her sight while trusting others to cover her. Her stance dropped slightly as she gazed out to the shadows, her forest green eyes turning a fiery orange as violet lightning began to spark across her hands.

He clung to the power conduit, hanging off the edge of the wall as Vasari gave him the next set of instructions. Thinking back upon the layout of the temple that Vasari had passed to him. There were a couple of ways he could take to get to the main atrium. But the most direct was skirting the outside of the building. It would also be the fastest route, since it wouldn't involve trying to navigate the labyrinth of corridors within the Temple itself Good. The sooner the better... He let go of the conduit then. His wings spreading to slow his fall as he descended to the ground. He turned his head as he landed. Sensing the gathering essence of several abominations near to where Malvus, Luxeria, and Kaan had headed toward. The nexus was already starting to try and feed upon those that dared enter its sanctum. Now, more than ever, getting power restored was critical. Especially if they all wanted to be able to walk away from this encounter.
He turned on the spot and made for the entrance of the Temple. Thinking upon Vasari's response to his question. It was perhaps one of the most generic answers he had ever heard someone reply with. Ifrit continued on his way around the outside of the temple. Dodging around and leaping over various obstacles that littered the ground. Bringing him to the front entrance of the Temple then. Where he found a grand promenade built to glorify the New Order of the Eye. Vanity was something the Jedi and Sith shared in common. With each side building grand temples to show how great they were A quest for knowledge... Everyone here is after knowledge. But the real question, is what you intend to do with it... Ifrit ascended the main staircase. Drawing the Force in as he did so. Certain that there was bound to be some creatures taking form within the atrium. Something he confirmed moments later as he arrived to the top of the stairs. A pair of near shapeless creatures leapt forth from the shadows, hoping to take him by surprise. Ifrit lifted his hands and let loose a pair of blasts of energy. Obliterating the attackers into nothingness. A vanguard force undoubtedly. Especially if they were dispatched so easily. There would undoubtedly be much greater foes closer to the nexus.
As he made his way into the atrium, he took a left turn and headed down the corridor that Vasari had directed him towards. Heading deeper into the Temple towards the archives. Ifrit charged along the corridor, pushing past any potential attackers that might have tried to ambush him at a slower pace. Bringing him to his destination much sooner than if he had just strolled along.
He reached out with the force as he walked through the data stacks. Searching for some kind of power system. A search rewarded moments later with a junction box and computer terminal. His clawed digits flying across the keyboard for a few moments as he entered in a series of commands. With the system set correctly, he tore open the junction box and yanked the lever into the correct position That should do it...

Malvus grits his teeth as the first of spirits appear, taken down with ease by Kaan. The Sith Masters and their Warriors react immediately to the sounds of spectral screams that echoed practically everywhere. The Sith Lord turns to his Sith Warriors, pointing in the direction they were going. He then points behind him for the Sith Masters.
Warriors! Force Push our way through! Sith Masters, rearguard actions! Keep the spirits off of us!
The spirits that began to form in front of them dissipated by the forceful push of his warriors raw abilities. The more seasoned Sith Masters crafted barriers and utilized more advanced force techniques to keep the spirits at the rear at bay. Malvus watches as their group begins to move forward, but at a much slower pace than before.
One of the spirits comes out from the side, which Malvus breaks with ease with a Force Crush.
Where do we go from here, Kaan? We need a quick route before more of these spirits awaken and we are drowned in their spectral presence.

Another group of spirits come screaming from the shadows, crashing into the barriers erected by Malvus' warriors. They seemed to be holding, but Kaan knew better than most that they could not hold forever. Malvus, to his continuing credit, seemed to realize that as well as he called for a way out. Kaan scans the section of the hall they are in, looking for the signs that a member of his order would recognize. Bacca had been insistent on there being a number of side passages, connecting tunnels, false halls...all known only to the Order, and all for the purpose of stymieing any efforts by would-be invaders with quick counterattacks and flanking maneuvers, allowing the Temple's forces to rapidly traverse the structure. He falters slightly when seeing signs of none, but the location they are in jogs his memory. He turns to Malvus, yet his voice echoes in the minds of all nearby.
<< Ahead to the next crossway. Take the right path. It will seem a dead end, but there should be an access tunnel behind the statue in the right alcove. It will allow us to descend several floors. Go quickly...I will cover the advance. >>
He thrusts his hands out ahead of them, a foul incantation tumbling from his mouth. The shadows around him seem to darken and thicken as they draw closer to him, until with the last word of his spell, he focuses his Sith Magic outward in a concussive blast. With a sound like a thunderclap, a shockwave clears the hall, driving the spirits before them back. Turning on his heel, Ka'an faces the rear and points beyond them, speaking another spell. Beyond the barriers, a trio of figures that look exactly like him spring up and draw lightsabers. The spirits, momentarily confused, turn to face and attack them. The illusions (for so they are) draw back, leading a good portion of the attackers away from Malvus' group. Ka'an then joins the advancing warriors.

As Malvus gave his command to the Sith masters and warriors, Luxeria closed her fists slowly and gently, the lightning dissipating from them. She knew she couldn't let her guard down despite the work the others were doing to remove the specters in front of them and keep them at bay from behind. Yet, she needed to save all the energy she could for what was to come. Wasting it in preparation was far from a wise choice, given the situation. She kept her eyes locked on those behind them until they began moving forward.
Shortly after, Kaan gave out the directions needed for the to progress. She kept with her master as they prepared to move with haste, witnessing the abilities that lay within Sith Magic. In some aspects, they granted far greater power than the abilities one could normally access or elevate them to greater heights. The incantations used to activate such abilities took a little bit of time to utilize such power, but with the proper team, it was a art well worth looking into. Perhaps once she learned all she could or desired from the illusionary and manipulative arts, she turn this power. In the end, if there was knowledge to be learned, why settle for just enough?
With the way before them clear, she followed the others, still keeping eyes out for any spirits that decided to suddenly appear. Thankfully, it seemed they had a few moments to breath and focus their attention on their destination due to Kaan's skills to remove or divert the specters around them.
