Description:
The officers and high-ranking individuals within the Solenbaran Diarchy used to be transported in a wide variety of shuttles, Lambda-class, Epsilon-class or even non-Imperial starcrafts, remnant of the Corporate Sector Authority. High Moff Atash soon perceived the inherent value derived from unity and uniformity, as essential to establish stronger foundations for the young regime. With this purpose, he commissioned a new model of shuttle to be used by the members of the Diarchy, the Áurea-class. It was designed following the template of the Lambda-class craft, with two folding lower wings, that extended downwards during flight mode. The ship was equiped with state-of-the-art engines, both sublight and hyperspace ones, giving it an unsurpassed edge over any daring foe trying to hunt down the vessel of a high-ranking officer within the Diarchy's rather complicated hierarchy. The hyperdrive was as fast as the one found in the best Royal Naboo diplomatic barges. The shielding and the hull were designed to withstand a strong assault, but it was kept lightly armed, only two laser cannons, one on each of the lower wing's tip. The interior was comfortable, but austere and functional, with a private small cabin for the official and a wider room for its assigned guard. Could be piloted by a single trooper, but the usual crew comprised also a co-pilot for greater performance.
The shuttle's design and production was a combined effort of Pri-Andalyan Propulsion Systems, Pakkerd Light Transport, Uligh Abaha Limited -all of them companies part of the CSA and, thus, the Diarchy- and Sienar Fleet Systems through one of its subsidiaries. The first prototype belonged to the High Moff and then the next shuttles that left the production chain in Bonadan were handed down the Diarchy's hierarchy's metaphorical ladder, step by step, starting with the directors and governors and continuing with military officers and, finally, special operatives and key researchers.
