*Kaytra froze at the sight of Sam*
"Sam!? When did..how much did you hear?* *She could feel slight panik begin to build up in her chest. This wasn't good, she only meant to tell Veng, and even that was hard enough. She wasn't even sure if anyone other then Sam heard what she said.*

“Nothing that will pass beyond these lips.” Sam runs a finger across his lips in assurance. He silently acknowledges how Ghost detected him, since his friendly signal would still be given off even with his cloaking field on. Sensing Kaytra’s anxiety rising, Sam tries to reassure her some more.
“I promise you Kaytra, no one but Ghost and I heard this. My helm is set only to receive audio but not transmit except on my order. Plus, knowing Ghost’s penchant for idle chatter...” he smirks at the functional mute, “...and the fact that everybody loves to consult the team doctor for the latest gossip rather than treatment for injuries, your secret’s safe.”
He crosses his right fist over his heart, “On the blood of my children, I swear it.”
Reminding himself once more of his long dead children, he is again in amazement at how much Kaytra resembles his youngest child, and not wanting to dwell on thoughts that can paralyze him, he diverts his attention to the young woman’s arms, pointing at them, “I see the upgrades Kel and I built you’re your arms are serving you well, you made good use of the built-in melee weapons. How’s the fit?”

*Kaytra felt slightly less tense at Sams words. She lowered her carbine to her torso and gave a hesitant laugh.*
"I guess you're right."
*She glanced down at her arms when Sam mentioned them.*
"They fit good. Much better then the old ones. Thanks." *She turned and began to head down the tunnel without waiting for the others to fall in.* "So, Sam. I didn't know you had kids." *Small talk, that's what it was. Enough to try and distract her from her own past.*

Ali double-checked her view of the poachers through her weapon's scope, ensuring she had the first patrol set in her sights as Crystaall Sehefadu arranged her forces. As the Jensaarai personnel set off, disappearing from sight behind stealth generators, Ali rechecked her own commandos' positions. Everything was set and ready. We have Jensaarai moving out, folks, keep your fingers on the trigger. Ali called out over the comlink. @malcom was arrayed rather close to her, dispersed perfectly as were the rest of her commandos. She appreciated not having to remind any of them of the little things that would help them all avoid becoming casualties. These commandos were professionals, determined and intelligent, and Ali had little to worry about regardless of the nature of their missions. Ali gently fingered the trigger of her rifle, feeling the pressure of the metal against her fingertip. It was a comforting feeling, the first thing she felt before putting a round into an enemy. It had a soothing effect, always helping to calm her nerves or focus her attention. Firing a weapon on another being was one of the most dangerous moments of a person's life, and Ali and the rest of her commandos had been trained to treat such an event with the utmost seriousness and caution. Professionals, all. Brothers, all. Vode'an1.1: "Brothers all." A Mandalorian saying. *Malcolm watched the group below. He confirmed the information Ali relayed to him by clicking his comlink. His scope fell on each individual in turn, except one was missing. Panning to his left, he spotted one of the guards on patrol. The man had now broke away from the group and seemed to be venturing further off. Hitting his comlink, he relayed the information to Ali.*::Thornwulf to Leftenant Hadrix. One of my hostiles broke away from the group. He appears to venturing rather close to our Jensaarai. What are your orders?:: *His trigger finger pulled the trigger on his rifle to its halfway point. He was ready to take the shot at any given second.*

Leftenant Ali Hadrix, GCF-1404 4th Platoon, FOX Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st IBCT, GALSAF Approx. 1 Kilometer South of Echo Base Main Hangar Bay entrance Ali caught Crystaall Sehefadu's approach from the rear of her HUD view just as @malcom settled into position nearby her. Thornwulf brought his rifle scope to his visor and began to confirm the numbers they had surveyed in the area. Ali double-clicked her comlink in receipt of Malcolm's report then listened to Crystaall and Aidan's own transmissions and replied over the squad channel so the rest of the team would hear her revised plan. @aidan, you'll be their main cover once they've reached the hangar. Malcolm, you take one half of the team and head out towards the hangar, following Crystaall's path. I want you to start moving once she's passed the first hostile team we've downed for her. The rest of you are with me, we'll head out after downing last of the aruetiise1, Crystaall reaches the hangar and Aidan's able to take over the task of covering her. Once we've all made it to the hangar, we'll pop those grenades and assault through. Dismounts go first, we'll deal with vehicles after that; the grenades should keep them out of the fight long enough for us to clear the hangar of personnel. Order of movement will be heavy gunners and grenadiers first, I want to light that hangar up like we're celebrating. After that, we can clear the rest of Echo Base and report back to Garwig Gil Ga'Mesh. Ali waited until she received confirmation of her orders from the rest of the team, then spoke once more, keeping her rifle aimed at the first group of poachers. The plan was good. Nothing elaborate. He appreciated that much much from Hadrix. From his prone position, snow began to pile on his back, acting like a blanket. What he didn't appreciate were the lack of any more patrols on this side of the base. It didn't sit well with Aidan that there could be more scouts out behind them. Aidan got up into a crouch, shaking the snow off his back. Ready to tail Crystaall and her team...*Crystaall looked at Lynda and the other Jensaarai and cleared her throat.* "I need someone to spot hostiles with the sniper squad. I also need someone to be ready to report every action to the other teams, mainly Garwig. I also need someone to come with me and Ursi to watch our backs. This person must know the meaning of silence within combat and the Force. Anyone left, stay with Ali. And don't move without my go ahead." *Crystaall nodded to Ursi and pressed a button on her right wrist, activating a small stealth generator. It made Crystaall only visible through the small shimmer the generator provided as it hid her within the snow. She crouched and made her way to the side wall nearby, making her way around any guards in her way, expecting Ursi and another Jensaarai to follow her and keep silence.* ...Which really did not take long. While the terrain left a lot to be desired, it wouldn't be impossible for him to catch up and get settled into a decent distance between himself and her team. About 50 meters away from the wall, he settled into position as Crystaall's team activated their stealth generators. If he wasn't paying attention, he would have lost them. Fortunately for him, he was and the falling snow somewhat painted out their silhouettes. He pulls up his rifle, cursing himself for not have eyes behind his back.

Leftenant Ali Hadrix, GCF-1404 4th Platoon, FOX Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st IBCT, GALSAF Approx. 1 Kilometer South of Echo Base Main Hangar Bay entrance Ali had been listening in on every conversation that her commandos had broadcast over the net. @kaytra and Veng were both holed up in the caves near Echo Base, though there still hadn't been any word of Sylas being sighted. The brief thought of the man brought anger to rise in the form of bile at the back of Ali's throat. She didn't hate the man, but he had been proving a severe liability to their missions. Ali considered the sort of talk she would have to have with Captain Borler, Fox Company's Commanding Officer. Ali would hate to dump Jonn off as a problem to another unit, but…Ali shook the thought from her head. Jonn was her commando, her responsibility, and the responsibility of all of Fox Company's soldiers. They looked out for each other, and Ali couldn't shake the feeling that there were issues going on behind the scenes that Jonn had kept secret. He owed it to her to provide an explanation, and she owed it to him to give him the chance. Please just still be alive, Ali thought to herself as she heard her comlink click and @malcom's voice sound in her ear. Thornwulf to Leftenant Hadrix. One of my hostiles broke away from the group. He appears to venturing rather close to our Jensaarai. What are your orders?Ali checked Crystaall Sehefadu's position through her scope, then brought the thermal around the area, until she caught the poacher in her sights. Ali confirmed Thornwulf's warning, then voiced her opinion over the comlink. You know what to do, Thornwulf. Slot him once he gets too close, but wait for the snow flurries to pick up if you can to cover your shot. Their Verpine rifles were silent, but noise wasn't Ali's concern. Malcolm would know, being the seasoned soldier he was, that the snow flurries would mask the sight of one of the poachers dropping to the ground. Kill quietly, kill quickly, kill calmly, that was the mantra drilled into GALSAF Commandos on the first day of their training. Malcolm knew what to do.Everyone else on poacher team one, get your sights ready. When Thornwulf takes his shot, we're taking ours.As Ali waited for Thornwulf to slot his poacher, she lowered the power on her scope, expanding her view of the tundra. Once this first patrol was down, Crystaall and her apprentice would be free to move onward to the second marker, where the next team of poachers was moseying around. As the two Jensaarai reached that next marker, Ali and her team would push forward, taking up a closer position from which to cover them. After the second poacher team had been eliminated, Crystaall and her student would make their way towards the third team, where @aidan would take up security for the pair, leaving Ali and her team to move forward. At that point, the entire force would be ready to move on the Echo Base hangar, slipping in and disabling their vehicles before eliminating any grounded personnel and securing the hangar. Ali waited, raising her scope's power once more and placing her crosshairs on the team one poacher closest to Malcolm's target. The rest of her team was acting similarly, picking targets that fell best within their sectors of fire. She squeezed the trigger on her rifle a bit more tightly, waiting for that single moment when she'd watch Malcolm's target drop into the snow.Center mass, people. Always shoot center mass.

*Malcolm confirmed Ali's command. He placed the poacher in his cross hairs. His right eye diligently watching down the scope, his left watching his terrain. Quickly the snow began to pick up. The poacher, no a good distance away from the group, was almost completely invisible to them. Gently squeezing the trigger, Malcolm took the shot. The round hit just under the poachers left armpit. Without so much as a sound or struggle, the poacher fell fast first into the snow.*

@malcom took his shot, the silent Verpine round whipping through the air and crossing the distance between the muzzle of his rifle and his target and invisible speed. The distant poacher shook with the impact and dropped instantly, falling like a stone into the snow and disappearing from sight. The snow flurries quickly began covering his body, hiding it from all view save for the thermals of Ali's scope that would continue to read as the body took time to cool. As the poacher fell, Ali felt a grin touch her lips and she squeezed the trigger of her own rifle, sending a round through the chest of her own target. The rest of the team did the same, with near-perfect timing. Each member of the patrol fell into the snow, silent and unaware of what had ended their lives. Ali pressed the release on her bipods and they snapped back up against the barrel of her weapon. She pushed herself up and out of the snow, gathering her feet beneath her and bolting down the hillside towards their next position, off to the North-East. The rest of the team followed, dispersing themselves as they covered the distance, moving in teams of two for several dozen meters before dropping into the snow once more and covering their comrades. The group of commandos carried on like this for the next several minutes, bounding in teams of two a pair at a time. In the distance, their movements would be invisible, even up close it would be hard to glimpse sight of the grey-clad ghosts as they snuck up on their unsuspecting prey.
Ali dropped to the icy ground for the last time as they reached their target position, a portion of the hillside that remained a half-kilometer out from the Echo Base hangar bay. Immediately, she snapped her bipods back into place, landing her thermal scope on the second patrol of poachers, checking briefly on the locations of the rest of her team as well as that of Crystaall Sehefadu and her padawan. As she reoriented herself to their new location in relation to the Echo Base hangar, Ali thought to check in with the rest of the platoon, hoping to hear some good news about Gaebryl. @kaytra, He'gai, any word on Sheperd? Tell me you have good news for me.

*Kaytra heard Alis voice come across her comlink. She paused for a moment and felt her stomach drop some. She had almost forgot about Shepard. Before she could answer He'gais voice came across the comlink.*
-He'gai- ::Shepard will be okay Leftenant. Sam reached us quick enough. Heading back to base now.::
*Kaytra let out a sigh of relief. At least things were looking up on that end.*

The group moving through the caves finally found an exit and slowly made their way to the light. They did not leave just yet as they trying to get barrings on where they had come out. Garwig instructed Janus to make contact with the other team to asses their situation. Janus nodded and got to work on contacting the others.
Cavern team to Surface team, we have just reached are destination what is your status?
He said and continued to scan the area with his HUD. The transmission was to all of the coms of the other team, so anyone could reply. Things seemed to have fallen silent for the time being and until they knew the situation of the other group there was not much they could do.

Anemoi Station, Hoth – Operation Athena
Facility personnel testimonials:
Dr. Amelia Breslin – Day 21 "Most subjects are taking to the experiment remarkably well, however, the further the project continues the more the anxious the guards become. It frightens them to know these creatures are becoming more intelligent by the day. I suppose I don’t blame them for fearing what they do not understand but fear is what we’re trying to eliminate right? Isn’t that the entire goal of the Organization? Maybe it means different things to different people but that is most certainly what it means to me. The elimination of fear and the pursuit of equality."
Private Ian Black – Day 42 "My second day here and I already hate this post. It’s bad enough that we’re stuck in this facility because of the cold, but I’ve just learned what we’re guarding and I have to say, I’ve seen enough holovids to know that this is a bad idea. The chief researcher here, Dr. Howard, said that this was the future and blah, blah, blah. I think he’s a lunatic but what do I know? I’m just a grunt after all. If I’m honest, I know that Hoth is where soldier’s careers go to die but I don’t actually want to die because of some science project."
Dr. Amelia Breslin – Day 63 "Sadly we had our first casualty a couple of days ago, Subject 9428. It seems that while the experiment is working well on most there are a few that are either resisting the treatments or their bodies are simply rejecting it. I know that what we’re doing here is a good thing but do the ends always justify the means? Some of the other researchers see them as just beasts, but they’re more than that, they’re living beings with emotions. They feel the pain of loss just as any of us do; I saw it today when 9428 passed away. They deserve better."
Dr. Terrence Faust – Day 84 "It seems our fearless leader has taken a turn for the worse and that bratty idealist Breslin has stepped in to fill his shoes. We’ll see how long that last. Neither one of them knows how to properly conduct these types of experiments; Breslin is too soft and Howard is too by the book. Science demands more, it deserves more, and I’m going to deliver if it’s the last thing I do."
Captain Cameron Preston – Day 105 "Casualty report: Dr. William Howard."
Dr. Amelia Breslin – Day 126 "It has been tough with William’s passing, Dr. Howard was a brilliant man and with his loss the weight of Athena rests squarely on my shoulders. Dr. Faust seems particularly unaffected by the loss of a supposed friend and colleague. Perhaps it the reality of the situation hasn’t set in completely, or maybe he’s just a cold hearted rodder. Anyway, to date we’ve lost sixteen wampas, but under my watch hopefully that number will be substantially less. The Mysterious Man trusts me to lead this operation effectively and I don’t intend to disappoint."
Private Ian Black – Day 147 "Hey, maybe I was wrong. I’ve been here over a hundred days and so far no incidents. At least now someone sensible is in charge of research; she actually treats these things like they’re people, which while a little weird makes me feel a little bit better about all of this. I also heard that we’re expanding the facility, something about them finding something under the ice. An excavation team and some hot shot archaeologist are coming in to dig it up once the construction crew is finished with the expansion."
Dr. Steven Easton – Day 168 "Construction is coming along nicely. Preliminary scans indicate that it’s some sort of ship underneath, I’m sending the data back to the Nexus for our technicians for analysis. Judging from the depth I would say that it crash landed here sometime around the height of the Mandalorian Wars."
Sophia Benson, researcher – Day 189 "With the workload split between Athena and the excavation there has been little to no time for much of anything else, including rest, for anyone. The whole station seems to be running on fumes, but I guess Dr. Breslin has been placed in charge of the entire facility and she says she’s bringing in more people to cover the workload. Dr. Easton seemed alright with it but I saw Dr. Faust and Dr. Breslin arguing in the hallway until Captain Preston approached them. I heard her say something about abusing the wampas."
Dr. Terrence Faust – Day 210 "They’re animals. She’ll see that one day, just animals. And animals need to know their place. Luckily I’ve been placed in charge of Athena and with most of her attention on the new discovery I can run things the way they ought to be done. I’ve already made leaps toward our end goal and only cracked a few eggs. It’s amazing what a little drive can help you achieve."
Dr. Steven Easton – Day 231 "The final scans are in! It’s a Taung! A real Taung! I knew that ship was Mandalorian, I just knew it. Perfectly preserved too, we're going to try to reanimate him once we get the right equipment here. This is the discovery of a lifetime!"
Dr. Amelia Breslin – Day 252 "With Lazarus left in the capable hands of Dr. Easton I can return the majority of my attention back to Athena. Dr. Faust has time and time again abused the wampas and it seems that some of them have now reverted back to their more primal nature. He ordered one of them be killed for attacking him. Can he really blame them? I’m holding a meeting with Captain Preston and Dr. Easton to come to a decision about Dr. Faust’s further involvement with projects here at this station. In brighter news, one of the Wampas has been showing far more promise than the others, she has become their matriarch of sorts. I think I’ll call her Athena, after the project, she is after all the pinnacle of what we’re trying to achieve."
Captain Cameron Preston – Day 273 "Status update: After review Dr. Terrence Faust is placed on temporary leave of absence and confined to his quarters for an undetermined period. Private Black has been reassigned to guard Dr. Faust until such time as the Doctor is released."
Private Ian Black – Day 294 "I can’t believe I’m stuck guarding this guy. Of course it isn’t all bad. Dr. Breslin…Amelia, comes by to visit me. She brings me food and drinks throughout the day but I’m not sure why she does it personally; there are plenty of assistants around here to do it for her. And Faust has to eat sometime right? I could always just eat in the mess with him. It’s nice to have her come around though."
Dr. Steven Easton – Day 295 "The thawing process begins today. Lazarus is in full swing now, at Dr. Breslin’s side I feel as though we can do anything. I can’t believe I’m going to be able to talk to a real Taung, I’ll be the first in thousands of years. It’s crazy, a thought to be extinct species alive and well, right here."
Private Ian Black – Day 296 "Amelia is amazing. She cooked me a full dinner last night, and I have to say, with the limited supplies that she had I’m impressed with the results. It was delicious. I think I’m in love. Who would have thought a grunt like me could land a girl like that?"
Dr. Amelia Breslin – Day 297 "Athena has shown remarkable progress, she has even begun teaching the others. She’s written in basic and even spoken, it’s quite amazing really, though somewhat broken. She understands what I am saying and when I speak she listens. I told Dr. Howard and Dr. Faust that all they needed was some gentle guidance and a little love. Who knows how far we would have been if Faust wouldn’t have gotten his hands on them. The possibilities are endless, Athena is already learning so much and it seems that we are just now scratching the surface of what she can do."
Sophia Benson, researcher – Day 298 "It’s crazy, they arrested Dr. Faust. I know it was a while back but I haven’t done one of these in a while. I mean the guy was a jerk but it was all kind of hush hush. Seems strange to me but maybe he did something really bad. And this is the Organization after all. Secrets are kind of their thing from what I’m told, I don’t really have the clearance to know what is and isn’t secrets around here. Oh, the Taung’s thawing process is almost finished, once that’s done reanimation shouldn’t take more than a day or two. Hopefully he’s nicer than the stories I’ve heard."
Dr. Terrence Faust – Day 299 "It’s been almost a month. And so help me when I get out of here that woman will pay. They all will."
Captain Cameron Preston – Day 300 "Status Update: Dr. Terrence Faust has escaped. I repeat, Dr. Terrence Faust has escaped. Anemoi Station is now on lockdown. Dr. Faust is to be considered armed and dangerous, do not approach. I repeat, do not approach."
<Unknown> – Day 301 "Help us…" Static

~~Grinning Wampa, Kappa Class long-range Shuttle, aft compartment~~ Krayton left the bridge, stopping at the equipment locker to don his cold-weather gear and pick up his rifle. He thought for a moment about what to take, before settling on a SFOR carbine. Easier to carry than the A-280, but just as devastating. Double-checking his sidearm, a DL-22, and his slicing gear and standard med kit residing in a small pack, he walked aft to the crew compartment to meet up with Hans and the rest of the troops that would be hitting the surface.

"Stay safe out there K." He said with a smile and a nod as K left the cockpit. As the door closed and sealed Trent took complete control of the Wampa then turned on the internal comms and spoke in his best flight attendant voice. As the loading doors open please make sure to keep your hands and feet inside the A-A5 or they'll likely freeze solid from the subzero temperatures and break off from the high speed winds. Thank you for flying T&K Airlines, and remember us for all your travel needs.
He shut off the comms and waited for the signal that everyone was aboard the A-A5 then opened the doors for them. Once they were clear he shut the doors and pulled up to 30 meters to hover around the facility. The storm made it difficult to see much, though he could see the facility well enough to tell that there were no signs of activity of any kind. It was unnerving that some of his friends were heading in there not knowing what they were getting into.
Once he was at 30 meters and holding he began to monitor their communications.Radio check, sound off.

Hans and his group were ready when the shuttle landed and they quickly made their way to the waiting A-A5. Each soldier was armed, and ready for whatever this facility had in store. Their objective was clear enough, but he got the feeling that this wouldn't be simple. Isabelle wouldn't have told him to bring extra muscle if it was just a simple extraction. There could be anything inside that base...
The soldier couldn't help but roll his eyes as Trent's voice came over the loudspeaker as they boarded the A-A5, though he could hear the rest of his group chuckling a little bit. Well anything to keep the mood light, he supposed...
As the truck got moving, Hans checked his earpiece as Trent's voice once again sounded, this time for a radio check. Each soldier under his command did the same, each signaling that their comm lines were open.Ground team is good to go.Hans nodded to his troops."Stay sharp. I doubt we'll be getting a warm welcome."
Linus piped up from where he was sitting."Yep. I bet it'll be a...cold reception."
Lloyd elbowed his brother, groaning at the bad pun. Honestly..."Please, this mission is bad enough without your stupid puns!"
Marisa scowled at the brothers's antics."Will you two knock it off already?"
Hans couldn't help but chuckle at all of this, but still, they needed to keep their focus on the mission."All right, that's enough. We're almost to the mission site."

Kay sat at the controls, which were archaic next to a flight control, but still busy enough to have to concentrate, especially since they wanted to approach with caution, and pick a path thru the terrain that wouldn't cause too much havoc with the A-A5. Quietly, Kay had concerns this vehicle would withstand the temperatures of Hoth for more than a couple of hours. The aft compartment door he had left open, within easy line-of-sight to Hans, with whom he exchanged a quick nod of readiness. His earpiece crackled to life, and he replied to Trent immediately.
Good comms.
Checking the load in his carbine one last time, Kay strained his eyes through the driving snow and wind to just barely make out the structure in the distance.
Top, Hans -- check this out. Allowing the vehicle to come to a standstill, idling a few feet above the crust, he pointed thru the storm which raged outside the viewport. 50 yards, North-North-East. Looks like nobody's home. We've got a few options for entry: head for the landing / vehicle bay and hope the codes we've got are current, check the front door / personnel egress, or we find a back door...
He glanced over his shoulder at Isabelle, a smirk in his eye.
Lady's choice.

Hans narrowed his eyes as he looked towards the facility, barely visible through the wind and snow. He couldn't tell from this distance if it was damaged in any way, though that would become more clear as they got closer and took a look inside. Getting in might be a problem if all the doors were locked since they hadn't brought much in the way of heavy ordinance with them. Then again, that was why Tanara was with the group. Hopefully it wouldn't be an issue.
"This hunk of junk will freeze if we leave it outside. One way or another, we should think about getting it into the vehicle bay once we've gained entry to the facility."

The Twi'lek girl was silent for most of the trip down to the planet. In fact, she spent the majority of it changing out of her mechanic uniform and into her cold weather outfit. As she did, her mind wandered to the last time she had visited this planet. It had been three, nearly four years, but she hadn't forgotten a single detail of that trip. She had gone with her boyfriend, and her most trusted friends, and her grandfather, to infiltrate and destroy a hidden Sith base, from which a deadly order of elemental assassins were trained out of, and rescue her twin brother. They were eventually successful, but they had all been scarred from the experience. Some of the horrors she had witnessed there were still impossible for her to describe, even years later.
Her mind snapped back into the present as the commlink earpiece started buzzing with her teammates testing the connection of the comm channel. She thought about replying, but decided against it. She didn't have anything to add to the conversation, and she knew that most military operations preferred minimal comm chatter. Instead, Tanara continued storing the rest of her belongings into her backpack. She put her spare clothes in the bottom, with the food rations mixed in to provide protection, and then her small tool kit, slicing kit, and her spare blaster and ammo.
Just as she was grabbing the last ammo clip, her hand came to rest on her lightsaber. She paused her packing and carefully picked it up. It had been a long time since she last used it, a fact that brought with it a heavy weight of guilt. The lightsaber had originally been a gift from her father to her mother, a very long time ago. After her mother disappeared shortly after her father's death, the lightsaber was passed down to her. She carefully used a spare rag to wipe some grime off of the gold plates that encompassed the hilt, bringing some of the shine back to it, and then clipped it to her belt. Even after all this time, it felt natural to have the blade at her side.
Noting that the tank had stopped moving, she picked up her pack, swung it over her shoulders and headed to the cockpit to join the others. She started adjusting the straps once she arrived.
=Tanara= "Hans is right, this tank won't last long in the cold. Get us to the vehicle bay doors and I'll get us inside."

Roger that.
Kay fired up the repulsors and set the vehicle in motion, skirting the perimeter of the installation until a suitable path to the armored landing bay could be found. Didn't take much moe than a couple of minutes, but in tactical terms, it was an eternity of showing the enemy their soft underbelly. Kay didn't love the approach, but since it seemed fairly certain that there was nobody to give them a cold reception, he continued on, bringing the sled to rest fifty feet from the blast doors.
You're up, Tee.

The Twi'lek girl stared out the front window, passed the swirling snow and ice at the vehicle bay door. It was difficult to tell where the control box for it was, but she was sure that once she got out there, she would find it. Even if she couldn't, there was always the Force.
=Tanara= "Right. Back in a jiffy."
She spun on her heel and casually strolled out of the cockpit, heading toward the A-A5's doors. As she passed the troop compartment, she stopped briefly and pointed at one of Han's troopers.
=Tanara= "You, with me. Grab your gun, and keep me covered."
Without even waiting for a response, the Twi'lek girl continued toward the rear doors of the tank. Once there, she raised her thermal face mask just over her nose, then placed her goggles over her eyes, creating a seal between the goggles and the face mask. Once those were in place, she raised her hood, and punched the controls to lower the ramp and walked off the tank. Immediately, she was assaulted by the whipping winds and battering snow and ice, but her gear protected her from the extreme harshness of the environment. Even so, the fierce winds kept her pace to a slow crawl as she fought her way toward the building.
Her mind drifted slightly as she made her way around the tank and marched toward the building. She was once again remembering the last time she had been on this icy planet. There hadn't been any violent storms on that trip...or at least, not weather storms. She was also surrounded by her friends last time. She suddenly wished they were with her again, it would make this mission much more bearable.
Once she was closer to the building, it was easier for her to observe the large bay doors, and swiftly spotted the control box she was looking for. The closer she got, the more worried Tanara became about how vulnerable she, and her companion, were. She brought her hand up and activated the comlink attached to her ear.
=Tanara= ::Krayton! What do you have on the scanners? I don't want to have any surprises creeping up on me while I'm out here!::
While she waited for a reply, she reached the control box and forced it open. The unfamiliar layout of the controls, and wiring gave her pause as she studied it, tracing out the various circuits for some kind of logical pattern. It didn't take her long to identify the important circuits, but when she rearranged the necessary components, nothing happened. Curious, she tested the power feeds, expecting to still find some trace of power. She was met with nothing...the control box was dead. Clearly, the lock-down disabled the power generators. A mild frustration, but nothing she wasn't prepared to handle. She turned to her protector and tried to shout over the howling winds.
=Tanara= "The control box is dead! I'm going to have to use the Force to open the doors! Keep your eyes peeled!"
She tried to use hand and arm gestures to assist in relaying her message, but she wasn't certain her companion completely understood what she was saying. Knowing time was precious, she turned back to the bay doors, and started to reach out with the Force, trying to feel her way through the wall, to find the motors connected to the door. It took her nearly a minute to find, but she wasted no time in pouring her concentration into turning the motor, causing the door to slowly rise. The sheer weight of the doors, and the effort it took to telekinetically spin the motor, was very draining for her, which caused her to worry that she wouldn't be able to hold the doors open long enough for the tank to get through. Even with her concentration almost entirely focused on the door, she still managed to make a quick calculation to determine how long it would take the tank to reach the doors from where it was currently hold position. Armed with her answer, she quickly activated her comlink again.
=Tanara= ::Get that tank moving in the next ten seconds, or this whole thing will be for nothing!::

Easy, Tee. You spend as much energy on the keeping the doors open as you do bitchin', we'll be in great shape.
The armored truck had been in motion the moment the doors had inched upward. There was nothing on the scanner. No need to waste breath telling the Twi' what was obvious by omission. Pulling into the hangar / vehicle bay, Krayton stopped a short distance inside, dropping the A-A5 onto its landing struts and throwing on the exterior floods, casting great swaths of light into the cold, vast interior. At least a dozen vehicles -- from an old Barloz-class light transport to a massive Brayl-class bulk freighter, missing two engines at most of the superstructure -- stood half-disassembled, and in various states of repair, but at first glance around the hangar, nothing air-worthy was here. In fact, it looked a lot like workers had just put their tools down half-way through the job and walked away. Might have been five minutes ago, except for the long, thick icicles forming on the handle of a hydrospanner that caught Kay's eye.
As soon as the truck touched the hard-deck, Kay flipped on the internal comm.
Touchdown. Ground team, we're in. Still looks like nobody's home. Powering down all but essentials, We'll be out in 10 tics. Out.
Grabbing his gear and nodding to Isabelle, the Pilot shut down the main systems, leaving active the security systems, tertiary systems and main computer, which he could link to via his encrypted comm. Moving out into the crew cabin, he shouldered his pack, checked the load in his carbine and moved out to join the group, rifle at the low-ready.
