Drawing from several sources of inspiration, the Mark X was designed and built by the Dromund Kalakar Shipyards, as the next generation interceptor or space superiority fighter. With the mass influx of technology blooming within the First Order, the Blackguard Imperium was unable to keep up. Based on both previous Imperial and Sith designs, the Mark X was armed with four laser cannons, one on each wing tip, a twin laser cannon under the cockpit and dual missile launchers on each wing. Improving upon previous Sith designs and investing a little more into the well being of the pilot, the craft as also shielded. While still lacking any sort of hyperdrive, the craft made up for such shortcomings by out performing every other starfighter in the Blackguard Navy. Upon successful tests, mass production began in earnest.
